Yeah, anything to trigger it naturally. Getting caught up in the moment could do that. Its been seen multiple times in various movies. (Example: "Madagascar," Alex slowly loses himself to lion instincts after finding himself in the wild)

Gotcha, then I agree to your condition.

You know, Its time I try to prove something again. I'm going to go through the painful process or watching the horrible "Genesect Movie" again to see if i cant find any evidence that Genesect does indeed eat. To my knowledge to of the movie right now there was no instances that they ate.

Its been a while since I've seen that movie so i could have missed something. Maybe one the the Genesect said they were hungry at some point. Maybe there's a scene where they drink water from the pond. ANYTHING that would show some sign of them actually needing nourishment to keep them going. And if I cant find anything there I'll try to look for any episode showing Genesect in it and see if there is anything there (I never was able to see any episode past the diamond and pearl series so black and white eps are a mystery to me)

Mmm, well I consider the anime noncanon entirely and only accept the games as evidence. However, if you want to do this for your own gratification (and perhaps Emperor's,) I am interested in the results

The Anime, yes, does have "Bull Crap" around it, but that doesn't mean you cant discard everything it has. If we base this purely of the games then its already decided. You can feed Genesect berries and other food items (Just like EVERY other pokemon) meaning it can indeed eat. However I don't want that my sole evidence. Video game logic is the reasons why. Think about it, Items all have their special abilities when you give them to Pokemon. When you use something like a Percha Berry to cure the poison on one of your Pokemon, the Pokemon simply eats it and the poison is gone. But then if Pokemon like Porygon which wouldn't be able to eat berries suddenly made sense, then you have a Pokemon that is immune to your power of trying to heal it... Not very fun now is it. Your Pokemon forever Poisoned, Burned, Paralyzed, Frozen, Asleep, and Confused all because you cant heal it with your own items

Perhaps. I simply just can't stand the anime, and I'm a very... er, what's the term... "source material purist." It's not exclusive to Pokémon, in everything j always put greater stock in the source material. Using the Porygon example, instead of eating it, you mash it into a paste and put it over the wound.

Obviously, SOME liberties must be taken. For me, the anime takes so many "liberties" that it simply perverts the source material, which is why I don't accept it as valid evidence.

Porygon is a digital Pokemon and as such that would work either. Porygon it the literal definition of a non-biological Pokemon. So as such no medicine on earth could heal him because all that requires him to be biological.

When I watch the Anime I try to filter out anything that just doesn't belong in any realistic view (Team Rocket Blasting off again and again would resulted in their death a long time ago).

It's less about unrealistic, more about just betraying the source material. I'm an anime fan in general, I'm used to unrealistic bullshit. It's how it betrays the games that bothers me personally.

You mean like how Hyper Beam is used in the games vs the anime. Yeah... I have explanations for stuff like that... If you want to hear them...

The point is, yes, I know they can both clash at time with what they find true but when I see that I try to make a balance explanation between them.

I can understand porygon not being able to eat, simply because it is a digital pokemon, but with genesect being a modified fossil, it should be able to eat, but have no need to, due to cybernetic enhancements. Like robocop.

You feel free to do that, I'm not begrudging you for doing so. I'm simply saying that, in my particular case, I opt to simply forgo the anime altogether and only rely on the games. Whatever floats your boat.

And I actually don't know the hyper beam example. Whenever I think of anime bullshit, one example always comes to mind.

*traumatic flashbacks*

"Pikachu, thunderbolt harder"

Didn't they feed Robo Cop some special glop? I'm talking about the original movies where after they modified him they had to feed him because he was technically a cyborg than a robot

Watch this clip about Rayquaza and you'll see what I mean about the bull crap hyper beams. Skip to the 8 minute mark.

They fed him baby food. I remember that vividly in the original movie.

So who else agrees that breakfast is over. Shall I move us along now and start the journey across the ocean.
