Fantasy [Private] El Stories

"That was a much-needed rest! I think I'll go get some breakfast. Raven, hurry up!"

"Slow down, Rena. Add's still in the bathroom."

"Well tell him to make it quick."

"Shut up! I'll take as long as I want! The stress is killing me, and I will not listen to an elf!"

"He's been like this since last night. Don't worry about it."

"Damn right I am! How the hell are both of you so calm?!"

Rena is in a better mood than last night. She chuckles as she hops down the stairs with Raven and a grumpy Add in tow. They decided to check on Rain and Oblivio after getting some food in their stomachs. The elf finds Tureen aggressively chewing on some of the fruit in her bowl, and she remembers the ominous command she had given her last night. Suddenly, the room is slowly plunging into a fog of awkwardness, which Rena tries to dispel by animatedly ordering a veggie wrap. Add mumbles about not being hungry, but the elf, adopting her sinister glare, orders him to get something.

"Tch...waffles then..."

The three of them, after getting their food, sit down at a table in the middle. As they tear through their breakfast, Raven brings up the topic of Rain and Oblivio.

"You don't think that Rain is dead, right? From what I know, it would be hard to get rid of her."

"She's fine. Trust me."

"Really? Then tell me why the hell you know that she's dead."

"Rain...is a special case. She's not part of the living, but she's also not part of the dead. She's trapped in between."

"So like a ghost with lingering regrets?" Rena nods at his clarification. It's really the simplest way to put it without going into her story. "So what now? Do we just wait for her? Oblivio is out as well, but he's probably going to be up before she is."

"That depends on Oblivio then. He is our leader. Chances are that he probably won't abandon Rain, but if he does, then we will as well."

"She's been very helpful to us, but I understand that we have to keep moving. Let's wait on Oblivio's decision then."

He went to check up on Rain, only to notice that her body was completely cold. Was she dead? He couldn't simply abandon her here in Altera, even when the group needed to get going. There was an ability he had. He created pocket dimensions before and could do so now. It wouldn't be a big one, but it would be similar to storing a...dead body. Sighing to himself, he created a pocket dimension and stored Rain's body in it. It was rather hard to carry a limp corpse into it.

"Alright...time to get moving..." He tidied himself up before exiting the room.

Ash

Ash dug his katana into the head of the last demon commander in the area.

"Deactivated. Their..I stopped Transcendence." Athena said as Ash was reverted back to his regular clothing. Ash looked up gasping as Athena appeared before him, she held her hand against his chest, the flow of her magic could be felt as Ash's wounds closed. Ash looked at her, "Thank you." Ash said, Athena nodded her head, vanishing once again. Cai Er ran towards Ash, stopping just right in front of him.

"Father, the citizens have evacuated, all that remains are the gigantic-" before she could finish a 30 foot demons stood before Ash and Cai Er they numbered 6 . One raised hid hands above hid head as if he was going to destroy the ground. "Cai Er move!" Ash pushed Cai Er out of the way as he changed into the Minotaurous Armor, catching the hands of one of the huge demons. They didn't let that stand, another one punched Ash on the side sending him flying.

Ash landed hardly on the ground. His 25 foot armored appearance almost compared to tbis new demon type. Steam released from Ash's shoulder plates as he stood up.
"Minotaurous online." Ash summoned forth the large flaming blade, one of the six leaped into the air as another rushed Ash from the front. He went for an upward slash while tryimg to invade the other one but the plan failed. Ash was crushed against a building by the rusher, he could feel his armor cave in something that never happened before, only when he fought Dust. "Did the demons gain a new power?" Ash wondered, as the pain kicked in, he looked down to see that the demon had him in a death grip.

Cai Er couldn't stand and watch, she tried charging the demon but before she could the others abstructed her way.

Ash gasped for air as his minotaurous armor failed,
"So...these are the Uno Hounds..." one grabbed Ash's right arm and yanked the armor off.

"Ash retreat, get a footing or you'll be done in!" Arez said, "What the hell are with these demons, they where never this strong."

"That's because he's missing part of his power." A voice rang in Ash's head, his conscience was moved to an empty space, Ash saw Athena and Ares in there. "Ares, Athena..where are we?" Ash asked.

"...Cronos summoned us. " athena said as a gigantic white beast appeared in front of Ash, it was larger than any of Xaviers dragons.

"The time is closing in guardian, soon you'll awaken the full potentiality of your powers the rise even higher. For now, I will unlock the first gate for you. The rest will be released on your own." Cronos said, as the space shattered and Ash returned to the moment. He exploded with energy sending the uno hound flying.

"Seems it has come to this."

"We are here for you Ash."

