Fantasy Project Anima

She nodded, with knowing that the priest would most likely not remember him helped the worry in her mind. When he told her to stop she looked up at him then at the stage in the middle of the crowd. looking at the men on the stage she spotted her target he looked relaxed, she smirked then looked at the prince slightly. she seen that he wanted to get it done now to hurry the assassination of the High Priest. she shook her head slightly, he needs to control himself or the plans will be shot and they could both die.

"there... now that we have found him..ill leave you here so i can get the information I need" she turned away from him but stopped for a moment. "try to control your self wile im gone i dont want you to die before you pay me" after saying this under her breath, she walked off into the crowd and to the church. if any one knew anything about the High Priest it would be the church.

"...Huh?" Her call snapped him out from his daze. When he wanted to follow along though, he realized she was heading to the church building. While the Head Priest might not remember him, the priests surely would. Perhaps it's best to let her do her reconnaisance alone. Thinking that, he went the opposite direction to see more of the city. Staying in the line of sight of that Head Priest stirred him too much.

As Fang went closer toward the church building, the crowds thinned down bit by bit until there were only a few people left. Seems that everyone was focused on the city central. The church, a large, homely-looking building painted in white and black, was at the far end of the street. The statue of Three Deities stood on its roof. A priest was standing in front of the entrance, and Fang's arrival seemed to surprise him.

"Welcome, child. What are you doing here, when the parade is still ongoing?" the priest, a middle-aged man with a kind smile, asked her.

Seeing the priest she tried to make her self less threatening."i'm sorry to bother you but i must ask you a few questions" as she said this she walked up to him with a smile. "is there somewhere we can speak in privet?" she really didn't want to discus anything were people could hear them, especially if she would have to get rough with him. She hoped it wouldn't come to her harming him, she was not in the mood to kill off a priest that has done nothing.

The priest raised his eyebrows upon hearing her request. But ultimately he didn't think too much about it. He'd seen weirder things among the citizen. "Certainly. I understand if it's something that you don't want to be known by others. Then, please come in, my child," he opened the door to reveal a large hall with a pedestal at the farthest end. In times of prayer this place would've been chock-full of people, but with the parade going on, it was empty saves for a few priests walking around. The kind priest motioned for her to follow him to a door on the side. It led to a small room with a table and two chairs on each opposite end. It seems to be a confession room of some sort, where people can consult the priest about their problem without fear of being spied upon.

"We can talk more privately here," he took a seat. "Is there anything that I can help you, child? What question do you need answering? Hmm..." he took a quick glance at Fang's appearance. "Are you perhaps interested in converting to the belief of the Three Deities? I can explain it to you."

she fallowed him silently looking around the church, it had become habit to look for ways to get out of buildings and how many people were in the building. looking into the small room she watched the priest sit down as she stayed next to the door. "im sorry but I am not here to convert...besides for what I have done I would not be welcome" she smirked as she locked the door behind her.

Now that they were alone she was able to relax as she walked over to him as her mood and actions changed. "I need answers about the High Priest Lancwein" as she said this she placed her dagger on the table. "and please do not yell i dont want to have to kill you" she looked at him her light blue eyes showing warning yet truth in not wanting to kill him.

The sudden change in her behavior surprised the priest, but he recovered quickly enough. In fact, there was no fear on his face. With the usual calm expression, he replied her demand.

"I see...so you're one of those people. First, let me assure you that you are not the first," the priest gave her a kindly smile. "And my answer is still the same. I cannot tell. Some information is not to be shared with outsiders. Ah, there's no need to be so aggressive. I have vowed my life to the High Priest and the Three Deities. Death is nothing for me."

He coughed a bit before continuing. "But if you have questions, I am obliged to answer it. Pray tell me at the least. If it is something that I can answer, then I will."

