Active [Quang – Sienna Estate] Property for my Property - Part 2: Let me iiiiin!

This RP is part of the Isekai Hell setting. It is a direct continuation of What's on Sale and will likely be followed up by a continuation of its own. It is currently limitedly open to be joined, as there would need to be a very good/working narrative reason for new characters to arrive and the group is already growing fairly large. Let me know if you're highly interested and we'll see if we can work something out.

What to expect out of character:
This part is meant to be the second part to a series (aiming for 40 to 60 days per part) with the goal of Saoirse obtaining the Estate she'd obtained (or needs to further obtain) through Wealth D (or higher depending on when gradings take place). Round-turning/narrative posts are planned every Wednesday and Sunday morning or afternoon (UTC+1), so post before then or risk being skipped.

The RP will focus on exploration and character interactions. Some combat might happen. Effectiveness system rules will be used in its 'light' version. Some dice rolls might be used to spice things up with randomness. Multiple posts for going and forth between PC's in-between narration rounds are allowed.

What to expect in character:
The RP takes place on the outskirts of [Quang], capital of the West Empire with a high emphasis on slavery and property exploration.

Saoirse Desrosiers, a bottom-rung member of the Desrosiers family of Haregon/Rabbitfolk slavers, has managed to get her paws on a supposedly 'cursed/monster-infested' estate. Now it's up to her and her trusty crew slaves to explore the mansion. The contract states that, to make it fully hers, she must figure out and resolve its 'deepest mysterious', whatever that might mean. For now, however, she'd probably need to figure out how to get in...

When joining, please let me know the following things in your first post:
1 ) Any specific achievements/goals your character would have within the overall goal of the RP, such as trying to increase standing with a certain faction or obtaining a certain item/asset. So long as it doesn't diverge too much, I'll see what I can do to include it.
2 ) Any point boosters the character might have. (Attentive Student, Mentor, Devour, Narrative Booster, etc.).
3 ) Any [Wanted] or criminal titles your character might have. (Note, some city or guild-related settings will make entry for criminals considerably more difficult and would need discussion pre-joining.)
4 ) Any Buddy Skills, Masterwork Skills or Complex Assets your character might have.

Tag and character goal:
Saoirse Desrosiers Elvario Elvario – Explore her most recently bought real estate... or rather... figure out how to even get in.
Ryuuji Kamimura TheTimePiece TheTimePiece – Help Saoirse.
Cow Femboy Femboy – Help Saoirse. | Get trained.
Diego Argento Megilagor Megilagor – Help Saoirse. | See if he can learn to re-apply and/or re-learn to use his past SCP knowledge and skills in this world.
Fenrir Hellsing Maxxob Maxxob – Help Saoirse. | Prove that butlers are better servants than maids.
Teti Karcen Karcen – Help Saoirse. | Prove that maids are better servants than butlers.

OOC note: This takes place only a bit after meeting back up with Saoirse at Quang's city gates and travelling further to its outskirts to the estate that Saoirse bought, the Sienna Estate. As a result, feel free to describe some of the reactions/things said based on what they'd ran into at the end of that RP. In other words, your opening posts may bridge the travelling bit from the past RP into the arrival bit of this one.

Saoirse Desrosiers

Meeting back up with her slaves had likely not been ideal, seeing how she'd be in blood and vomit-covered clothing, some of which torn and covered in dirt on op of that. The results of her going beast-mode against the cow. That said, she felt no need to explain herself. Melia had looked at her with clear concern, but was wise enough not to speak up. Jastira had just looked at her in confusion.

Whether or not any of her other slaves decided to speak up would be up to them. The Cow would've found herself coming back to conscious with the bunny seated atop of her. Her finger would've been healed back on by Ryuuji, as Saoirse would've requested the most beastial fight-signs to be healed and hidden before the rest would arrive. That include her action of nearly biting the Cow's finger off. Saoirse had no need for others to know just how feral she'd gotten. That said, Cow's other wounds, like a broken nose and bruised neck, would still be there. She'd yet to earn back getting those healed.

She'd remain fairly silent during the trip, contemplating her life's choices, perhaps, though upon arrival at the estate she'd sigh. “Gods... I hope this place has a bath.” She sighed, she really, really wanted one. She could probably get her maid or butler to scrub her a well.

Upon arriving at the estate, she headed for what seemed to be the 'main' door. “This looks even more promising than I thought.” She stated. From where there were, there was some sort of auxiliary building to their right. In front of them was a tall, white-brick wall. Only the roof of what seemed to be a three-story (including ground floor) building could be seen towering above it. Some sort of clock-tower being its fourth-flour and most notable feature. I was clear that this estate was huge.

In front of the auxiliary building were some benches and a small fountain, although it seemed like the magic that might've once kept it running had long ran out. The water in it smelled like it'd been stale for a long while, for those with more sensitive noses. Near it, oddly enough, were what seemed to be three separate water-pumps for pumping up ground-water, which were attached to some barrels... Those with relevant skills might recognise them as a primitive type of washing 'machines' in which one would thrown dirty laundry, add water and soap, then 'churn' out the filth. Mostly use for bedding, bedsheets and other types of heavy-duty laundry. In particular, it was used for laundry with stains and filth that one couldn't easily scrub off the normal/usual way. Why there were three of them out here as another question.

That said, as Saoirse stuck the key into the gate... It just bounced off. Some sort of magical barrier prevented her from even inserting the key. Yet, well, the key also seemed like it might not have even fitted to begin with. “Really..?” She grumbled. That was a bad start. She sighed, handing the key to Fenrir, who'd be closest at the moment. “Go try the auxiliary building. Perhaps it works on that one.”

Jastira Veidi

Jastira had wandered off to look at some of the plants. “Oh, wow, look at this!” She'd call out. “They're still blooming. Perhaps they got enough rain and are just really resilient?” Compared to how abandoned some bits of the estate looked, it as indeed a bit of a standout.

That said, the weather was nice, the sun shining, pleasantly warm, a gentle breeze waving through the grass and trees. If the rabbit wasn't covered in blood and wishing for a bath in her new estate, she might've not even minded being stuck outside for a little longer. Yet, well, seeing how she was just like that, she'd look at the other slaves as well. “Perhaps some of you should check around the estate, see if there's other entrances that this key might open. Or other things that stand out in general. If the contract is to be believed, we can't just force our way in, we have to get to the bottom of the 'secrets of this place' or something to 'truly own it' if the fine print is to be believed.” She'd explain. “Oh, right, it seems the name of the place is the 'Sienna Estate', a name it's legally obligated to keep regardless of its owner. Another curiosity.”

She looked at the Cow. “By the way, Cow, whilst the rest explores, I'd rather not see you just waiting around. Have you ever heard of a burpee? Melia, show her how to do them with good form.”

Melia Hayward
GYOmdVf.jpg

“Yes ma'am!” She'd state, putting away her gear for now. First, she'd move into a squat position with her hands on the ground. Next, she'd kick her feet back into an extended plank position, while keeping hers arms extended. Then, she'd immediately return her feet into squat position. Then, she'd stand up from the squat position. All in all, it was like an advanced push-up type move.

“Good. Did you get that? If so, give me fifty of them. I want to see how dragging those weights around has affected your form.” There were two things she wanted outside of that. First was to show the Cow her training was on for real now. Secondly to see if the Cow would actually live up to her previous promises to be more obedient.

"Nice big place that you bought boss lady. Though I would like to know where the kitchen is so I can stash the things inside before I help clean the place up." Diego said half-heartedly while holding all the groceries with one arm, as the other held his weapon, he knew he had forgotten something, a weapon carrier on his back. The building was big that much Diego could tell from a glance but for a supposed haunted mansion it was very well kept together state it that was honestly puzzling but considering that it wasn't haunted for long then who knows?

Diego was a bit concerned when Saoirse's key didn't work on the gate, with it being repelled, so wanting to test some things he placed the groceries by the fountain in sight of others he picked up some random rock from the ground and threw it over the wall, seeing as it went in, and that the wall height was jumpable by him he had a small plan.
"I'll try an alternative approach boss lady, though I do pray the repelling force isn't there, or this will be like in an episode of Tom and Jerry." Diego said snickering about his own joke before taking a nice long running start and attempting to jump over the wall surrounding the Sienna Estate though how that ended is to be determined.

As Fenrir set out to gather the fur-care products, he was initially faced with an array of options—bottles, creams, and lotions, each claiming to enhance shine, soften fur, or detangle with ease. Despite his usual attentiveness, he found himself uncertain which would best suit his mistress' preferences. Fortunately, Melia, the crimson-haired swordswoman, accompanied him and discreetly pointed out the right selections. Her assistance was appreciated, even if it was a reminder that there were still aspects of his mistress' likes and dislikes he had yet to learn.

As he carefully placed the items into the basket, Melia’s unexpected question caught him off guard. "A good reason for you to be allowed to apply these lotions on our mistress?" Her request had been enough to pique Fenrir’s curiosity. He repeated her words in a low murmur, ensuring no one else could overhear. His mind raced, trying to understand her motives. The request felt strategic, a way to improve her standing among the ranks of Saoirse's servants. Perhaps, by demonstrating skill and attentiveness, she hoped to earn favor or a more trusted role.

"You look strong enough... maybe you could argue that, with your strength, a deep massage could be done in tandem with applying the products?" he suggested, his voice even as he met her gaze. The idea was simple yet effective; a strong massage could be seen as both a service and a subtle demonstration of capability. Fenrir's towering form loomed over Melia, yet he maintained a calm, steady presence, the basket firm in his right hand.