"Pólmos. Celestial Titanium." The voices of Ash, Ares and Athena resounded together as Ash glowed brightly, as his new armoured appearance formed on his body.

One moment, she's in a comfy bed revisiting a fond memory of her and Rui, and the next, she's somewhere cold, laying on something hard. Her eyes snap open, and she is greeted with darkness.

"Great, where am I? Can't a girl rest for a bit?"

She stands up slowly, feeling around with her hands for anything. Rain doesn't step forward at first, wary that there's a trap nearby. Waving her hands to test her powers, she sighs in relief when the bright blue liquid appears from her fingers. "Okay, so that works. Think, Rain. What could possibly put you here?"

Her first thoughts went to Henir. He has a very good reason to put her in such a place: to bore her for eternity. That way, unless she begs to be released, she'll be stuck here forever, never finding rest and never finding something interesting to entertain her. That would definitely be the worst possible end for her. Even the energy that supplies her corpse won't be able to be integrated into Elrios, leaving her in a state of limbo.

Oh El, she needs to find a way out. Her life can't end like this.

Her hand touches something solid. A wall? She pushes against it, but as expected, it doesn't budge. She knocks on it once, observing for any disturbances that her fist makes. Nothing.

"So he intends to bury me in darkness. No salvation...and no freedom. How cruel...this is worse than reliving the same, hopeless nightmare again and again."

Rain collapses onto the floor and closes her eyes. There's no one who would mourn her. Her friends are already dead. Her love is dead. Her other self is living in a world that she desperately wants to be in. And even before she traveled with the El Search Party...her humanity is gone. Her thoughts are as cold as her body, and unlike her conversation with Henir, she couldn't even bring herself to laugh at her predicament. So instead, she falls asleep again, not caring when she wakes up. She would rather escape to her dream-like memories of her and Rui, where they'll always be together...forever.

He felt a certain emotion pouring from the gap in the pocket dimension. That made sense after all. He usually created pocket dimensions like this when he needed to carry a dead body. It was probably rude of him to hide a comrade's body in such a place, but what other choice did he have?

The Order would command him to kill those that were useless to them and bring back evidence. A head, an arm, a torso, an organ, a bone, anything to identify them with. He remembered picking up and hacking away limbs just to bring them back. He tried to empty out his heart when he realized the consequences of murder; leaving children without parents, wives without husbands, husbands without wives. That hurt more than the broken bones he brought back. Like a dog to his master, he fetched these corpses often. His victims were dead, but he was still alive to live with the sins hacking through him.

He sighed, he should check. He opened the pocket dimension to see a sleeping Rain.

"Was too late, huh?" He observed the pocket dimension he was too familiar with and added in light before shutting it again. He left a note telling her to knock on the wall fabric when she was awake.

"Oh, Oblivio! I'm glad that you're alright. Add just told us how he had to knock you out last night. Care to eat with us?" The elf was the first to spot Oblivio head into the dining area. She waves him over to them. Raven is still picking apart his breakfast, but Add immediately runs over to his brother and apologizes for his slap, fussing like family should.

"Where's Rain? Are we leaving her behind?"

"I'd say we ditch her. She's been nothing but trouble, and now she's gone up and died on us. What a pain..."

"Take that back."

Those three words spark something more than just petty fear. Rena's malicious aura escalates as she glares at Add. "I will not tolerate you slandering my friend like that. She tried her best to save your brother not once, but twice now!"

Raven pats the combat ranger on the shoulder, a light touch that was meant to calm the elf down. "Both of you, enough. Especially you, Add. Why are you so hostile to Rain?"

"Tch..." He doesn't bother to answer Raven's question.

K KizayaTaishuro

Carna sighed and said, "Add, you dropped something."

It seemed that he had to give his older brother a lecture for once. He didn't exactly expect his brother to actually look down, but that was exactly what he did. He flicked the nose upwards.

"I think it's time you stop being a self-righteous asshole," he said firmly. "Rena's right. Rain has saved me two times and you say she's been nothing but trouble? So was her saving me, trouble? If she's been nothing but trouble, then are you saying she should've never been in our group? I'm sorry to say, but I would've been dead if she hadn't been here. Unless that's what you want."

Lara
The priestess looked up towards the group of people that had entered. She listened carefully what they were saying and frowned after hearing that Rain was like a ghost and that she had saved Oblivio's life twice in a row. Something told her that Rain had changed, or maybe Henir was putting forth another pawn in his army to destroy Ishmael.

