Revolt of the Outer Rim - Out of Character

Well, I can already even smell the sweet aroma of murky, murky victory here. The couple of lame-ass rebels and funky GWA communists can't do no damage to two, superiorly cooler soldiers with extremely cool, militant vibes.

@Elephantom

Agreed, lets go crush some proles. Oorah!

Sorry in advance about Van's... racism? They don't teach you how to have fun at corporate bible-camp.

Van was being racist?

That's understandable, due to the reasons you mentioned. Training must be way too difficult, eh?

Not racist, I guess. He's whatever you call it when you think your super-perfect-genes makes you better than the dirty muggles :V

And yeah I expect so, also the whole 'no contact with normal people' thing.

I'm reading the posts and staying caught up. Got a few intro post ideas, nothing fully fleshed out yet. Might take a while to do mine, my char isn't really a battle field person, most likely gonna have her hanging out on The Invisible Hand but I'm gonna time the post so I don't have to have her sitting around doing nothing while all the cool stuff happens on the world below.

Tl;Dr

I'm not stalling.

Hey, @Wandering Hollow , good stuff so far, but be careful about calling all ships frigates. Arven's mom crashed a transport, not a frigate. The Basilisk is a battlecruiser, which is a bit larger than a frigate. I'll put together the ship tonnage that Archie has agreed to, and post it in here tomorrow. Other than that, I think this is going to be an, interesting partnership.

Here's a copy the conversation about relative ship sizes.

Corvette - 200K to 400K tons

Destroyer - 500K to 700K tons

Frigate - 700K to 800K tons

Cruisers - 800K to 1.2M tons

Light 800K to 900K tons

Medium - 900K to 1M tons

Battle - 1M to 1.2M tons

Battleships - 1.5M to 2.5M tons

Dreadnoughts - >2.5M tons

Carriers - 800K to 1.5M tons, dependent on fighter capacity.

Nothing larger than a battlecruiser is capable of planet fall. Transports and bulk carriers can run anywhere along the size sectrum.

Welp. You got me there. I was wondering what to call certain ships but I moght be able to retcon it to a character quirk.

Sweet. WWII ship classifications.

Why mess with what works? I should have posted those as soon as Archie ok'd them. My bad. I'll have a post up sometime tomorrow, and if we don't get anyone, I'll fill the PD crews with npc's and we can head over to the corvette. The Scimitar is a heavy fighter, just fyi. Send me any ideas you want to drop in and we'll design it together if you want.

Tmrw morning I'll have a second post back up, just ran a gallery for a night and I'm exhausted

Hey @Archie , where should we put long term npc descriptions? Cam, the engineer, will hopefully be around for a while, so I'd like to give folks her personality in case they need to interact with her at some point.

Ooooh. That makes it easy! Kamille is a heavy fighter pilot after all.

Just a question, is it okay for Kamille to seize controls of the shuttle from the co-pilot seat if we get into a sticky situation? Probably while saying, "I have." with a crazy look in her eyes and an equally crazy grin?

(Chuckle) Nice try. Arven would lock her out in a heartbeat. He'll explain the capabilities of the shuttle to her, but unless he gets incapacitated or has to leave the seat for emergency repairs (not impossible, but unlikely) he won't let her have control until she's familiarized with it. The wrong maneuver WILL kill everyone in the troop compartment.

Good point. Kamille has only piloted transports and fighters.

Hey everybody, my first post is up. This is my first time (surprisingly) writing for something as serious as this is. I would appreciate any advice, reviews or critiques you could give.
I love your character so much haha. Very creative. I also just realized you hijacked the position of speaker - I really like the idea of an inspirational speech being left up to a robot that can't really feel or have natural emotions. Great char @Deadkool one of the best I've seen in a while.

Loooooooz character, Deadkool. You should make him come over to the 'dark' side.
Dark side? Isn't it just a darker shade of grey on your side?

*Glances over at the flat grey side.* ...... Nevermind then.

Yeah, good luck getting Hancock to side with someone who has a T in their name. As in briTain.

Actually though, I now need to find a place to shoehorn the robot in.

Ah I'll request an added tab

Well, Despite Hancock's heavy investment in America's political history, he did forget another important person with a T in his name, who's precisely Thomas Jefferson. It looks like Greene gets another major plus point here.

Meanwhile the UCM motivational speech is gonna be like

'Just f**ckin do it. What are we paying you for?'