Later, as the group gathered in front of the new estate Saoirse had acquired, Fenrir’s keen eyes took in the scene before him. His mistress' appearance was disheveled, her clothes torn and marred by dirt, vomit, and blood—a sight that made his furred brows furrow with concern. Lei-Cao, usually so brash and unruly, was visibly injured, her nose crooked and her neck bruised.

Fenrir’s eyes shifted to Melia, then to Jastira, the blue-haired Fae. Neither showed any sign of surprise or concern, as if this was not an uncommon occurrence. Understanding their silence, Fenrir mirrored their composure, deciding it was not his place to question what had transpired. Perhaps there would be time to learn more about this later, if at all.

When Saoirse tried to unlock the gate with a key only for it to be rejected by the keyhole, Fenrir’s head tilted slightly, intrigued by the unusual behavior. Without hesitation, he accepted the key from her, nodding respectfully. "I will check the auxiliary building right away, mistress."

Turning on his heel, Fenrir began walking, feeling the gentle warmth of the breeze brush against his fur. It prompted him to close his eyes for a moment, savoring the sensation before continuing on his task. Taking a longer, more scenic route along the cobbled path, he allowed himself a fleeting moment to enjoy the calm, but his focus quickly returned to the task at hand. Passing by Melia, he continued until he reached the end of the path.

If there was a door at the auxiliary building, Fenrir would test the key, checking to see if it would open.

A haunted house was the base to be, perhaps Teti had misjudged his employment with Saoirse if she did not even yet have a home with which to house them. Well the deal was complete and she had paid for him so he was hers and she had even paid for a new maid outfit for him. that was without a doubt a point in why maids were better than butlers, the dress up fun you could have with them. Still the house had a mystery they had to solve before it was theirs, so haunted or not it was a place with an annoying catch they had to deal with before it was really theirs. Though speaking of his owner it seemed her fight with the cow had gone, interestingly. while she had clearly won, the blood upon her clothes and fur spoke of a harder fight than she let on. Well what mattered was she had beaten the cow who would stay to bitch and moan another day. That was... good? Diego mentioned tom and jerry stirred a memory of the life long gone in Teti and it seemed he was not the only one from another world here. Well it didn't matter much their mistress might just be a collector of them. Really Teti had very few ideas of what to do to get in.

" I'll go with Fenrir its best not to let anyone go off alone lest the mystery snatch them " Teti said following after the wolf man butler.

All of these caveats to get a proper estate more fit for Saoirse's status. It was rather unfortunate that so far these sorts of journies hadn't been terribly conventional, from the thief in the shop, to the fire elemental at the looting site, and now this 'Sienna Estate' which had more obstacles to get over between the key not working.

At least with a space this sizable they'd get to put more mundane servants to use, Ryuuji feeling fortunate that given the utility of his skillset it was unlikely Saoirse would stoop to assigning him rudimentary cleaning or cooking tasks. He was much more capable in things which required magic or strategy, as he had shown so far he felt, quite pleased that his earlier decision to go along with what Jastira brought attention too had paid off.

He knew that Saoirse didn't only want slaves who simply did what she said, but ones who could think for themselves if need be, higher in the echelon so to speak, this was sort of like an organization all over again, working back in an office, and Ryuuji had no intention of going easy on his aspirations to impress Saoirse and further his own position.

Regardless he listened to her well enough and he did not speak on what had happened to her, as he knew the full story, and remembered her orders quite well. It seemed that the others knew well enough not to question about it for the time being, as Saoirse herself wasn't making a big fuss over it, had she then it would be logical to see what had happened, good there was learning happening already.

Hopefully Lei Cao knew well enough to start up nonsense now after that defeat and hopefully she'd just do her training and take it in stride.

With what Jastira said, Ryuuji would glance over at her, "Could be magic involved I suppose too.."

When Saoirse gave the next set of instructions to look around the grounds, he gave a low bow respectfully, "Understood my Mistress." Before he looked over at Diego and hoped that the rock being thrown would inform his decision so that if it didn't make it he'd stop himself, lest Ryuuji would need to heal him up if he collided and got seriously hurt.

"I will say this is a most..curious estate then I do wonder why the name staying the same is so important.." Before he paused,

"And I suppose Teti has a point, it might be safer if we're at least in pairs, we can cover more ground if we head the other way, why don't you come take a gander with me Jastira?" He'd ask, a neutral serious expression on his face once more.

Regardless the reply he got, Ryuuji began to use some movement actions to move around the estate the opposite direction that Fenrir and Teti were headed, to check out what was going on.

Lei wasn't sure how, but she fully believed Saoirse had to have cheated during the duel. In any realistic scenario, that rabbit shouldn't have been anything more than a viscous red paste smeared across the ground yet here they had been pretending like it were a flawless victory. She could remember the fear she believed she struck into the little one, and the pain Lei caused to her, so why was she still stuck coming along on something so stupid? And to top it all off, there were way too many other slaves for her to care about. In the first place, she was very whatever about learning any names and Ryuuji was as far as she had gotten, but now there were all these other annoying obsessive freaks that she could only ponder how much black magic was at work.

"Still a better name than Desrosier... " Lei grumbled under her breath, not really sure what all the meaningless fuss was about or they were getting a new place. It felt like just yesterday they were buying a beachhouse of sorts, now Saoirse wanted some estate? And an ugly looking one at that, must have cobwebs and skeletons in closets all over the place. Things were already feeling cold especially with the lack of armour, so she felt inclined to just take a break and wait it out while the other saps who were so desperate for praise sorted it out. Unfortunately, it would feel like Saoirse couldn't get enough of Lei even after cheating. Huffing as she was asked about burpees, she answered back.

"So what, yes, I know. You don't have to demonstrate it. Why fifty, that's so many, we'll be here all day. You're not gonna sit and watch me do all fifty. You're not even gonna heal me from your rigged duel, or give me my armour back, or even buy me anything for all you dragged me through? Ugh, fine, but shut you and your stupid little pink princess wannabe warrior up" Lei groaned, wishing that Saoirse would've just turned a blind eye to her for the moment so she wouldn't have to have given any thought or effort. Otherwise, she'd very reluctantly begin her burpees, although would probably keep in mind the possibility of taking a short inactivity rest if Saoirse wasn't looking.

Saoirse Desrosiers

“So it seems.” She'd reply to Diego's comment on the size of this estate. “Right.” She side-eyed him. Was he complaining about what to do with groceries to her? “Perhaps I'll be able to learn some Pocket Magic, or maybe my Butler or Maid will, to make such things more convenient in the future.” She'd reply, believing it to be a very worth-while type of magic/ability to possess for these purposes. “For now, it seems there won't be anyone near, so until we figure out how to get to the kitchen or storage, I'll allow you to leave it on the bench. Unless it needs shade, then keep it under a tree.” That was the best they had momentarily.

“Though I must say, from what you bought, I am genuinely curious what this cuisine of yours will be.” She figured Diego had, so far, behaved well enough to earn himself a 'compliment' of sorts.

That said, he made her raise an eyebrow. “What in the world is an 'episode' and who are 'Tom and Jerry'?” That all sounded like unknown nonsense to her.

As for his attempt itself... it did not go well. He'd find out the 'wall' was smooth, slippery and most of all... warded by a barrier. It didn't just disallow him to jump or climb over, it even made it so looking over it made it impossible to really see what was behind it. He'd just see a reflecting barrier above the walls instead. Luckily enough, the force didn't repel him in a catapulting manner, nor did he slam into it hard enough to just be flat-faced against it. He might even be able to at least make a someone gracious landing somewhat if he managed it right (if he'd rely on skill/ability use).

The wolfman butler had gotten one thing wrong, Melia had, in fact, looked at Saoirse with clear concern whilst Jastira had looked at her in confusion in the first short paragraph of a very long previous post. Whether he simply hadn't fully recognised it and would recall or notice it now, or if he simply would remain unaware, was up to Maxxob currently not clear.

As for the auxiliary building, Fenrir would notice it had three doors total as he walked around it. Two bigger doors and one smaller door leading to the seating area and 'washing machines' as one might call them. That said, the key worked on none of them. Like what happened with Saoirse's attempts at the main gate, it didn't even go into the keyholes, it bounced straight off. Not just that, any window into it simply reflected the outside, as if looking at a mirror. Another peculiarity was the path heading north, as it ended abruptly into nothing. Perhaps it was there for future building plans that has simply never taken place?

As for Teti, he'd also gotten a compliment from his new mistress. “That suits you surprisingly well.” She'd mentioned, upon seeing his new outfit. Then again, from her perspective the shortness of the skirt was rather noticeable as she pretty much looked at it at eye level. Whilst she wasn't sure if that was intended, a kink or a seduction attempted, she figured she'd let it be for now. Whether modesty was needed for a maid or whether this type of outfitting was just as good was a question for later. She'd honestly not been entirely sure what he'd make of it, but he didn't disappoint thus far, so he was allowed some freedom.

Come to think of it, there was one thing that did disappoint her a bit. From maid and butler alike, for that matter. She couldn't exactly take a bath here or get some new clothes, but she desperately was looking for something to get cleaned up a little. Walking around in filth covered clothing was far below her. A butler or maid worth their salt should surely offer some way to clean without needing asked, no? Something to point in private, later on, for now she'd be on her own.