Seeing his reaction to her she sighed then gave him a slightly relied smile. "I dont know what you are talking about with the 'others' i am here on my own" she said then sat down across from him and put her dagger back on her belt. "I just need to know were he is staying and when he will be alone" in her outfit it was hard to look like a lady but she did her best to stay relaxed yet ready to kill him at any moment.

"and also if he will be around others wile he is in his room" saying this she leaned back a bit in the chair. it was strange for her to be in the same room as a priest for to long and made her slightly uncomfortable, but what was worse was he was not afraid.

The priest stared at her eyes for a while, letting silence take over after she finished her questions. After a while he sighed, then took off his glasses and wiped them with the handkerchief on his pocket. "It is rather public knowledge that the High Priest takes residence in this church. If you are looking for his room, it would be the one in the uppermost floor. You couldn't miss it, it is the largest one made of oak. In fact, I can take you there right now, but the High Priest is away as you should have known from the start."

He put his glasses back. The man seems to be a bit annoyed when answering her question, as if saying "not this again." Seems that this is not the first time he had given that answer to people, and he was certain even this won't be the last time. He looked back to Fang. "Listen. If you are harboring malice toward the High Priest, just give it up. We are here for His Highness, and we are willing to give our lives for His Highness's safety. Even if you do manage to get to him, His Highness is never alone. The six Holy Guards are always with him, protecting him from potential harm. I'm advising you now to just stop whatever plan you have, just like I've advised the others before you. Although, my warnings were never enough, but I pray that you will take heed. Do not waste your life."

"You can come to us," he said with his usual fatherly smile, "the Three Deities do not discriminate people. No matter what your past is, as long as you want to be saved, we will save you. Please, my child, come to us. We will welcome you with open arms."

She was quiet as he spoke, she had known what room he was talking about so had no reason to have the Priest show her. when he spoke of harboring malice toward the High Priest she smiled a bit. "I have no malice or any ill feelings towards the Priest, this is only a job is all" she tried not to laugh about the rest of what he had said to her. "Priest my soul is so dark im surprised I have not burned coming in here with you" she smiled at him sweetly .

She moved around in her seat so she could lean of the table. "I have one more question...do you know of what power they have, answer me this and i will leave" she had no reason to want to be saved or to even care for her own life. assassination was her life she has had so much blood on her hands that even if she wanted to be she would not deserve it.

The priest shook his head. Another life wasted. Even after seeing this happens again and again, his soul still couldn't accept it. "Pitiful child. I can only hope that the High Priest would take pity on you and spare your life...just like what he'd done to me." He smiled again. "I do not know to what extend their power is, but I can say that the High Priest and His Guards are proficient in Magic. Perhaps more so than us common priests. They are our teachers and we revere their power as blessings from the Three Deities."

She remained quit until he was finished speaking then sighed. "i hope he wont i have a job and if he dose not take me down I will just come at him again until he is taken down" she slowly stood up then looked down at him "thank you for your time it would be best to keep this a secret you never know i might give it up" she smiled at him then walked to the door. what if she could be saved form her living hell? she stopped as her hand was on the door, a blood thirsty smile crept to her lips. she liked this job to much she sometimes craved it, she did not want to be saved. she looked at him slightly as she faced the door "what has this man saved you from?"

The Priest looked up to her and gave her a smile. Not the kind, fatherly smile he usually sported, but something more similar to hers. He pulled open his robe to reveal his chest. A burned mark was carved crossing from his right shoulder to his left hip. "I asked Him for death, but He denied it from me. What He'd given me was life instead. You are still young, sister. I'll pray that you won't have to feel the pain I felt that long time ago."

She looked at him for a moment then let out a small laugh before looking back at the door. "good day priest thank you again" she said before walking out of the room. walking though the building she shook her head lightly, something is strange the high priest seamed to be a kind man yet the prince hates him so much. she stopped out side of the church and looked at the sky "I mustn't think about it to much he is still my target and that will not change" she moved around the city until she hit were the high priest was and looked at him and his six body guards.

