Fantasy Project Anima

Norman nodded, and ordered something without alcohol this time. Thus he was given a big bowl of water, which he reluctantly gulp down unlike the ale. They had been drinking for a while now and the sun had shyly went out in his path, and the crowd surrounding them had dissipated and leaving only the usual patrons of the bar.

"I think you can still drink some more but I sense that we need to take care of that little thing on your arm," he pointed to Arty, who had somehow took another sips on her own mug, finishing it, but in return was now completely red in he face. She was still clinging to Crimson, and somehow had fallen asleep inbetween their talk.

she had finished off her last mug when she heard him say something about Arty. she looked down at her and sighed. "I guess it was way to much for her" she giggled then looked at Norman. "think you can carry her? I cant feel my arms at the moment" she giggled as she started to gently loosen Artys grip on her arm. she did want to drink more but he was right, they needed to bring her to the in to sleep it off.

Norman nodded and proceeded to carry Arty on his back, the girl's petite body helping to lessen the weight. He tossed some gold coins on the table to pay for the amount of ale they had emptied from the bar, then started to walk away. "Actually...where is the inn though? Gills didn't come back, and he didn't even bother to tell us where he had decided to stay. Well I don't think a town this size will have more than one or two inns...should we try them one by one?"

walking out then looking around she then looked back at him and shrugged. it was strange that he did not come to get them, but she figured he was probably just tiered is all and went to bed. "lets go this way" she pointed to the right and giggled. she started to walk in a slightly straight line as she moved in front of him. she was in a good mood and let the feeling of the alcohol wash over her. "we are bound to find him sooner or later so we can probably just wonder into an inn and see if he is there" she looked back and smiled at Norman.

Norman nodded at her suggestion. "Good enough for me. The breeze will help me recover from alcohol after all," although he didn't look like he need one. Arty was the one who need it...the girl was sleeping soundly tucked up on Norman's back. Thankfully she wasn't drooling. Yet. After a few minutes of walking down the small town's street, they found a building with the sign of 'Wild Boar's Inn' hanging above the entrance. Might as well try.

"Excuse me," Norman entered first and was greeted by a young girl wearing apron, likely a worker here. A quick inquiry revealed that a man identifying himself as 'Gills' had checked in and requested two rooms. Said man also told them that should his companion arrived, they would be ushered to their rooms.

"I guess one is for you and Arty, and the other is for me and that guy," Norman said to Crimson. "Well, can you take her off me then."

she walked in and laughed to herself hearing that the first inn they picked was the right one. hearing Norman say something about her getting Arty off she nodded then went behind him and removed her from his back. she stood there with Arty in her arms bridal style as she fallowed them to the room. "well I guess this is good night then?" she asked as she looked at Norman with a small smile. she shifted her in her arms as she went to open the door.

Norman laughed. "See you tomorrow then, birdy-pie," he opened the door to his room...only to find that it was empty. Their belonging was still there, courtesy of Gills, but the person himself wasn't there. "Uh...a tiny bit info for you, seems that our princey isn't here right now," Norman remarked. "Well, I guess he'll get back later? See you." And with that, he closed the door, presumably to enter the dreamland.

Arty shifted in Crimson's arm. Her face was smiling, she seemed to be having a nice dream.

"good night..." she mumbled as she watched his door close. Crimson looked down at Arty and smiled slightly it seamed the drink had put her in a good dream. she sighed as she looked at the boy's room, she didn't like the feeling of not knowing were Gills was. she bit her lip as she opened the door and walked in. she moved in and put her down on the bed closer to the door and then went to the window and made sure it was locked. after nodding to herself she walked back over to her. "I'm going to look for your brother... Norman is in the other room scream if you need him" she whispered to her then walked to the door.

Arty was deep in her sleep, but she made an incoherent mumble as a reply somewhat. She might not actually heard what Crimson said, but let's just assume that she did. At the least Norman was nearby if something bad happened.

In the dark of the night, Gills was out in the town, walking by on the deserted alleyway. The small town quickly grew empty at night as people went back to their dwellings to rest for another day. Compared to the capitals, only a few guards were stationed and they were in the gates. As people knew each other well here, night patrol was considerably lax. Sauntering the street like he owned the place, Gills was deep in thinking. His eyes gazed upon the starry night yet his mind wandered away.

Crimson made her way out side and looked down the roads. "what is he thinking, what if something happened?" she mumbled to her self as she started to walk down the road opposite of the one they came from. she mumbled to herself as she walked, it was not like she was worried...she was. Crimsons mind was sharp as her body was still having the affects of the alcohol. she walked on in a slightly crooked line as she looked around the streets for him, this was ridicules were was he?

The Prince had ended up perching on someone's rooftop, laying down without a care on the world, still gazing upon the starry sky. The night breeze feels good on his skin, and he ended up smiling upon realizing that he was finally alone again after a while. His life was originally alone after losing Arty, spending his time in the library hiding himself in the world of books. Having Arty once more in his life brightened it. And there's also Crimson, and Norman, and all those people he had met in the adventure. It was fun. It still is.

"Gh..." he clutched his chest. Calm down, self. This body is yours, and it will stay that way. Until the end, if he could...he would not change. For the sake of his sister, he would not.

For her sake and only hers.

Crimson couldn't find him any were and it was starting to freak her out slightly. Her mind was a mess from worry but also because of her assassin side telling her to not care. She stood there and took a deep breath. "I must calm down" she whispered to her self as she stood there unmoving for a moment. Feeling her self relax and calm down she looked up at the church she had made her way to.

"LanuaeMagicae Umbra" she mumbled as she moved her hand to target the top of the church. Making it up there she scanned the town. "there you are" she mumbled as she sat down and watched him. He was only laying there on a building on the other side of town nothing more. Such an easy target....she shook her head then looked at the sky. The moon was beautiful.

