Jamie smiled widely at her and watched Eddie go upstairs. He looked at Carmen and gave her a small salute "I promise you that I will personally keep track of him. We've also made it known that this is a clean tour, no booze or drugs." He explained to her.

She thanked him and nodded, taking lilah off of Eddie when they got back down there, smiling a little. “She’s looking more like you by the minute.” She smiled some, getting dinner finished and finally siting down with them once likah was asleep again

Max sat at the coffee shop giving a small smile when she saw Jeff come in. They'd now been seeing eachother for a month atleast now and while Max enjoyed his company a lot, part of her still felt guilty for moving on. She had tried her best to keep at some distance and to not rush into things, but she was getting the feeling that Jeff was wanting more.

Eddie sat at his hotel room in LA smiling widely as he heard the door open. He got up to greet Lita and pulled her into a hug "Good morning." He murmured before kissing her gently. Things had gone from friends to more shortly after Lilah came home. Carmen had been so withdrawn from him lately and he just fell into it with Lita because she knew all the right things to say. Now she was here with him on tour for next few shows while Carmen stayed at home with the baby.

Carmen was gently bouncing lilah while she paced around Jess and Drew’s kitchen to soothe her and get her to relax a little while Jess made them some tea, wiping at her eyes. “I just… I know he cares about her and I trust that Jamie would tell me if he was off doing drugs again but im just worried about him. Eddie forgets to ring back sometimes but for two days? That’s not normal.” She told her frowning.

He waved and headed over to get their coffees, smiling as he saw Grace wriggling around in a high chair, eventually making his way over to them with the tray and sat down. “Sorry. Got distracted with a job on the computer.” He smiled. “You have a good day yesterday?” He asked as he hadn’t heard from her at all which had been unusual.

Max smiled softly as Grace waved at him when he sat down "Oh that's alright. Yeah we had a good day, just sat around at the house." she said before taking her coffee and sipping at it "How was your day?"

Jess frowned deeply, her back turned to Carmen as she made some tea for her. "I'm sure he is okay, maybe just exhausted from the shows." she said softly trying to calm her friend. In actuality she had figured out right before he left what was happening. She had caught him and Lita in the alleyway of the bar sucking eachother's faces off. While she normally would tell her what was happening, she knew Carmen was in too fragile of a state right now to be told that.

He smiled and nodded. “Good. Yeah it was just busy. Getting audition tapes sent out, meetings with my agent. All the fun stuff that comes with my work.” He smiled at her. He was falling head over heels for this woman and he adored her little girl too but every time he tried to get closer she stopped him and he was trying to stop from prying but it was starting to get difficult.

She frowned but nodded, sighing a little as she set lilah in her carrier. “You’re right. I just…. You know I love you Jess and I can’t ever repay you for everything you’ve done for us but it’s just… nice to talk to someone who gets the worry about lilah in the same way. You know what I mean?” She frowned, chewing on her lip. “I know I’m always gonna worry.”

Max smiled and gave a small nod "Oh I hope those tapes come back for you." She said sweetly. She had never guessed he was an actor but she liked that he was as straight as they came with the law. She bit her lip gently when he asked about maybe getting dinner and shook her head some "Oh um...no I can't I don't have a babysitter for Grace."

Jess turned around and gave her a sympathetic smile "I know honey, and you keep taking care of her the way you are she will be just fine." She assured her before handing her the tea "I'm sure he'll work through whatever is happening."

She sighed but nodded, changing the subject after that to ask about the boys and try to enjoy spending ti w with Jess without worrying about Eddie.

Jamie frowned, watching Eddie and this girl get more and more comfortable being touchy feely around the others, shaking his head and sending Carmen a message to let her know Eddie was okay but just busy and he was trying to encourage him to call her, “Ed. Can you please call Carmen before she makes herself ill with worry?” He asked him, clenching his jaw at the way Lita scoffed.

