The two guards were exasperated at his suggestion. "Why you...!!" the one in red especially didn't take that nicely. A Magic circle appeared on his palm as he recited the Old Tongue, and flame started to appear from within the circle. However, the High Priest held his right hand up, a sign to tell them to comply.

"But, High Priest!"

"It's okay. Believe in me," he said reassuringly. The two looked at each other with doubt, but they finally decided to follow the High Priest's order and left them. Before closing the oak door, they bowed toward the High Priest.

"Am I too young, now? Many people said that, haha," he chuckled. This stranger sure look confident, even when he was standing in front of the High Priest. "Now, what do you want to say, child?" He asked Roman once more.

He only smirked at the man in red as he tried to start a fight and was slightly disappointed that the High Priest made him stand down. "Well you dont look much older then me anyway" he sat down in one of the chairs and got comfortable. "Im guessing that you have seen her which is slightly surprising she normally stays out of sight of her target she must like you or find you interesting...hmmm perhaps she is getting sloppy" he ended up trailing off for a moment then shook his head. "anyway have you been attacked recently?" he asked leaning foreword a bit.

Arthur kept his smile while watching the man. It was more like a natural expression of his. Even when he didn't think that he was smiling, people would told him that he was. It became some kind of inside joke in the church. He had a suspicion of what this man was talking about, but didn't want to make premature conclusion just yet.

"Attacked? Whatever do you mean? As you can see, I am sitting here before you, alive and breathing," he replied calmly. "Although I'm sure that some people would hold resentment toward my position, personally I don't feel that I have any enemy. Oh..."

He suddenly remembered the incident on the parade. "If it fits as an attack...there was a needle shot at me when I was on stage yesterday. There is no harm done, but it got me curious."

Listening he was really confused with such a strong appoint and a group she would of tried something. what he said next sounded more like her "that sounds like her...she was most likely just getting a feel for you" he nodded to him self then leaned back. "she knew you would doge it or something and even if you didnt she would of aimed for a nonlethal spot" he stood up and stretched before moving the chair around so he could lean on the back of it wile he looked at the priest. "there is a high possibility that she will strike you when you least expect it.. knowing her it would be in a few nights so you forget what happened on the stage."

People would usually be worried if they learned of such dangerous threat, but Arthur stayed unaffected. His words remained calm and collected. "As much as I believe your words, my child, I assure you that it'll be okay. I believe that the Three Deities will protect me. We have dealt with these kinds of threat in the past and everything can be solved if we have a nice chat. Father Lancaster, who had shown you the way here, is a good example."

He leaned closer to Roman, a bit too close on his personal space. "I am grateful that you're concerned about us. Would you like to join our church? The Three Deities will surely show you the way to happiness."

Roman was slightly creeped out by how calm this man was when his life was in danger, then as he got closer he started to get nervous himself. "im sorry but I am happy with what I, do the calm life of priest is just not for me" he got up and moved the chair back to were it was. "now that I worned you I can sleep at night knowing that the Red Fang wont be able to complete this job" he chuckled as he tuned to the priest.

"Again, thank you for your concern," Arthur replied with a smile. He wasn't afraid of the slightest. After all, the Six Guards stand firm to protect him. No one could manage to best them all quickly, not to mention from what he'd gathered from Roman's information, the assailant would be alone. There's nothing to worry.

He called the two guards from before to give Roman some parting gift and escort him out politely.

The day passed on...

=================

The sun had finally disappeared in the horizon, and time kept ticking away. It will soon be the time to act. Gills couldn't believe that it had only been two days since he met this assassin and plotted the entire job. They were in the Norman's Inn, discussing the final act of their plan. The Prince couldn't help but feeling restless. He kept on fidgeting while sitting on his bed.

"So, finally the time has come..." He started. "I would like to hear your concrete plan to do this. And remember, I have to be there when you kill that accursed priest."

Roman bowed slightly to the High Preist then after given the gift he winked at the women before he walked out. he was sure she would strike in a few days but then again it would be tonight. he smirked as he made his way though the streets he will have to watch this fight.