It's why she'd move over to inspect the water in the fountain, only to realise the water in it was absolutely rancid. Yet the pumps into those weird barrels seemed to be working. Not that she knew exactly how to use them. “Fenrir, Teti, does either of you know how these work?” She'd call out, pointing at the 'washing machine' barrels. Looking inside of it, it seemed some of them even had scraps of soap left sticking to the sides that might liquidate if used. Maybe..? It could be worth a shot. The wolf, at least would know just barely enough Domestic Arts to recognise them, though he might need to figure out how to operate them through trial and error, as they weren't exactly common.

As for what Ryuuji said... “Perhaps we'll find out why the name matters once we get inside. As for going in pairs, that's fine by me.” She'd allow it.

Saoirse Desrosiers

8gBjbx8.png

The moment Saoirse turned back to see how the Cow's training was going, she saw the latter attempt to slack off. Something snapped, as she grabbed for the whip without hesitation. “First, the number just reset and it went up to a hundred.” She'd state to the cow, as the whip swung through the air and cracked down upon nearly bare back. “Second, I've long tolerated you bad-mouthing me. I've long tolerated your blatant disrespect and disobedience. I took your offer to have a fight. A deal was made and I won fairly. Do you really think I'd have ended up this filthy if I would've rigged it?”

She'd crack the whip down again, probably hard enough to tear through skin and rags alike. “Third, the fact that you're not even keeping your word means that my patience has ran out. It is training you wanted, so this is what you'll get it. Try to remember how I beat you and at least use that brain of yours to regret being so dense that you can't even admit a genuinely loss.” The most annoying part, to her, was having actually dealt with this Cow's hubris for seemingly no result.

She was silently fuming, her words dripping with anger (Intimidation C). “Fourth, you'd best keep up pace. Any time I count more than 10 seconds between each set, the whip will come down again and it'll be harder and faster each time.” She'd state, being ready to whip once more. “I won't stop until you've finished all 100 or until there's not a piece of skin left on your back and you've passed out cold.” She'd add, having absolutely no more chill left with this Cow. “And don't you dare disrespect someone with an actual warrior ethic like Melia again. Your lazy and brainless gut is currently not even worth half of what she's accomplished. You'd best learn to at least respect your losses.”

Melia Hayward
GYOmdVf.jpg

Melia had silently observed the Cow getting punished. She wondered just what had exactly happened for Saoirse to snap as much, but it wasn't pretty. That said, the Cow was bringing it upon herself, so it was tough to feel sympathy. Instead, she'd head towards Fenrir. She'd still be close enough to keep an eye on Saoirse, if needed. She'd speak up at a more hushed voice. “Fenrir, what you said earlier, about using strength, do you really think that'd be enough? She ehm... doesn't seem to enjoy being touched by non-beasts.”

She'd also eye Teti. “As for you, I've wanted to ask for a while now. What are your real goals? Are you just trying to escape trouble?” She asked, seeming somewhat suspicious of him. Or perhaps jealous? It was tough to tell.

“Magic? Hmmm. I don't think so?” The plants didn't look particularly enchanted or anything. She was surprised that Ryuuji would ask her to come along. “Huh, right, alright.” She'd add, once the mistress approved of the idea.

The two would be able to make it past the sides of the wall, where they found an even bigger entrance. Perhaps it was where the main entrance used to be, when the estate was still in full use? That said, even at a gloss, the same barrier type seemed to be covering it. It'd be debatable if the key would fit into there, or even be allowed. Yet, when they were about to pass to the backside, Jastira suddenly stopped Ryuuji.

“Shhhht!” She'd state, shushing him. Her sensitive ears twitching. “Voices... about... three... four? Perhaps more.” She'd whisper. “They're saying something about... digging up... graves... entrance key... artefacts?” It was clear she didn't pick up on the full conversation from this distance. Ryuuji himself didn't hear a thing, but if he was brave enough to peak past the wall, he'd see a snobby, fat looking man, a woman dressed in some adventurer's garb and another plain looking man that was digging up a grave. He couldn't see more, but they seemed to be talking to others, so there were probably more that he couldn't see from this angle. “What should we do?” She'd whisper, unsure on how to proceed.

Fenrir’s brow furrowed as he repeatedly tried the key in several doors, each attempt met with the same strange rejection. Each time the key was repelled, he caught it deftly, frustration simmering beneath his calm exterior. "A single key that seems to not fit any of the doors. Mmmm... I wonder if this estate has some sort of magical protection that needs to be dealt with first, before it can be entered." The idea made sense; it was unlikely that the key wouldn’t fit any doors at all. Something unseen might be blocking his entry, and that only deepened the mystery.

Fenrir's curiosity grew as he tried to peer through the building’s windows, only to be greeted with a reflective surface that showed his own puzzled expression back at him. It was as if the windows were mirrors, an odd enchantment that stirred his wariness. Was this a mere trick of magic, or something more ominous? The thought made him grumble softly, a low sound that reverberated from the depths of his chest. The estate's secrets seemed tangled in a veil of mystique, and his thoughts drifted back to his earlier concerns of potential curses.

After his attempts, he made his way back, his gait steady and deliberate. Finding Saoirse by the water fountain, he reported the situation without hesitation. "I've tried the key in a few doors I came across, mistress. It doesn't work in any of them. Just like the front gate, the key keeps being repelled by the keyhole. Maybe there is some sort of protection outside we have to deal with before being able to enter the estate proper?" He spoke evenly, careful to offer his insight without appearing to overstep his role.

When Saoirse inquired about the unusual washing apparatus, Fenrir’s ears drooped slightly in response. He hadn’t encountered such machines before. "I'm sorry, mistress, I've never had experience in working with these. However, I shall experiment with them until I learn how to do it." The butler's eagerness to learn was palpable, his desire to be of service driving him to confront the unfamiliar without hesitation. He understood why she was concerned; Saoirse's clothes were still in a sorry state, smeared with remnants of her earlier ordeal.

Realizing that he should have addressed her condition sooner, Fenrir began unbuttoning his black vest, then removed his white shirt and bow tie. He folded the large shirt, holding it out to her. "I am really sorry for having not a better option to offer, but would you accept my shirt while I try to work this pump and wash your clothes?" he offered, his muscular, furred chest now exposed. The white shirt, far larger than what the petite bunny woman would typically wear, would at least provide full cover. If she declined, he would respectfully redress himself.

Regardless of her choice, Fenrir approached the water pump, determined to master its mechanism. He began experimenting with the device, testing how it functioned and how it might be used to clean her garments, all while tapping into his knowledge of [Domestic Arts F].

As he worked, Melia approached him once more, and his ears perked up at the sound of her quiet steps. Her predicament regarding Saoirse’s preferences seemed to weigh on her, and Fenrir listened attentively as she sought his advice again. "Ah, that could complicate things a bit. Strength could be a nice appeal if others don't have it. I think it could be a matter of something only you, despite being a human, could have to offer while applying the products on our mistress. Perhaps that might change her opinion and allow you to do it," he suggested, keeping his voice low and measured. Fenrir’s tone was thoughtful, offering guidance in earnest, seeing Melia's ambition as an opportunity to demonstrate his own willingness to assist, even in subtle ways.

Trying the key elsewhere was about as succeful as one might expect, which was to say not at all. It had been a long shot, but magic was weird and people had random over sights. Still this place was without a doubt under some kind of magical none sense.

" this place is magic so sadly it won't be straight forward my lady " teti said with a shrug. Hopefully this place didn't include riddles he wasn't the best at riddles.

Fenrir did score a point for the butter in they had more clothes that could be removed without looking odd. Teti could remove his outfit, but it would look wrong on saosrie a girl in a man's oversized clothes was cute a gifted in over sized girl's clothes not so much. Also Teti doubed many wanted to know just what color his panties were as well if he dressed in ladies clothes he went all the way. The answer which his mistress might hVe seen was white. Other colors might show through and ruin things.

Teti chuckled a little bit when asked what hos goals were. His goals were more or less accomplished as looking back he had never had grand goals. He wanted to live his life entertaining and when he got even older he'd figure it out. Now he was locked into being a maid, which might be better might be worse who knew.

" I was honest I watched till I saw someone I felt I would agree to being owned by. " that muchbwas true though what he meant by that he kept to himself. Saying someone soft on slaves and perhaps someone he could nudge in ways he liked wasn't going to fly. " As for now maids need to be number 1 and I shall be our lady's number one maid " his tone a bit dramatic as the little butler v maid thing was a joke but he would do his best. He would be the closest to their mistress. " As for getting closer to our lady, hmm well getting close to people comes naturaly to me. Perhaps ypu would like some tips in private on getting close to others? " he teased his [ cat's meow] mixing Seduction and Persuasion with out him truly meaning to use it.

Lei was expecting to at least get away with small brief respites during the workout in order to make it easier and more relaxing since there wasn't going to be much of anything happening as the others sought out a way inside for their clearly uninformed master who apparently couldn't even buy ownership of a house correctly. Barely paying any attention anticipating some sort of snarky insult to be made, Lei heard about the heightening of the required amount she would need to do as well as an abrupt sharp pain striking deep into her back. Losing her composure and falling forward slightly so she was laying stomach-down, she'd face and glare at Saoirse.

"AH, what the hell is your problem!? That fight was anything but fair, if I wasn't holding back or had even one less weight on me, you'd be completely dead and you know it! You couldn't expect me to do all those, even if I did you sure as hell wouldn't believe me or word I say" the minotaur would argue back, only to recoil and arch her back from another sharp pain from the whip as she tried to silence her noises of pain via biting her lip.
"Fine, fine, alright! I'll do it, chaos' hells, relax!" Lei would finally submit, albeit audibly annoyed and frustrated, she didn't ever see Saoirse holding even a singular ounce of suspicion for her other slaves that she only had for what felt like not even a day. Huffing and grumbling quietly as she moved to return to making an attempt back at what she was doing, she was a little offset by the pulsing pains left by her lashes.

