Fantasy Project Anima

She watched him go then shook her head. "I'll be fine we can go when ever" she said as she walked out into the road. Her chest started to feel tight as she stopped in her tracks. "I'll be on the roof" she said quietly and moved back into the shadows before he could answer. She quickly made her way up and sat on the roof.

Gills watched the assassin made her way upward before disappearing from his sight. He didn't say anything else, just proceeding to his room. Norman was fast asleep on the other bed, the alcohol seems to work wonder on rendering him unconscious. He sighed and rolled to his bed. Seems it'll be a hard time to sleep.

Sitting there Crimson looked up at the moon it was so nice, peaceful. she looked down at were the two had stood before and grabbed her shirt over her chest. "what is this feeling?" she whispered to herself, it was like her heart was moving faster wile butterflys moved around in her stomach and chest. she shook her head it did not explain it right but it was the closest she could get. she took a deep breath making the feeling leave her as she looked up at the moon again, thinking about what he had said.

=== Morning ===

Birds were singing, flowers were blooming, the sound of the town getting busy entered through the slightly opened window, where sunlight crept in to warm the room which had been cooled off by the previous night. On such a great day, one girl was curled up on her bed, trembling and holding her head. She felt really bad. Stomach churning, head spinning, her entire body didn't work as it supposed to do. Basically she was having a hangover. Arty slowly rose up from her bed, trying to fight off the strong desire to puke everything in her stomach...at least until she can reach the toilet. Although, the imaginative hammer hitting her head was preventing her from getting up.

Crimson had awoken at the first sight of day and looked around. She was still on the roof. She stretched then started to make her way back down to the ground. "I wonder how the little princes is doing" she said to herself as she walked into the inn. As she passed the boy's room she stopped for only a moment before walking into her room. "how are you feeling?" she asked seeing Arty sitting up slowly.

The princess turned slowly toward the source of the voice calling to her. Seeing Crimson relieved her a bit, but the pounding still went on non-stop. "B...bad...really...bad...ugh..." she curled down, hugging her stomach. Not here, not here, not here...phew, safe for now. She looked up again. "I feel like...my head is being hit by a hammer..."

She let out a little giggle as she shut the door behind her. Seeing her take her stomach Crimson grabbed the trash can. "here princes" she said as she held the trash can to her. "I have something in may bag for the head ache" she said then moved to her bag. "you have a hangover you should of stopped drinking when I took it away" she laughed as she went though her bag.

Arty struggled to get to the edge of her bed, but finally she managed to do so and put the trash can below her. What came out next was a stream of yuck coming out from within. She felt empty afterward, strength leaving from her body, but at least no more stomachache. The pounding was still happening though.

"Ugh...I'm not...drinking anymore...I know this will happen but I kept on trying it..." she grumbled.

Crimson couldn't help but giggle at her. "here chew on this for a bit" she held out a small yellowish root to her. "it won't help quickly but it will work for your head and the rest of your stomach, hopefully it will work fast enough before your brother finds out how bad it really is" she laughed lightly thinking she would get an earful for letting his little sister drink so much.

She took the root from Crimson's hand and began to chew it. The taste wasn't that good but it's bearable, and just moving her teeth proved effective in diminishing the hangover. "Thank you," she murmured, a bit more cheerful now that her headache got better. "I don't...remember what happened yesterday...was Sir Norman talking about something...I forgot."

"your welcome" she said as she sat down next to her. "it's alright if you do not remember it was just some silly drinking then Norman carrying you here" she gave Arty a small smile as she patten her back. "how are you feeling now any better? Do you still need the bucket?" she was worried yet not at the same because the root should help. "your brother wants to leave today" she said leaning back a bit.

Arty shook her head slowly. She was getting better thanks to the puking and the root, and albeit still a bit tipsy, at the least she can form coherent thoughts now. "I'm better now. The root really works wonder," she smiled. Upon hearing that Gills wanted to leave today, she nodded. "I'm fine with it, but are you healed already, miss Crimson? We can stay longer if you still need rest..."

She pondered a bit whether she wanted to continue, but then she asked it anyway. "Say, miss Crimson, do you feel that my brother has been...distant lately? He didn't talk to me as much as I remember he used to..."

She stopped and thought for a moment, about last night. "well I'm fine but I haven't noticed the prince acting strange" lies..... " I can talk to him if you would like, maybe he is just thinking more" she leaned up and looked at her. "I'm sure he will start talking to you more if one of us says something to him" she said then stood up looking down at her.

Arty smiled upon hearing her words. "Yes...I'm sure that I can believe him," she got up from the bed as well, feeling better after the hangover passed. They would resume the journey once more, deeper into the Kingdom of Zebeth. "Shall we go, then?"

The men had been ready at the inn's lobby, Norman having a few drink while Gills just sat across of him with his eyes closed. The latter had acquired a map of the Kingdom, with the parchment spread in front of him on the table. He was reviewing their path while waiting for Arty and Crimson to come down.

She nodded as she walked down with her and seen the boys. She smiled slightly then put her arms around Norman and leaned on him. "more drinking? You almost had poisoning last night you should wait to get it out of your system" she giggled as she looked at him with a teasing smile.

