Fantasy Project Anima

He received the bread back from her with a frowning face. Such waste of food. But looking at her expression at the moment he might lost his head if he said that, so he kept his tongue. "Then...I'll go back to our room. The day is growing darker so it might be a good time to retire." He stood up while chomping on the kebab. "See you then."

His way back to the inn was uneventful. Most people had went back home, leaving only some worker finally joining the parade after their shift had ended. The High Priest and his companion were kind enough to keep the parade until midnight in case people would want to attend but couldn't in the day. Heh. The Enethil Festival start in four days. By that time...there might be no more High Priest to revere to...his eyes grew darker, but he shoved the thoughts away as quickly as possible.

Back at the Norman's, he ignored the old man's nagging about returning alone and head straight to their room, crashing down on the bed instantly. The food he'd forced into his body started to work their way on his metabolism, and drowsiness soon took control of him.

Even in sleep, he didn't let go of the rapier on his hip...

She nodded as he said he was going back to the in, but sat there for a moment longer then decided that she would go check on there target for a bit. walking back to the area that the high priest was. leaning on a building she watched the people go by as well as glanced at the stage every so often to look at the priest.

she was getting board like she always did when it came to watching targets. she moved to a building were there were less people around and a tree. she sat down against the tree as she looked around for something to entertain her until the priest left to the church.

The flock of people never ends even late into the night. However, they were surely decreasing bit by bit. By the time that the moon shone the brightest, only a few people lingers around the stage area. High Priest Arthur Lancwein nodded at his guards's suggestion to end the day's parade.

And so the High Priest and his entourages exited the stage, followed by cheering from whoever was still there. Some people helped to tend to the stage, helped by the guards on night duty. They would disassemble the stage to be used later. For now, there will be a period of grace for the people to prepare for the upcoming Festival.

"Your Highness, about the previous incident...don't you think it's better to heighten the security?" One of the Six, a man in white robe adorned with red stripes, spoke up to Arthur. He shook his head in response.

"There's no need to. We should focus on the people's safety rather than me."

"But, Your Highness!" two people spoke up simultaneously. The two wore identical robe of green color. They seems to be twins.

"It's okay. I have faith in you guys. And, you don't think that I would be defeated that easily, right?" the High Priest gave them an assuring smile. "Now, let's go back to the church lest we'll worry those priests. They spoiled me too much."

Crimson watched the festivitys come to an end and sighed, there was no reason to be there much longer. Standing up she looked around then stretched , popping her back she started to walk not really caring were she walked. With out noticing she walked right in front of the priest and the six, the look of boredom was clear on her face as she walked.right as she noticed she locked eyes with him, it was like time went into slow motion as she walked past them.

High Priest Arthur was talking with the woman in blue robe when he accidentally locked eyes with Fang. At that instant he felt a weird feeling in his heart. The feeling was so strong that he ended up stopping on his track. Ah...it's like some kind of premonition. What could that be...? ...Fear...?

"High Priest?"

The woman in blue shook him off from his daze. "Y-yes. What did you say again?"

"Did something happened?" The red one looked at him with worry.

"No, it's nothing. Did you guys see..." He wanted to point out about Fang, but the assassin had already went past them and the other Six didn't seem to regard her as anything but an insignificant stranger. "...No, nothing. Let us resume our walk."

He led them to the church while reassuring them that everything was okay.

Crimson smirked after passing them she could see the change in his eyes as they looked at each other, she couldnt wait for that night when she would face him.

Walking back to the bar she sat down at the stool and waited for Norman to see her, she wanted a drink as well as to see if he was able to find her sword a partner.

It was past midnight when she finally went through the entrance of Norman's Inn, and the only patrons around were the usual shady ones. It was a slow night after the parade and so Norman could be found lounging around the counter, being bored with no one ordering anything. He caught sight of Fang and whistled for her to come over.

"I see the missy is coming back alone. Got bored and ditched the poor Gills? You're playing him hard to get, eh, missy?" He poured her a jug of ale. "I know what you want. The first drink is free. See if you can stop from asking for more, hahaha!"

"By the way, the sword is done," he leaned closer to her, half-whispering so no one else would hear them. "I'm gonna get it delivered here tomorrow morning at best. Top quality merchandise if I might say so. The decoration for the handle is different but the blade is as sharp, if not better. You won't be disappointed, missy."