"there are a lot of people but i want to test out his reflexes" she thought then moved to the alley. walking in she jumped up to the roof then walked along the roof tops until she got to the highest one over looking the festivitys. She will look for the prince later this was something for her. taking out a small throwing needle she stared down at the priest, no one will know other then him ether from him getting hit or dodging it. she threw it aiming for his chest, not a kill zone just one that would hurt, then quickly hid her self from view.

The throwing needle pierced through the air, traveling in speed only achievable from being thrown by a master. It passed through the guards close to him and almost pierced his chest before it crashed into invisible wall, rotating in the air before falling down to the stage with a clang. The guards were surprised, but the High Priest maintained his calm expression. His eyes slowly moved toward the general direction where the needle had come from. Farther from the stage, up above the rooftop...who was it?

"Your Highness!" The Six Guards rushed to get closer to him, but he waved them away. The crowds still hadn't notice anything. He shouldn't let them panic over something so insignificant.

He kept on staring toward the rooftop where Fang was. Had the attacker gone? No matter. The next attack won't even reach him. The Six Guards had erected more barrier around the High Priest with their Magic.

she watched the needle as it moved close to him but then stopped suddenly, then fell to the ground. "I should of known there would be a type of barrier" she sighed as she laid there looking at the sky as part of the wall covered her up. hearing the small panic she set off on the guards made her smile, but it soon faded if it was on him at all times she would have to take out the guards first. the six of them would be hard unless taken out one or two at a time.

She had figured that he was still looking her way so she didn't move for a wile, but feeling the sun on her pale skin was starting to sting after a bit. moving only slightly she looked down into the ally she could use her teleportation spell but with out him noticing she would have to pick out a spot in the shadows. finding a spot she moved her hand slightly "Lanuae Maigcae Umbra".

Appearing into the ally she walked out like nothing was wrong and even smiled at a few guys. she didn't bother to look at the preist until she had melted in with the crowed and even that was a slight gance. leaving the crowded area she looked for the prince through out the town.

Prince Argillys was in a deep problem right now. He was sitting in front of a tea house, his head hung low. From time to time sighs came out from his mouth. He looked so pitiful such that a concerned waitress walked over and asked him what was wrong. The Prince gave her a weary smile and replied solemnly. "My stomach hurts. I ate too much..." The waitress went away while laughing histerically.

He had dined on each of the peddlers' foods, each one tasting differently than the others. This was not the five-star dinner he always ate in the castle, but personally he felt that they were way better. So this was the taste of commoner's food...the Prince was smiling like a little child. His happy expression was contagious to other people around him as well. They couldn't help but smiling whenever they saw his innocent face. Seems that nobody noticed that he was their Prince.

"Now then, where should I go next...?" He stood up after his stomach calmed down a bit. He wondered whether Fang was still doing her reconaissance. Was it wise to left her alone? But he would've been a hindrance anyway if he followed her.

Crimson had looked everywhere for him she had even went back to there room. crossing her arms she leaned on a building waiting for him to walk past her, if he was even still in the city. hearing laughter from the other side of the street she wondered over to see if it was him causing it. seeing the prince sitting there she smirked, he looks like he is enjoying himself. walking silently up behind him she softly put her hand on his shoulder and moved to his ear "is the prince enjoying himself?" she whispered with a slight smirk.

While his mind is still in a daze wondering what to do next, Fang had suddenly tapped his shoulder and whispered on his ear. Gills almost shouted out of shock, but quickly calmed himself after seeing that it was just her. "Damnit, don't scare me like that!" He grunted.

"So, how's your walk?" He asked rather lightly, mainly so other people won't pay attention to what he said. "Is it fun?"