Crimson was sitting on her bed crossed legged with her eyes closed trying to keep calm but the prince's fidgeting was going to driver her crazy. "we will take the six out one at a time ill go for one as you go for another if we are set up with three let me deal with two of them, but im sure it will e one or two at a time." she took a breath then opened her eyes " after the six are down we will go for the target stay out of my way when this happens or you will get caught by my blades." as she said this she looked over at him, her blue eyes showed excitement and the craving of blood though her face was calm.

The Prince was still fidgeting even after hearing her plan. It seems knowing the plan failed to calm him down, actually he seemed to be getting more nervous. "How can you be sure that they'll only come one or two at a time? What if they set up trap and the six ganged up on us at once? Can you really handle all of them? I..." The Prince who had always cooped inside the library was trembling. This would be his first fight, and all he had would be a single rapier. And an assassin on his side. But if she fell, he would be left alone. Can he do this? The feeling doubt and fear started to crept in.

She shrugged "I cant anything can happen that is the fun of this job things can change at any moment" she smiled at him then got up and patted his shoulder. "you can always give up though I cant say that I wont kill you or make you pay for this anyway" even though she needed him calm she wanted him to know the consensuses of giving up. feeling him shaking she sighed "look if you feel there is no way to win tell me and ill get you out...how dose that sound?"

Gills looked up to her face. His expression still showed that fear, but a firmness flared up in his eyes. "No...you're right. We just need to do what we have to do," he stood up as well, his trembling finally stopping. He need to remember his goal, his desire...everything led to this night. "I am the one who requested you to do this job, so I'll be there to the end. There will be no escape."

"Let's do this," he remarked. This time his tone was calm. He was ready to do this.

As he stood up she removed his hand then smiled seeing him gain some confidence. "good then we are ready" she gave him a thumbs up then a light kiss on the cheek. "its just for luck so dont think anything more" she smiled at him again then turned around to tighten her swords and dagger. "alright im ready lets go" as she said this she started to walk to the door, her body showed she was ready and that she was vary excited.

His cheek blushed slightly after she kissed him. He patted it again and again, trying to make them go away. Why the heck did she do that? He was calm before, now his heart started to race once again although for a different reason. Pushing the thoughts away, he followed behind her. This is it.

He had specifically told Norman that they would go out that night, so when they went downstairs dressed in cloak and all, he only gave them a knowing smile and a thumbs up. Surely he still had weird imagination going on about them, but eh that's fine. As long as he didn't realize what they're going to do.

The night was calm. People had retired early these days to prepare for the Festival, so it was a good time for their strike. Night guards were concentrated on the entrance. Only a few strolled the main road, but they can went past them safely as long as they stayed confident. Soon the silhouette of the church came in sight. "Alright, how should we do this? Are getting in or what?" He placed his hand atop the rapier's sheath.

Crimson had started to become more relaxed and calm, if she would of went in to excited she could possibly slip up. looking around the streets she had spotted the church then moved off into the darkness of an ally "I want to see how many we can avoid as we go into the church...well as you go in anyway" she mumbled the last part, she would not be able to go in to the main room just in case that priest that she talked to was there. "the church is always open so unless some of the six are denying entry you should have a easy time getting in then you will give me a signal every time you see a person then if you see one of the six tell me were" she then turned to him and looked up at his face. "dont go and pull something stupid"

He nodded as he listened to her explanation. After making sure that he understood what she needed him to do, he started the mission. He approached the church entrance, trying to be as casual as possible. It kind of failed a bit, but the elderly priest he met at the entrance didn't seem to notice.

"Oh my, do you need anything, my child? It's already late."

"Yes, father. I was feeling anxious at home. I was wondering whether I could still consult my problem with the church." That was obviously a lie, but his meek face convinced the priest. He was shown the way inside. The hall was empty, with only two other priests lingering around. Both were female, and they seemed to be cleaning the stage. The priest asked whether he would've liked to use the private room, but Gills told him to talk in the hall instead. For a few minutes they exchanged words, with Gills telling a (mostly false) sob story of him being a traveler and got stuck in the city with no relatives and was forced to do low-paid jobs. The priests listened with great care, even starting to tear up when he raised the sadness of the story a bit. Sorry, pops.