Norman laughed her off. "Don't compare me to you young'uns. I've been drinking since I can drink, no kind of alcohol can poison me, hahaha!"

Gills, however, didn't look too happy that Crimson was getting too close on Norman. His face showed annoyance, but he didn't say anything. Instead he just called for their attention to the map.

"We're here," he pointed at the uppermost portion of the map. It was a large drawing of Zebeth territory, excluding the other Kingdoms. Their current location was the outermost region of Zebeth where outsiders would've arrived first. "And our destination would be the capital..."

"No," Arty interrupted him. "We're not going to the capital this time. Our target would be the Tower of Magic," she pointed toward a dot near the center of the Kingdom, a bit of distance away from the symbol marked the capital. "It is an academia for Mage apprentices. And that is where the Dragon Princess is held."

Gills raised his eyebrow when Arty mentioned the Dragon Princess so casually. Nevermind other people, but would it be fine if Norman knew? The princess just gave him a nod. It was okay.

She giggled at Norman and moved off his shoulders and bent over the table and looked at the map. "so we will be going into a school with people learning magic and taking out....stopping a dragon girl" she shook her head. "sounds fun" she smiled down at the map.

Norman still looked confused. "Dragon? What are you guys talking about?" Gills hadn't told him about it yet, but Arty also said to him that it wasn't necessary. Ordinary people would find it hard to believe. Heck, even Crimson wouldn't believe it if Gills told her beforehand. Only by experiencing it firsthand would someone understand.

"Obviously we can't enter the academy through normal means...luckily, a town was made around the Tower and they allowed outsiders to enter. We can rest there while formulating our exact plan. What say you?" Gills looked at Norman, then at Crimson.

She giggled Normans questions "don't worry you will know soon enough" she said as she put her hand on his shoulder happily. She had no idea how he would react to this but she hopped he would not get hurt. She winced slightly, why dose she care so much?

When Gills looked at her, she looked back at him. She said nothing for a moment then shrugged. "I don't care as long as I get to have some fun" she moved away from the table and looked at the door.

Norman nodded as well. Satisfied with their answer, Gills folded the map and stood up. "Let's go, then. We might have to camp along the way, but we can reach the city in around four or five days of horse-riding, granted that we don't stop midway. Will your chest be alright, Crimson?" He asked once more. He already knew the answer from last night, but he just wanted to make sure.

hearing him address her she still did not turn around and just nodded. "iv been though worse there is no need to worry about me" she said then walked out of the inn and to the stables to start to get the horses ready for there bags. she was still confused and slightly mad about last night, but she needed to forget about it, he would not tell her what he had meant.

She walked into the stables and started to brush the horses down. a week with them then she will be gone until she met up with them in the next destination. she needed to get away if it only until then, she would not abandon this job.

The rest of the group joined Crimson in the stable, brushing and cooing their respective horses as preparation for the journey. Supplies had been prepared, courtesy of Norman who seemingly is able to befriend virtually every merchant in the town, as well as arrangement for them to travel across Zebeth unhindered. A few bribes and a sob tale of finding their family was all it took to get the necessary document. It wasn't much, and most likely won't help in all troubles they might encounter from the nature of their goal, but at the very least they could reach the city firsthand.

Gills led the group to leave the city, with some youngsters following from behind and waving when they reached the outskirt. Arty recognized them as the people Norman had a drinking competition with yesterday. Norman...can really befriend everyone...

"You're already drinking again...?" Gills commented. Norman had opened his (personal) canteen and gulping down the alcohol he stashed within. A few more were at ready, in various type. Ale, wine, beer...there were also other stuffs with weird aroma, either self-made or a regional specialty.

"Drinking is best before, during, and after a journey. Remember that!" the ex-bandit laughed heartily.

Hearing that Norman was drinking again Crimson sighed and leaned back against the packs on her horse, letting it just fallow the others. "wish I had a drink" she said quietly as she looked up at the sky. She tried to figure out how to help Arty with Gills, perhaps just have her deal with it? She was not family so perhaps she souls not get involved.

She looked at Arty and sighed before looking back at the clouds, if Arty didn't say anything then she would. It's not good for siblings to not talk or talk little and Arty needs him..... Why did she care?

The long journey had been started and the group lazily moved through the vast land of Zebeth. Unlike Lapant, the terrain was more varied, with patches of grasslands and small woods around the way. Roads were placed all over the land and therefore it made an easier travel for horses. There were little number of people on the road, though, as merchants were focused on the big cities on the center of the Kingdom. As they moved closer to the Tower of Magic, they would find more people, but for now the travel was a quiet one.

Gills noticed Crimson looking melancholic, as if thinking of something. He slowed his horse so he can move to her side. "You okay? Your face looked like you're thinking on new ways to assassinate people...in unnecessarily complicated manner."

It was such a boring ride nothing interesting happened as they rode. She sighed then looked over hearing Gills voice. "not really though I have come up with ways to torture you" she looked over at him with a smirk, really only half joking.

She then sighed and looked up at the sky. "you should talk to your sister.... " she said then closed her eyes , acting like she really didnt care if he did or not. "she wants to talk to you more she thinks something is wrong" she mumbled relaxing more on the back of the horse.