She thought of talking with them and gather more info, but then she remembered what Rena had said and she was hesitant. After weighing up the pros and the cons, she finally decided to get up and talk to them after they finished arguing about Add's attitude. The white-haired teenager simply mumbled an apology before being reduced to silence. A tense aura was brought by the silence that followed his apology. If they were leaving, this would be her last opportunity to talk to them, her last chance to figure out if they would be useful to her quest or not. This last thought reminded her of what Lento had said to her and she felt a little guilty about her own reflexes of survival. Her goals weren't bad and this time, she would try to not manipulate anyone anymore. Her fate needed to change.

"Good morning Rena, good morning Oblivio and Add. What a coincidence to find ourselves reunited again in such simple circumstances. I hope I didn't interrupt something important..."

[Day 2]

"Archers! Buckle your knees, aim, stay and fire!" Dust commanded as many on the training field were practicing for upcoming battles.

"Yes, sir!" Many races yelled back at him, repeating their action over and over again.

He didn't need to show up to them mind you, no demon commander would waste their time to educate much less aid the lower tier to grow. But he wasn't like them, he had roots here and he'd be damned if that would differentiate him from the rest.

"Spear man, I don't see you stabbing that training dummy! Show that thing what a demon can do!"

"Yeeearrrrhh!!" They shouted as they were more violent against their opponent.

"Shields, you call that protecting and stunning your opponent!? Shield bash them like you mean it and bend those knees!"

"Yes, commander, sir!" They replied back to him blocking the many blows from the hammer wielding demons.

"I've seen better demons wielding those war hammers! Grab the handle by the back and use your momentum to strike them!"

"Right, sir!" They replied doing his orders, after a few tries they started to change their style in a more intelligent manner than just brains for brawl.

As he walked, his armor changed yet again, being thinner yet it still remained with the same protection as before, almost acting as a second skin to him. It strangely puzzled him how the longer he wore it, the more it changed to accommodate him. He can swear that he can even wear his clothes over it and people will just think he's not wearing armor.

"This is creeping me a little out..." He thought to himself as he looked at his hand, looking less demonic with it's claws sharpen yet human like. He could swear that he saw a pulse like substance flow from the arm and seemed to increase his muscle mass.

At the corner of his eye he saw an interesting sight. Some demons started using caestus on their hands and punching against the practice dummies. What was a caestus you ask? Something that Dust used before starting in the army. tough leather covered with strong iron, making punching someone much more brutal than before.

"When did they started using those?" He asked the instructor towards the faction, he chuckled to himself before pointing at them.

"They've been practicing with them since you were gone, commander! You can say that they took a shine towards your style and started copying it to themselves and making new ways to be more powerful. They want to take the fight with their own hands, just like you did all those years back. Guess you can say that they are the new students of the fist."

"That's something. Put more backbone on your strikes damn it! Clench hard and knock their heads off!"
He yelled at them.

"Yes, commander Dust!" They shouted in unison, gathering more spirit into their fists and attacking with more strength than before.

"That's more like it!" He commented before meeting face to face with the new recruits, the Uno hounds. Creations from Joaquin that were put in to more pain on their bodies to become the strongest fighters with dark el enhancement. "What do you lot want?" He asked with sharp eyes.

"We StRoNgEr ThAn YoU!" They announced while beating on their chest, their voice booming with confidence and power.

"Is that so? You, me, arena. Now. Trainer, keep the soldiers training. I'm going to make sure these guys learn their lesson." He ordered while having a dangerous glint in his golden eyes, cracking his fingers in anticipation.

"Sure, but don't expect me to clean up your mess." He warned him.

"When did I leave one?" He answered back while closing the door behind him. Sooner or later, the building that housed the arena vibrated with the sheer force of their attacks. Today was going to be a stress relief day.

Phantom returned to the dragons, shaking his hair dry after finding a nice body of water to bathe in. The priest was rubbing his neck at a new black mark decorating the skin there. It was pretty sore when he woke up this morning, not adding to the stiffness of sleeping with his cloak as a pillow but the nomad was used to that pain so it wasn't worth noting. His left eye also felt a bit weird when awoke as well, and Phantom sighed and rubbed his eye as well.

Do you feel a bit better my child? Xiopetec asked. She was the one who offered to her priest that a cold bath would help the priest with his pain.

"A little bit," Phantom sighed as he refolded his cloak and draped it over his arm. "But that's the only thing that felt different. How am I gonna know you took more of a presence?"

Don't be impatient my precious child. I've already taken more of a presence, just give it time to settle and manifest itself naturally. Xiopetec gave a little giggle.

The priest scoffed. "Alright."

Phantom stopped walking when he saw Xavier. "Good morning Xavier!" He greeted with a half smile and then he saw the bread rolls his comrade held. "Can I have one of those? I haven't eaten yet and if we're gonna head out I'd prefer to not have an empty stomach."