As he looked around while telling the story, he caught sight of two people in green robe in the upper stage. He remembered about the poem he'd recited earlier. The other priests only wear white robe. Could those be the Six Guards that Fang had told him about?

"Excuse me, father, I need some clean air," with that excuse he walked away toward the window, while the priest wiped tears away from his eyes. He peeked out toward the dark area outside the church, the light making him unable to see clearly, but he knew that Fang was there waiting for his signal. He raised three finger at first: there are three people here. And then he pulled them back, then raised two fingers while his other hand pulled a leaf from nearby shroud. Two of the Guards. Green.

watching him go she moved only slightly closer and waited against a wall. it had been a wile since he had went inside the church...was he still alive? she sighed then started to inch foreword, glancing up she had seen him go to the window alright three people and the two green..swords ok they had this. she flashed her sword so what little light hit it to show him she understood then quickly moved around the church in the shadows. if there are two down here then there must be two before the priests room then inside with him that will be three at the end, but what two would be with him. "Umbra Clone" after whispering this a shadow figure formed, handing it a few needles and putting her cloak on it she had it move to the doors. hopefully it will ether scare the people in there or lead the two out ether way worked for her. she had come up with a new plan as she sat there watching the shadow run off.

the shadow burst through the church doors and started to throw the needles at the two in green. with the cloak it looked like a normal person running in and attacking the two guards.

He didn't know where she exactly was, but a small sliver of light appeared in the dark. She got it. Alright! He returned back to the priest who was still waiting for him. He didn't know what she would do with that information, but surely she knew what to do. Just when he was about to resume his story, though, the front door was busted open and a person fully concealed in cloak jumped in out of nowhere. Said person threw something to the upper floor, which prompted the two green-robed men to react. Their swords clashed with the thrown objects. Needles. It was an assailant!

The two men jumped from the upper stage, nimbly landing on their feet a few feet before the intruder. The female priests shrieked with fear, but one of the green-robed man raised his hand up, telling them to run away.

"This could be dangerous. Leave this to us. Go to the back room!"

The two female priests quickly ran toward the door on the side. The elderly priest started to run as well, his hand pulling on Gills's sleeve. "You need to come too! It will be alright, those two are the great Six Guardians of the High Priest! They will surely take care of this! Come, come!" He led him to a door on the other side of the stage, the opposite of where the two female priests went to. It led to a long corridor with one side of the wall open to the church's garden.

Crimson had moved to the window as soon as she heard a women scream. looking into the window she smirked, it had seemed it had worked and that there were still only the two. "perfect" she mumbled as she put her hand to the glass. it was a hard task getting through but she figured out that if she put her hand to it, it was easier the only bad thing was how much energy this took. " Lanuae Magicae Umbra" saying this she showed up behind the two and pulled out her swords. in one movement she went to stab her blades through them, she couldn't help it she wanted to fight anything that was strong she could not pass them by.

The two men stood their ground without moving. They were waiting for this intruder to make another move. It would be easier for them to counter the intruder's attack rather than facing it head-on. After all, the intruder might had prepared trap for them. Waiting...the two kept their concentration sharp, not to miss even the slightest movement the intruder might had make...

...

What they saw was a sliver of dark shadow passing by.

And then,

The sound of steel piercing through flesh.

And then,

The sound of blood splurting out from within. The red stained the clean oak floor.

At the moment when her sword were pushed down toward their back, one of the twins pushed his brother aside, letting his body taking the full brunt of her attack. Blood. Blood. More blood. There was no stopping the endless stream of red trickling like mad. With the last strength left on his dying body, he gave his twin a relieved smile. "At least...you're alive..." his words were weak, and soon it disappeared into whispers.

Madness. The other twin screamed. Fear of losing someone important. Anger from your loved one snatched by someone else. By this wretched being. Tears streamed from his eyes, but his soul was filled with rage. Welling inside him was an unquelched thirst for revenge. Flesh for flesh. Blood for blood.

"You....BiTCh...I'LL. KILL! YOU!!!"

The green-robed young man screamed. The curved-bladed sword on his hand, a scimitar from the land far east where the barbarian resides, danced in the air like a mad god. His movement was fluid, with side-steps here and there to distract her. Finally, when he thought she was confused by his dance, he spun to her back, the blade on his hand slicing down the air, threatening to split her down in half.