"Some 'interest for my success', if Melia's what someone calls warrior spirit then they're clearly delusional, this is the rabbit's third house now, what a waste of time... " Lei muttered to herself under her breath, rolling her eyes as she started. She mostly wanted it over with knowing that Saoirse, as the lazy slave owner she was being, clearly had nothing better to do than have her little pawns do everything whilst she sat wanting to abuse her power via whipping people for no reason.

"Will try to work some magic in the kitchen then once we get in then boss lady. Though I will make a few versions of the meal since I don't know the tastes of all of you."
Diego said while smirking a bit, sure he had stuff for both burritos or tacos and pico de Gallo, honestly it should be good for them, though he will not give the beef to Lei, as he bought the meat half in beef and half in chicken so there would at least be that.
"I will plead the fifth for that one boss lady, not that I don't trust you its just some things are better off not knowing, but if you wish really wish to know I will explain it to you later."
Sure Saorise was his owner and he was her slave, so whatever she wanted should be fulfilled, but thankfully there was a clause in his contract which stipulated he can hold some secrets, and he was thankful for that albeit if she truly wished to know he would gladly tell her about it after all better to build goodwill with an employer that actually wants you alive.

"Shit!" Diego silently yelled only to himself, as he began falling back down because of the reflective force, thankfully the years he spent as a MTF, and in his community meant he learned how to land rightly his knowledge and practice of Parkour were useful in this situation. So even with himself being in armor, his landing was good, as he fell down he bent his knees and rolled backward to relieve some of the pressure from the landing onto his whole body, which ended up with him lying down on the ground, but with a swift kick up he was back on his feet.
"Well that won't work the barriers stretching over the entire wall and above it, I can't really see inside of it so we do need to find a way in."
He reported to Saoirse albeit a bit reluctantly as he gathered no information really from his attempt.

Diego took a deep breath after that, and looked around, and listened to Saoirse nagging the cow, honestly she had it coming. Wanting training but complaining when she got it, not keeping her word was something he did not like. So he walked up to her to the cow, looked at Saoirse, and said.
"I hope you don't mind boss lady, that unless you have some order for me to do. I take half of her punishment, at least the burpee kind as even I doubt you whipping me would cause me any pain. Iv been subjected to worse, especially at my last place of employ, and I'm talking about before the pig."
Depending on Saoirses answer Diego would either take off his helmet and place it on the ground nearby, and begin to do burpees next to the cow, or to be exact opposite of her so the cow could look straight into Diegos eyes as they did it, he would even try to match the rhythm of Cows, just to both spite her and build some semblance of camaraderie.
But if Saoirse had an order for him or a different opinion on the matter he would fulfill her order.

Not enchanted? Were they being taken care of by the ghosts then? No matter, Jastira was coming with him after saoirse gave permission and he was perfectly fine with that. The pair moved around the building the other way.

Of course, the same thing which was being a thorn in their side was present, the barrier.

Ryuuji had an inclination to try appraising the barrier at some point as it really was rather tiresome, maybe the appraisal would reveal some sort of information which could help them force their way through..but for some reason he wasn’t feeling the most optimistic it would be that easy.

“Naturally..” He murmured at the discovery, with a displeased look.

He had just been about to pass to the backside, suddenly Jastira shushed him, so he froze in place, knowing she wouldn’t do that without a good reason. He listened carefully to what she had to say.

He peaked around the wall slightly to confirm what she was speaking about, before he went back behind obscured, and looked to her.

Looks like we got a band of grave robbers. He’d respond a bit more softly himself.

One notable aspect which stuck out to Ryuuji was that none of them appeared to be beasts.

Looks like it was time for a bit more gambling. What were the chances they all knew one another intimately? Either Way it was pretty clear they were likely criminals so if worse came to worst Ryuuji could work his magic on them.

“I’m going to approach them, stall for time and see if I can’t learn anything, meanwhile you should go and inform our mistress of what’s going on, Ideally I’ll be able to stall them long enough she can mount a proper response with the others, and if things start to go in an unfavorable direction, then as you know, if I must, I can bring..a rather shocking experience to them.”

Normally this was the type of thing that Ryuuji really wasn’t keen on doing, risking his hide, but if he was successful he was pretty certain that Saoirse would be proud of him for successfully stalling long enough for these people to be apprehended properly.

With that Ryuuji began to walk toward the group, and when he got in close enough proximity for them to hear/ see him, he’d promptly give a bow with etiquette F, before putting his hands out and open as if to be transparent and show them he did not come armed with anything immediately at the ready.

“Greetings..gentlemen and lady, first, I wish to say that I do not desire to harm you, after all our kind should really stick together in this trying land..for does not tend to be very kind to us, whatever you are doing here, I understand there can be a need to..redistribute the wealth.”

“In these difficult times do you perhaps need someone to do a job for you? I’m not picky, and don’t need much.”
As long as he could keep their attention and not get killed, there was a chance this could work out.

Actions:
1. Move until in speaking and sight range of trio. (Use additional move action if need be)
2. Bow with Etiquette F, and show that do not mean harm with gestures. Try to stall for time.

“What is MY problem!?!” She called back, eyes a cold burning anger. She walked over to the Cow's cheek, poking a finger at the still blue and bruised temple. “That's where I landed a hit when I knocked you out cold.” She'd then grab the Cow's finger and whispered. “You're to be praised for one thing, you had me angry and cornered enough to use my teeth and taste your blood.” (Intimidation C). In her anger, she forgot that both Fenrir and Teti were beasts with heightened enough hearing to possibly pick up on some words. Fenrir in particular, would get the full sentence and context. “I could've chocked you to death, right then and there, but I didn't. You have a promise to full-fill to serve me like an obedient Cow and I'll make you keep it.” She'd state, making some distance again. “Remember, ten seconds.” That was the time the Cow got between each burpee, before the whip would crack down once more.

Despite all that, however, there was one thing that the rabbit noticed and couldn't abstain from saying. “Relax your legs more when you land like that each time, you'll just strain yourself this way.” (Mentor C) She clicked her tongue. “Don't cheap out on the push-up bit either. Just your mammaries hitting the ground barely counts as a full push-up in your case. Go deeper.” She'd add, expecting some level of backlash, but so be it. She had her whip ready regardless, should the Cow be dump enough to take longer than 10 seconds between each burpee when talking back to her.

As if being a polar opposite to the Cow, her butler was soon to prove more useful. Though his first announcement was disheartening. “That is unfortunate. Perhaps Ryuuji and Jastira will notice something of use on the other side of the complex. The contract stipulated some trouble might be had, but its fine print managed to downplay the extend of it surprisingly well. That said, I am sure the pay-off once we figure this all out should be more than enough to compensate the trouble.” She eyed the walls again, eager to get to whatever was behind them. “If the contract is to be believed, the secrets of this place should be revealable without damaging it. In other words, whatever this protection or riddle might entail, there should be a clue somewhere.” She had an inkling the contract was to be believed, at the very least.

“I see.” She'd state, not entirely disappointed as a butler not knowing a particular washing machine was a forgive-able offence. Especially seeing how he seemed eager enough to learn. “Your willingness to learn is enough to cover for the lack of knowledge.” She'd nod to herself.

In fact, he managed to impress further, as he promptly gave her his shirt. “Very well, though, I assume you'll be careful? Using my clothing as a test to learn how to use it is a risky endeavour.” She'd state, as she would not be happy if he would tear them or run the colours. That said, for now, he'd earned her trust, as she'd take off her clothes down to her panties, before she'd hand them all over and put on the shirt he'd given her instead. Seeing how intense the fight had been, she figured she might as well get it all washed out. “I do wonder why these washing barrels are here to begin with. What facility would need so much washing as to have them outside? Did you see anything when you went around the building?” She'd ask, though he'd not be able to answer her unless he'd guess about it.

As for him figuring out the washing, it was rather intuitive. The pump still worked as well. His main (if not only) worry was that it might go too hard and heavy-handed and therefore damage or tear the clothing if he wasn't careful. These seemed to be made for larger materials that needed frequent washing and that were sturdy or didn't damage as easily as clothing.

The cat, meanwhile, confused her a bit. Magic so daily? That said, the one thing she did get, she feared she had to agree with. “Probably not, no. Yet it should be worthwhile in the end. Besides, perhaps it can become another form of training.”

Diego, finally, was a mixed bag. It seemed he didn't fully grasp his situation, even at this point. Seriously, the tastes of 'all of them'? Why in the world would that matter. Clearly only her own taste mattered and by virtue of being the self-appointed chef, he had the luxury of trying to match it up to his own taste as well. The rest didn't matter in the slightest. “I see.” She'd simply reply, not entirely amused, but figuring she'd let it be for now.

The next bit annoyed her even more, however, as he didn't answer her and brought up another unfamiliar term. “Plead the fifth?” What the hell did that mean. “Explain it now.” She commanded, her patience having ran dry. She'd already allowed him four freedoms, to cook his own food, to pick his own gear, to not be hit with slippers or belts and to have one siesta per week. The freedom to withhold information from her, speak in terminology she didn't understand or decide when to answer her were not included in that package deal.

Seeing his attempt to jump the walls fail didn't surprise her, as the only thing that stood out was the ability to plan the landing. “Good to have that confirmed.” She'd state, as he did technically reduce the odds of it working from a meagre 20% to 0% with that test-run just now.