She laughed lightly at his reaction to her sneaking up on him, it was quite entertaining. "sorry I'll try not to next time....and yes it was... Interesting" she moved in front of him and sat down, she wasnt going to say anything here unless he really wanted to know at that moment. "I see you are enjoying the food around here" he said leaning on the small table. "how is it... Compared to what your use to? "

Gills pouted a bit when he saw her laughing at his misery. Hmph. Plopping back on his seat, he pulled out a bundle of what seemingly meat sprinkled with herbs and stuffed into bread. He pulled another one and put it on the table in front of her. "It's great. Dang, my people missed a lot. This is way better than those so-called high quality food and their stiff way of eating. This is what I actually like," he made a large bite on the bread/meat thing, chomping it down happily like a kid who had no table manner.

"I guess you've failed? Not so easy to get him, huh?" He said between the chomping. People might not get it, but she should've understood that he was talking about the High Priest. "But please tell me that you have a plan. Or are you going to give up?"

She looked at him with a slight laugh then shook her head at him eating like a child. Moving the food aside she leaned farther on it closer to him with a slight glare. "I said it was interesting not that I failed." she was not fond of the word fail, she never fails.

"it won't be easy but I have a sorta plan. I'll take the six and pick them one at a time then move on...but then again it might not work... " she trailed off as she leaned back in her chair, she had to think about it. They were all strong...perhaps she should just challenge him if he has any honer then he would except, but that is only if she can't get him silently. Her mind was off everything as she started to run different scenarios through her head, this task was hard though because she had no idea what they were capable of.

Gills moved back a bit when she glared at him. Seems that this woman didn't like to fail. Huh, interesting. He took another bite on his bread/meat thing. He later found out that it is called a kebab, and is a popular food from the eastern region. It's actually a wonder that they were allowed to sell stuffs belonging to the Eastern Barbarian, but perhaps the guards didn't take them seriously as only commoners eat these kind of food.

He watched her getting silence as she was deep in thought. Chomp chomp. He had faith in her ability, but perhaps sending her alone was too much? But...chomp chomp. The meat is juicy and the bread only further add textures to each bite. Truly this kebab thing is a wonder. Chomp chomp.

"...The blue one specializes in barrier magic. She tend to be easily distracted."

Chomp. Chomp.

"...The twin greens wield swords."

Chomp. Chomp.

"...The red one fight with flames."

Chomp. Chomp.

"...The yellow one stayed behind. He raises spikes from the ground."

Gulp.

"...The black one stayed close to her head. A pouch on her belt, water dripping from within."

He pulled a wineskin he'd bought earlier and drank the water. Ah, refreshing. "That bread meat thingy is truly wonderful. Isn't it?" He laughed merrily.

She snapped out of her concentration when he started talking and looked at him her glare getting darker as he spoke. "you are telling me this now.." at this moment she was close to killing him, she had excepted his job and yet he said nothing about the six what else could he be hiding? "if you do not tell me everything you know right now i will cut you down" she grabbed her dagger and with a little spin she stabbed it into the table in front of him.

Gills' back tensed up when she stabbed the table, yet he still calmly plugged the wineskin pouch and put it back on his belt. "Err...did I say something wrong?" He smiled nervously. "That's just something I remembered from my younger days. I didn't realize that it's connected to this six-whatever that you're talking about until I counted the number and, yeah, it fits. Honest. Also, you might want to put that back," he pointed at the dagger.

The people around had stopped walking when they heard the sound of the blade piercing through the soft wood. Their expression is a combination of surprise and fear, but there's some excitement in that too. The women especially seems to see it as a lover's quarrel, you can hear them whispering about it among themselves.

Looking at him she sighed then pulled her dagger out on the table, she needed to calm down. putting the blade back in her belt she leaned back with her arms crossed. "I know were he stays and the room, when we get my delivery we will visit him that night" she said looking away from him and at the crowed. she didn't care what they thought of the situation, if they thought it was something other then it was. "enjoy the day for now because by the time he is faced we will ether be no more or you will be were you belong." as she said this she turned to him and pushed the bread back to him, she was not in the mood to eat.
