Hmm... just had a closer look at the walker - I certainly see the flexibility there, but I'm not really feeling it. From my point of view (and that's mostly background-wise at this point), it's just a worse mystic, and I'm not really feeling like playing another one of those. Mind you, the mystic I played is certainly one of my all-time favorites - but I'd prefer playing something different this time, I think... bloody hell, too many options... I'm about to roll a D20 and see what I get :D

Well, thats the sheet, and I found one of the best pictures to show the type of person the anti monster is, plus, soon to be festive.

I think I know how you feel, Silanon!

Hey everybody? Following up on Epiphany's thoughts, I would really like to know this: if our characters know each other, what specifically do we know about each other?

1. What does your character look like?
2. What have you shared with the group?
3. What personality traits does your character have?
4. What do we know of your goals?
5. Do you have any hated enemies you have talked to the rest of us about?
6. Are there any items that you possess that you seem to covet?
7. And who in the heck is driving the vehicle Sherwood is going to give us? I don't think my character can! Ha ha!

EDIT: Fixed a typographical error. =)

Your Smuggler has a few good piloting skills, but so will your NPC.

I added some artwork for Terra and a little bit of background. Not too sure how much to put down, since we are still in the very early stages of this.

Ha ha ha! What a great shot of Sherro! Merry Christmas, ya big beastie! =)

In other news, I just noticed this in the Character section:

For non-humans (such as an Anti-Monster or Atlantian) that has a number like '19 + 1d6', roll the dice indicated, but reroll 1's and 2's.

Uh, looks like I will be rolling some more.

And... I will keep "throwing another dice" until I get a result higher than 2. =)

Sherwood, is it possible for me to have some kind of hand held weapon for my Automation to give me some ranged attack ability? A TW weapon would be awesome, but I could accept a regular Rail Gun or something similar.

Sherro, aka, Santa's big helper.

Aka the Anti-monster who saved christmas

I'm not sure how much to put with the character and how much we just talk about it here. My character's name is Trent Lockhart and I've got a face claim for him. I'm not sure of the angle Sherwood Sherwood is going to be using so I don't want to give away too much and I'm not sure that I will necessarily start with the group. If that is the case then you wouldn't know anything about my character ahead of time.

And to reinforce what Sherwood Sherwood said, my sidekick and I are both pilots :)

Go ahead and post your sheet and the pic you sent me to the Character tab, and we will be that much closer to game start.

I'm working on Gradicus's character sheet in My Private Workshop. There are a lot of details I want to get right, so I'm trying to be careful with it. Plus, each day that I put a little time into him, I get to know him a little better. He's definitely an Undead Slayer with a couple of great twists. If anyone has any questions about him, just let me know.

EDIT: While he's got terrific Attributes and abilities, I don't know how hard of a hitter he's going to be. At this stage, his main weapon is his supernaturally-strong fist.

Psychie Psychie I will let you have a Starfire Pulse Cannon. It comes with half of its load of PPE clips giving you eight shots, but it can also be powered by the PPE of the Automation at the cost of 20 points per shot.

Sherwood? I'm choosing skills here. My character is basically a freed Atlantean gladiator that learned samurai swordsmanship prior to his life as an Undead Slayer. While he's pretty skilled with melee weapons (katana, shield, spear, etc.), he's got W.P. Energy Pistol, W.P. Energy Rifle, and W.P. Archery for ranged skills. What kinds of weapons would you recommend an Undead Slayer?

EDIT: Should those be enough or should I invest in Heavy Weapons? Plus, he can use TK weapons, being a magic-user, yes?
EDIT: Also, in the Game Master Guide, there appear to be two guidelines as to how to add Supernatural Strength when using M.D. melee weapons? Which are you using?

If you have access to the Federation of Magic book or the New West book, they both have a great TW weapon selection to pick from, and yes, you can use TW weapons since you have a PPE rating.

What I'm going to do with the Supernatural Strength and melee stuff is use your Strength as the base, and add the melee weapon to it. So, if your full strength punch would do 6d6 MD (for example) and you have a large vibrosword, your total would be 9d6 MD per hit.

And I have my laptop working again, thanks to the father-in-law taking it apart and fixing it. I feel so much better having my baby back.

All hope is lost - seems like my local store won't provide me with the option to get a quick glance at the relevant books. Turns out that the Rifts RPG doesn't sell too well on this side of the big pond :(

Just spent a few moments to write down a few different character ideas - at the moment, I feel like the technowizard is less one-dimensional than the others I thought about. Still tinkering around, though, so don't take anything other than an inspiring, coalition-disapproving character for granted.

Dang! Sorry to hear that, Silanon!

If you come across an O.C.C. or R.C.C. that sounds neat, let me know and I'll write out the description of it for you like I did with the Anti-Monster?

I am just a fellow player here but, I would like for you to play a character long-term, and that requires finding something you really like. Have you seen anything else that interests you?

Thanks for the offer! I just found a list of all the possible OCC's etc. - I'll let you know if something there gets me excited.

Completely irrelevant for my character creation, but I just have to ask: Who the hell are the Cactus People, and are they actually what their name suggests? Apparently, they appear in the New West book as an RCC...

On a more serious note: I'm getting somewhere! Think I've reached a point where I finally know what kind of character I'm looking for. At the moment, the TW feels like the right choice for it as well; some psionics, a bit of magic, and the option to create a few neat things along the way...
One other class that coaught my eye name-wise was the Mind Bleeder (Psycape) - if someone could tell me how that one differs from the usual mind melter, that'd be highly appreciated (please, no details - just the basic idea). Apart from that: Where exactly are elves located in the Rifts World? I was considering the option to go for another race to get a bit more distance from the whole Coalition dilemma (think that'd be a decent idea character-wise), and at least the typical elves might have the attributes I'm mostly looking forward to.