His behaviour, however, continued to confuse her. “Her punishment is hers to receive.” She'd state, as that was as simple as that. “If you wish to take part in training with burpee's, you are welcome to join in.” She'd add, as that bit was as much training as it was punishment. “As for pain, unless you're grown [Resilient] to it, you will feel it.” She trusted her ability to crack a whip well enough. “Though I suggest you don't cause a need for you to find out, unless you want to compete with the Cow for some reason beyond me.” She'd look at the Cow, having realised that she was dangerously close to dropping under 10 second again, so she might as well keep her whip at the ready. At this rate, her whipping arm was getting a fair bit of exercise.

Melia Hayward

Melia listened carefully to Fenrir. Something that only she could offer? Hmmm. “I see... I'll have to think on it.” She had no clue what such a thing might be. “Do you want me to work the pump, whilst you wash?” She'd offer, as it seemed that'd be easier for him and he had been helping her out already.

As for what the cat said, it made sense to her. “I agree, she is definitely the best owner one could possibly wish for.” She'd state with confidence. “I wish the Cow would realise the same, so that she would finally become a more worthy sparring partner.” She'd side-eye the Cow. “Though it seems she needs other methods to train first.”

The next bit was odd, as there was one thing that had been on a her mind for a bit now. “You truly wish to be a maid? No offence, but you looked more like some dancer, or other performer, when we first met you.” Though the last bit was of more interest. “You would be able to help me with ideas? I would be willing to hear them.” She'd nod, the straight-laced warrior being persuaded with ease, yet not even noticing the seductive undertones.

“By the Spirit King, that's gross.” She'd reply, the idea of someone digging up a grave thoroughly disgusting to her. “Are you sure?” She asked, not entirely confident about Ryuuji's ability to just solo-distract them. It didn't seem like he'd change his mind, sadly enough. “Alright, be careful.” She'd state, as she'd return to go inform Saoirse.

As Ryuuji would approach them, he'd realise there were five total. The bulkier looking men, the woman and three men that didn't have all that much distinctive going on about them.

Grave Robber (M)

Grave Robber (F)

The woman would (action 1) Teleport (E) behind Ryuuji and continue to attempt to hit him in the neck (action 2 & 3) with the blunt side of her weapon. (Enervation D, Non-Lethal D, Incapacitating D, Accurate D, Penetrating D, Ethos [Dagger] D, Initiative [Attack] D). “Nothing personal boy.” She'd state.

Grave Robber (Generic)

The three generic looking men were quick to spread out and try to surround Ryuuji, just in case the woman alone wasn't going to be enough to take him down.

“Madam!” She called out. “We encountered Grave Robbers on the other side of the estate. Ryuuji is engaging with them as we speak, in an attempt to stall them!”

Saoirse Desrosiers

8gBjbx8.png

Surprised for multiple reasons, as both the fact there were apparently graves on her estate and the fact that there were folk robbing them were shocking, as well as the fact Ryuuji decided to go stall for time, she was quick give her orders. “Fenrir, Diego, take the Cow and try to approach them from the north. Melia, you're with me. Teti, Jastira, follow, but keep your distance. We'll take the same path as before.”

Melia Hayward
GYOmdVf.jpg

“Yes ma'am!” She'd reply, quick to get ready. Melia, Saoirse and Jastira would begin to make their way towards where Jastira and Ryuuji had been previously (their actions will be happening first next rounds, assume they are moving just around the corner of the walls during the next round) whilst Teti was able to follow (takes 2 move actions and leaves 1 action to interact with the scene they'd encounter of Ryuuji being attacked, let me know where you'd want him to be on the map).

Diego's, Fenrir's and Cow's path would be a tad more troublesome, as the forests and shrubs were relatively dense. On their way, they'd notice the barrier more clearly, as it kept glowing around where the tree branches crossed over the walls. It seemed that somehow the trees did manage to go through, though the barrier being visible as a result suggested that climbing them wouldn't amount to much. They would need all 3 actions to move into the scene, but seeing how Ryuuji had distracted the group, they would be able to pick their own positions regarding where they'd end up (let me know where you want them to be on the map at the start of next round).

Fenrir's ears flicked subtly as he caught snippets of the conversation between Saoirse and Lei-Cao, confirming his earlier suspicions. The two had evidently clashed, leading to the sorry state of his mistress' appearance and the bruises on the Minotaur. It was curious to him that a master would deign to engage physically with a slave, yet it wasn't his place to probe into such matters. Perhaps there was a reason Saoirse had chosen not to discard Lei-Cao, despite the conflict. His amber eyes softened momentarily, masking the flicker of intrigue beneath a calm and composed exterior.

"Of course, mistress. While we can't see what lies beyond the gate, considering my previous master's taste and desire for comfort, I'm certain this estate will be well worth its purchase. Just the size of the walled area is already rather considerable." Fenrir spoke with quiet confidence, his voice carrying a hint of encouragement as he glanced toward the walled expanse. His knowledge of luxury estates suggested that whatever lay behind those gates, possibly had to be impressive.

As Saoirse accepted his offer of the shirt, Fenrir's chest swelled subtly with a sense of satisfaction. He averted his gaze, respecting her privacy as she undressed, and gently took hold of her soiled clothes, careful not to damage the delicate fabric further. "Don't you worry, mistress. I will test these washing barrels on my own vest and bow-tie first, before I try with your own clothes." His voice was steady, his mind already working out the process. It only made sense to ensure the apparatus functioned properly before risking any damage to her garments.

"While I can only guess, I think that these washing barrels were originally used to clean tools or dinnerware. That is my only hunch." His tone was contemplative, a fleeting attempt to make sense of the contraptions. Without wasting time, Fenrir approached the washing barrels, glancing at Melia who had offered assistance. His words of advice to her earlier seemed to have resonated, and he gave a brief nod of approval as she took up the task of pumping. "Yes, please, use the pump. I will test these washing barrels on my clothing first."

With careful deliberation, he placed his burgundy bow-tie and black vest into the barrel, turning his attention to the mechanics of the device. He fiddled with the contraption, his fingers deftly moving to find a crank or any mechanism that would allow the barrel to spin. Should he not find one, he'd resort to manually turning it, testing the resistance and observing any peculiarities in the design. His nose twitched slightly, catching the scent of Teti as he spoke to Melia, his words laced with that familiar, flirtatious undertone. Fenrir's ears twitched in acknowledgment, but he kept his focus on the task at hand, his mind already accustomed to deciphering the Beastkin's subtle plays.

His concentration, however, was broken by Jastira's sudden approach, her report carrying an unsettling revelation. Graves... and grave robbers, no less. The thought sent a chill down his spine, a stark contrast to the warm breeze he had enjoyed earlier. Fenrir's response was immediate and unhesitating, "Of course, mistress!" His loyalty was clear, and the command to act propelled him into motion. He slipped back into his light armor, the familiar weight settling on his frame, and unsheathed his dual swords, their dark steel glinting against the sunlight.

He hadn't spent much time with Diego or Lei-Cao, but his experience taught him that teamwork was essential. Diego had already proven his worth back at the store, while Lei-Cao, for all her rough edges, appeared to be still capable. "Let's get a move on, Ryuuji might be in danger." Fenrir's voice was calm yet firm, his words carrying a sense of urgency as he led the way north, navigating the uneven terrain with practiced ease.

As they approached the dense brush near the northern wall, the Wolfman took the lead, his swords deftly slicing through overgrown vines and branches. He kept his steps light and deliberate, mindful of any signs of movement ahead. Once close enough to the building next to the western wall, he halted, motioning for Diego and Lei-Cao to gather. "It is best if we all act at the same time, we might get them by surprise. I will stand between the building and the wall," he whispered, his low growl barely audible, laying out a simple plan to flank their potential foes.

Fenrir positioned himself at the corner of the building, both swords gripped firmly, the anticipation clear in the way his muscles tensed beneath his fur. He would wait for the right moment, ready to strike with precision and force the moment an opportunity presented itself.

Teti chuckled as Melia called him more of a dancer and entertainer, which was true he had been. the questioning of him wanting to be a maid was questioned, but honestly her had and answer for that. " That's because i was both, well i also did night entertainment, but that's all part of the job. " Teti shrugged " Anyways being a maid seems the best option and if i am going to be one i will try to be a great one" honestly Teti would do that he was more than willing to accept the shift in profession.

Teti blinked he had honestly not expected that, well he wouldn't be surprised if she hadn't completely missed the seduction and only got the desire to get closer to their mistress. he had of course only been joking not really serious about doing anything, but now he almost felt like he had to. He would need need to think of some way to get closer to people, well he could think of one that might help. Melia was a warrior and very serious and people could pick up on that . Saoirse being a rabbit might pick up on that even more as most beast people had some personality traits from their species.

Before Teti could suggest an solution Saoirse called out to them. Things had gone wrong, though nit in the way Teti might expect it was grave robbers not ghosts or magical constructs. These graverobbers had some crazy timing they could pick any day before this and just walk up to the graveyard steal stuff and leave and they picked today. that was one hell of a coincidence if it was indeed one? This place was full of magic so who knew what it could do. If the makers of the barrier could cover the grounds why not the graves? Were the graves connected to things? Were the robbers part of what they needed to solve?

Teti moved to Saoirse, he had been told to follow and while he was he was sticking a bit closer than one might expect. While he couldn't say he was a devoted as Melia, he wasn't as against things as Lei, he wasn't one to be protective of others, but well he wasn't going to let someone fuck with his meal ticket. yep he would defend his mistress because well he was willing to risk it to keep what he saw as an easy life as a maid.