As the clouds slowly moved by the wind, Gills could now see the moon shining brighter than any stars. Such a beautiful scene...he wondered whether Arty was seeing it in her room right now. Thinking that it was enough cruising for the night, he started to get down from the rooftop.

His lips moved slowly, a word formed through the combination of letters flowing out from his tongue. "Gleis," a faint light appeared under his clothes before dimming immediately. The prince went to the edge of the roof and then stepped into the open air...yet he didn't fall. He made a small leap and after falling down a bit, he stopped and did it again, as if stepping on thin air itself. He kept doing that until he was safely on the ground, and started to head back to the inn.

Crimson had looked over at the right time to see Gills stepping on air. She was confused at what had happened then thinking it was a spell she started to move on the roof tops closer to him. She strayed on the roofs as she got closer and used what she knew to be as silent as she could as she looked down at him.

She was tempted to jump down as ask him why he left and never came to tell them were he was going, yet she stayed there ready to move out of sight if he looked up. It almost felt like before she met them. She smiled a bit as her body moved silently with him.

Gills had a bad feeling on the back of his neck, like that feeling when you have someone watching you...somewhere. He kept on glancing back and forth, but the street was empty and nothing was there. "Must be...my imagination, right?" He laughed dryly. Nevertheless, he kept on walking down the road toward the inn. If something will happen then it will, he just have to deal with it at that time.

Crimson smiled even more as she heard him laugh to himself, he was uneasy and she could tell. She was enjoying herself as she moved with him making it to the inn before him, as she watched him walk. She moved down into the darkness of the alleyway beside the inn and waited. Watching him move closer she wanted to grab him and scare him to see the look on his face. Before she could tell her body no she grabbed his arm and pulled him into the alley. She moved him so he was facing away from her with one hand on his eyes and her arm around his neck.

Gills had finally reached the inn without any incident saves that weird lingering feeling of being stalked by someone. He paid it no mind, seeing as safety was at hand, and for a while lowered his guard. That was when a hand out of nowhere grabbed him into the alley beside the inn and held an arm around his neck while a hand covered his eyes.

For a moment his brain went into panic, but soon his breathing grew calmer as he noticed the perpetrator by instinct. "...Crimson?" He murmured with an annoyed tone.

"no~" she giggled, it was funny that he now knew her so well that even like this he knew it was her. She had gotten what she had wanted but now she wanted to see that face she really wanted. She moved her hand slowly from his eyes moving it down his cheek and to his shoulder. She moved her other arm so she was slightly hugging him from behind, though with him being taller then her it was a little strange so she moved her arms to his chest.

"how did you know it was me? " she whispered as she continued to smile.

She was right behind him in too close proximity, making it hard for him to move without pushing her out of the way. His body tensed from the contact, not being used with having her so close to him. Especially in a desolate place like this alley where there are nobody else who can see them.

"I...just know. If it's the other assassin, they won't bother keeping me alive, they'll just kill me immediately," he replied. Sniffing on the air, he sighed. "Are you...drunk? How much did you have?"

She giggled again then moved in front of him, but still cut off his way out. "not much and not enough" she said in a cute voice as she smiled at him. "but enough to make me not want to kill you for not telling us were you went" she giggled again as she moved close to him again. She just wanted to see that face once more before she left, and now that they were alone it was a perfect time.

"You..." He was about to argue, but she had skilfully made her way in front of him, and now that her face was right upon his eyes, he found his tongue lost their power to move. Under the moonlight she looked so natural, so pure...a denizen of the night at her highest moment. He was about to lose control of himself, wanting to let his hands trace upon those cheekline, moving them toward those lush lips, piercing through those eyes as he moved ever-so-closer, inch by inch...

"...I think I can go out by myself if I want to, thank you. It's not different than what you do in Lapant. At the least I wasn't going in an assassination in the middle of my job," he turned away from her sight, his hands grabbing her shoulder and stopping her from coming closer. He wasn't pushing her away, yet let her moved forward no more.

She was surprised when he had put his hand on her shoulder and looked away. "no... But you could of told us what inn we were going to stay" she said then moved back so she could look at him. She was unsure if she was being rejected or what but she stood there looking at him not moving any closer to him. "and there is a difference when an assassin and a prince disappear, I'm trained for it and have no ties to are group. You have Arty, what if she was awake? she would worry about you" she was talking in a calm quiet voice, she didn't want this to turn into a fight but she had a feeling it might.

Her answer made him felt a tinge of sadness. No ties? "Are you saying that Arty won't worry about you?" He exclaimed. "That night when you disappeared, she was awake the entire night, kept on asking me where you are. That girl loves you just like she loves me. You are not an outsider to us anymore. You are important. Norman would think so as well. For me, too, you're..."

He stopped. Scratching the back of his neck, he deliberately avoided her gaze. "I'm...sorry. It's not good for me to disappear like that, yeah, sorry. I'll at least tell you guys beforehand if I ever want to do this again."

What he said made no since to her, she was a killer an assassin who only killed for money and the enjoyment of it. She looked at him slightly surprised, but she turned calm again as she moved into his line of sight.

"I'm what?... " she asked looking at him wanting an answer. there was that feeling again in her chest it made her confused. She ignored everything else she just wanted to know what she was to him.

He didn't reply her. To be precise, he didn't want to reply her. He moved out of her way, getting out from the alley and head back to the inn. "Let's go back. Arty would be so worried right now. Or maybe she's sleeping? At any rate, I'll feel better if you stayed with her and protect her. I...I'll go back to sleep. If your chest is better we can leave tomorrow."
