Other Random question of the day

Random question of the day:

Do you ever get the feeling that some movies/games/TV shows make hated characters annoying for the sole purpose of making them people's punching bags?
Kinda sorta but then again i'm one those people who find hated characters enjoyable to watch them lose moment the protagonist beats them plus not all hated characters succeed in making people hate them for the sole purpose of being a punching bag case in point katsuki bakugo(mha),kokichi ouma (danganronpa),nagito komaeda (danganronpa),loki (marvel) least to me i don't find them hated enough for me to make them my punching bags and hirokoshi creator of MHA wanted kacchan to be hated yet he only made a really good antagonist and rival for izuku that has placed first in shonun jumps popularity poll for MHA more than once so to me not every hated character is made annoying for the puprose to be a punching bag unless you count ganondorf in the LOZ games.

and as for today's question no i do not believe in reincarnation as i'm a christian and either believe in going to heaven or going to hell (and knowing me i'd be going to hell lol)

Not sure if I asked this one before, but...

Random question of the day:

Do you believe in reincarnation?
Not really, no. Not a very spiritual person.

But if you think about it, nothing is ever created or destroyed, it merely changes form.

So maybe that's what happens when we die? Our...life energy, I guess, simply changes form.

Sorry I'm rambling, I suppose

Random question of the day:

What are a few ways you get inspired to write stories or roleplays?
Watching movies. creating a character in a video game. getting inspired by art on Pinterest. rehashing old ideas into something new. Reading a book or short story and thinking of a character i'd make to play that out "my way". Dreams. My own artwork

Mostly by going over the previous posts, character sheets or whatever was the original source of hype or inspiration for the roleplay, setting or character concept again. Occasionally, just chatter with the partner can help too. That being said I try not to rely on inspiration too much, as it can spiral into bad writing habits (the more one relies on being in the mood to do something that takes the effort, the harder it becomes to actually get in that mood, whereas building good steady habits of doing it helps the task appear and become easier, and thus it also becomes easier to get in the mood), instead I mostly break down the problem into smaller chunks, to help get more concrete answers as to what I want in the post, as well as try to visualize the scene and how the character might act in it. I take a more systematic approach and thinking of the problem in those smaller, narrower parts helps come up with ideas too.

Not that I have a lot of issues coming up with ideas to begin with though. In the first place my biggest reason for roleplaying is as an outlet for my creativity after all, to use it and share what I make.

As for the question, bouncing ideas off people is an easy way for me to get inspired to actually write.

I already have, and it's about gaming.

But I would like to make a channel about music. Whenever I learn to play decently enough to be not afraid to show what I play :)

Random question of the day:

If you had your own YouTube channel, what would it be about?
I really don't know, tbh. I don't think i could regularly deliver anything consistently enough to make a channel out of something. I've never given it a thought... which is probably indicative of why I'd never do it in the first place. lol

Largely gaming. However, other avenues I’d strongly consider are skits and story narrations.

I've had ideas for two:

First would be a gaming channel specifically focused on lesser-known games, giving them the attention they deserve.

Second would be an educational channel about whatever random BS I'm interested in at the moment. Will my next video be about Arthur Nobel, cicadas, or how toilets work? Who knows!

Random question of the day:

If you had your own YouTube channel, what would it be about?
Making videos consistently is hard but I'd love to have a channel where I post miscellaneous content depending on my mood. Art, discussion, gaming... I usually find those kinds of channels come off way too pretentious so I feel like I could fill a niche for amateur content.

Random question of the day:

What's your hometown like?
If I had to sum up my hometown in one word, it would be: Boring.

But to expound on that, it's hot for the majority of the year. Summer starts early and ends late. Sometimes our winters arent even all that cold. You like sand? Cause we got lots of it! And not the fun, beach kind, either. Entertainment? What's that? Unless eating at a restaurant and /or drinking at a bar is your mainstay of entertainment, we dont have a lot else to do. And even within those margins, it's STILL a lot of the same. We have like four malls, though two of them arent really indoor malls are are just a big ass shopping district under the nomenclature of being a mall. Which sucks because once again, IT'S HOT OUTSIDE! Despite all these shopping hubs, the stores are pretty boring. If you have a style that is anything but boring and trendy, forget about it. Same monogamous style across the board. We have like maybe 5 comic book stores throughout the whole city. I know, I've been to them all while trying to find my brand of comics locally. No dice here. Speaking of dice. We have literally TWO, that's right TWO gaming stores! One of which is mostly just pokemon and magic the gathering cards. So when it came to my old hobby of miniature painting, I had one outlet. We occasionally try to mimic cool events like a comic-con, like bigger and better cities fo. But out rendition is like the dollar tree version of said event. It's always very underproduced and everyone here is a cheap-ass so no one wants to spend money, so as a result no one really comes here with anything worth buying (or they stop coming altogether). The only side of town that has anything "nice" is the West Side, cause that's where all the ritch people live. But it's very yuppy, and reeks of country club and pretentiousness.

Oh, and I forgot to mention our notoriously low wages. While other places are commonly starting out at AT LEAST $8.50 for minimum pay, my city seems loves to start everyone off at the state minimum of $7.50 an hour. I've been working since I was 16. I'm now 38. And no matter where I go when i have to start at a new job, it's always the same shit. Minimum fucking wage. And it isn't just me, a whole lotta ppl I know have to deal with the same thing.

I fucking hate it here. I've tried to leave on multiple occasions, but haven't been able to manage it. Always have. I guess the one good thing about my hometown is that because it's so boring, it's also a very safe place live. meh.

I love in a small city (approx. 20,000 people) in the foothills of the Ozark mountains. Rolling hills covered in forest stretch as far as the eye can see, and on clear days you can make out individual trees on hills miles away. The wind never seems to stop blowing. The summers get just hot enough to be inconvenient, and the winters get just cold enough to be inconvenient.

Once upon a time the city was booming off of coal mine money, but that all ended when mines dried up well before I was born. The two major highways that run through town still provide enough commerce to keep the town up and running, but they also cause a lot of shady stuff to pass through town and probably contribute to our drug problem. We somehow have a tourism department; it consists of one person. We don't have a whole lot to do: a casino, a couple bars, a couple parks, and a library.

A place you could drive right through and not even know you are there. I am thankfully not there anymore. Went back last year and didn't miss much. But a more accurate description. Boring and useless.

It's a very big city. Lots of people everywhere, busy traffic. But it's also beautiful, has many historical buildings which I enjoy looking at.
