Rundown of build: Sartoria is a particular type of dragonoid. The Gloomweb Dragonoid is a hybrid made from magically infusing the eggs of blackspawn dragonoids with arachnoid blood. The result gives them a variety of extra abilities. The ones she actively uses in combat are the ability to passively cover a 25-meter radius area around her in pitch-black darkness as long as she keeps her movement withing a 1-meter radius, combined with darkvision, tremorsense, and the ability to generate incredibly tough webs through her fingertips. She specialises in single-thread webs that look like thin, but conventionally nigh-unbreakable, piano strings which are further enhanced because of some of her job classes, namely Tailor, Thread Warrior and, especially, Gloom Weaver. Sartoria uses this aspect in tandem with her lance, enabiling her to throw it and manipulate it's trajectory, or pull it back with said web string. Furthermore, even with her weapon thrown, if one were to get close, they would risk getting cut by her barely visible strings, attacked by her highly corrosive acid breath attack, or, to a lesser extent, falling victim to her toxic bites. However, there's more to her combat ability than that.
Shadow Dancer passively increases her attack and movement speed to various levels depending on the level of darkness she is in and also enables her to connect to other people's shadows (including skills that strike through the opponent's shadow). Furthermore she can "coat" her weapon and string in shadow granting her increased damage and weakening defenses against her weapon's damage type (piercing). The trumph card of this class, however is the Shadow Double: a clone of sorts that spawns from her shadow and cannot leave it, a dark version of the Einherjar skill beloning to the Valkyrie class. If she uses her aforementioned racial ability to surround herself with darkness, unlike herself, the Shadow Double can move freely in the 25-meter radius.
Furthermore, Phantom Lancer enables her to use illusions, attacks that can phase through solid objects and even creatures (which works well with her tremorsense), as well as the ability to passively harm incorporeal creatures like wraiths and ghosts with physical attacks from any weapon that qualifies as a polearm.
All of the above is combined with the fact that her piercing attacks passively bypass resistances and, to various degrees, immunities (25% passively, more with skills)

In the Message From Another Time AU, Chuunis who wanted to be cool and edgy did it a lot and then when you get older and you're more mature, you can't exactly get a new character without having to start from scratch.

To be fair, it is a coincidence how we have in terms of shadow stuff. We have characters with shadows as a race, a ninja bird that uses shadows as job skills, and a dragonoid that uses shadow as racial and job skills
