Are ISP and Chi interchangeable?

When we get down to making magic items, the first thing on Snowfall's list are noise-cancelling ear plugs for... everybody (Rammoth included)! The kind that knock out any sound above, say, 80 decibels ( like the noise cancelling headphones one uses on her shooting range). What does he need for this?

Could Zephiron mount any of the guns from the mecha, or are there some from the vehicles he might be able to use?

For those who might've read the post already (one person certainly has, thanks, Dann!) - I added another short paragraph to the post. Just bureaucracy, but figured I'd ask while Sir Allen is still available.

Sure, Sil! I really enjoy reading your posts - you have never written a "cardboard" post - every one of them is interesting and thoughtful. That doesn't mean I always follow them (Day 3 of migraine here), but... there is always something in your posts worth following regardless of what game we're in! Thanks so much for being part of us! =)

I am home today so I'm putting together a detailed loot list so we can divide up what we want and get moving with Terra's Terminators (is that our name? Hah!) to wherever we are going (Federation of Magic? Here? Somewhere else?).

I should be done shortly. =)

Heya friends! It's day 3 of this Monster Migraine (and hopefully the last of it - this one has been unusual). Writing and talking have helped a great deal. Roleplaying is therapy, isn't it? And it's great that here on RP Nation, the words stay to be enjoyed in the future. Thanks for letting me ramble here. =)

Concerning the loot, I'd like to get this stuff divvied up so we can move on with our adventures (which I'm sure is what Sherwood would like)? I'm excited that we have it, but if it's not on someone's character sheet or in a "party loot" somewhere, it's kind of just sitting there being useless, right?

Sooo how about this? I'll just make a list we can all look over along with those who have shown interest? We have...

The Tech Department
6 Glitter Boy Type 7 suits - Daisy
2 Triax Ulti-Max Powered Armor
4 Hunter Mobile Gun Assault Mecha
2 X-545 Super Hunters
"Along with the powered suits and the mecha, there are a number of different hover vehicles, including jet bikes and hover cars and trucks."

The Magic Department
The Bowl of Winds - Party Item
There have been only three of these bowls made, and the Kitsune believes that you are all looking at a Bowl of the Winds. If it is truly one of the three, it is a powerful item capable of manipulating the weather! It can perform simple changes quite easily, such as making a light rainfall come down in the middle of a cloudy day. But it can do much more than that. Given enough time to prep the surrounding area, it can whip up tornados and hurricanes just as easily as a blizzard or a drought.

But, be warned. Without a full understanding of just what you are doing, it is possible that you could cause disruptions in the weather all around you that can take years to straighten out. Truly a powerful item.

The Bowl of Winds is something that will take several minutes of time of working the magic into it to get it to work; far longer than any combat would take place. In order to make any changes to the weather, it takes an infusion of 100 PPE to get it to work, and the range of the effects cover an area in miles equal to the level of the person putting the PPE into it. More than one person can donate to the cost, and this has an added benefit of increasing the effective level of radius that the Bowl has, making ritual magic with multiple people very powerful with it.

Anti-Magic Device - Daisy

Splugorth Staff Power - Terra

Sword 1 - Manannán Mac Lir's sword of Truth - Fragarach.
Looking over the swords, the first looks to be a Roman Gladius, but a closer look shows that it is covered in Celtic runes, marking it as having an Irish or Scottish origin. Like other blades of this design, it is a heavy weapon that is good for chopping and thrusting, but lacking the same finesse as a lighter blade.

Looking at the gladius first, there is an inscription on the blade written in old Celtic of just one word: Truth. It does not take Zephiron long to be able to remember a hint of lore, telling you that this blade is Fragarach, the Sword of Manannán Mac lir, one of gods of the Tuatha De Danan of the Celtic pantheon. This blade has served many great heroes over the years, and besides having the traits of a lesser rune weapon, Fragarach has one other unique ability: When the blade is pressed against the neck of a person, demon or god, they cannot tell a lie.

