Fantasy Red Hood Society

This was pathetic, she was actually discussing the matter with Honus and though she was growing angrier it wasn't like she couldn't understand his feelings – she understood them well and even felt the same way as him...that's why she was so mad; she doesn't want to end up like him. "Some like the change and others don't. As far as I can tell, he hates what he's become.", she said in a moment of clarity her brother was one of those who enjoyed the power the curse gave them – and he became a monster.

The Alpha's roar shook the surrounding trees, leaves falling onto the forest floor as birds retreated from the area. Honus mentioned getting back out to fight the curse with the remaining Hoods. Syl's jaw would tense and her teeth would grind together as he insulted her as if she were a child. "Oh shut up, old man and let's go.", she was willing to cooperate with him as long as it was beneficial to the Hoods. At least Honus was willing to act, unlike his pathetic son who decides to sit around with both thumbs up his ass waiting for everything to blow-over.

"Red, Honus and I are going to head to the battlefield, you ready for some action?"

Asher liked the blood from his wound, the fray of the battle dying down. He had a shallow cut on his side, one that would've been fatal if his sister was not so weak as to let him live. But the fight wore on, the pitiful Hoods falling dead at the hands of the divine creatures that the lycans were. They tore through the idiotic and foolish Hoods, and the mighty alpha threw his boulders ferociously at the fiends. The Hoods were so close to breaking, but it all died down with the alpha fighting only the strongest of the Hoods. Asher managed to realize his situation, that even with the control of the roar, he was more controlled to hunt his sister, and end the feud by her turning or by her death.

Out of sight, Asher departed from the scene, driven mad by the scent of his sister's clothes. it made him drool in a frenzy, the overpowering scent of her fear. He disappeared from the sounds of fighting, following intently on the trail. He sometimes stopped to lick his wounds, the gash bothering him ever so slightly. He made his way on the trail, the scent slowly growing stronger as he approached the apex of it. He overlooked the hut, and the two figures just outside of it. Immediately he saw his sister, the foolish Hood who dared not understand the true power he had. The male licked his teeth, and smiled. Surely this would be so easy. It was the old man that saved her pitiful life, and the one named Syl.

But he could've killed them right then and there, but he smelled something else too. A third scent, a wolf too. It was in the house, and he knew this because his scent was so good. The male trotted away from the duo, and entered the house's back door. He stumbled in the place, hating the idiotic human way of living. This was not the way they should live. It was a coward's life. But as he made his way to the front, he saw a collapsed shape, a human shape. He growled lowly at it, approaching the creature.

Draven roared again and sped up even more. Unleashing all of his pent up rage and thirst for blood. The Hunter managed to catch him here and there with the scythe but overall he kept up with each blow. Exchanging a few of his own as well. Trees and any barriers around them stood no chance. His claws tore through them with the slightest of ease. "What do you have left to fight for Hoods? All of your commanders are dead or under my control!"

I roared loudly at the pain, though fought on, " I don't fight them! I fight for her! A little girl that you guys slaughtered for no reason!" " I yelled out loudly, and charged shoulder first into his stomach, dodging a hit. Twisting as hard as I can, I unleashed a horizontal slash to try and slice the Alpha's abdomen.

Wiping tears and snot from his face Marius turned to face the sudden growl in his house. Eying a new wolf, one he had never seen before up and down. It had odd ash colored fur. He hadn't seen something like that in a while. "Who are you and what do you want with me?" He replied in a low tone. Far too exhausted to be threatening. "If you're looking to steal some food or medicine be my guest. And if you're here to kill...I supposed I can't stop you from that either." He sniffled and wiped his face yet again.
"I didn't think another wolf would be able to break free or resist the Alpha out there. Why come here though?"

Asher quit his growling as he saw the pathetic excuse for a wolf in front of him. What weak sort of wolf tears up at the sight of the alpha's voice? "You are interesting," he said somewhat sympathetically, "Your scent, I recognize it. Why do you cry so hard, brother? Is the alpha's call not great? He brings us hope once more to end this war, to defeat the Hoods and return peace to our kind." Asher of course lied to the beast, knowing that the war's end meant the expansion of their kind.

"Brother," he said again, padding a tad closer to him. He eyed him up and down, seeing how terrible he looked. "or are you hiding from those Hoods outside? Tell me, what is your name?"

He roared with rage as the scythe cut open his abdomen. This gash was larger than the others he had landed, quite a lucky shot. "There will be many more deaths to come! I will slaughter and turn every human in my path until the wolves reign supreme!!! I will take back MY world from you scum!" He let loose a deafening roar and charged for not only the hood attacking him, but any others foolish enough to be nearby.