He frowned and sighed a little, rubbing a hand through his hair. “Have I done something wrong?” He asked her frowning “or am I being ridiculous thinking there’s something here between us? Cause if you’re not interested then that’s fine but I’d like to know now before we take this too far and I’ve had the wrong idea the whole time.” He muttered a little.

Eddie sighed heavily as Jamie tried to get him to call Carmen "Alright, alright I'll call her." He murmured before stepping out to dial her "Hey beautiful, I'm so sorry about not calling. Been super busy and tired."

Max frowned and shook her head immediately "No no, Jeff you're great. Honestly you've done nothing wrong at all. It's just..." she paused biting her lip hard before giving a heavy sigh "I'm a widow.....my husband, Grace's father, he died about 8 months ago now." She explained watching him some "I like you a lot, I do feel something there. I just, its been difficult for me, I feel guilty in a way for moving on."

Carmen sighed in relief “Hey, no you’re good I was just worried. Lilahs been poorly and I just was… anyway, how’s it all going? Is it nice being back?” She smiled a little.

He frowned and shook his head. “Hey hey, don’t panic alright. I’m sorry to hear that.,.. I’m not trying to pressure you sweetheart. Not at all, I just wanted to know if I’m being delusional but if it’s just that I have to be patient, let you take your time with everything. I can do that.” He assured her

Eddie gave a small smile when he heard Lilah gurgling in the background "Yeah its been great. The crowds have been packed, I would have never thought we'd have this many fans come back to see us." He said before rubbing the back of his neck "How are you?"

Max looked at him in a bit of shock but gave a wide smile "You are something else." She said softly before reaching over and squeezing his hand "Thank you for understanding." She murmured before sipping her drink "So tell me about the auditions, what were they for?"

She smiled some. “I’m alright. Oh I have something for you for when you get home. Cause I know things have been busy and we just haven’t had the time with each other.” She murmured. “I’ll let you get on Ed but I just wanted to talk to you and let you know I love you and I hope everything’s going well. Who knows, if you get to do another one of these next time likah will be big enough to come.” She smiked.

He smiled and watched her, offering to bounce Grace when she was getting fidgety and he explained what he was going for. “If I get one of the parts I’m gonna be gone in Canada for a couple months.” He told her. “But obviously I don’t know if it’s gonna happen yet.”

Eddie smiled happily and gave a nod "I love you too beautiful. Give Lilah all the love for me okay?" He murmured softly before telling her goodbye right as Lita came out "Hey." He said softly starting to feel his guilt about their affair rise in him.

Max smiled some seeing Grace comfortable with him. "Canada huh? That sounds like it could be fun." She murmured as she watched him.

She smiled and stepped over to him. “Hey, everyone’s gone to do their own thing until sound check later. Jamie said he wanted to talk to you though. You okay? You look stressed babe.” She murmured

He nodded and sighed. “I’m thinking about how cold it’s probably gonna be.” He grumbled a little.

Eddie nodded and sighed softly "Yeah, Lilah has been a little sick. Carmen has probably been stressed about it." He explained frowning as she scoffed a bit. She had only gone off about Carmen once and he had shut it down on the spot, while he was having fun with Lita, Carmen was the one he still loved.

Max laughed lightly and nodded "Yeah I bet that won't be fun, you're from Washington though right? Are winters there not bad?"

She frowned and rolled her eyes a little. “They wouldn’t have let her go home if she wasn’t going to be okay.” She pointed out, heading back inside with him and went to their room to go get cleaned up for the day while Eddie left to see Jamie.

He chuckled a little and shook his head. “Why do you think I left Washington?” He pointed out. “I’m not built for the cold… this one ever seen snow?” He asked her, nodding to Grace while she wriggled to get back to her mom, passing her over.

Eddie went to Jamie's room a gave three quick knocks to the door. He gave a smile when he opened a minute later "Hey man, Lita said you wanted to talk to me?"