She smiled at him as she moved over by him. "thank you for the drink, i think ill only be having one tonight" she took a drink of the Ale, then sighed "Norman i have no interest in that man he only paying me for a job is all" she said then took another drink of her Ale as she listened to him tell her about the sword. "if you like it then im sure I will as well" she gave him a sweet smile before leaning on the counter. She couldn't wait to get her hands on the sword so she could try it out. she got slightly existed thinking about the up coming job and getting to use both her swords.

The bartender's face is already red even before Fang returned. Seems that he also partake in his stock of ale. Considering that most of his income was from...less official source, it kind of make sense. He poured himself a drink and gulped them down in one go. "Huh? I thought it's your job to be interested to that man? Hmm...what kind of job did he really ask you to do, missy?" He raised his eyebrow.

She blushed "what kind of job did you think I did!.. i dont have sex for money if that is what you are thinking!" she said now flustered drinking the rest of her Ale she placed a coin down. "iv changed my mind ill have another" she had seen that he had been drinking already and was sure it was affecting his mind somewhat.

Norman was half-confused now. It was the combination of what she'd just said and the alcohol taking its effect on him. "Huh? That's weird. What did that Gills fellow want then? Are you a broker, missy? He did say he wanted those books and I couldn't find it for him...*hic*" He slipped down to a chair behind the counter. Seems that he'd drunk more than a few jugs before she arrived. Yet his mind is still clear enough to barely function as a bartender.

"Here's your order, har, har," He placed another jug of ale in exchange of the coin.

"no im not a broker im sure he would only go to you" she smiled then took a drink of the ale that was placed in front of her. "im someone who you pay to do the darker jobs" she leaned on her arm and smiled at him before taking another drink. she was not going to go out and say she was an assassin right then and hoped he would get what she meant even as drunk as he was.

Norman didn't seem to hear her clearly, but even when he finally put her words together, his alcohol-addled mind couldn't make the right connection. So he just laughed as if she was saying the funniest thing in the world. "Ahaha, I see, I see! Well, like I said, just don't be too harsh on that Gills, you hear me? Ugh, I think I should wrap it up for the day. You okay with that, missy? I need to get up in the morning, need to take those swords of yours. Oi, we're closing for tonight!"

The bartender clapped his hand, prompting the other patrons to vacate the place. They seems to have finished their job anyway, and some went to Norman directly and handed him a few silver coins as tip. "Heh, see you tomorrow, sly foxes." He smirked at them knowingly. "A'ite, I need to go. If you still want to drink just use that tap over there. I'm sure Gills would cover your tab just fine," he said while laughing out loud before disappearing to the back room.

"i think ill retire as well" she laughed then drank down her ale. sliding off her chair she started to walk "have a nice night" she said before going up to the room. walking in the prince was already asleep she walked over to him and nudged the bed with her food "hey sir prince wake up". she had to get some real sleep tonight so she wanted to worn him about pulling a stunt like what he did and wanted to give him the information she had about her sword.

Perhaps it was the food. Perhaps it was the sudden rush of excitement of finally getting close to his target. Argillys's slept was riddled with dreams. Short, disconnected dreams that started and stopped at the whim of randomness. It was mostly his memories, but he couldn't remember much. One of them was clear enough for an image to form. It was him in his younger years. There was someone else over there. Someone he'd known so well, yet so distant. He could still remember that person's touch. The way they moved. The feeling of their voice reaching his ears. The memories they'd shared together. The words they'd exchanged. What he had told them. What they had told him.

"I believed in you,"

Their words. His memories.

And then, everything shattered. In real life, Fang was nudging the bed to wake him up. In his still half-sleeping state, though, he perceived his sudden waking as danger. The prince leapt up from the bed, quickly spinning to face the supposed enemy. His right hand had withdrawn the rapier from its sheath, its sharp blade pointed toward the source of the nudging.

When he saw that it was Fang, he lost his strength and fell back to his bed.

"W-what the hell? Stop doing that!? You scared me shitless!" He complained.

she continued to nudge his bed getting irritated. "come on wake up" she said a little louder, then out of no were he jumped up with his rapier pointed at her. giving him a blank look as she looked at the blade then him. she shook her head as she walked to her bed after he had fallen back on his."im doing nothing but waking you up so stop being a baby" she crossed her arms as she looked at him.

"I have news of my sword it will be here in the morning" she said as she then started to undo her shoes. "tomorrow night we will finish the job...but this really wont be easy" she said tossing them off to the side before she laid out on her bed. " so dont pull another stunt like you did, because I may not wake up at that moment, but ill know when I do" she looked over at him and glared for a moment then took off her coin bag and placed it on the end table.

Gills's eyes brightened when she told him about her swords being ready, but his face turned to a frown when she mentioned about *that* incident.

