I seriously doubt this will happen but, this is what I am trying to avoid:

/silly on

Zephiron holds the sword aloft, regaling and how it adds to his royal and majestic presence. But suddenly, his eyes go all wonky! He screams a blood-curdling oath, "DEAAATH TO THE WICKEEED! STARTING WITH MYSELF!"

Eron gets sus. "Has he been possessed by him? Has Salnesh returned?

Snowfall slaps his forehead. "Oh, just great! It's a dragon slaying sword!"

Terra commands! "Snowfall! Have Juu sit on his chest and use all of his heads to hold him down! I'll have my kids hold his arm in place! Daisy! Grab his other arm! Eron! Help me get the sword out of his hand! Start with his thumb! Snowfall! Stop playing with his tail! Now isn't the time for playing games!"

Zeph shouts, "FIRST, I KILL MYSELF! THEN THE CHIANG-KU! NONE SHALL SUUURVIIIVE!"

Rammoth inches away in growing worried. "Uh, is Zephiron always like this?"

Snowfall, helplessly caught in the Zeph's tail, flails around wildly. "No, no! He is fine! He's just... uhhh... practicing for next week's play! Yeah , that's it!" Praying to Inari, he asks, "how do we wind up in these messes?! HAAAALLLP!!"

/silly off
Clearly the Mecha-Nugget's Lemonade [Read Mechanoid Motoroil] is to blame for such an outburst.

Or the dragon-slaying Rune Sword trying to possess him. One of the two! =)

Wait! Maybe it's both! =)

You will have to either learn more about the crystal, or do some experimentation to find out.

I'm digging the really cool Bowl of the Winds! I can just see a number with the making that useful! That is, once we have figured out the details! I can imagine it can help us hide the Walking Fortress too!

I'm currently typing up a description of the swords, and should have it done soon.

Sherwood Sherwood

Great!

How does W.P. Sword work in your game? Are you using the definition from Rifts Ultimate?

Some folks I've gamed with have a one-size-fits-all category while others change it up like ala Palladium RPG style so that you need to choose more WPs in order to use more types of swords.

I am also asking in part because if the two handed sword goes Snowfall's way, I don't know if his sword proficiency will allow him to use it?

WP Swords works on all blade weapons with a blade larger than, say, a foot in length. Any smaller than that and then you will need WP Knife to use effectively.

Just thinking aloud here.

Each of us seems to have a powerful weapon of some kind. Snowfall has his Tatsu Blaster (Rune gun). Terra wound up with the Power Staff, didn't she? Zeph has his Rune halberd. Daisy has her Thunderer Axe. And Eron has Sir Duncan's enchanted sword. Is that a runesword?

Okay, those are some awesome swords! Cool deal, Sherwood!

I believe that the Power Staff is group gear, and has not been claimed by anyone in particular. Eron's sword is a holy sword, with many of the same properties of a rune weapon.

Okies, I am just going to come out and say it. A shape-shifting sword those abilities? My character is a shapeshifter so Snowfall and I are very interested in that one.

We also have a bunch of gear that the Werejaguars promised us upon completion of the adventure, but if memory serves, most of that was technological gear?

I never knew that the Power Staff was up for grabs, so I may be interested in that in place of the sword I have now.

I remember that the were-jaguars had a bunker that Daisy found a bunch of Glitter Boy suits in, but I don't remember what exactly that it has in it.

Also, I am more than willing to pass on getting one of these new blades since I already have my three Automations. That makes me quite a formidable foe on the battlefield as it is, and if I get the power staff on top of that, I don't need the swords at all.

Gradicus never wanted the power staff and Snowfall came in after the party already earned it. I don't even think he knows about it, but if he did, he'd rather it go to a true mage like Terra too.

I am on my phone or I would go back to the beginning of the adventure and find the description of what's in that bunker.
I also find myself wanting to know what each of the runeswords can do in detail. This is in part because I'm a research hound and I would not want someone to wind up with a runesword that happened to have powers they already had via some other means ("Congratulations! You can now turn into other animals end humans with the powers of the sword!" Snowfall: "But I can already do that with my Tatsu Blaster if I can't do it with my Kitsune abilities!").

Sherwood Sherwood Would it be okay if we had the details of the swords here in OOC, please?

Zephiron is just building a hoard of wealth and armaments in preparation for adulthood. He'd have no issue lending out anything he keeps when the time comes to make use of a given artifact.

Sword 1
In addition to its earlier posted ability of preventing someone of telling a lie, it will do 5d6 MD in a melee strike, provides a +1 to all Saving Throws, and it is semi-intelligent and is able to communicate with its wielder with feelings and emotions.

Sword 2
Despite its rather simple appearance, the second sword has a few nice goodies to it. It will inflict 5d6 MD in melee, but does 10d6 to demons, provides the same +1 to all Saving Throws, and it possess psionic abilities of all Sensitive and Physical abilities, plus these three Super Psi powers: Hydrokinesis, Electrokinesis, and Mind Block Auto Defense. It has a battery of 100 ISP to fuel its powers and is highly intelligent.

Sword 3
Does 5d6 MD, provides the same +1 to all Saving Throws, gives the wielder a bonus of 50 MDC when in combat up to 1x per day for a duration of 10 minutes, and glows red in the presence of supernatural evil with a sensing range of 50 feet.

Also, when looking at the psi powers of sword #2, don't forget the new powers listed in the Lore section. It has those Physical and Sensitive powers, too.

Here is a thought; The Power Lords that normally wield these staves are pretty tall, so having Tiny hold it with one hand and its sword in the other is doable, and you can still activate the magic powers of the staff through it.

Thanks!

I'm glad I asked this. In my opinion and in terms of raw power, the third sword isn't the baddest of the three. I think that second sword's powers kick the heck out of the other two. Yes, the gladius and shapechanging two-hander are useful, but that long sword is just... super-wow!

Now that we know this, who do you guys think can make best use of these?

Wow. That one sword is impressive. I still stand by my offer to pass on those swords, with the reason still being my character's focus on her Automations. However, I do like the idea that Sherwood offered up to have Tiny use the Power Staff. If there is no objection, I would go for that.

It is up to you guys to make the call on which one of you get each weapon.