"I do not cry because of the call of the Alpha or from resisting it. I cry for other reasons, too many to name." He swallowed and turned around so he was facing the wolf. "I do not believe that this...thing will bring about any peace. Peace does not involve slaughtering the others." He shifted uncomfortably at this wolf's words. "And. My name is Marius. I'm not hiding from the Hoods outside here. I happen to own this house and am resting and regaining my strength here. There was a witch who once owned it but she left it in my care."

I was hit by the charge and was taken off guard. The wind was knocked out of me, and if it was for the tendrils on the scythe sticking to my hand, my weapon would have fell onto the ground. I soon realized that breathing was not only hard from the initial impact, but two ribs were also cracked.

Taking back control of the situation, I pulled out a curved dagger and it down into his back as hard as I could. "Why is it that every race wants to be the king, instead of living in harmony! All of these needless deaths on both sides! Innocents killed! Enough is enough! " I yelled out as loud as I could.

Lucius had waited patiently. He wasnt supposed to intervene as he was told. He didnt agree with it but he understood honor. As he watched the two battle he smiled. He felt that the Alpha would loose. But all hope of that was squashed whej the Alpha reached full strength. Lucius readied his spear and he looked to the Alpha prepared for a foght. Once the Alpha began to charge his opponent he smiled, but wait, something was off. The Alpha was targetting more than just the opponent. It was targetting him and the others. Lucius bit his lip and quickly thought of what to do. He dashed to the side to avoid the charge. Almost being caught by it. As he slid on his knees he spun with his spear extended. His spear catching part of the Alphas flesh and he quickly got to his feet. "Not all the commanders are dead! You foolish beast! You have yet one left to beat!" Lucius said in anger. The Alpha had been given the fair fight he asked for then tried a dirty trick like that. The Alpha deserved no more mercy and Lucius gritted his teeth. As he thought of how he would manage to best this beast. Even for a experienced hood who specialized in rare and large beasts this would be tough. His division was skilled but these beasts were only seen rarely, and usually it took a group of at least four hoods at Lucius's level to best one. Lucius had never fought a Alpha, but he had fought other beasts of the same caliber. Still that was when he had his team. A highly skilled team that he trained with akd could work well with. This surely would be difficult. But he had to do it. He had to fond what he was looking for, and this Alpha was in his way.

As if on cue, the white cat padded from the trees right up to Syl, blinking a few times. She smelled wolf... If they were going to go, they should head off soon. Her tail flicked side to side, as Red scanned their surroundings.. I'm already there. She chuckled. Mostly, at least. Syl, I will ask that you stay back just a tad... I'd like to have some fun.

Red at the battlefield meanwhile, still stood at the edge of the fight, eyes tracing every movement of the two combatants. She couldn't remember exactly the last time she'd fought an alpha but it had been a fun time. Going all out on anything was a fun time, come to think of it. And these two- the alpha and the Hood- were really going at it. Under the hood of her robes, she smirked. In a blur of darkness, Red lunged between the two, whacking her hand up to meet the dagger-wielding Hood's, hard enough to send it flying out of his grasp.

So you're the one stealing my breakfast. Don't you know? Being king feels so good, Her voice echoes to the Hood. He would be able to catch a glimpse of luminous blue eyes, then Red jumped out of the way of the two high into the air. With this jump, she'd pivoted so now she faced the alpha as she hung mid-air. A strange, ancient energy grew around her. Let's cause a little chaos, shall we? Red asked herself with a grin.

At once he recognized the weak wolf as Marius. As the male did not surely remember, they did indeed have history. "Ah yes, you were once part of the same pack I was," he said, "You took a liking to a certain fae, Lexi did you not? She was your lover once. I remember it well. I was there for her funeral, shed tears at the terrible injustice the Hoods did." Asher seemed genuine in his tone, as he felt bad that his own kind had such dismay for the cause. "Can you name a war in any culture, Marius, where the side that never once fought back won? Pacifism is suicide for our kind. Being cold in your heart to our alpha and our enemy, you condemn all to die."

The male approached him in his lycan form, looking closely into Marius'. "You're resting here, are you not? You are my very kind, a weak wolf, but one that could be very strong if he is willing to accept the task. Tell me, Marius, tell me your reasons."

Honus led the way back to the distant fight. He was already quite tired, and was not entirely sure he wanted to return to the carnage, but his men needed him. He fought through the lingering pain, making his way to the fight. He heard the incessant clamor of the battle, and after the distant walk, saw the scene of pure death. Scores of dead littered the field, some Hoods having turned and killed. In the midst of all this, the reject Hoods managed to remain, fighting the lead alpha of the pack. But Honus saw how they fought, how they interacted with the beast and absurdly attempted to defeat him. They landed grazes on him, but nothing more. The alpha too seemed rather reserved, not hitting the Hoods very much. But the castle, instead, had beem destroyed somewhat. The roof of the commanding office had collapsed on itself, the shingles having fallen into a pile of grey bricks beside it. Several boulders littered the fields that had not been before, and trees too.