Late Late

"No, that's not what I meant! ...Sorry. It's just ever since she came, you've been having more and more contact with Henir and..."

He trails off, suddenly ashamed for his words. Raven pats Add's shoulder, as if to express approval for his apology. Rena still glares at him, but it slightly diminishes when she hears Tureen greet them.

"Ah, good morning to you too, Tureen. We just finished lecturing this kid, so you're not interrupting anything."

Add doesn't seem to retaliate, though a pained frown mars his face. Raven introduces himself with a simple grunt of his name, but it seems like Tureen is more interested in Rena and Oblivio.

"We're just about to head out. Is there something you need from us?"

...
"Rain. Rain, wake up." She imagined Rui shaking her lightly, attempting to wake her up. "You're such a sleepy siren. Come on, get up now. You have things to do, remember?" He goes to push aside the curtains to let the sunlight in, and Rain grimaces at the invading beam of light.

"Hah!"

She wakes, gasping at nothing. That's right...there isn't supposed to be any light here, and yet...there is? Rain covers her eyes as a small ball of yellow light flickers in her face.
"T-Too bright!" As if it can understand her, the ball floats away far enough for the singer to regain her bearings.

"What...? Light? Why would he put this...?"

Her voice trails off when a note underneath the ball of light hangs in the air patiently. She slowly inches her way over, squinting as she gets closer to the orb, and grabs the thin sheet of paper. "Knock on the walls when you're awake...Oblivio?!"

Wait, so the person who put her here isn't Henir, but Oblivio? She almost felt joy at this realization. "If only I could...but this is good news for me. At least now I can definitely escape." But the question is, "Does she want to?" She hadn't noticed how tired she is, and with only a crude imitation of a soul fueling her body, Rain wanted nothing more than to revel in her lost days for just a bit longer. With the light following her, the singer places her fist on the wall and knocks out a message, trying her best to convey it with accented hits and the correct speed, as if she's talking.

"I. Want. To. Sleep. For. A. Bit. Longer."

Lara glanced at the raven-haired man and introduced herself briefly after apologizing for ignoring him. The way the elf asked her question made her smile fade away and she sat down in front of the group of four people.

"Ah, well, you see... I'm once again out of jobs to do. But! I've learned a lot from my numerous travels, so I guess you'd have me in and I can give you information, scouting, combat assistance, things like that, in exchange. To the very best of my capacities, of course. I only wish to receive other information of interest in exchange, no money or other favours. What do you think?"

She had taken a polite voice to begin her negotiations. The only thing left was to hope that they would all accept.

Xavier opened an eye when Phantom approached him for a piece of bread. He mumbled out a “morning” and handed him at least two bread rolls. “Tell me if you want any more...I think its best that we start moving now. I didn’t realize it would be a bit of waste of time just to catch up with old allies,” Xavier mumbled and stopped himself for a moment.

Did he meant that? The drinks only gave him company, as well drunk Lara. Plus, talking to Rena was nice after all. Despite the disturbing information. It was probably Perkisas feeding him negative thoughts. Except, Perkisas haven’t said much ever since Xavier accepted to work under Ishmael. Not a word. Should he be concerned? It did bothered him yet his thoughts were interrupted when Ivy shifted and started to stand.

“Let’s move out then,” Ivy said, as her vines helped Xavier to get on his feet. The other two dragons were ready as well. Xavier nodded his head and start to put back on his gauntlets, his head feeling better than before.

As Phantom got his share of breakfast, the bread rolls, and the dragons were set to leave, they were off. It wasn't hard to retrace their steps back to the Return Plains and found the entrance to the transporting tunnels, where the main parasite lives deep into the ground. The air was rather uncomfortable for Xavier, it was humid and contaminated. Aragorn was a bit bothered by it too yet brushed it off as Octavia and Ivy were fine with the area. They did run into some complications through the tunnels, corrupted nasods everywhere they go yet they seem to go out quickly with fire. In fact, Aragorn's flames and Xavier's firepower burned through the spores, weakening up the area to make it easier to breathe through the air. Yet Xavier noticed his change of fire, the size of his flames seem to decrease throughout his attacks. He believes that it was just the humid air effecting him. Within hours, they finally reached the overgrown Alterasia Plant that was guarding its location. It took advantage of the machines around it, using the cannons and shield to protect itself from being destroyed. Of course after having experiences with cannons in battle and the shields were rather easy to rip apart, the parasite was destroyed by the group. After that, they took a break. The atmosphere seemed to freshen up after the parasite was destroyed, spores were less produced and nasods seem to be breaking down now that nothing can control them right. After having a nice look around where they sat, they knew that the area was a perfect living space for Ivy.