In addition to its earlier posted ability of preventing someone of telling a lie, it will do 5d6 MD in a melee strike, provides a +1 to all Saving Throws, and it is semi-intelligent and is able to communicate with its wielder with feelings and emotions.

Sword 2 - The demon-slaying, good-aligned, very-intelligent, psychic-power-providing mostly otherwise normal longsword. =) Zephiron
The second is a traditional longsword. Well balanced, it is designed to be wielded with one or two hands.

The longsword is also a minor rune weapon, one that can only be used by a person of good alignment. It is a demon slayer, doing extra damage to their ilk. Certainly not something that Salnesh would want hanging around.

Despite its rather simple appearance, the second sword has a few nice goodies to it. It will inflict 5d6 MD in melee, but does 10d6 to demons, provides the same +1 to all Saving Throws, and it possess psionic abilities of all Sensitive and Physical abilities, plus these three Super Psi powers: Hydrokinesis, Electrokinesis, and Mind Block Auto Defense. It has a battery of 100 ISP to fuel its powers and is highly intelligent.

Sword 3 (which I'm calling Valere's Greatsword until someone else comes along with a better name - "Sword 3" is just... bleh. =) )
The third sword doesn't look to be very well balanced, but it is certainly heavy enough to be considered a two-handed greatsword. Made with fine golden metal, it seems to glow in the sunlight.

The third weapon is also covered in runes, with the inscription with the word in old Dragonese: Valere. With that hint, both Terra and Zephiron both know that Valere was the name of a dragon from a very long time ago, one that was a master craftsman of fine weapons. The pinnacle of his career was a large sword that, in addition to being a powerful rune weapon, could change shape and size. It can go from being a massive two-handed blade down to a tiny penknife! But that's not all. It also provides the wielder an extra level of protection (basically extra MDC) and can sense beings of supernatural evil around it, no matter what form they try to shapeshift into.

Does 5d6 MD, provides the same +1 to all Saving Throws, gives the wielder a bonus of 50 MDC when in combat up to 1x per day for a duration of 10 minutes, and glows red in the presence of supernatural evil with a sensing range of 50 feet.

Miscellaneous and Party Items
The cache of gemstones is in the 10-25 million credit range, depending on where you go to find a buyer.

Have I missed anything?

I think that's it, but I'm probably the last person to ask - I usually have no overview whatsoever.

I'd mostly like to ask what Dann mentioned earlier in regards to Eron:
Sherwood Sherwood Looking at the power armor we have, including the glitter boys: Is there anything among them that's suitable for a melee combatant? I like shiny suits of powered armor, but I don't want to do the shooting thing that usually comes with them. Just not Eron's style, plus it's Daisy's expertise. And I like my sword. Could one use the down time to optimize one suit for melee use, perhaps?

Be seriously cool if we could somehow modify one of the GB-7s for melee with automatic Dodge or W.P. Paired Weapons for Eron. But that probably means heading back into tech-territory as I don't think we have any engineers in the party.

In general, the Palladium system is notorious for its lack of melee-based stuff. Guns galore, but not a lot melee weapons for people and mecha.

Here's my two cents.

If you were to take one of the six GB-7s and do some work on it, possibly by removing the shoulder mounted weapons, that would increase its speed a bit without any penalty to its MDC armor, making it able to close into melee range easier. Then, if you take the shapeshifting sword, it is able to change its size to be more easily used by the GB suit (since it is a little larger than a person), even making it a two handed weapon for the suit if you want. That would free you up to return the holy blade to the other Cyber Knight and satisfy Eron's desire to do right by the sword and its fallen owner.

The added bonus to this is that it would give Daisy the choice of the variable laser or the gatling rail gun as an added weapon to stick on her GB suit, giving her two shoulder mounts instead of just one and not need to tear into another suit to make it happen.

To just wear the GB suit, Eron won't need any extra skills, but if you do eventually choose to add the Piot Powered Armor suit skill, it would then add to your attacks per melee as per the description of the skill.

