Funfact: Thorn was able to shift into a cat ever since he was little (back then he was actually kitten and he only was able to transform into a lion when he turned 14) so he would transform into cat and because he couldn't control his instincts he would hunt birds, mice, and other animals and bring them back to his family (as cats do).