It took at least two days for the contamination to be cleared out and for Ivy to refurnish back her lost energy. After those two days, other plants were sprouting in the tunnels, making it a rather friendly environment. Xavier was pleased with the work they have done, though he knows now that Ivy has to stay here as she vulnerable outside from her life source. It was a tough thing, especially since they are on a floating island, not close to anyone from below. They do have to say their goodbyes.

On their last day, Aragorn and Octavia were first to wish her farewell, making promises to visit her whenever they can. As well promises to stay alive. Ivy doesn't seem to look too sad that they're leaving her behind now, yet she knows that they have more important things to do. Xavier wasn't sure what he can say to her when she walked up to the dragon. Ivy definitely looks healthy from up close, the moss on her body were fresh as her horns seem to be sprouting a few buds of their own. The nature dragon leaned down to sniff Xavier before giving a small nuzzle.

"Just don't say goodbye, we'll see each other again, Xavier," Ivy said to him. "Please watch out for the other dragons, and your allies. If things get difficult, just don't lose hope. There's always a light at the end of the dark tunnel."

Xavier simply smiled at Ivy, petting her face softly as he mumbled his thanks for her help. He eventually moved away, thinking that Phantom probably want to say something to the dragon. He waited around, yet truthfully, he tried to communicate with Perkisas. Xavier threw every insult he can think of at the celestial beast but no reply. Only a sense of loss. He did his best to not look upset in front of others.

Phant0m Phant0m

Phantom walked up to Ivy and he put his hand out to pat her snout but held back, unsure of how far he can go when it came to giving the dragon affectionate touches. "We haven't known each other long Ivy," The priest began and he gave a soft smile, "But I enjoyed your company and appreciate you helping with my aversion to flights. I'd like to say that we've grown as acquaintances...." Phantom paused and he felt his cheeks go warm as he squirmed a bit at the realization that the others were probably listening to this sappy monologue.

The priest also hated saying goodbye.

"I'll keep everyone healed up so we can all visit you again, Ivy," He continued, "Thank you. For all that you've done for us." Phantom chuckled, albeit awkwardly. "Maybe we can have a nice discussion about forest-life!"

Late Late

Ivy slowly nodded her head at Phantom's words, a slight smile on her face. "I think I'll enjoy that discussion if we do meet again. Don't waste too much energy when you're healing others. If Aragorn gives you a hard time with flying, just tug on his scales around his neck," Ivy joked.

"Hey, how about we have Phanny here ride on Octavia this time?" Aragorn mumbled out, frowning.

"His name is Phantom," Octavia corrected the red dragon.

"Phantom, whatever."

After sharing an awkward silence with Ivy, the nature dragon eventually had to usher them out as if the silence was annoying her in a strange way. Once they were out of the tunnels, Ivy turns away from them so she can rebuild her new home. Xavier sighed, nodding his head at their accomplishment. His first thought was to return back to Feita but he quickly remembered that Ishmael told him about Feita's disappearance and how the people moved to a different location. Just where, exactly? Before Xavier could tell them what they should do next, a blue portal suddenly opened up in front of them. The group jumped back in surprise, the dragons starting to growl defensively as Komodo was brave enough to stand in front of Xavier to protect from the doorway. Yet Xavier wasn't alarmed, he left like it was coming eventually. Ishmael is going to pick him up.

A man stepped out of the portal, wearing white clothing with golden armor and carried a soft smile on his face. Xavier didn't recognize this strange man, who had white hair with soft blond highlights as if to match what he was wearing. The stranger look at Xavier, the smile seems to increase in excitement.

"Hello Xavier, glad to finally meet you. I am here to pick you up, Ishmael is eagerly waiting for you to start your training," the man said to him with a kind voice.

"What?" Aragorn's voice was in disbelief, staring at Xavier in surprise. Even Octavia was shocked too, unable to form words. "When did this happen...?" Aragorn asked, not sounding upset but shocked.

"Ooooh, you didn't tell them. Well, it's not really best to tell anyone about it but I am afraid we can't wait long," the man said, looking at the dragons. "My~ such magnificent creatures! I forgot when the last time I saw dragons..." There was a strange edge in his voice but the man continued to smile at the group as if there was nothing wrong.

"I'm...sorry. I don't know why I didn't tell you guys about this," Xavier said as he turns to the group, earning sad looks from both dragons. The man behind him sighed, knowing he'll wait at least so Xavier can say a couple of words. "This...is really sudden, isn't it?"

"Will you be back?" Octavia asked quietly.

Xavier did not know the answer to that question. He doesn't know how long Ishmael will have him with her. He just gave a hopeful shrug at the question. "I...seriously wish I told you guys about this..."