And I think if we could find some appropriate stuff, Daisy could rig some melee stuff up to the glitterboy. Like a super heated chainsaw arm or something.

Also! Daisy would be more than happy to show people how to use a glitterboy. Which probably would be made easier since Sil wouldn't be worrying about all the firing and targeting systems that come with it.

This does sound like we're creating a monster here... I like it! I'll see, I might have a skill that I could change into some armor proficiency - demolition, for example, is on the sheet but doesn't really fit Eron's theme...
Either way, I like the heavy armor better than tats, and I like that it turns the sword into exactly the right thing for him...

Sherwood Sherwood Random idea that comes to mind while I should be asleep: Quite early, you introduced energy crystals, but it's been a while. Are they still a thing, would it be possible to enchant the shifting sword, and could one ask Sir Allen for a blessing to get something like holy damage instead? Just wondering about possibly fancy options...

That would help to close the damage gap between the two swords a little, so that's good. I have to say, I really can imagine Eron with an ever-shifting sword right in the middle of the chaos, but I'm a bit reluctant to give up the blade I have right now for it. Will require some serious thinking...

Maybe the shape shifting sword can combine with your blade, making it like a power suit for your sword. It CAN change shape after all.

Let me stress to you that I want you to enjoy playing your character, and I am not going to force you to give up the holy sword if you don't want to do so as a part of your character's personal growth. The shape-shifting sword in the hands of a GB suit would certainly do some serious damage, especially with one of the elemental power crystals added to it. But the holy sword would also do a hefty chunk of hurt to the bad guys with one of the crystals added to it, too. It is entirely up to you.

Lets just try and imagine what type of legends we are about to make with an amped up Crazy inside a Glitter Boy suit, using a rune weapon as a melee attack. That is one hell of a suit of body armor for Eron!

Are there any ranged weapons that outperform the boom gun?
Are you kidding me? You must be kidding me. The Boom Gun is it in the way of ranged weapons. It does a shit-ton of damage over an awesome range, and has a massive ammo supply. Its only downsides are the massive recoil and the sonic boom that goes off when it fires.

Don't forget the different rail gun ammo types that there are for the Boom Gun. Some are nastier than others depending on what you are going up against.

The saddest fact about Glitterboys in Palladium is that they start at the top with little to no further heights to work toward. They are generally the pinnacle of raw power from what I've heard and observed.

I don't know if there's anything as far as equipment goes that counts as an upgrade compared to the armor or the gun.

There is a long time on going debate in the Rifts world regarding the Glitter Boy. Some say it is the greatest thing since the creation of fire, others hate it since it is immobile when it fires and the sonic shockwave of the weapon going off. Both points of view are right, it just depends on your own preference as to what you wish to do.

I have still been pondering what to do with you guys now that you've blown away an enemy this potent. I was briefly thinking about Rifting you INTO SPACE! But as much fun as that will be, it will also screw Psychie's character since her Automations are not quite spaceflight worthy, even if she is wearing a spacesuit. And having them run around in one of the space stations would be a laugh considering how big they are. Running around on Mars or the Moon could work. Or I could just be evil and do it anyways. Mwuhahaha!

Well, if that were to happen, Terra has a hefty amount of badass going on just herself, even without the Automations. Now, I'm not saying I want that to happen, but it would be interesting to see.

Another option to have some fun with you guys is a trip to Europe for some Gargoyle fun. Or, a return trip to Atlantis could happen. You guys might be able to formulate a slave revolt and try to restore the ancient home to the Atlantians!

A campaign to save Atlantis from the Splurgoth? As tough as we are, I don't know if we could pull that one off without a lot of help. The whole place of Atlantis is a mess of bad guys, and there are only a handful of us.

Well, you know me. I got to try and go bigger.
Besides, I started with the boom gun, so It is my starting point for weapon comparisons ;p

A sad fact im aware of. But I like to think of that as a challenge! "How far can I push Sherwood before he slaps me with something?"

You know, Daisy could strap some jet packs and magnet boots onto those bad boys.