She smiled seeing the blood flow from one of the twins then moved as the other came after her "are you so eager to join your brother?" she said with a giggle. she had almost hit her point with the sight of the brothers blood. "you were to slow to save him when my shadow was nothing you watched it in stead of watching behind you" she said watching his movements she smiled again, they were easy to watch but she wanted to have a bit more fun. she dogged slightly letting it cut her shirt a bit as well as her hair, then went in to punch the man in the stomach.

The man felt a slight exhilaration when his blade reached her, but sadly it only cut a bit of her clothes. When her fist connected with his stomach, he gagged, the hurting muscles made him throw up. His body lost strength, but he still gripped his sword with vengeful determination.

"Kill you....KILL...YOU!!!"

The man swung his sword wildly, but being sprawled on the ground without any strength to stand up, he couldn't do much.

Watching him swing his sword around on the ground she sighed, kicking his blade out of his hand she dropped down on his chest with her knees on his arms pinning him. "sorry I tried to get you both" she said with a slight smirk she brought one of her swords to his throat. "would you like to join your brother?" it was disappointing they were not strong, so she decided to give him the choice of dying or living with out his brother.

Embarrassing. So embarrassing. To act like this as the elite guard of the High Priest...so embarrassing. But none of it was important for him at the moment. Rage. Only rage blazed forth, filling his heart with darker and darker emotion. Reach her. Reach her. Just one more cut. Just one more slice. Just. One. Trickle. Of. Blood...

Even that hope was vanquished when she kicked the sword away. She further rendered him useless by pinning his arms with her knees. Even so, he struggled. Struggled, struggled, and struggled. Even when it was clearly worthless. Even when she didn't budge even an inch, he kept on struggling.

"Gah! What are you talking about?!?" He heard her questions clearly, yet his mind refused to acknowledge it. Everything coming out from her mouth was evil. Poison. Trash not even worth throwing away. All he wanted to do was to rip that mouth apart, crush her skull to pieces, grind her flesh into minced meat.

"Shut the hell up, you bitch! Don't you dare talk to me! You're just a filthy killer! Just kill me already! That's all you can do, right? That's what you are! You're not human! You're not even worth being called a living being! Trash...that's what you are! JUST. A. FILTHY. BROTHER-KILLER!"

He spat on her. "Just kill me if you dare! Kill Me! KILL ME!"

His words had no effect of her she just looked down at him, until he told her to kill him. She moved her blade closer to his neck as a trickle of blood came from were her sword was now against his neck. "your right that's all I am and I enjoy it"

She started to smile giving off a almost demonic look as she started to laugh, yet tears also started to fall down her cheeks and down onto him. "fine I'll kill you if that's what you really want...join your brother!" she didn't notice the tears falling from her face as she brought the sword down, yet... She only cut his neck as she brought the sword down beside his neck.

She looked confused as she moved her sword back over his neck.she did something even more confusing when she took the hilt of her sword and brought it down on his head, in Hopes of knocking him out.

His eyes grew wider when her blade started to reach his neck. At first it was denial, then it was acceptance. Yes, this is how it should be. Now he can be with his brother...however, once more his desire was denied. Instead of stabbing through the neck, her blade only grazed its side. Blood trickled from the wound, but it was clearly too shallow to pose any danger to his life.

And what the heck was in her face? Tears? What the hell?

"What are you playing, you bitch? You want to torment me now? Is killing my brother not enough? YOU DEMON! JUST FINISH ME ALREADY! JUST FIN...GAH!"

The hilt of her blade came down to his head with a loud bang, and with that his consciousness disappeared.

At that moment, the door on the side opened. Out came Gills, casually strolling down the hallway. He looked at the chaos in front of him with a confused expression. There was someone...some corpse, lying on a pool of blood. And the most likely perpetrator was now straddling someone whom she just mercilessly knocked out.

"Err...what the hell?" As he moved closer, he saw tears streaming down on her cheek. He was dumbfounded. What the hell actually happened? With a swift movement, he took out his handkerchief and wiped the tears away. "Did you get hurt? What happened?"