Aragorn finally started to frown, looking upset that his closest friend was going to leave them. Yet he tried to not be upset. It's the greatest honor for a goddess wanting someone to join her court. He can at least be a bit respectful of the goddess' wishes.

Xavier looks at Phantom, not sure what can he say to him. "I know we don't really...connect much, Phantom. You have some strange quirks, but at the very least...look after the dragons, yeah? Try to find the others and don't go back to Feita, the place doesn't exist anymore, but the other dragons are safe!" Xavier quickly said as Aragorn and Octavia had a scared look on their face. "Just...try to stay safe," Xavier mumbled.

The man behind him cleared his throat, impatient to get going. He had no time at all to even say anything more. Not even Perkisas bothered to have objections. Or if Perkisas existing up to this point.

Ash
The power r hat flowed through hinhim seemed to heal his wounds as he felt lighter than ever, stronger, faster.

He raised his shield as one of the uno hounds carshed him. With a swing of his shield the hound was sent flying.

"Gas cannon, fire." The jewel on his shield charged up as a beam of light fired out consuming one of the hounds.

Ash turned hiams gazed to the other hounds, lunging forward Ash's mechanical wings spred, as he vanished into a blue stream of light. His sword penetrating through the chest of the uno hound.
"Two down, 4 remain." The unified voices of Ash, Ares and Athena sounded off.

The remaining hounds looked at Ash with hesitation, they didn't know if they should continue or not.

After a stare down the hounds decided to retreat for now.

"With that Pólmos..we have succeeded escaping death." Ares said.

"Indeed, I've never thought of a fusion like this to be possible." Athena said.

Ash looked up towards the camp.
"Time to return, Cai Er should have arrived." With that Ash spread his wings and flew at high speeds back to the camp. In only a few minutes he already arrived, when he entered the guild hall, Cai Er was surrounded by men in white armor.

One of them turned to Ash, "It's him! The one who destroyed Feita. You, stop where you are, the church has a warrant for your arrest, in the name of the goddess Ishmael stand down!"

The knights pulled there swords out. Cai Er evaluating the situation, knocked two of the knights out cold, fleeing towards Ash.

Ash didn't let this chance slip buy and ran right behind her.

"We must get out of here now!" Ash yelled, when they arrived outside, mages of the church and more knights waited for them. The mages casted a fire spell, but Ash was ready. His shield raised, he pulled Cai Er close to his body. As he spread his wings once again, "Pólmos!" Ash equipped the Ares armor as his wings turned to steel, he bolted into the sky, as dozens of fireballs and spears of light struck his armor.

The pain was bearable for the time being,
"Turning on Booster, you'll have increased speed and endurance for as long as your body can hold, try and get far from here for now." Athena said. Ash flew through the sky faster than Any flying ship that he saw soring.

After a few minutes the blood loss was catching up to him. As his speed of flight was decreasing. Cai Er looked up at him.

"Master, I'll take over! You need to save up your enegry." Cai Er said.

Before Ash knew it, Cai Er was carrying his armoured body, in her demonic form.

The next time Ash regained his senses he was in a dark underground looking area with houses and the such. He could see weird creatures, Cai Er was a few feet away from him, badly wounded. He tried to stand up, his armoured state still active.Causing him to slip out again, falling hard om the ground once more.

"You're going to be resting for a while Ash."

"Seems the ponggo can't lift him up, the armor weighs a ton!" Ares said. Ash didn't know what was going on but, just listened to Athena and rested. "Stay safe Cai Er..."

Lento
He was still shaken by what Lara had looked like. It would get a long time before he'd accept it, but he told himself that if he didn't absorb too many souls, he might evade that fate. He mentally began to ask his question, but he felt his link blocked by something. He looked around to see Yullr, gathering forest spirits around him as he turned around to face him.

"Commander Asini. You...aren't really alive anymore, are you?"
Yullr Mirawynn's voice sounded like he was talking from the end of a long tunnel. Was this the difference between forest spirits and a cannibal who had absorbed a part of the void and hundreds of other souls?

"...You're right Commander Mirawynn. Many things happened to me during my months of absence."
"Months? It was only a matter of weeks, Asini. That's what I heard Miss Landar and Mr. Allegro say."

Lento widened his eyes, but understood that Lara's world was really something disconnected from the real world.
"Ah, that's true. My apologies, I guess those weeks seemed really long to me. How are those barracks coming along?"
"Oh, yes. The construction is steady, just like the windmills. I must say that having this forest around us is a good and a bad thing. I'm glad to know that your mind is intact, Asini. Usually...well. but if you can... Oh!"
"I-Is something the matter, Mirawynn?"
"You can't really talk, but if I find a way to make your soul talk instead... I'd need Miss Landar's and Allegro's help."

