Hey guyyss! Just here to throw in a couple of announcements before I get to posting and jazz.


@constellation Welcome back to RPN! I don't know if you're officially back but if you still want to be in the role play, you're always welcome to come back. If you need a break still, just let me know. I'll find ways to have Zach poof from group activities or something.


@Chamomile Wow. I don't think I can do that. LOL I'm like a master blinker, I have to blink every few seconds. I'll ponder on the festival some more and get back to you guys!


@Kodiak Hey hey! That's a great idea, I actually did that before in another group role play where it was done over PM due to not having host project at the time. It worked out pretty well since it's great for a one x one (sort of). I'll go ahead and create one. c; It'll probably help to not clutter the IC and all. It'll probably be a collaboration thread like you said where dates and any sorts of one x one will be done there and group role plays will be mainly in the IC. There probably won't be any rules that comes with it so writers have all the leeway to write a long essay of dialogues or something sort. Alright, awesome thanks for the idea Kodiak!


D; And yeah, I need to figure out a way to juggle reading, role playing, and watching shows. Lol it's hard when you're behind on everything you have to catch up on a ton. I'm really excited for Six of Crows but I cannot read books and stop myself in the middle so I'm going to have to find a chunk of time during the weekends just to sit down and go through it in one sitting. Let me know how it goes for you!


I actually never read Lord of the Rings (LOL I barely watched the last two movie but it was great) so I'd love to buy the books. Time to figure out how to navigate on OwlCrate. Have you been watching any good TV shows?


Announcements:


1. With the new collaboration thread, if there are important daily interactions you want to do with each other for a couple of posts, that will be where it goes because I'm planning to do quite a lot of time skips with this role play. This will be great for character development and all the good juicy stuff.


2. So I actually only got 3 hours of sleep today so if I do not get things posted up today, it'll be done tomorrow.


3. And within a couple of hours, I'll let you know the details of the new event (assuming I don't crash on my bed). c;

NEWS & ANNOUNCEMENTS:

Hi all! As you can see, a few changes (minor, you might not notice) has been made to our tiny warm forum. We now have a collaboration thread (woo woo *throws confetti in the background*) and there's no rules or limitations here (just no one liners). This collaboration thread is mainly for time skips and breaks (winter break!) because I want to get through a few things and events take years to finish.

Since this is a democracy (or a very lenient dictatorship, whichever one you prefer), I'd like everyone opinions on this since I rather have everyone be happy than force events down ( @Kodiak @constellation @Aster @Chamomile @Sasil @shygirl3 @Kingly).

I'm going to be switching over and adding some new things/combining new things so let me know yay or nay.
​

1. The Winter Festival will be coming up next (and I have a reason for this, not just out of my selfish desire to get a winter arc in during the winter season). This means that we're skipping two months (October & November) so any dates (*cough cough*) or interactions or ghost hunting you wanna do would be heading over to the collaboration thread. c; Collaborations would be a good time for dress shopping.

I made a few changes to the Winter Festival due to us skipping Homecoming as well as The Halloween Masquerade & The Carnival (let's pretend those never existed). The Winter Festival event will be a one whole day event, it's going to encapsulate all of those things above.
​

x. It's a Festival. This means all the Seniors will be hosting on event which is up to us (we'll figure this out later, throw me suggestions)!
​

x. The Midnight Masquerade Ball will be at the end of the Winter Festival from 8 PM to 12 AM on a yatch (or maybe just out in the field under the stars and jazz) and it will be followed up by fireworks. This is also the time we have Winter King and Queen (which is the name until I or you guys suggest something cooler).
​

So I have another tidbid about the Masquerade ball. I thought it would be pretty fun and cool to not know who is who which means everyone will be attending individually so there's that hidden mystery behind the mask and it cannot be taken off until midnight. But then it'll be super fun to see who has the courage to ask their crushes out or who's going just as friends. So let me know what you think.

2. The Senior Year Project Global Seminar
​

Wow that is one mouth full. I was thinking of making this project a little bit more fun where the students can choose a place where they want to go as a group for three days (I was thinking a week but that's just excessive). Since this is a field trip, I thought it would be best if we saved this after the festival since it's going to be a long story (considering how it took us months to finish the auction loool). Each day, we are expected to do something different and make an impact in a way. Day one could be volunteering/feeding at the homeless shelter/the poor in another country, day two could be hands on work like at the daycare center, and day three would just be fun day where they can choose one place to go together and relax. The school makes the seniors do this because it looks good on their college applications and it makes it easier to write a personal statement based on experiences (now I'm making shizzles up but you get me).

@FirePolaris  Wow, I have been meaning to get back to you for like...the past two days but brain not working, working being a HUGE pain in the ass thanks to this blasted Christmas season and being downright busy trying to squeeze all that I can in the next few days before all the dreaded family comes up has caused me to be unable to respond to things not as fast. Wow, that's a mouthful. But I say now that I am here and I do read everything, just forget to respond sometimes xD


Hmm, a festival, well they could have like a booth. Like those ones where you have to get gold fish or something? Personally I have never been to a festival unless you count a Fall Fair which is something we have where I live with lots of animals and such. THey get graded and sold to the highest bidder. Pretty neat. Oooh what if they had to run a petting zoo or something? That would be neat xD Though a bunch of rich kids might not like petting dirty animals...Not sure I am being any kind of help here.


