Fantasy Project Anima

Crimson looked at the town an nodded as it came into view. " a good drink to numb my body would also be good" she giggled then leaned back on her horse. "I think a night here should be alright." she slowed her horse next to Artys. "will you need more then that Princess or is a night alright?" Crimson asked this in a more quiet voice as she looked at Arty for a moment. she still had that feeling of being watched but she also knew nothing was there at the same time.

Arty moved her horse closer to Crimson, using her as some kind of magical shield from Norman's threat of another story coming up. She nodded cheerfully upon Crimson's question. "Yes, that would be good. Though I would like to get miss Crimson better soon so if we need to we can stay until you are completely healed."

"Shouldn't be hard to find a healer there," Gills had joined them as well. "If nothing else, the church should be happy to help."

"Agreed," Norman chimed in. "I would love to try Zebeth's ale once more, so a night or two would be reeeal nice! Let's go, people. To the bar! ...I mean, to the town."

Crimson could only sigh she wanted to get this over quickly but hearing everyone want to stay she could do nothing. "ok we will stay a bit longer" she said then smiled at her and Norman. "though since we are now traveling together Norman and that Miss Arty likes to use my name I guess I should tell it to you" she said this as she moved back up to Norman. "when we are alone or around people that have no interest you my call me Crimson...Crimson Rose is my full name but call me what ever you would like" she smiled at him as they rode next to each other.

Norman nodded. "Crimson Rose...got it. That's a beautiful name," he winked before pacing his horse down the steep. Arty and Gills followed as well, with the elder brother helping her to control her horse as they went down. It didn't take long before they entered the sleepy town of Jackson's Hamlet, although looking at the sign on the road, it had been renamed as Jackson's Townlet with the 'Ham' part getting carved out.

It was a small settlement, although still slightly larger than a village. Several townsmen greeted them, their carefree expression showed that they were familiar with adventurers passing through their village. Norman wanted to hit the bar, but Gills stopped Crimson from following him.

"We should get your ribs looked for. Let's go to the church."

She couldn't help but blush at Normans wink and with a small smile she fallowed him to the town. it was a nice little town and it seamed to be happy for the moment, it seamed like were ever they went there was blood shed or chaos though...she had no problems with that. she was going to happily fallow Norman to the bar when Gills stopped her.

"would that be wise remember what happened last time you and me went into a church?" she laughed slightly before flinching and holding her chest. "alright fine...ill go with you" she mumbled moving her hand quickly from her chest. if there was one thing she hatted it was to show pain.

Gills smirked upon hearing her comment. "Hey. I'm not the one who made a bloodbath in the hall. I just talked with an elderly priest," when they approached the church, it was true that the building seemed to be an extension made upon the original clock tower. The wooden building jutted out from the otherwise-square tower, with a massive door as its entrance. The inside looked warm, however, and they can see some people praying to the Three Deities while the priests listening to their concern.

"Welcome to the church of Three Deities, my children. What can I help you with?" An old female priest greeted them in the hallway with a kindly smile. Gills explained that their companion, Crimson (although using fake name), had an accident which broke her ribs, and so they were looking for healers proficient in Magic as they hard that Zebeth is famous for its magecraft. The priest nodded and ushered them inside.

"We don't have healer here, but I am the one who usually helped the people in this kind of problem," a male priest took charge in her place, and led them to the church's guest room. He had Crimson to sit on a chair while he started chanting a spell. Not like the big Circles made by Cruz or Arthur, the one he made was only the size of his palm, and he slowly put it on Crimson's chest. The Circle spun and contracted until it disappeared.

"There. It should stop the pain for now, and accelerated the healing. But just because the pain is gone doesn't mean the bone is fully recovered. Please make sure that you don't move too much for a while...three of four days should do."

"Just...like that?" Gills commented. "I thought the process would be more...complicated."

"Haha, if it's a serious illness, then yes. But broken ribs would heal by itself even without the help of Magic. Something like this doesn't require any specific ritual, just sending my Mana would do."