Honus knew that his presence could be made quite obvious. Little did he know, the other commanders were killed, and only he remained as an officer of any sort. "Syl, get me my bow," the male said, pointing to the field with a cold sense of diversion. It was quite clear he was not processing the total death of it all.

"Want to be king?!" Draven laughed loudly. "I am king! The only king of this world and you will all bow to me or die!" Loud roar bursting from he again he tossed and clawed at the Hood on his back. The pain from the dagger dug into his flesh dulled by his blind fury. He lashed out at anything and everything nearby. Trees, walls, Hoods, his own wolves. Nothing was spared.

"I miss her so very much. She was the one who let me into the pack and taught me everything I know. Accepted me as I was" He took in a deep breath to suppress the tears. "If I can keep avoiding the battles I can survive. It's worked so far...for the most part." He gulped. Reaching up to tuck in the pups who had finally cried themselves to sleep.
"And yes, I am resting here. Ackara and I came here seeking refuge and help with the pups...which ended in their birth. Then, Ackara left to help a Hood but fell prey to the Alpha's call. This is the sixth time I've lost some one I care about or something close to me. Every time I get attached. It's like a curse."

The chaos at this point was almost impossible to keep track of, a supposed commander who joined the fray, some floating woman who seemed pissed off that I stole her souls, and now an a extremely pissed off Alpha was beginning to strike at everything. Thankfully in his blind rage, it made it easy to see his telegraphed moves to back away. Though sadly for the hoods and wolves in the area, they were quickly swept away. Trees seemingly vanished as well, as they soon ended up falling around us. Waiting for my moment to strike I decided, to taunt the Alpha, "You're nothing but a tyrant who is going to die!" I roared out, hoping to change his aggro towards me. With everyone dying, their souls are being siphoned into the lady only strengthening her.

Red zipped out of the way of the berserk Alpha and the scythe kid (maybe not a kid to humans but who wasn't to an eras-old demon?), almost laughing as power filled her. The days of carnage, of death, of contract-less chaos, have returned, much to the demon's delight. She forgot how fun the plight of the light was, how venomously she'd worked to extinguish it. She'd thank the scythe Hood later for his sacrifices.

With a hiss of smoke, Red flickered out of view, turning invisible for the moment while she stayed poised in the sky.

The Alpha was more than angry... he was losing his control in the fight. Not losing the fight- no, no, no. He was destroying the fight, literally leveling the playing field. Her reservoirs of power surged with the contractless, raw energy of the souls and her excitement. But it all went into a black hole. Rational thought closed as the became consumed with consuming, striking up a harsh cackling from her spot in the sky. She wondered if Syl could feel it. She hoped Syl felt it. Like a dam bursting, power would travel to the Hood as well, a boundless confidence that was reckless in a battle when abused without skill. It was the energy that decided the rise and fall of kingdoms, of realms, of worlds.

Red blinked and she saw the world around her consumed in blood and fire and darkness. The sun was blotted by red blood-mist thrown up in an eons-old fray and screeches of the dead and dying echoed endlessly. This was a world where the currents of blood ran with power bestowed by the ancient and arcane, a war that echoed in the heavens between ageless entities.

All this consumed Red in a single moment and imploded into the chasm of her hunger, then rebounded in a wave of energy that rolled over the battlefield like a slow explosion. And it was targeted at one thing:

The hum-

STOP!

The haze cleared, the power...redirected... the target changed. The hounds. The hounds. Not the humans. The humans meant Syl. Meant what her brother cherished. Meant the deceitful maggots but... they were maggots she vowed to aid...

So the power shifted and rolled and then Red hoped Syl felt something different: The tear of Red's very being mending. The return from the horror show. The forgiveness... Red did what she told Syl to do regarding her own brother: She let it go.

A number of the lesser hounds would whimper suddenly and collapse where they stood. It was strong enough that the Alpha would've felt it, affected or not by the crashing wave. Maybe the odd soul-stealing human would have felt it too. With this came the stench of blood and death.

Red smiled beneath the hood down at Syl the way an adoptive guardian would: not much of a deep connection, but one of approval and understanding.
Go get 'em, Syl. Red blinked. Had she ever called the Hood by that nickname before? ...Hadn't it always been Aldrich or Sylvia or... just... much more formal?

Ackara awoke with a sharp yelp. Her head was throbbing and the world was dark. She couldn't tell what was happening, but all she could sense was cold as her eyes struggled to adjust. She'd been out cold for quite some time, leaving everyone in the dark about her. "M-MARR?" She cried out, feeling the area around her. The first thing that her hand touched was wood. "Marius?" She asked softly, rubbing her eyes to try and make the black disappear.