Aisha tilted her head at the elf's plan, but Allegro seemed so willing to try it that she accepted. It was a very complicated magic to put in any object, but if they could make things better for Lento, she had no grounds to refuse. He had helped to save his town and planned the construction of the new village.
"Fine. I'll help you guys out. It won't be easy, but it's the least I can do to help."

He looked at her for a moment, finally remembering who she was. Carna had met her before when he was still known as Oblivio (though he was still known as it now). She had given the El Shard to him and he had escaped with it into the demon realm. That was a long time ago--yet not quite so far.

"Sure," he said. "The more, the merrier."

It wouldn't be a problem and like he had previously said, the more people, the more better it would be. Maybe he felt like catching up, or just plain talking to her. Strange, he had gotten more optimistic and communicative since he joined up with Dust. After he decided he wasn't going to be a zealot, he had definitely changed dramatically.

He then heard a knock, and a few more after that. Since it was his pocket dimension, only he heard it. There were several more knocks as if prolonged, or short, and similar to a certain code. Morse? Luckily, he knew it from studying.

"Oh well, welcome aboard, Tureen! It's good to have more allies."

"Hmpt...welcome to the crew, I guess."

Raven, instead of getting to know Tureen a bit more, whispers to Oblivio, "So are we leaving Rain here?"

His leader gives him a weird look, as if to dissuade the weapon taker from urging an answer from him. He assumes that that means yes, and while she has invaluable knowledge to them (and him specifically, since she's able to teach him about his Nasod arm with frightening confidence and accuracy), he must respect Oblivio's command.

"Alright then, let's head out."

...
"I hope Oblivio got that...Time to take another nap, I guess." The ball of light flickers closely to her face, flashing indignantly. "I'm not going out for a while. Now that I know it's a temporary haven, I might as well use it. Besides, they're capable people. They don't really need me."

The light dims, almost as if it's sad, and Rain couldn't help the frown spreading on her face. "I can't believe I'm doing this but...fine. I'll stay up for a bit." She sits on the floor and beckons the light to come closer. A wave of her hand summons a trail of water that circles around her body. "When was the last time I've danced for myself...? I've forgotten what it feels like."

"Would you like to dance?" She asks the ball of light as if it's her beloved Rui. And with as much energy as she possesses, Rain dances with vigor, momentarily forgetting everything about the outside world.

Cai Er
Suddenly with a loud gasp, Cai Er sprang out of bed,her body aching all over. "What....happened?..." Cai Er said, noticing the bandages on her head and arms.

"You fell from the sky, pong. Broke right through the ground, pong." An old looking creature said, Cai Er stared at him with curiosity.

"Who...are you?..." she asked, sitting up on the bed.

"My names Adel, the Chief of this village." He said as he smoked his pipe.

"So small and furry..." cai er thought. It suddenly came to her attention that both Ash and her landed roughly. In panic Cai Er grabbed onto Adels shoulders, "Where's Ash?! T-the armoured man I fell with!" Cai Er asked, shaking Adel a little.

He seemed shocked by her sudden hold on him,
"Calm down! Calm down, Pong. He's alright Pong, but his armor won't come off so we haven't been able to treat the wound he recieved from those spears we pulled out Pong." Adel said.

Cai Er was glad he was alright, but she wondered why his armored state wouldn't release itself.
"Can I see him?.." she asked, Adel waved for her to follow him.

"This way pong. We had to move him to a different location, we have other adventurers in this town right now Pong, I've requested if the elf warrior could help your friend. Pong." He said.

Cai Er nodded her head, when they arrived to Ash room, he was laying on a steel table.
"He weighs too much, so the bed broke pong. We decided to move him onto the work bed instead, pong." Adel said. Cai Er couldn't believe he weighed that much. She tired to lift his hand but, like Adel said It was extremely heavy.

"Seems, when master is unconscious the armor becomes extremely heavy." She thought, though she wondered how they made it here then.

"Adel is there a blacksmith here?" Cai Er asked, Adel nodded his head.

"I'll see if I can get this fixed." Cai Er said, looking at her shoulder guard.

Phantom nodded to Xavier and then gave a quick glare to the impatient man. "I'll keep an eye on them, Xavier. You have my word." The priest put a hand out for a handshake, "It's a shame we didn't really connect well, but we also didn't spend a lot of time together. I wish you the best, and I'll see you when you get back. Alright?"

I'll support him...I guess, Xiopetec huffed.

Don't be like that.

Xavier gave Phantom a small smile, making the handshake brief. He turn to the waiting man, ready to get going until the man stopped him for a moment and pointed at Komodo who tried to follow along. “Sorry to say this, but your pet can’t come along with you,” the man said to him.

