I have also heard they are planning to remake either code veronica or RE4 next
Of all the games that in no way needs a remake RE4 is at the top of my list, if they remake that, they can only screw it up. Code Veronica on the other hand is one I’m hoping gets a remake, in terms of which RE games I like least to most, that one’s pretty close to the bottom, maybe right above 5. That one can only be made better.

Agreed. I hated how Wesker died in the RE5

Just for the sake of discussion, while we wait for the others let’s both list each RE game from least favorite to most favorite.

Resident Evil 4
Umbrella Chronicles
Darkside Chronicles
Resident Evil 0
Resident Evil 6
Resident Evil 1
Resident Evil 3
Resident Evil: Rev 1
Resident Evil: Rev 2
Resident Evil 2 original and remake
Resident Evil 5
Resident Evil Code Veronica X

Resident Evil 4
Umbrella Chronicles
Darkside Chronicles
Resident Evil 0
Resident Evil 6
Resident Evil 1
Resident Evil 3
Resident Evil: Rev 1
Resident Evil: Rev 2
Resident Evil 2 original and remake
Resident Evil 5
Resident Evil Code Veronica X
I probably should’ve said to say why in the first post huh? Whoops

(bear in mind I’ve only played both chronicles games, 7 (unbeaten), and 4, I have REmake 2 but I’ve yet to play it. I have however watched them all on YouTube.)
Least
Umbrella chronicles: I hate that game with every fiber of my being, but I will give it credit, the voice acting is perfect, and actually managed to make what’s his name from from RE0 not sound funny
Resident evil 5: I appreciate that they tried to make things more story driven and epic, but it fails massively and honestly, it’s just boring
Resident evil code Veronica: Steve
Resident evil 6: I don’t think it’s as bad as everyone says, I think they realized the story was ridiculous, so they decided to go as far as bonkers as they could with it, and 3/4 of the time I was entertained, although I acknowledge both this and 5 are good games, just not good RE games.
RE0: I like that they give Rebecca a moment in the spotlight (even if it was shared) but besides that the story is kinda meh, and the villain isn’t that interesting, he is funny though. Overall, done better in umbrella chronicles.
Resident evil and REmake: both are good, I like the addition of Liza Trever in REmake, and I always have a soft spot for the acting in the original, although I’d argue the original from a modern perspective isn’t actually a good game.
Resident evil revelations: it’s a great game, but in my last playthrough I ran out of ammo during the fight with that thing on the elevator and the only gun I had with ammo in it couldn’t do enough damage which soured my experience a bit.
resident evil 3 and remake: both really good games, I like that it’s the only one of these games where the main villain is a tyrant. But personally I feel like there isn’t much to RE3 besides nemesis, as unpopular of an opinion as that is.
Resident evil 7: a great game! I love how absolutely terrified I am to go anywhere in the house, but I’ve yet to finish it due to being a wuss
Revelations 2: it kinda bugs me that this has almost nothing to do with the first one as far as I remember, but I digress. Great game, I love the idea of the villain being weskers’ sister, I love that they bring Barry back, although I think barrys’ daughter is kind of annoying. And I love what the ending sets up, can’t wait to see what they do with it.
Resident evil 2: I have a massive soft spot for this game, mostly because of darkside chronicles, I love the characters, the bosses, it was just so memorable. 8/10
Resident evil 4: do I even need to say why this is so high up? The only reason this game isn’t number one is because I don’t like the tank controls, and because Ashley is extremely annoying.
Darkside chronicles: I absolutely love this game, I love what it does with 2 and code veronica story wise (actually managing to make CV look good) I love that it gives backstory to krauzer, I love the boss fights, every level is fun, I just love this game!
Most

Resident Evil 4- I wasn't a big fan of the camera mechanics and controller mechanics. Everything was flip flopped in my experience.
Umbrella Chronicles- Only sat and watched the walkthrough for this one. I can't form a solid opinion on it.
Darkside Chronicles- Same as Umbrella Chronicles, can't form a solid opinion on it.
Resident Evil 0- It's fun, but didn't like the fact of no item boxes.
Resident Evil 6- Fun to play with people
Resident Evil 1- Only watched the walkthrough.
Resident Evil 3- I remember watching my older brother play this early 2000s and I just remember the original glitched. My older brother was in an area with Nemesis far behind/ outside the door he was in when he paused it. Then when he unpaused it, somehow Nemesis was inside the room. No one touched the controller.
Resident Evil: Rev 1- A lot of fun playing Raid Mode. Was just currently playing that with my older brother. The storyline was good. I just wasn't expecting 12 chapters.
Resident Evil: Rev 2- Is a lot of fun. It was really cool to see a reaction between Claire and Moira.
Resident Evil 2 original and remake- This is one of my favorites. Although I couldn't play it for more than a half hour to an hour. I loved the fact with the puzzles and the uncertainty that happens when dealing with Mr. X
Resident Evil 5- I am partial to this one because it is the first Resident Evil I have ever played before going back and playing the rest or watching the walkthroughs to catch up on the storyline. It is what sparked my interest in the series.
Resident Evil Code Veronica X- The storyline was spot on for Code Veronica, with a few minor inconveniences. I was really happy with the reunion of Chris and Claire.

I wish there was another game with Chris and Claire together.

Really RE4 is your least favorite?
I was expecting it to be 6 or something, the camera I agree is really hard to get used to, but most of it I thought was really dang good, that’s the one everybody says is there favorite, the only thing that beats it for me is Darkside chronicles because it’s my baby, you need to play Darkside chronicles, it is one of the most underrated Games ever and it’s amazing, also you forgot to mention 7

I'll try to find it in the Xbox store. Or was it not carried over? I couldn't even get past the first set of enemies if RE4... I will probably give it another shot when I buy it again, but it may be a bit. I get paid tomorrow thankfully though. So I may get a new game tomorrow.

The first time I played RE4 I gave up at the part where you have to survive with Carlito, it gets easier to control trust me

I'll give it a shot later.
With that first group of enemies, I found the best plan is to go to the house on the left that plays a cutscene when you enter it, go upstairs and grab the stuff up there, then exit the building via the window upstairs and make your way to the house across from it, if I remember right it’s the only house you can go in on that side, make your way to the back room of the house and whenever someone opens the door blast them away, I’m pretty sure the shot gun is in the upstairs of the first house, but it’s been awhile, just do that until you win

I'll check it out when I get the game again. By the way, in the game, I got the dates wrong. It isn't August/September, that's RE 2 and 3. It's end of July where RE 0 and 1 happen

If you need a visual of what I’m talking about, just look up SGBs playthrough, I pretty much just copied them
