Other Random question of the day

I'm neutral on them. They exist, is all I can say.
I don't think I even watched any of them.

A lot of the time, I wish they'd stop rebooting stuff and just made their own thing. Especially when the end result is considerably worse than the original.

Random question of the day:

What are your views on all the CGI reboots of classic cartoon shows from the past that have come out in recent years?
Kind of sick of it. I feel bad for this generation as it seems they're getting very little in the way of original and iconic media.

Yuck.
Seems like they can't come up with anything original nowadays. I'm just glad I grew up in the time where cartoons weren't the crap they are today.

I can't say much about cartoons. But I AM tired of all the rebooted movies that keep coming out. But you need to understand what is happening in the entertainment industry, and why reboots are so common now. Essentially, people have become exceedingly shallow with their interests. Or rather, they have the attention span of a ferret. Depth and content go over the heads of the masses, and they dont want to think. Instead, the industry had become a shoveling down the throat of the same regurgitated tropes in a different wrapping. Rebooting old series and movies cuts out all the work of trying out an idea that might utterly fail. They bank on the nostalgia, because they KNOW that there is already an interest group for it. Albeit the interest group might be utterly disappointed when they see the reboot. but they got you to take a look at it in the first place.

Essentially, what I'm trying to say is that the market caters to what people have shown that they will buy. And like the chattel of consumers that we are, we still wind up buying into the system that has developed. So if you dont like what you see.... stop watching. As long as you keep the channel on, they'll keep showing more of the same.

Let me think, no.
It seems to be the norm, as far as Hollywood is concerned to create characters couples and have them go through more unnecessary drama than it's worth then repeat the cycle. Implode their relationship, etc. So no. Definitely not anywhere.

I don't think i have any fictional couples i look up to as relationship goals given sterotypical couples in films have to go through a lot of unecessary drama just to keep the series entertaining plus even then if i did have one the only one i can think of is Romeo and Juliet and even then i don't think sacrificing yourself for the sake of love is exactly a good goal to begin with including if there was a better option of just running away to a new country and starting a family with a new identity.

There've been a couple times. One of the more memorable ones was the time I wrote a text that was like 80% swear words on an entrance exam.

Random question of the day:

Have you ever had those moments in your life where you just did not give a crap and did or say something that got you in trouble?
I had a 15-year streak of being a "Gives no fucks" party girl. Landed me in county jail on five different occasions for various charges.

Do you feel that some movie/TV show/video game endings are made for the sole reason of pissing people off?
I feel like the ending to the original Barderlands video game was made to purposely let you down and be like... "Oi! Where's the Vault loot?!"

Yes and no. On one hand, I would say some movies / TV shows are deliberately designed to piss people off. However, I wouldn't say this is their sole reason to exist. They exist to make money - pissing people off so that they talk a lot about it and go hate-watch the movie or watch just to keep up with the conversation online is by all appearances not such an uncommon marketing plan, but ultimately it remains a means to an end.

Another thing to add is the trend of "subverting expectations". While this one isn't intended to piss people off (in concept) that is a natural consequence of it being done poorly, and considering the way it is just kind of slapped into things, either some people are very much unaware of that fact or they don't care.

Yes, when they end on a cliffhanger and season two is nowhere in sight for the next few years. 🙃

didnt the creator or one of the producers or something die? I thought that was the main reason the show just kind of stopped

depends on the movie/TV show or Video game for me if it's a cliffhanger that last for years on end then yes (like the demon slayer game that just came out on the switch I already finished the gameplay and want more of it that follows season 2)

Not sure if I asked this one before, but...

Have you ever been bullied when you were younger? If so, have you ever fought back against your bully?

Yes and yes. There is that legend passed down through generations how I hit my bully with a chair and then he stopped. No one was injured in the end, don't worry. It wasn't on the head.
I also got into fist fights with some others. I did not enjoy school at all when I was around 13-14. 🙃 Bullying stopped at the final years though, so it was okay in the end.

I've been bullied but i've never physically fought back ya i'm admitting it i'm a wuss when it came to standing up for myself but also ignoring bullies also works tho i'll admit using the S word was not my brightest idea but it got a teacher to recognize that i was being bullied soo i guess whatever works to get someone to realize your being bullied tho probably don't use the S word to get a teachers attention....def. don't use that word better to just tell them that your being bullied and that it's getting under your skin and point out the aggressors. Plus it' s just better to ignore your bullies then make them aware there getting under your skinthe only reason they are bullying you is cause there self-esteem is lower than yours and they want to see you suffer they get a kick out of reactions so you ignore them they'll grow bored (and honestly i think that's the better way of fighting back vs getting physical and risking being put in detention with the bully) so either ignore, tell a teacher or principal i'd leave getting physical as a last resort if all three of these things don't work.

tho my bullying ended sometime in highschool but clearly i turned out fine went to college got my AA in sience and have a nice paying job as a dietary aide at a nursing home albeit not in my field i graduated from in college but where i live not many jobs for a conservationist so i got to work with what i can find. I'm not sure what came of my bullies i know one is back and has a vape shop but i don't know about the other and don't care to know about his whereabouts plus one is my cousin (the second one that i don't know where he's at) so i really don't care where he be at nowadays so long as he's not in my life and doesn't reach out to me.

When I was really young, like fourth grade or something? I had this bully who honestly was practically a mean girl bully. You know that stereotype. Well, she picked on me constantly about my severe dizzy spells that were so severe they laid me flat out, every time I had them in PE class. Imagine a puppet with its strings suddenly cut, that was me when I was younger, doing laps and then just suddenly having a dizzy spell. This bully would also get me into trouble for things I didn't do, like talking during class and since I was insecure, I never stood up for myself. My friend had to do it for me. Hell, this bully literally followed me into the restroom and pushed me around. And then the universe decided to have a grand old laugh, a chuckle if you will.

Because I developed a dizzy spell in. that. Moment. It was one of those moments where things felt, at once, too slow and too fast. I swayed, momentum carrying me for just a moment. And then I dropped. To the two on the outside, it was probably really fast. But to me, everything had gone much too slowly. The bully's laugh was all echoey and I didn't even feel the pain when I hit the ground. I was struggling to get up but I had no control over my muscles.

Honestly, what was even more shameful about the moment, was how the bully's lackey hadn't even left the restroom yet, and was just staring at me as I struggled to get up. Even after the bully left, she didn't even bother to help me. I'm still salty, ngl.
