Fantasy Project Anima

Gills went silent when Crimson mentioned his sister. For a while, he gave no response to her words. "...I didn't expect you to care that much for Arty. That's good," he gave her a gentle smile. For a moment, a sad glint appeared on his eyes.

"It's not like I don't want to talk with her. It's just...I don't want her to rely to me only. Ever since she was small, she had always went to me. Not even to our parents, I was the only one that she had trusted. I guess I...just want her to be more independent. One day, when I can no longer be on her side...I wished that she would be strong enough to accept that."

"you underestimate her, she is strong....you will see that when I leave" she stretched then placed her hands behind her head as she leaned against the packs.

"and I guess I should not kill you for thinking that I fave no feelings for the one who has traveled with me for so long" she yawned bored as she slowly opened her eyes and looked at the clouds. "should I go back to my crazy black heart?" she whisper to herself and sighed. The thought of her caring gave her a slight head ache, she was unsure if it was a good thing or bad. She was an assassin she had no rights to care.

Gills smiled when she said that Arty was strong. Deep down he knew as well, yet his feeling as her brother won't acknowledge it...not as long as he could still protect her. He sighed. "You remember that I had said that Arty could see the future, right? She had told me before, that you would not leave us. Not until the end, at the least. And so I guess I can trust her...and you, to that extent. Well, the journey is still long and arduous, keep your spirit up. And I think Norman put some bottle in your pouches...just, drink moderately," he paced his horse back to the front of the group.

Crimson watched him ride ahead and sighed. "I think she is wrong this time..." she mumbled then reached into her pouch and pulled out a bottle. she opened it and smelt it, it was sweet. she took a drink of it and sighed, it tastes good. she looked back up at the sky, she had to leave she didn't want to become sane.

Unlike the journey in Lapant, nothing really happened at all for the next five days. The group would stop at night, set camps, then resumed the journey for the entire day. Norman was at first worried that Arty wouldn't hold up, but surprisingly the princess showed great endurance, at the least she didn't show any sign of fatigue to other people. Gills helped her from time to time, ensuring she won't fall off the horse when she accidentally fell asleep.

The end of the journey drew near. Upon their eyes were the shadow of a huge, looming structure rising up to the heaven. The Tower of Magic, the pride of Zebeth kingdom. On the foot of it was a large, vibrant town.

"Let's get there first before we discuss on our next plan," Gills remarked, pacing his horse toward the town's entrance.

Crimson had been board the whole time they had been traveling there was nothing for her to do and she felt like her body was slowing. She sighed seeing the tower and the town beneath. hearing Gills she nodded then remembered something she wanted to do when they got to the town. "ill fallow you until we get to a meeting point then I'm going off I think me and Arty could use different cloths" she said as she moved to Arty. "after we get what we want we will meet back up" saying this she looked at Arty with a smile. "sound like a plan?"

Gills looked at them funny, while Norman just gave off a knowing smile. "...Fine, then we'll fetch ourselves a room." With that said, Gills and Norman went off first into the town, to find a stable for the horses and an inn to stay temporarily. There was no gate at the town and so they can just come and go as they please, with more designated securities placed upon the tower so that civilians could retreat inside on the event of enemy attack...which was rare considering their close proximity to the capital.

Arty turned to Crimson with a slightly confused look. "So...what do you want to do now, miss Crimson?"

She looked over at Arty with a smile. "well we both need new cloths don't you agree I mean look at mine ripped and burnt then, yours is just....you need an actual traveling outfit" she said this as she point yes to her cloths then to Arty's. As she talked she had her horse and Arty's fallow the boys so they could drop them off then go shopping

Crimson was in no way girly she had just hatted hearing people ask, are you OK?, was it a grate fight?, and stuff like that. So it was only natural for her to go and get new cloths every once in a wile.

Her remark about their clothing made Arty giggle. She hadn't given it any thought in the slightest. The simple dress she'd worn everyday was okay for her, and the constant barrage of exciting events pushed any fashion concern to the back of her mind. "Yes, you are correct, miss Crimson. We certainly need a change of garments." She smiled.

After finding a stable to drop off their horses, Gills and Norman stuck to their plan to find an inn. Because it might be hard to regroup later, as the town has far more inns than their previous one, Norman suggested to meet up later around the time the sun reached its peak, at the town center. It was an easy spot to find. Located right in front of the entrance to the Tower, the center was a large clearing filled with pedestrians and peddlers. The meeting point would be the fountain.

Arty watched the boys went their own way, then turned to Crimson. "Shall we go, then?"

Watching them walk off she nodded. "ya let's get going I want to get you a small dagger wile we are out looking for cloths as well" as she said this she turned a bit to her and smiled. "come on I think there was a shop that had a outfit that would match you perfectly" as she said this she started to walk the opposite way of the guys.

Arty linked her arm with Crimson's, then followed beside the assassin while humming a cheerful tone. "Hmm~ this is exciting. It's the first time you ever took me shopping," she remarked. "But why do you want to get me a small dagger, miss Crimson?" The ability of her Dragon, Steel, allowed her to create and manipulate bladed weapons at her will, and so she had never thought of getting a weapon this entire time.

Crimson looked at her for a moment then back up. "because you should learn to use one and not use your magic" she said this as she moved them to a small shop that had weapons. She had thought this would be something fun that they could do at least once. "you don't need a big one just something small you never no when you need it" she looked over at a few of the smaller ones. "see any you like?" she asked looking at her.

The store owner whistled upon seeing the two ladies entering his store. "Welcome to Rilmo's. I got everything from the rarest sword from the Eastern or the sharpest lance to gut animals from afar. What would you like to get?" He eyed Crimson, knowing from his long experience in the shop how to distinguish between a fighter and a normal person.