" This might be a long shot mistress but what are the chances these grave robbers are part of this mystery? " Teti asked as they moved around the estate towards the graveyard.

Diego stood in front of Saoirse helmet in one hand his glaive in the other, looking at her waiting for her decision, when she began speaking he listened carefully, and after she finished he quickly replied to her, firstly to her disallowing him to take part in Lei-Cao's punishment, comparing it to how he had it in the past.
"I understand boss, but I was taught camaraderie in my previous employ. And there, punishment wasn't given to an individual but to the whole group to deter the one person from doing it again because it causes their comrades to self-regulate that behavior in themselves and in the offender."
After a solid ten seconds and a small breath, he changed the topic to her wanting to explain plead the fifth, as she did sound a bit angry at that.
"As for pleading the fifth, it's just a phrase, meaning I will abstain from talking about it for now. Which in this case means I am willing to explain things to you my boss, but not right now, with the proper timing being after we acquire the estate fully, since unnecessary information will clutter the mind."
Finally addressing his claim of not caring for pain, sure he could still feel it, he was just desensitized to pain after years of horrible employment under the Foundation. Pain was regular there, so being used to it was normal.
"I might not be resilient to pain as you call it, but I'm used to it... My previous place of employment wasn't exactly nice in their ways, like that one time they performed surgery on me, opened up my stomach, and replaced a few organs... While fully conscious and without any sedatives or painkillers...."
Having explained everything he needed to for now, he placed his helmet back on his head, and took a few steps back, beginning to train to improve his handling of his glaive but it was cut short as Jastira arrived with news. Shortly after Saoirse gave out the command to move out.

"Roger that boss!" Diego said while doing a small two-finger salute to Saoirse, before running off shortly after Fenrir, though keeping pace with the beast-man was near impossible due to his headstart and how fast he traversed the terrain that did not stop Diego from being in seemingly close proximity to him, only hoping that Lei-Cao was somewhere behind the two of them as he could not take time to check for her.
Upon seeing a raised fist from Fenrir, Diego halted to a stop just a few steps behind him, within a whispering distance one could say. Ooh how Diego missed radio communication in this very moment, one could only ask as he was unwilling to tell. At Fenrir's proposition of a pincer attack Diego formulated a small plan after taking a peak around the corner, and explained it simply to him in whispers. "I should be able to get to the higher roof of the second building rather easily, from there I can probably get a drop on at least one of the hostiles, if not then at least it will startle them for a bit so use that as you will."

Seeing as Fenrir heard his plan, and moved out, Diego began to reposition himself as well, with a running start over the grassy terrain, a high jump was performed only to grab onto the edge of the rooftop and pull himself up with his climbing skills. He got onto the smaller roof, now time for the taller one, a small run-up followed by a high jump ending with him grabbing onto the roof and dragging himself onto it, from there he moved in a crouched position with one hand staying at all times on the roof tiles towards the upper edge of the roof in the same direction that Fenrir moved. Ryuuji seemed to remember being a tad bit better at being misleading to his benefit in his last life, he’d need to take some cues from Jastira and up his manipulation misleading game apparently, as long as it stayed lawful enough naturally.. Even so as soon as Ryuuji heard the middle aged looking criminal guy say to get him all bets were off. These scum were going to get what they had coming to them if they thought he was just going to roll over and taken out of the picture.

In a split moment Ryuuji used his Precognition F to better react to what was coming, and assuming he wasn’t knocked out for the count by this point after his assailant said it was nothing personal if he was able to continue, since he hadn’t moved this round, he leveraged his Magic Circle perk from Spell Caster Tier 1 and expended a great deal of magical energy, an arcane symbol casting circle flavored with green light and electrical energy appeared under him, before quickly suddenly his whole body took on an energized aura of light and electrical energy, becoming a persistent hazard around his body, as his Tier 2 Spellweaver perk engaged, his eyes almost having a glowing quality to them as lightning energy pulsed out from his body in a large enough AOE (Up to 500 ft) To hit his enemies.

If there were any who were fully successfully impacted by the energy wave, they, would likely not only feel the searing energy but feel themselves drained with Strength Drain F after the ordeal.

And regardless if that went off successfully, if he was still capable of acting he’d follow up with a somewhat less powerful Smite attack, where streams of light green lightning shot out from around his body sporadically, targeting everyone in range he could.

It was safe to say during this componentless magic casting that Ryuuji made sure to use selective to ensure that his mistress’s property would not be damaged, nor would any allies that might make their way into the fray if his magic was still going off at that point.

Hopefully, even if all was going as well as it could, the others would get there shortly to the scene to help apprehend the rest of the grave robbers, and get some information out of them.

Magic Circle - when a caster doesn't use the move action in a round they cast spells, recites spell incantation, uses a catalyst in hand, and performs gestures to cast a spell in combat, a full magic circle may appear under them or otherwise near them that enhances the spell's effectiveness by 1. In rounds where their Magic Circle is active, the Caster does not benefit from wearing armor.

Magic Weave - While your magic circle perk from Caster is active and you are casting a C grade magic or greater, the mana immediately around you in the circle takes on the nature of the spell you are casting. Healing spells and buffing spells will also target you as if you were the spell target. Debuff and Damaging spells will act as a hazard and inflict 1 point of damage on any object or creature that comes into contact with you. Effect only lasts so long as Magic Circle remains active or spell duration

Actions:
  1. If able use the following ability on all 5 enemies: Kore Kara Ubercharged Draining Wave- Componentless Magic C, Magic C, Selective C, Magic Area of effect D, Spell Duration F, Precognition F, Drain Strength F, Light Affinity F, Lightning Affinity F - Grade C 3 Post cooldown (Selective on estate property and any would be allies)
Ryuuji peeks into the future some seconds to better react, then quickly releases a strong surge of light and electrical magical energy, often paired with his use of his magic circle and magic weave class perks to damage and weaken target’s strength not protected by selective up to 500 ft away from him in a radial. Effects lasts for up to one hour in RP time, or earlier if canceled.
  1. Let There be Smite!- Componentless Magic D, Magic D, Selective D, Magic Targets F, Magic Range E, Light affinity F, Lightning affinity F - Grade D - 2 Post cooldown.
Ryuuji fires off greenish light lightning bolts to smite up to 5 targets up to 100 ft away from him.

Cooldowns:
F: Yes
E: Yes
D: Yes in Two rounds
C: No lol, on duration until canceled, or quit early.

Lei's glare hardened as Saoirse had answered back to her and poked at her bruises, huffing and rolling her eyes.
"Yeah, yeah, big words for a small wuss, any less of a gifted advantage to you and you'd be so dead... also, stop calling me a cow, it wasn't even funny the first time" she uttered as she sighed at Saoirse's continued comments on how she should 'do things better', quite frankly it felt like anything could be easier if there wasn't some annoying rodent judging and harassing for every little thing someone did. Even more annoyed when Saoirse mentioned how what she was doing barely even counted, she considered the very possible likelihood that some person was probably going to break her face really hard in the future once she overstepped her boundaries with someone who wasn't so kind or humbling.

"Oh yeah yeah, go on all about it, don't be jealous, you can't seem to ever stop talking about them... " Lei would murmur as the rabbit made mention of her mammaries for what she felt like had been quite a few times recently. Not entirely sure what the rabbit's weird problem was, she'd notice Diego trying to join in for absolutely no reason over than what felt like just obsessive annoying attention-seeking from the stupid rodent that he too had apparently accepted as some sort of living deity. Lei could only consider that whatever mental disorder kept Ryuuji, Jastira and Melia thinking such things had to be contagious in some sort of way, though obviously someone as great and powerful as her couldn't be infected by such a disgusting plague.

"At least I speak true about what I do, this guy is clearly making up nonsense. Suffering in the desert's clearly gone to his head, he thinks he's some sort of messiah. Then again, so do a lot of these other cretins... " she'd mumble to herself about his choice of options, wondering how she was considered the egotistical one when she was actually being honest about her attempt of claims. Everyone else here acted like they were some perfect divine gift made for a destined role, of which it felt like she was actually the only one there to be trained or improved for anything. The only one debatably being trained outside of her was probably Melia, and Lei hadn't seen a single ounce of change in her since she first met the dainty little knight.

Though eventually, she'd hear Fenrir and Diego instructed to take her to help with something else, of which she didn't understand why she was being acknowledged as an object nor why she should have a single reason to care. Grumbling and sighing as she stopped her burpees into slowly lying flat face-down on the floor over such a new task, she'd rather just not do it although she'd never hear the end of it considering Saoirse loved to run her mouth. It was Ryuuji, who was probably the least annoying of all the slaves, though still considering whether or not she cared for his life was still feeling like it was leaning towards a no.

"Stop calling me cow, rodent. I'm the least of a wild animal here, complete cretins... " Lei would sigh to herself as she'd very, very reluctantly get up from the flor and even more reluctantly coming along at a sluggish and unmotivated pace.

As she'd join along, she pretty much wouldn't give a single thought to caring about Fenrir's instruction. The people who had their focus on Ryuuji were away from them, clearly the two morons she was with didn't have a single clue on how to actually ambush when they'd be coming from directly infront of their target. There'd be absolutely no difference from just walking up, so that might as well be what she did.