I gotta say I am super excited for the Masquerade Ball though, seems like it will be the perfect event to have some nice juicy drama to unfold. Specially if events seem to spiral out of control and people end up with people they don't think they are LOL though I have to say if they start talking people will figure out who is who. But maybe that is just me xD I keep thinking of the Yule ball from Harry Potter but that wasn't a masquerade but brain is on Harry Potter. Anywho. I think it would be fun if all the girls went off together and did the dress shopping thing or something. But maybe that is just me xD


So it is going to be in another country yes? I think this would be interesting, can see each of the characters and how they react to traveling. People who pack the most the lightest--and doing jobs for the poor and other things will open there eyes a bit to. At least kinda or maybe not. I am probably rambling. Maybe they could work on building a house together? In Gilmore Girls Rory does that to put on her transcripts to get into Harvard. Look good on theres to right?

Hey guys! Sorry for the slow reply. I forgot all my shoes and books at school so I had to go back to get it so it's been a hectic couple of days.


@Sasil That's alright! I hope you and your family have a great Christmas! c; I'm trying to feel the Christmas spirit but it's mmm right now. LOL I'm on a Christmas playlist binge. I was thinking of some kind of Halloween Festival but Christmas style, if you know what I mean? So lol maybe they can be making something Christmas theme like a funnel cakes or blue and red velvet cupcakes. And if it doesn't snow, we can do the fake snow LOL. They can all have a different role and we can role play that out for a bit a couple of days. Then we can do the masquerade ball which will make it easier for those who are on a hiatus to poof during the event.

Omgosh, the masquerade ball without knowing who's who would be perfect. Imagine if Xavier randomly flirts with a girl and it ends up being with Aiv or Maddie. I could see an awkward moment with him going, "Bloody hell. What did I just do?"

But back to the topic, I'm going to slightly sum up what's been happening for a couple of months. Anything between the auction and the winter arc between 2-3 characters can be put in the collaboration section.


So yup, we're going to jump straight into the Winter Festival arc if that's fine with everyone. There's no point in delaying it because I don't think we want to be doing homecoming, winter formal, and Halloween masquerade one by one since they are all technically dances so I just combined them into the Winter Festival arc.


During the Winter Festival arc, I do have something fun planned but I'll tag everyone about it once I establish the setting page.


If anyone wants to do anything with Xav, let me know. I am planning a small collaboration with @Sasil so I might tag or include a few people (I hope you don't mind). You don't have to join us but I might just sort of mention "mentioning" things to some people or interacting with them a couple days ago.

I'm so excited to read it (I swear I'm taking them back with me this time around) and c; I'll keep you updated! I don't know if you heard of The Paper Magician but my friend is in love with it and I heard it's really good with really mixed reviews on amazon tho. c;

I literally spent the from 7pm to 5 in the morning playing Pandemic with my family and we were on a losing streak. T^T Gosh dang it, stupid expansions, outbreaks, and death.


Ahem back to topic, sure you're definitely allowed to post it in the subforum! So go for it! It's not just between two players but for any posts that will probably have significance in the role play (maybe it's the reason why Maddie was down for a while, I'm sure others might have picked that up). And thanks for letting me know. c; I'm going to try my best (ugh I know I have awful time issues) to get the role play started today so we can get back to the groove. I know Christmas is coming up and everyone is rather busy with friends and family. c;

I love both Tell Me Three Things and Fangirl! They are both wonderfully fluffy romances with smart characters. I hope you enjoy them! I just received my OwlCrate box and received Of Fire and Stars which is a YA fantasy featuring a lesbian romance. It sounds promising, but I haven't started reading it yet, and I haven't checked out reviews because I don't want any bad ones to put me off (if they exist). I have so many books on my to-read list right now. If only I had the time to read them!!

Hey guys! So I spent all day yesterday with friends and laser tagging so I didn't get anything done on here. D: But I will do my best to get things rolling! But before then, @Chamomile reminded me that birthdays are coming up in between now and the Winter festival.


@shygirl3 Abigail's on December 3rd and @Sasil Aivree's on December 12th! This is a good time for collabs. I might start some because Xavier is a busybody and you guys can just jump in if you want to or Xav might forcefully drag you there (in that case, I'll tag you).


As for now, I'm going to head off to get some Christmas chores done. Let me know if you guys have any questions/concerns.

I'm watching Yuri on Ice - I have the last two episodes to finish of that, then I'm getting back to Haiykuu. :3 I love sport related animes. They're so fun to watch.

@constellation Sports anime are actually my favorite too LOL. I'm a huge fan of Prince of Tennis, Whistle, Captain Tsubaki, etc etc etc. I haven't watch Yuri on Ice but you make me want to try it. I gotta google it now. I think the ice skating one I watched before was Ginban Kaleidoscope which was really good and realllyyyy sad.

I would recommend Yuri on Ice! It's amazing. Watching them figure skating makes me want to! xD And the into is so addicting and fun to listen to. It's the type you never get sick of when it comes on, heh. I've heard of Ginban Kaleidoscope, but never watched it. Might have to now.
