Pokemon Battles
Dice rolls determine how battles turn out.
Winning a dice roll causes the opponent to lose either one , two , or half a
Losing a dice roll causes your own pokemon to lose one , two , or half a
A pokemon that loses all their hearts is knocked out.
Typing advantage/disadvantage determines the amount of hearts lost. Two is lost when an advantaged-typed move is used against a disadvantaged-type pokemon and half a when vice versa.
Dice rolls do not have to be used in Pokemon Training Posts (i.e. pokemon battles written by players for fluff that are not overseen by gm) and/or both players decide they do not want to use the system.
Pokemon regain hearts in Pokemon centers, in pokeballs, or when items like SuperPotions are used. Every 3 posts since an injured pokemon is returned to a pokeball re-gains them a
Pokemon Search and Catch
To emulate the pokemon finding/catching experience (and not let players catch themselves a legendary or something <.<), all wild pokemon finds/appearances will be randomly generated by the gm or introduced for plot purposes.
At any time during an rp, when players aren't in classes or places that pokemon aren't likely to be found, players can choose to roll a 1d4 to search for pokemon. If the number is even, a pokemon is found. If it is odd, no pokemon is found.
Wild pokemon findings will be influence by described area, methods used for searching, etc. Players that are specific in their search and prove to be their characters know what they are doing (look for zubats in dark danky caves) are more likely to find their desired pokemon as compared to a random one.
A pokemon that has full health cannot be caught.
A pokemon that belongs to another trainer cannot be caught.
A knocked out pokemon is a guaranteed caught.
Throwing a pokeball at an injured pokemon that is not knocked out has a chance of failure.
Chances for finding/catching pokemon can be improved with PokeShop purchases.
** Note: Rules are always subject to be changed by GM based on what works and what doesn't.