Choosing to ignore all subtlety or planning, she'd hopefully aim to just go ahead and walk straight up with mace in hand. If she'd be allowed to get there in time, she'd blatantly announce herself in speech.
"Alright, lets just get whatever this nonsense is over with. Seriously, groups of idiots love ruining my days... ".

She'd nodded at Fenrir. Both his thoughts on the mansion, its state and its potential and his clever choice to test the washing machine on his own clothing first were scoring well with her. Although she wasn't sure if he was right on the usage for dinnerware. Any luxury dinnerware would need something better whilst the cheap stuff might not be worth such hassle if quick rinsing would suffice. That said, it'd have to wait for later.

There was a lot she wanted to say to Diego. Her dislike of him trying to explain forms of punishment to her, as if she wasn't aware or would need to adjust, the large amount of liberty he took in choosing the time and place to answer her or the many more questions he raised about his previous employ. She'd have had a fair share of complaints and questions, but alas, the current situation was a lot more urgent. Perhaps he'd end up lucky enough for her to have forgotten later.

Cow was equally annoying, though there was little of news there. She'd almost find herself agreeing with the cow regarding Diego, which was slightly concerning. That said, the rest of cow's punishment and training would have to come later.

Grave Robber (F)
peOxwX8.png

As Ryuuji was starting to chant in order to defend himself, making the motions and gestures, he'd realise he was too late to stop the Grave Robber (F) from hitting him. He'd feel a strong force in the back of his neck that was meant to knock him out altogether, yet he managed to somehow stay conscious for long enough to get a spell to go off. It was enough to give them a nasty surprise. That said, he'd not be able to cast anything else for this round (or the next) due to the combination of the enervation effects and nearly having been incapacitated. He would need to either try to move away or to use an attack/ability/skill that didn't rely on magic.

Grave Robber (Generic)
QTEaapv.jpeg

Two of the three Generic men put up a defence against the sudden bright light and electricity. Whilst the Grave Robber (F) had prevented them from being hit by the full brunt of it due to hitting Ryuuji whilst he was casting, the light blinded them temporarily (1 action less this round) and drained their strength. The third wanted to try defend himself, but found himself pulled away...

Grave Robber (M)
SgH507Y.jpeg

As the Grave Robber (M) used the third of the three Generic men as a living shield against Ryuuji's attack. Forcing the latter to take the full brunt and pass out from the heavy impact, whilst he himself remained entirely unharmed. “[Gods, for how girly and innocent he looks, he sure had a nasty spell up his sleeves. Hit him again, before he recovers!]” He barked an order in Terran.

Grave Robber (F)
peOxwX8.png

“[That'd be too hasty.]” She'd state, putting a dagger on Ryuuji's throat. “You, you're around there, no? Surrender or I'll slid his throat!” She called in the direction of where Saoirse had went. Her eyes were also glossing around, trying to see if there were more folk around. Thus far, she might've notice Fenrir, though it didn't seem she'd noticed Diego. Meanwhile, Saoirse would show herself.

Melia Hayward
GYOmdVf.jpg

Melia would stay in front of Saoirse. Just enough to jump in fully, should something happen, not enough to obscure her view. She had her sword and shield ready, though she'd await further orders, unaware of how to handle this with Ryuuji held hostage.

Saoirse Desrosiers

8gBjbx8.png

On the way to this point, she'd have replied to Teti. “I'm not sure, but they'd not be here if they weren't after something of interest and anything of interested to them will be of interest to us as well.”

As she arrived, however, she'd soon see they'd gotten their hands on Ryuuji. The worst possible kidnap option, as he was the one able to actually heal and resurrect all others, should they've been the targets. That said, it looked like the Grave Robbers hadn't noticed all of her group yet. It's why she figured she might as well try to buy some time again... Ryuuji might recover and catch them off guard with Component-less Casting, or the others might surprise them, or... Or the Cow could just march straight at them and ruin any stalling and attempts to distract them.

Grave Robber (F)
peOxwX8.png

“[Well. Fuck...]” Something about her experience told her that this woman wasn't likely to care if she slid the Human boy's throat right then and there. Holding someone hostage wasn't going to cut it, with the situation like that. It seemed her next best option was to get the Lei-Cao herself. Which is what she'd try doing. Teleportingen (E) once more, she'd try strike the Cow from behind by a double-trusted dagger attack (Attack x2 Strength B, Weapon C).

Grave Robber (Generic)
QTEaapv.jpeg

One of the generic looking men, the one that'd been closest to the building, saw Ryuuji was still conscious. Fearing what he might try to do next, he'd head for Ryuuji to try to hammer him down with his shovel, though with reduced strength (Move x1, Attack x2, Strength (C) D, weapon (D) E).

The second generic looking man would look in horror how one of his allies had just been sacrificed by his own boss and how many enemies started to appear, as it looked like he was about to make a run for it.

“Run now and your family will suffer the consequences.” The burly looking man spoke. “Go try hit that rabbit instead.” He ordered.

Clearly in panic, the generic looking robber hesitantly started to head for Saoirse. His shovel raised to go and try hit her, though clearly high unconfident about his ability to actually succeed. Saoirse didn't even flinch, knowing Melia was nearby and knowing the others were at the ready soon.

“I'd suggest you run away to join your family instead. This bastard won't be alive enough to threaten them ever again once we're done with him.” She'd speak (Intimidation C, Persuasion C), which was enough to get the man to run for his life.

Meanwhile, the other group would has also arrived. Fenrir managing to make it to his spot behind the walls, though it seemed the Grave Robber (F) had spotted him and Diego managing to get onto the roof, though with a bit of effort. From this height, it was pretty clear that a careless jump could get him pretty injured, so he'd likely want to weigh out his options well. So far, it seemed he'd gone unnoticed.

Diego stood on the roof, looking at how the fight entails its ugly talons around the group, the fight was hectic, to say the least. Ryuuji wasn't looking good either but it could have been much worse, Diego's position right now was favorable, he could jump at the supposed leader and cut the neck of their leadership, which usually helped in a fight, disorganized folk tended to be stupid but reckless with their choices.
And with him having not been spotted yet he had to use the chance, so he quickly slipped to the other side of the roof and moved quickly to jump towards the one yapping his mouth too much aka Grave Robber M. With him potentially down at least the general guys would go away, and with so many of our guys here fighting one tricky foe would be easy, or at least easier than fighting two at once.

So Diego slipped himself onto the other side of the roof and slid down it jumping off it at the very last second, jumping towards his target, with his Glaive raised high above his head, held with both of his hands ready to swing his Glaive in a swift downward movement towards him, albeit a bit crocked but done so intentionally to affect a bigger area in case the ugly bastard tried to dodge. What comes out of his landing and strike, will soon be realized into reality.
"Try someone bigger for size you toad!" Diego said loudly moments before the impact of his fall and strike, he doubted the fall would do anything to him, even if he rolled to dissipate the force working on him, but he will have to try it.

Having approached the group, she wasn't sure whatever Graverobber (F) had said though didn't expect it to have been anything of major importance. Lei was at least glad this random distraction got her out of the stupidly long burpee training that felt fuelled out of spite more than anything, though she was now having to waste time dealing with something that wasn't her problem. Huffing and sighing softly, she rubbed the bridge of her nose.
"Can you just leave the guy alone and go somewhere else, you're just wasting everyone's time... " the minotaur murmured, though being caught off-guard once the graverobber had abruptly teleported. Unsure what they were planning or where they had went, such a thing was reminding her of the annoyance that came with the invisible thief back in the weapon store.

"Ugh... by Chaos' Hand, be smited by thee... " she'd grumble, gripping her mace with both hands as she intended to try and invoke the power of her beliefs in Chaos to aid with her attack, and simply hope she could blindly hit her target assuming they would attack her. The others she were with were cowering and hiding anyway.

"Face death," she'd mutter, as she swung her mace in a wide arc. If it went correctly, her weapon would find itself imbued with burning flames sourced from the depths of chaos. That being said, she'd probably not be feeling very Energized afterwards... probably due to a system update feeling of disinterest and laziness.

Fenrir watched intently as Diego positioned himself with agile precision atop one of the buildings, preparing to launch himself down onto an unsuspecting grave robber. The boldness in Diego’s maneuver spoke to a certain bravery Fenrir could appreciate. There was a latent respect in his gaze—a respect earned by a daring plan that blended audacity with strategy.

However, his eyes drifted to Lei-Cao, who had taken a decidedly different approach. The Minotaur charged directly toward the assailants, her heavy steps resounding through the clearing. Bold, yes, but reckless—she seemed to embody both qualities in equal measure. A sigh of resignation escaped Fenrir as he watched her unabashedly barrel toward the group, her every move inviting trouble. If her brazen approach bore fruit, all the better; but if her actions led to yet another setback, it would be a consequence borne by her own hand.

Just as one of the grave robbers raised his shovel high, aiming to strike Ryuuji, Fenrir sprang from his concealed position, his powerful legs releasing a surge of coiled energy. In one swift, fluid movement, he closed the distance in an instant, his body flashing toward his target. His voice boomed with a commanding growl, “No damaging the mistress’ property!” The words carried a fierce authority, his protective instincts flaring with the intensity of his loyalty.

Both of Fenrir's swords arced down in unison, crossing in a precise X-slash as he targeted the grave robber, his eyes sharp and unwavering as he prepared to land his strike.