Crimson had fallowed quietly into the church and into the guest room. it hurt to sit against the back of the chair but she remained with a strait face as he worked on the spell. she had expected it to hurt for some reason and closed her eyes. when it was done she looked at the priest surprised then poked the ribs she knew she broke. there was only a slight pain when she pushed, but it would be fine since like he said feel no more pain for the time. "thank you" she said quietly as she looked at him with a small smile. she stood up and stretched. "it feels much better"

The priest smiled in response. "I am glad to help. It is the teaching of the Three Deities that we have to help everyone. Because of such, it is customary for priests to learn healing-type Magic in this Kingdom."

"Are you okay now, miss Crimson?" Arty touched her on the ribs, where she had applied the salve before. When she wrapped up Crimson's chest, she seemed to slightly winced in pain and so she thought that if her touch didn't hurt the assassin, then the Magic must've worked.

"Yes I'm alright" she said after feeling the touch from Arty. She turned and looked at her with a sorta playful smile, that was slightly serious at the same time. "I even feel like taking on a few Jobs" she said as she put her hand on her hip.

"thank you again Priest but I must go I feel a mug of alcohol calling my name" she smiled then started to walk out of the church.

With the healing set and done, the group, led by Gills, found themselves back on the town, this time going toward that bar Norman had ended up going to. At first Gills thought it would be hard to find, but it was actually super easy. Because the target was sitting in the open area of the bar, surrounded by men, and they were cheering for something. Apparently Norman was having a sort of drinking contest, and looking at the amount of mug he had piled up on the table it looked like he was winning. The opponent didn't even come close.

"Hmm? Yoooo, it's daaaa Gills and his ladieeees, you done with your heaaaaaling?" He called out to them, half-slurring, with face as red as beet. Somehow he was still functioning, although barely...

Seeing Norman she couldn't help but laugh. "yes all healed" she laughed as she walked over beside him." I was hopping to have a few drinks with you but it seams you are having fun with someone else" she giggled as she motioned to the empty mugs in front of him.

The sight of Crimson seems to cheer Norman more than usual, and he replied in a cheerful, slurry manner. "Yeeeesh, it's been fuuuun, although this kid is such a pushhoveeer," he pointed at his opponent, the thirty-something young lad who was at the verge of puking out all the drink he had partaken. The crowds were laughing at him. Gills just watched this ridiculous scene with a silent condemnation.

"...This is ridiculous. I'll go fetch us a room for the night. You stay with Arty," he left the group, waving back to them as he disappeared into the crowd.

She nodded as she watched him go then turned to Arty. "I wonder why he didn't bring you with I'll be drinking as well" she giggled then turned back to Norman. "a few more and I bet you will be the same" she smiled as she leaned against him. "will you be good for one with me or do I need to find a drinking partner?" she teased as she smiled at him.

Norman giggled like a little girl before ordering another drink. "And one mooore for this beautiful patron, pleease," he slurred out, while the crowd cheered for the coming of this new entree. Meanwhile the previous opponent had excused himself and ran away, presumably to take a puke out.

Surprisingly, Arty took a seat beside Crimson as well. "I...want to try one too," she commented shyly. Norman seemed amused with her sudden request, and ordered a light beer for the girl. When it came, though, Arty just stared at the mug, unsure whether she really want to drink it or not.

"you know I will out drink you" she smiled at Norman as she leaned on the table her hand on her mug. She looked over at Arty and gave her a small smile. "you don't have to drink it just yet once you get into watching us you might just end up taking a drink" she placed her hand on Artys shoulder then turned back to Norman.

"ready to start back up? " she smiled at him as she moved back to learning on the table.

The bartender didn't even need her to call him out. He had gulped an entire serving of ale in one move, savoring the lingering taste made possible by secret ingredients used by Zebeth people. It was different from his usual Serion drink, and tasting it once more in his age flew him back to nostalgia. "Nobody has ever outdrink me to this day," he said rather seriously. "I'd like to see one sooner or later."

Arty was still sniffing the small mug given by Norman. The alcohol was thinned, but it might still be too strong for an uninitiated like this little princess. Nevertheless, she closed her eyes and then took a sip quickly. The taste...in one way or another, she failed to describe the taste. She just remembered that her body felt a bit hot, and her face grew warmer. "...This is good...*hic*" she slurred out.

