Realistic or Modern Put It Into Speed Drive

She stood and took the carrier with her, heading out of there with Eddie. “What time is your appointment with the lawyer?” She asked him. On top of the stress with Lilah she knew he had been pushing still for full custody of Ozzy. Between that and his old band members asking him to come back for a reunion tour that he had agreed to they just hadn’t had much time for themselves lately. She didn’t see the issue at all though, unaware that he did.

She smiked and nodded. “It’s no problem at all. Plus if I have someone with me when I do groceries I end up buying a lot less junk. How’s it going getting back to work now?” She asked her

Eddie gave a heavy sigh and groaned "Fuck I forgot about that, its at three." He muttered looking at his phone seeing he still had a bit of time. He gave a small smile seeing Jamie had texted him the schedule for the tour officially. He was excited to get back out and do a reunion tour, having not played in so long it was going to be fun to be on a stage again.

Max gave a small laugh and smiled faintly "Its been good, I've finally got a schedule down with Grace to where I can edit and watch her." She explained before biting her bottom lip nervously "I think I'm going to sell the house..."

She nodded and frowned a little. “You gonna stay in town or fresh start?” She asked her. “I’m not gonna tell you not to. It’s killing you being stuck in there.” She pointed out.

She smiled and gave his hand a squeeze. “If you drop us off at home on the way there you’ll still be on time.” She smiked. “I got her for a little while.” She promised, getting her carrier buckled into the car and getting in the front with Eddie. “I feel like I’m stealing her.” She giggled a little with excitement

Max nodded and gave a heavy sigh "A fresh start, I think I need to get away from here. Its just too much to be here." She explained to her

Eddie chuckled softly and smiled widely "I know huh? Its a bit odd being able to take her, but I'm so happy." He said leaning over to kiss her cheek before turning on the car "I'll call you when I'm leaving the lawyer's alright?"

She nodded. “Do it. We will miss you tons and you are always welcome here or at the club … but you do what is best for you and Grace.” She smiked at her supportively. “Ed and Carmen are slowly moving away from the club as well. Done them a world of good.” She told her

She nodded and smiled at him some. “Sounds good. I’m thinking we get pizza tonight. So we don’t have to stress about cooking.”

Max nodded in agreement and smiled some "I promise to call and text when I can." She said as they pulled into the parking lot for the store. She got Grace in a cart quickly and made her way inside with Jess.

Eddie nodded with a smile "Thats sounds like a plan." He murmured while he thought over everything that was happening "I can't wait for Ozzy to come by and see her. I know he'll be so excited to hold her outside of the hospital."

She smiled and glanced back, keeping an eye on her the rest of the way home, pecking eddies cheek as she jumped out the car, taking the carrier inside and waving from the door while she watched him drive off. “Right. He’ll be back in a little bit.” She spoke to lilah, getting the front door open and headed inside. “And here we are princess. Home sweet home.” She smiked.

She had started walking around with max until her phone rang with the schools number and she left to go out the front to take the call, Grace starting to get more thab a little fidgety by that point. It wasn’t long before she was crying and getting frustrated at being stuck in a shopping cart.

Eddie got to the lawyers office earlier that he had planned and gave a small smile deciding to call Lita in his spare time. "Hey beautiful, how are you doing?" He asked sweetly down the line.

Max frowned as Grace started to get fussy and gave a small sigh "Grace, darling its okay. We gotta get food for the house so we can eat yeah?" She said in a soothing voice but frowned as she continued to fuss. Eventually she pulled her out of the cart hoping that could calm her down but it did nothing. Soon enough Grace was in a full blown meltdown and Max was starting to break as well.

Lita smiled as she sat in her apartment getting ready for work. “Hey, I’m just getting ready for work, did you get likah home finally?” She asked him, not even mentioning Carmen. It hadn’t been her intention to move in on Eddie but things just worked out that way. “It’s a shame you’re away for the next few months. Jess isn’t as nice a manager as you are.” She pouted a little, knowing full well Jess didn’t like her because she was suspicious of her.