Xavier was surprised, not knowing that Komodo have to stay behind. Komodo look up in confusion, tilting his head at his trainer. He sighed, beckoning Aragorn to simply hold Komodo back. Aragorn did was he was told, holding the small dragon back as Komodo’s confusion increased. He panicked when Xavier started to leave without him, scrambling around to let himself free from Aragorn’s hand but the larger dragon didn’t budge his grip. Xavier stepped into the portal and the stranger quickly followed him in. Komodo managed to pry himself free and ran towards the portal yet skidded to a hault as it was gone. Xavier was gone.

Komodo idly stand there as if he was expecting it to come back yet after a couple of minutes flown by, he sat down. He looks like he is willing to wait.

“We should get moving to find the others,” Octavia mumbled out finally, looking at Phantom. “Though if we want Komodo to come along, we have to be forceful on him.”

“No kidding, his loyalty to his trainer is strong. I can handle the little guy,” Aragorn said. Komodo look back and scrambled away from Aragorn yet the red dragon picked him up with his mouth, holding him in place. He was ready to get going now. As for Octavia, she felt sad but willing to leave.

Lara was somewhat surprised by Oblivio's open attitude. She hadn't talked with him a lot, but she had the feeling he would like to talk with her more. The Commander of the Crows, Raven, was more distanced with her, but she didn't mind it. With time, maybe, he would come to at least talk for combat directions, if only she needed them.

"Thank you." she said to Oblivio and the rest before following them to the exit of the inn after paying her stay. It had been more expensive than expected, she'd have to find a way to compensate the money that she wasted on alcohol the night before. Lara followed the group to the Nasod Foundry and talked to Rena in her native language to find out what she had said to Xavier or to her the night before. The elf answered what she had heard from her when she had come back to the inn and Lara sighed in relief.

"Thank Yggdrasil I only said that! I gotta thank that barman later."

The rest of the group turned to look at her a little surprised to see her talk so loudly, and she cleared her throat and continued her way as if she hadn't spoken at all. She had heard the group mention a lot Rain, but Lara wasn't really interested on where that two-soul vessel had gone or what happened to her. By the looks of things, it wasn't something very good.

"You've changed, Oblivio. Let me guess, we're here to take some Nasod parts to use for Unification." She smiled with a hint of pain and continued. "You've changed for the best, kid."

A bunch of Nasod guards stormed through the half open door they had entered by and Lara transformed her small staff into two daggers and leapt beyond the first wave of Nasods and began to destroy the sensors and cameras that would alert even more machines of their path. The group had engaged in combat and advanced steadily, taking some damage, but destroying effectively the machines. A part of the machinery began to move on its own and was ready to crush the group of adventurers. Lara reacted as faster as she could and, with a ray of energy, she destroyed the machine, making rain only a thin rain of iron dust over the group.

"That was a close call. Is everybody ok?"

They came to a halt and Lara used some of her power to heal the wounds of her comrades. Her bleeding caused some worry to Rena and Oblivio, but she simply explained that her wounds weren't serious. They continued their path and after two days of combat, they had disabled all Nasods in the factory. They had begun to collect materials to stabilize Oblivio's system of Unification. It would take more time, but the tools at the foundry helped the two brothers get to work faster. Lara, meanwhile, stayed to watch that they wouldn't get any bad surprises, only coming back to eat along the rest.

Ash
"I must say, this process of recovering is not a bad idea Ares." Athena said, as she walked around with Ares inside a room, where Ash was laying down.

"He needs to adapt to what's been happening lately, so I thought stasis was a good choice." Ares said.

Ash sat up,
"Stasis? But I'm up and awake..." Ash said. Ares and Athena turned to him, they made their way to his side as they helped him get up.

"Boy, your body is in Stasis. Right now where in the Astral Plain, we dragged your mind here for now while your body recovers." Athena said.

The last time Ash was brought here was when he trained in using his newfound power. He never thought he would come here again.

"But why? I could've just rested for the time being." Ash said.

Ares laughed,
"Ha! Rest? No no no, your going to train, Athena and I will be here all the way up to your recovery training that new Winged appearance you've obtained."

"As well as the titanium armor. Plus, I need you to become more tatical in the way you fight. Sure you can rage on but, know when to use it." Athena said. Ares laughed at the thought, but with a glare from Athena he shut his mouth.

"Alright, I'm ready I guess. If I can control my new found armor, I'll train till I drop." Ash stated.

Ares facepalmed,
"Oh boy." A smile formed across Athenas face. "Hoo, we'll see about that." Athena said, for once in a while Ash felt a shiver down his spine.