Arty was looking on the selection of small daggers Crimson had pointed at. They were heavily decorated, crafted more as ornaments rather than killing tools, yet their edge was as sharp as any swords, and those who underestimated their potential would rue the day they let down their guards. She pointed at a small dagger with carving of birds on its handle. She liked the design emphasized on the hilt and handle, while still simple enough not to disturb the wielder's grip. "I like that one," she said to Crimson.

She gave the store owner a small smile and a wink before turning to Arty. she nodded as she picked up the blade and looked it over. "i think this blade works well for you its small and has character like you" she smiled slightly down at Arty. "we would like this one please" she smiled at the man as she held it out to show him what one it was.

The store owner nodded enthusiastically, going on and on about the greatness of the dagger...although it was more like a sales pitch. Nevertheless, Arty seemed to love the dagger already, and so without needing further advertisement firmly decided to buy it. She placed the dagger atop her hands and stared at it fondly.

"This is the first time you ever bought me something by yourself, miss Crimson," she smiled, "thank you so much. I'll cherish it."

"What about you, miss? You look like someone who can use a better weapon! Check out these swords, crafted with the wisdom of the Eastern Front while fitted to our style."

He pulled out some swords, each with differing design, although the blade indeed looked sharp. Frankly, this 'wisdom of the Eastern' thing sounded like a scam, because as the blades were indeed sharp, they weren't that different from the usual.

Crimson let out a light laugh at her words. "your welcome ill help you with practice if you would like as well" she gave her a soft smile then turned to the man. "ok ill make you a deal if you can find twin swords that can with stand my dagger then ill buy that and give you a kiss" she leaned on the counter and smiled at him, knowing this was all just talk and that her dagger would most likely cut right though them. "if not though we get the dagger half off" she smiled at him then tipped her head cutely. "do we have a deal?"

Glancing at Crimson's dagger on her hip, which looked like your run-of-the-mill dagger saves for a few ornaments on its handle, the store owner laughed. "Seriously? Well, it's on then, missy. Here's my pride and joy, the Twin Sword of Abascus! They were handcrafted by an Eastern blacksmith, bathed in enemies' blood, hunger for the right person to wield them and wreak havoc! If that small dagger can break through them, nevermind half, I'll give you that dagger for free!"

He pulled out two identical swords and hold them so the blade stood up, confident in his victory. They were good swords, that was for sure, but obviously just normal swords...Arty couldn't help but giggled a bit.

"ohhh they look lovely I don't think my dagger could go though those" she said with a smile pout, then pulled out her dagger with a little spin. her pout turned into a smile as she gripped her dagger. "alright handsome here we go" she giggled then let her blade drop down on the swords. after her dagger came down she sinned the dagger again then put it in its sheath. "I think the dagger is free no?" she giggled and as she put her hand on her hip both swords were cut in half.

The store owner's smile abruptly changed into a jawdrop, and even after Crimson's dagger sliced through the blades like butter, splitting them without any effort at all, he still haven't recovered from the shock. Arty couldn't hold her laughter anymore, and tugged Crimson's sleeve to get her out of the store.

"Ahaha, his face is priceless!" She remarked when they had went outside. He was still literally staring at the cut blade like an idiot, not believing his eyes. "Animus blades really are sharp...I still can't believe it no matter how many times I had seen it." Arty giggled. They got the dagger for free.

Crimson let out a light laugh at the man's face and slowly fallowed her out still wanting to see it. She always liked the look on people's faces when she dose stuff unexpected. "I'm so glad I came across it" she giggled as she patted the dagger at her hip. "now we got your dagger one to the next shop, to get some cloths"

"stop me if you see any you like on the way to the one I want to hit" she said as she looked at her with a small smile. "and we will have to get a belt that matches for that" she said this as she pointed to the dagger.

Arty nodded enthusiastically. "Hmmhm, I'll just follow you, miss Crimson." To wander around the city and window shopped like this was a relatively new experience for her. When she was young, she was mainly confined in the castle, being taught of being a royalty. Not even her brother had the freedom to walk around at will, although his more rebellious spirit would find him sneaking out of the castle at night, wandering around the city. He didn't bring Arty with him, though. Too dangerous, and Arty herself didn't want to. She didn't have enough time, after all...

Her eyes moved around from shop to shop, looking at the clothes displayed on their window. They looked simpler than her old dresses in her hometown, but she liked them better.

Crimson nodded as she started to walk with Arty down the street. this was a first for her, actually shopping with someone. she had grown up with other girls, but there minds were all on there jobs. she never minded though she loved the assassin life. "its over here" she said as she lead Arty over to a nice looking store. "I know I seen a outfit that would match with you" she moved around the store looking around. "here it is, its a little grown up but I think it will look good on you" she smiled at her as she held it up.

Arty followed her into the store, waiting near the entrance while Crimson rummaged around. She blushed a bit upon seeing the clothes Crimson had chosen for her. It still showed less skin than what Crimson usually wear, but it was, like she said, felt a bit too 'grown-up' for her. "The skirt seems...to short," she commented shyly.

Crimson looked at it and let out a little laugh. "dont worry it comes with pants and long boots" she handed her the dress and pants. "here we go and look a belt as well" she giggled as she picked up some boots. "alright my turn" she walked around some more and picked some cloths out and smiled. "OK let's change, pay then go meet up with the boys" she said then put the boots in her arms as well before going in a back room to change.

Arty followed the assassin to the back room and started to change as well, putting the clothes on, and then the cloak coming with it as well. The pants and gloves covered her skin well, giving it a somewhat modest look, but she still felt uncomfortable and kept on pulling down the skirt. The slit on the side didn't help either. She did agree that it was easier to move with rather than her dress.

"I guess I can get used to this," Arty giggled a bit, her cheek still had a little flush of red. "I wonder if brother would like it?"