"It's...just an accident, okay? I'm innocent, honest!" He grunted. He stared at the rapier with a longing look before sliding it back into its sheath. "Hey, wait...you woke me up just to say that? Can't it wait until morning?!?"

"for some reason I dont believe you and yes it was pay back" she smirked then she rolled on her side. "if you need something in the morning you will have to wait because like I said I wont be waking up and it will be hard to get me up" she yawned then moved her dagger off her belt and up to her chest cuddling the sheath lightly. "night" she mumbled as she closed her eyes.

"O-OIII!!"

The Prince shouted in frustation, but there's nothing he could do anyway. He laid back on his bed, hopelessly glaring at the assassin across the room. He turned so that his back was facing her, then closed his eyes trying to sleep again. Seems that it'll be a long, long night...

the morning had come and the sun had shown through the window on Crimson, but she had been in to deep of sleep to notice the sun on her face. her dreams were dark like all she was walking through was a black world. it was always like this before she worked on getting a job finished, it was like her body knew she needed the rest.

This is the worst night for Gills. After Fang abruptly woke him up, he ended up tossing and turning in his bed, attempting to let the sweet embrace of sleep to take him away. Judging on the bag under his eyes, he failed up miserably. Sometime near dawn, he said 'fuck it' and just went down to the bar. It's still closed, but Norman had been up and was preparing for opening. He parked himself on the counter, resting his chin on the glossy wooden surface.

"What the heck happened, my man Gills?"

"Nothing big, just that sorry excuse of a woman kicking me awake and made me suffer all night..." He stopped talking when he spotted Norman showing an amused smile. "Listen. Whatever you're imagining at the moment, just stop. It's not what you think."

"Yes, yes, she said so yesternight," the bartender quipped. "By the way, the swords are ready. You got the money?"

Gills dropped the bundle full of gold bars in front of him. Norman's eyes grew so wide they looked like they'd jump out of their socket at any moment.

"...This is too much."

"I know. I need you to do something else. I need supplies for cross-nation journey. Horses. Food. Whatever you can find. I might need it tonight or tomorrow before dawn."

Norman eyed him with suspicion, before he dropped it and let out a sigh. "...What are you REALLY going to do, huh? You gonna rob the entire city or something?"

"...just think of it that way," Gills replied with a smirk.

Crimson had slept through the morning unaware that he had left the room. She had not moved from her spot or even turned over the whole night. It was a good hour or two after he had left when, She finally woke up with a yawn. Sitting up she stretched before moving over the bed and pulling on her boots.

"Huh he is gone" she mumbled with a tiered look. After grabbing her dagger and gold she strapped it on her belt, then rubbed her eyes. Remembering that she had her new sword and old one waiting for her she started out the door and down to the bar.

Gills and Norman was still talking when they saw Fang climbing down the stairs. Norman whistled and pulled out something wrapped in clothes from below the counter. When he opened it, there was a pair of swords inside. Gills remembered one of them as the sword that Fang had given him two days ago.

"Here you go, missy! The old one sharpened and polished, the new one brand-new, ready for some fresh blood! Hahaha!" He laughed proudly. "What about you, Gills, my man? You don't need any weapon?"

"I got this," he replied meekly while tapping on the rapier sheathed on his hip. Although, judging from the shape of the sheath, one would be inclined to think that it was a regular short sword. While the decoration on the handle was intricate, the sheath itself was a cheap-looking one, even worn-out after a long year of service.

"Hmm, well, to each their own. This guy had paid for it, so you can take it anytime, missy."

Crimson walked over to them after being called over then seeing the swords she smiled. "they look grate!" she said happily as she picked them up. She moved the new one around in her hand a bit, it was a lot nicer then her old one, lighter even. She gave them a actual happy smile, her eyes shown brightly.

"I'll be out in the woods if you need me I have to try it out" with that being said she ran out of the bar, with out waiting for an answer.

Making it out to the woods she unsheathed them and started to swing them around with fluent movements. The second sword was a almost perfect match for her old one.

The two men didn't even have time to react. "well...there goes the missy," Norman remarked. Gills just laughed dryly. She looked like a child who just got their favorite toys. In her case, a bloody, dangerous toys.

"I'll go see what she's doing with those," the Prince ran out. It was that time in the morning where the street was not too crowded, thank the Three Deities, and so he managed to reach the wood without much hindrance. When he finally saw her, she had seemingly finished whatever she had wanted to do earlier.

"So...were they to your liking?" He called her out from a fair distance - wouldn't want her to get some funny idea and tried those blades out on him.