Max laughed softly and took Grace back into her arms "No she hasn't, I mean she is only a year old, but we've never left the state." She explained before sighing a bit "We had talked about moving before....before everything happened, but obviously that has not happened."

He frowned and watched her. “What… what did happen?” He asked her carefully not wanting to push her at all but curious.

Jamie nodded and let him in, shutting the door, watching him sit down. “Yeah… yeah I do,… what the fuck are you doing?” He questioned him.

Max frowned deeply and took a deep breath "He uh...he got in a motorcycle accident." She said quietly before taking another of sip her drink as she made sure to keep her composure "So, where is one place you would like to live if it wasn't California?"

Eddie went into the room and sat down in the rolling chair, kicking his legs up on the desk and leaning back. "What do you mean?" He asked trying to not have this conversation but he knew it was about Lita.

He shrugged. “East coast is nice. Like Virginia. Pretty open spaces. Fall is gorgeous there. Nice big plot of land to have some animals and a place away from the hustle.” He smiled a little. “Not that… yknow I’ve ever thought about it.” He chuckled.

He shook his head. “Don’t give me that shit. You got a girl at home and a beautiful little girl plus a son that you’re this close to having full time and you’re risking it all for some good digging whore?” He spat. “Who may I remind you is your girlfriends childhood best friend?!”

Max laughed lightly and smiled wide "Sounds beautiful from what you've said. We talked about possibly moving to New Mexico. I remember taking a ride through there when we were young and it was so gorgeous." She explained

Eddie sighed heavily and ran a hand over his face "Things aren't the same between us.....its like she doesn't talk to me anymore. I don't know what the fuck to do. Lita talked to me, let me vent, and now we're fucking here."

Jamie frowned and stared at him in shock. “Are you aware that she’s fucking oblivious to this? She has no idea what your problem is.” He muttered. “You do what you like Ed but don’t come fucking complaining to me when you lose everything this time” he muttered, having him leave, chatting with Carmen on and off the rest of the day until sound check.

Jeff smiled some, glancing at the time. “Shit you needed to be gone by 12;30 didn’t you?” He asked seeing it was right at 12;27. “Hey, let me know if you’re up for dinner tomorrow night and if you can’t find a babysitter then why don’t I come over and make us something?”

Eddie sighed and left after that not going back to the room but wandering around to think about things. He found his way back to Lita about an hour before sound check "Hey...listen I think we need to talk after tonight's show." He murmured quietly to her.

Max went wide eyed at the time and nodded "Oh shit, yeah I gotta head out." She said as she quickly got Grace's diaper bag put together. She smiled some at his option and gave a small nod "I think coming over would be best. I know right now I wouldn't be able to find a sitter." She explained before getting up and giving him a quick peck on his cheek "I'll talk with you later to iron out the details."

She frowned and sighed a little but nodded and started getting ready to head out, taking a few photos for her socials, smirking a little once they arrived at the venue later seeing Carmen had liked the posts and told her to have fun on her vacation.

Carmen facetimed Eddie again the following morning after a night of no sleep, smiling when he answered on the third ring for once, seeing how exhausted he looked. “Hey handsome…. We thought we’d call and say good morning and hope the show went great.” She murmured, Lilah propped up against the pillows next to her and trying to reach for Eddie through the phone.

Jeff had been texting her through the rest of the day but mostly leaving her to it and was now in the grocery store after confirming that she couldn’t get a babysitter, getting stuff to make max dinner tonight.

Eddie gave a small smile when he answered the phone "Hey...yeah its been an exhausting run. I'm not used to this anymore." He said with a small laugh "Oh hey there princess, Daddy misses you." He said as he watched her try to come to him.

Max was cleaning up the house trying to makw sure everything was nice when Jeff got there. She left most of the toys untouched, knowing Grace would most likely take them out again, but all the surfaces were now cleaned. She smiled happily when she heard the door go and quickly made sure Grace was strapped into her little chair before answering "Hey there, come in come in."