Actions:
1 - Approached the generic grave robber attacking Ryuuji with: Blitz Fang - Fast F, Energized F - Using his bestial wolf capabilities, Fenrir is able to cross 40ft of distance in a single action - Grade F - 0 Post Cooldown.
2 - Basic attack against the generic grave robber (Strength D + Weapon E = 5BE)
3 - Basic attack against the generic grave robber (+ 1 combo = 6BE)

Today really must not have been Lei's day from the punishments that she had been given to now this, yeah not her day. Still Teti did hope she would provide a good meat shield that would let the others deal with these strange grave robbers. Teti didn't plan on going and fighting unless ordered too. The butler wolf seemed more willing to do the fighting, and well Teti wasn't going to argue to stop him. A wolf man in a fancy suit going to brawl with some ruffians seemed oddly correct . Really Teti planned to stay back and play guard with Melia if at all possible. Their mistress had always managed to talk one of the grave robbers into just leaving, but the issue was that woman.

" I really need to learn to make tea " Teti commented not actually all that worried for the other. Well one of them was hostage, but he doubted that the others could not handle this. He really just felt that right now watching the others work while he served their mistress tea would be about as fitting as their brawling wolfman butler. Though Teti was thinking about how he should fight if things went south. What was most important and how far he was willing to go. he wasn't what Lei thought he was by any means and in truth weighed the pros and cons of his actions. The main question was , was earning favor by this action worth whatever he had to do to get them? The answer was normally yes a little playing around and keeping the mistress happy was worth it. This however was a fight and that could mean someone could target Saoirse and him being her maid meant he should be willing to take the hit for her. Was possible injury wroth the points he would gain?

" If thing get bad and you need to head out i'll protect our lady " Teti said to Melia not having answered the question in his mind, but well it never hurt to look confidant and devoted. The question was was he, was her really going to do what he said if it meant risking himself?

He had a bad feeling it wasn't going to be quick enough, not when using more advanced magic required the more explicit gestures, a much less stealthy process to say the least, so when he got hit in the neck hard, he grimaced feeling his head get knocked hard as a result, pain radiating throughout. Even more fun was that the fighting style Grave Robber F was using a fighting style where he had been hit in such a way that his magic usage had been thrown into a tizzy of sorts, as he felt immediately after it wasn't feeling right and if he tried it was just going to fizzle out.

Better yet he had a blade at his neck while the others were arriving. And then of course Lei Cao arrived on scene with no care in the world, fitting she'd be the reason he'd get his throat slit, after all he'd try to do to warn her and encourage her too so that she'd be useful..surprisngly he didn't find his neck being slit when she showed up, instead the relatively strong graverobber went off to attack Lei Cao. Maybe he'd have to thank her later for being so..uncaring and ready to fight.

This freed him up considerably, as he had to move through throbbing pain, and unfortunately with his magic limited he only had so many moves as an assailant approached him with a shovel, thankfully his prior spell hadn't been for nothing as it had negatively impacted the hostiles around him, Diego came down from the roof in a really risky move in order to harm the cowardly boss and Fenrir came rushing to attack the guy who had been trying to attack Ryuuji in very short notice.

So with the limited time he had Ryuuji winced and activated his Precognition F to get a quicker defense going with his Light Armor E, which he attempted to block the blow with simultaneously, before moving 20 or so ft to the right so that Fenrir acted as a barrier between him and the enemy. Ryuuji was then going to get ready to get his bow up and running so he could try shooting some of these criminals if he had too.

Ryuuji Actions:
1 And 2: Precognition F + Light Armor E block wombo combo to block grave robber attack.
3. Move 20 ft the way shown on map:

The first action taken was by the Cow trying to (half-heartedly) defend herself. (Attack = 5 + 4 = 9, combo + 1 = 10) vs. (Cow 3 + 2 + 2, lucky +1, combo intimidate +1 = 9). Somehow, the cow got lucky enough for the mace to strike the daggers, before the daggers could strike her. The two attacks effectively cancelling one another out and therefore avoiding anything else (modifiers) from happening.

Grave Robber (F)

“Tssk. [Bitch.]” She grumbled, upon seeing her attempt to quickly take out the Cow fail. The force had send her back a bit, but otherwise, she still seemed fine. That said, seeing the reinforcements, she'd quickly [Teleport E] onto the roof she'd just seen Diego jump from, staring down to try estimate the situation and their chances, though also taking something out of a pocket and holding it at the ready.

Diego managed to land safely, though he was unable to hit the man upon landing. That said, the follow-up attack packed a bit more of a punch by affecting the nearby area, forcing the Grave Robber (M) try dodge... only to be grazed by the glaive's area effect, tearing up some of his clothing and causing his voluminous stomach to bleed from an superficial yet lengthy cut. “[Gods curse you... blasted...]” He mumbled, grabbing his stomach.

“Fine, fine, stop, stop. Let's talk this out like civilised folk, no? Surely you're here for the same goals, no?” He asked, raising up one hand whilst the other kept grabbing hold of his stomach. It was clear he knew he was going to be on the loosing side.

(Attack x2 Strength (C) D, Weapon (D) E = 5, + 1 combo = 6 vs. Ryuuji Speed D, Armour E, Ability F = 6 + 1 from precognition = 7) The man had swung his shovel (from previous post) and ended up missing Ryuuji by a hair, as Ryuuji had been able to predict its direction well enough to get out fast.

The miss wasn't something the generic dude could think about for too long, as he was forced to turn around to face Fenrir going after him. He had to quickly turn around to try defend against the incoming Wolfman. Using the same attack he'd swung his shovel at Ryuuji with (Attack x2 Strength (C) D, Weapon (D) E = 5, + 1 combo = 6) he managed to barely counter the Wolf. That said, it was pretty clear that the reinforcements had made him change his mind about this whole ordeal, as he'd use his last and final action to try and run (Fast F) for his life.

Grave Robber (M)

“[Useless fucking cowards...]” The burly man would grumble, upon seeing the last of his disposable henchmen run off, whilst the expensive hired hand seemed currently ready to flee as well, having already gone to a strategic-to-retreat-from position.

“Which one of you is in charge then? If it's just the graves you're after, we've got to disappoint. There were no valuables in them whatsoever. You can check our pockets or something to confirm it.” He stated, as he took a few steps back from everyone. His eyes glossing around, clearly trying to figure out how to get out of this situation.

Saoirse Desrosiers

Teti's remark was so sudden that it actually made her chuckle a bit. “That would be a maid essential as much as a butler one. You could challenge one another to see who's able to make it best.” She'd reply. She did overhear what he said next, which made her squint her eyes a bit. “Would you now?” She'd ask, curious if it were real. “Though, as we are, it seems I'd be more likely to protect you. I can't have my future maid be harmed before said maid even gets to settle into the role, no? There's a lot of maid-related skills and talents that you've yet got to develop and show me, after all.” She'd reply, as she wasn't against expressing that she held no explicit expectation of Teti risking life and limb for her and that she had no need for pretending it was as such either. The thought was nice, of course, but alas, she was rather sceptical of anyone other than Melia saying such things truthfully.

That said, the scene in front of her needed some attention. Actually... this was an amazing training opportunity. “Teti, how about you see if you can try get that one on the roof to join our side. I'll allow you promising her some money if bribery is needed. See if you can work that silver tongue of yours. Jastira, go check up on Ryuuji and be at the ready to assist Teti.” She'd ask of the two.

Then she'd look at the Fenrir, Diego and Cow. “Make sure the bastard doesn't get away!” She'd call out to them, not feeling inclined to talk to such an ugly and obnoxious and rude creature. She'd rather let her slaves deal with him. “Make him drop all he's got on him and check his pockets. Let's see if we can figure out why he's here.” She'd add, leaving it up to the slaves themselves to see how they'd make it happen. She wasn't against allowing them to use some... creative thinking, so to say.

She'd do as told, though keeping a wary eye on the woman on the roof whilst heading for Ryuuji. “Ehm... are you alright?” She'd ask. He didn't look all that 'alright' but she had no means of helping him.

Meanwhile, Saoirse would drag out the cow's armour from somewhere. “Lei-Cao, put it back on, in case there might be more of them.” She'd call out, not wanting to risk a second group of grave robbers incoming without them being prepared. Especially after two of them were running off and might inform allies of theirs. “Ryuuji, once you're better, you're allowed to heal Lei-Cao as well.” She'd add, as punishment was currently less important than increasing their odds in case of a second fight. She'd noticeably use the cows name, as she was at least somewhat satisfied by Lei-Cao being able to defend off the attack, even half-heartedly. It meant she'd not been wrong about the cow having a lot of potential to flourish. She'd just need to figure out how to bring it out more.

On the topic of bringing stuff out... “You sure know how to stick a landing.” She'd compliment Diego, as his jump had been pretty impressive. “With some proper guidance, I'm sure we could turn that into a very powerful lunge attack.” She'd state, visualising the motions (Mentor C) she could try teach him at some point.

The same went for Fenrir. “Remind me to see if I can help you use that second sword more efficiently later.” She'd add, imagining how more [Linked] it could be with (Mentor C) compared to his current abilities. “Otherwise, well done protecting my property.” Honestly, her rabbit heart had surely skipped a beat in joy when he got so fierce about protecting her property. That was a bloody good boy she'd gotten her hands on for real.

All in all, she was in a pretty good mood, despite the fact she was in just an oversized shirt, wished for a bath and had just caught robbers on her property before she could even enter it properly.

“Well done.” She'd nod towards her fellow slaves, surprised that the butler had some combat powers and even more surprised by Diego just jumping off a two story building out of the blue. “It'd be an honour and pleasure if the two of you would be willing to train and teach me later, under the mistress' supervision.” She'd add. Then turning to the bloated man. “After we deal with this one, of course.”
