Psychie What's the story on the EU-11A (for lack of a better name for the new wespon design) and its method of recharging those 20 augmented blasts? Does its battery need to be recharged at base (so it's only good for one Adventure)? Does it self-recharge like the standard EU-11? Or if it doesn't, might we fashion giant energy magazines for it?

What works best for the balance of your game?

As far as a longer mission is concerned, certainly not for a single skirmish. So the limit is worth noting.

Rykon, that's precisely why I brought up the recharge rate. The last thing I wanted was for us not to have that discussed while we were stuck in the thick of combat. =)

Psychie *chuckles* We got another week off without a major incident? You realize my character cannot just sit on her bum and count the stars in the heavens all week, right? =) Would it be all right if Gabi at least got started on Ajax-related improvements? Like maybe gathering up another pair of ion cannons for our Ajaxes, designing a collapsible melee weapon for Ryuko's Ajax, or creating a "stealth" system like the one on the Myrmidon (since Gabi knows both the Myrmidon and the Ajax well)? Or something else? I don't want her just sitting sitting around (but I will if that's your plan because this is your game). =)

EDIT: I don't mean for it to be another event like the one we just had with Lt. Dansfield; just something else she could be doing during the downtime, please.

You can begin the process of making some new toys for the Ajax, since the VHTs have just gotten some love. It won't be ready before your recon run, but to make up for that, both the choppers are getting the dual arm mounted blasters to give you improved firepower.

Purr Just to clarify what Marlom was talking about, since I'm sure Gabi would know what it meant. Ground penetrating radar, not just ground radar. The kind meant to image things that are underground.

Also! Marlom definitely gonna be bringing some charges if he is cleared to bring some more D-40's.

Yeah, both she and I understood 'ground-penetrating.' But take a look at the Robotech Masters Saga sourcebook. Is there a better mecha-based radar system than the ones we've got? The Tac Corp Ajax has the best I know of, but I may have missed something in there?

Even if it doesn't penetrate. I can definitely see it helping in this instance. Would actually go as far to consider that the Ajaxs in a tank squadron might even be considered force multipliers.

Though maybe there are some standalone GPR equipment rather than something vehicle based. A GM question, of course.

I thought about that too but I didn't think we had the time.

Don't forget that the Robotech series and subsequent game are both fairly old, so some technology that we take for granted now was not developed yet. At this point, the Ajax radar on Gabi's bird is the best you have access to. It is designed to 'look down' for ground targets, and a sizable target under the ground just might be detectable by it.