Jeff was getting his food shopping done when he turned down the aisle to see a woman with a screaming toddler in tow, smiling sympathetically but not saying anything up until he noticed the little girl had dropped her blanket on the floor in the chaos, trying to catch up to them in another aisle. “Hey miss, hey, hey she dropped her blanket.” He smiled, holding it out to the woman, chuckling as the little girl snatched it out of his hands and soon stopped screaming, holding it tightly. “That thing must be magic huh?@ he smiled at them both

Eddie gave a small chuckle and nodded "Yeah she is home now. I'm at the lawyers waiting for my appointment." He murmured before smiling a bit "Oh Jess isn't that bad, plus remember you'll be at my show here so we can see eachother."

Max looked at the man with worn out eyes and smiled faintly "Oh thank you so much, yeah she loves it." She said giving a small laugh as Grace started babbling at the man "Is that right? Can you say thank you to this nice man?" She asked laughing slightly again when a 'Tank ooo' was said to him

He smiled at them both and nodded at the little girl. “I’m Jeff by the way.” He told her, “you just got the one?” He asked.

Lita nodded. “I know I know. Just makes it difficult yknow. She watched like a hawk.” She muttered. “I better get going or I’m gonna be late but you still wanna go get some dinner tomorrow?” She asked him.

Max nodded as she looked up at the man "I'm Max. Yeah just the one, all I need I think. How about you? You have any?" She asked softly surprised she was actually entertaining this conversation. These days she was trying her best to not speak to anyone other than Jess.

Eddie nodded and sighed a bit "Yeah I'll try, I'll let you know if I can, really depends on how Lilah is doing." He said softly to her

She nodded and smiled. “Sounds good handsome. I’ll see you at some point this week if I don’t see you tomorrow.” She smiked, hanging up.

Carmen was curled up on the couch, wiping her eyes a little and just staring at lilah while she napped when Eddie got home, “we’re in the lounge.” She called to him, looking up when he walked in. “Hey how’d it go?” She asked, wiping her eyes one more time and trying to compose herself.

He smiled and shook his head. “Oh no, never got around to it. Just got a couple dogs instead. You from around here?” He asked. He wasn’t usually one for striking up a conversation but something about her was intriguing hjm

Eddie got home a few hours later after the meeting. He walked into the lounge and frowned some seeing her wipe at her eyes "Hey, whats wrong? Everything okay?" He asked softly as he went to sit by her.

Max nodded and smiled "Yeah born and raised. I left for a while but came back about 3 years ago now." She explained "You?"

He shook his head "No just.... Tired of the big city, came for a quieter life." He told her, "Listen I don't wanna keep you when little one is clearly grumpy and I hope I'm not being too forward but could I give you my number?" He asked her.

Carmen shook her head a little, "She's fine she just was coughing a little and I started panicking and I just.... When does this stop? I know they wouldn't have sent her home if she wasn't going to be safe but she sneezes or coughs and I freak out." She told him frowning,

Max looked at him a bit of shock but gave a nod of her head "Yeah..sure..here." she said as she fumbled around to get her phone. She handed it over and smiled softly "I'll uh, I'll call you." She murmured before saying goodbye and heading off to finish up her shopping.

Eddie went over to her and gave a small sigh "It's going to take time, but it will eventually pass once she gets bigger. It's gonna be hard, somedays better than others, but we've got eachother here for it." He murmured before kissing the side of her head repeatedly.

She nodded slowly and frowned "I don't think I can bring her to your show... And i'm not leaving her without both of us here... I'm gonna have to miss this one out Ed I'm sorry." She told him frowning, "If Lita wasn't on holiday while it's happening I'd send her to enjoy it instead." She sighed, giving his hand a squeeze, noticing Lilah waking up again and went to go sort her a bottle after seeing the time.