"well you will today because I'll be the one to out drink you!" she said happily before she drank hers down. She giggled after she was done, then looked over at Arty hearing her hiccup. She started to laugh seeing her flushed face. "only after one sip and our already red in the face" she giggled as she lightly poked her arm. She teased Arty as she waited for the next mug to be set in front of her.

Arty was grinning for no reason, her consciousness gotten hazy from alcohol invading her blood stream. She pouted when Crimson poked her arm. "I'm...not reeeed... *hic*" she took another sip, this time much more than her first attempt, and her face grew redder. She hugged Crimson's arm and leaned on her side, chuckling and giggling randomly.

"Uh oh, I guess the little miss isn't suited for drink," Norman laughed. The crowds were cheering for them to continue, and the barkeep kept on getting more mugs with each one they had gulped down.

Crimson continued to drink as she watched Arty. Feeling her hug her arm and start to laugh and giggle, she could not help but to laugh. She nodded at Norman's words as she looked at her. "I guess this one will knock you out so be careful we don't want your brother freaking out" she laughed before she gulped down another mug of ale. Her body started to feel warm as she continued to drink.

Norman finished his drink before getting another. If anything the giant somehow gotten more somber the longer he was drunk. "This is a nice town. I haven't been here before as I was in Zebeth for a job, but I can say that I love Zebeth and its people. They are good drinkers and there has never been a time when I can't find friends in any bar around here," he reminisced. "Staying in this Kingdom reminds me of that girl. It has been thirty years since that job, and I've had more adventures that I can count of, but she's still the one filling my memories the most."

Crimson listened to him talk as she finished another one off. "a girl you say what was she like" she leaned on Norman slightly as she started on the next one she was given. She had hear a few stories buy nun about a girl, and this interested her to know more about him. She looked down at Arty then back at him as she drank.

Arty was still clinging on Crimson's arm, rubbing her cheek on it occasionally like a little animal. It seems when alcohol invaded her, every bit of common sense flew off her mind and she reverted to her natural instinct.

Norman smiled when Crimson asked about the girl. It wasn't his usual cheerful smile, but more like a longing one. Of a memory so far away. "She's the most beautiful pearl around the world. Long, jet-black hair, bright eyes which slowly enraptured you in, not letting go even for a moment...I still remember her slender arms, how she fit perfectly in my embrace, that faint scent of rose whenever I buried my face on her hair...well, it's an old, old tale. I don't even know if she still remember me, this good-for-nothing Norman. After all, she was the one who had rejected my offer to stay by my side. I had assumed that she would've forgotten about me."

Crimson was smiling a bit hearing him talk, another love story...her smile faded a bit when he said he was good for nothing. She let go of her mug of ale and moved it around Normans arm. "your not good for nothing you are sweet and caring" she looked at him with serious eyes then smiled.

"now let's drink more I want to lose my self tonight" she laughed as she removed her arm from Normans. She took her mug again and started to drink again. When she finished her mug she looked at Arty and giggled. "it seams you need no more" she said as she moved the mug away from Arty as she laughed.

Norman smiled upon her comment. It was his usual cheerful smile. "Well gee, thanks for the compliment," he gulped down another one, but it seems alcohol had given up trying to intoxicate him. This was his limit of drunkenness, anymore than this would just be alcohol poisoning. He smirked upon seeing Arty acting like a wild animal. This princess surely was not accustomed to this lifestyle. Not that it was a bad thing. Everyday she was experiencing something new, or so he wanted to think, and that will make her happier.

"So what's your story?" Norman turned to Crimson. "Anything to share with this old sweet and caring Norman?"

Hearing him ask about her, Crimson's face went dark for a moment remembering about her past. She quickly smiled again and picked up her Ale. "I unlike you have not had enough to drink" she laughed then gulped hers down as well as the next one given to her. She did not want to ruin the good time they were having with her life story.

"you should probably drink some water before you get alcohol poison" she giggled as she leaned on Norman as she started to drink down another mug. Her face was starting to get flushed as she leaned against him. She was feeling good and giggly, her body going numb as she drank more.