Everything was chaotic. Some man who stupidly spoke to the Alpha while he attempted to take on the Alpha alone was having a rather difficult tine fighting it until Lucius and some flying woman came. Lucius shook his head, if the three of them couldnt slay the Alpha now then all would be lost. The Alpha soon burst into rage and swept at everything around it. Lucius was beginning to stand up when he noticed the sudden rage. He had to think quickly. Had to time things perfectly.'a claw coming down over him as he rolled to the side, quickly another coming for his head in a side slash, ducking low, the tip of his helmet being caught by the attack. It being torn from his head and flund through the air. Lucius's long brown hair and emerald green eyes being exposed to the air and he gritted his teeth. Blood streaming down his forehead from a rather deep gash as he rose to his feet. He had gotten out of range of the attacks and he backed away just to make sure. The helmet when being torn off of him had smashed his skull and caused the wound. The blood went down his nose and around his eyes and he shook his head slightly. It wasnt a fatal wound, but damn did it hurt. Lucius readied himself for what was to come. Pushing his hair out of his face, it stayed back due to being damp with blood. Looking to his two 'companions' Inguess you could call and he smiled. The helmet being iff his head had taken a good portion of the weight of the armor away. He cracked his neck and turned his gaze back to the Alpha

They came to the clearing of the battlefield, it was bloodier and more cluttered than whens he had left it. The castle sustained some damage, specifically the commanders' posts "Damn these mutts..." Syl would say through clenched teeth. Honus ordered her to retrieve his bow, her eyes would scan the field until they fell upon Honus' weapon. There was so much carnage but it wasn't an unfamiliar sight to Hoods - this was the price they paid to keep their world safe from these monsters. Syl dashed for the bow, hoping whatever had occupied the Alpha's brood would continue to do so. The woman promptly returned to Honus with bow in hand as well as a handful of bloodied unscathed arrows.

Sylvia would feel a surge of power, it was cold and dark, and it seemed to siphon towards the figure she recognized as Red. Her demon friend seemed...different -- she was filled with rage she was succumbing to the power that siphoned to her. Sylvia would fall to one knee, she felt as if her very life was being pulled towards Red and just as she felt she was about to collapse, she would regain her strength suddenly. Her eyes moving from the ground to Red once more as the hounds that surrounded her and the other men fighting the Alpha.

Red would speak to her and Syl would have a devilish smirk on her face - this was going to be fun. Sylvia drew her blades and twirled them as she stood beside Honus. "Are we going after the Alpha then?" She would face the battle that was occurring before them. There were five total on the field: the boy with the scythe, the falcon-armored man, Red, Syl, and their only commander Honus; she awaited Honus' next order.

Perhaps now Asher recognized how vulnerable the wolf had become. "Poor you," he said rather flatly, "for you do not understand your own contradiction. Marius, by leaving yourself out of this fight, this conflict, you harm the ones you love. By failing to put yourself sternly opposing the enemy, you let them do as they wish to your friends, you family. Would you let them harm your children?" He of course had not seen the conflict that had happened earlier, and the kids each had a small burn mark on their heads. "You must know that, if you had any love for your dead friends and family, would they want to be forgotten, or would their cause be carried on? Taking lives is never easy, Marius, but it must be done. And you can only deny it for so long, and before you know it, they kill you and the war goes on."

Honus held the bow lightly, feeling a bit at home by its weight. it would be a quiet shot, one that couldn't possibly fell the beast, as it was never that simple. But his comrades were easily close to getting their asses chewed. Honus remembered back to the older stories, about how the swordsman and the archer are two different beings. The archer, as the swordsman thinks, is a coward that shoots only because he cannot fight. The archer, of course, is smarter and knows that what he lacks in strength he makes up in accuracy and speed. And thus, who falls first?

Honus leaned back, the drawstring pulling back. He notched his arrow carefully, feeling the feather tip on his worn finger. He eyed the gigantic dog in the distance, knowing his target was in range. The male closed his eye, and let loose. If he had done it correctly, his arrow would hit his beast right where he wanted it to: its eye.

"AAAAAHHRRRAAAAAA!" Draven screamed in pain as an arrow from somewhere off into the field dug into his eye. "You pathetic bastards! You're going to regret ever being born into this world!" A concussive roar burst from him. Under the silver fur on his bicep, black markings began to glow. Emanating a dark mist around the Alpha. "Scum humans and damned demons. You will all die! Die die die!" He roared again. Charging in the direction of the fired arrow. Slamming himself against all manners of trees and walls to rid himself of the other stuck to his back. His strength growing as he dangerously channeled the strength the demon Ragnarok the demon had given him.