Jess caught up to her shortly after and frowned "Sorry about that. Nate is acting up at the moment. He's got to that age where he's realising what his Dad does for a living and he's not so happy about it." She sighed a little, "You okau? You look a little dazed." She noted

Eddie nodded some and held her close to him "Thats alright babe, I want you both comfortable more than anything." He murmured smiling as Lilah started to wake up. He got up and took her out of thr carrier smiling wide at her "Hey there princess, you ready to eat? Momma is getting that bottle made up for you."

Max looked at Jess as she came over and jumped slightly as she got out of her daze "Huh? Oh yeah sorry, I uh....I just got a guy's number." She said still in a bit of shock "So Nate is having problems?"

She got it done and took her from Ed to feed her, sitting back on the couch and trying to relax a little more.

Jess just stared at her for a minute but nodded. “Well… maybe you need to get out more often if that happens that quickly.” She teased her, finishing up the groceries and dropping max off at home before going straight to work, frowning at Lita some. “What are you looking so happy about?” She asked, raising an eyebrow.

Jeff sat at home later that evening having just had his dinner and was watching tv when his phone pinged, glancing down and smiling seeing it was the woman from the store.

Lita looked at Jess and corrected herself "Huh? Oh everything is good, just having a good day." She said sweetly before getting behind the bar thinking about Eddie.

Max had been staring at the number for hours, contimplating on if she should do anything. She took a deep breath before finally pressing dial "Hello? Is this Jeff?" She asked softly when she heard him answer

Jess nodded and frowned a little, never quite trusting her.

Carmen was stood in the kitchen sorting them out some dinner with Lilah in her carrier on the table so she could keep an eye on her when the front door went, calling for Eddie to get it, eventually hearing a familiar voice at the door but unsure where she knew it from until it came in and she glanced into the hall and just stood staring a little at Jamie.

Jeff smiled a little "The one and only, I was beginning to think I'd left a bad impression." He chuckled a little, "How's the rest of your day been?" He asked her, pausing the TV

Eddie looked over at Carmen when she poked her head out of the kitche and smiled widely. He led Jamie towards the kitchen giving a small chuckle "She is gonna flip out man." He said happily while they turned the corner "Hey babe, I got someone I want you to meet."

Max laughed lightly and shook her head "No no, you didn't make a bad impression at all." She said softly still not sure what she was actually doing "Oh my day went well, got my shopping done without anymore tantrums. How has yours gone?"

He smiled and nodded a little. “Good good. Yeah it was alright. I’m home for once so was just getting jobs done I usually would never get to.” He smiled. “Would you uh, would you like to go for coffee sometime?” He asked her.

She smiled wide, shaking her head a little. “I can’t believe you would invite him over, not tell me and then I meet him looking like I fell through a hedge backwards. Carmen… nice to meet you.” She smiked to Jamie, hearing likah start fussing but before she could even move Eddie was on it. “Are you staying for dinner Jamie?” She asked him, too tired to not be calm and composed even if she was freaking out internally.

Max went a bit wide eyed and bit her lip hard "Uh...um yeah coffe would be nice." She said softly talkimg for a few minutes more and setting up a time to meet before hanging up. She frowned deeply as she saw a photo of her and Jon on the side table feeling a bit guilty about going out with another man.

Jamie smiled sweetly at her while Eddie tended to the baby "Oh there is no need to apologize love, you look beautiful." He said to her before shaking her hand "Well if you'd have me I'd love to stay, but I don't want to be of any bother." He said before laughing lightly as Eddie said for him to stop being so polite "Hey now, you may be the man of the house, but I know who wears the pants and Carmen is the one who decides since she is cooking."

She blushed more and glanced over at Eddie. “He can stay whenever he likes.” She laughed as he rolled his eyes. “I got more than enough made.” She told him, going back to it, noticing Eddie take likah upstairs for a diaper change and sighed. “Jamie… please make sure he behaves on this tour. I don’t mean girls I mean the drugs…. He’s so close to getting custody but I know how stressed he is and I worry he’s gonna have a slip up.” She sighed a little.
