I figured, since your character sent everyone out and such, you'd be the one to decide. I'd like to not be stuck in the SHIELD base forever though, even if it's with Sans, the guy who never actually fights. Whether the SHIELD guys decided to bring him along or not is really up to you.

I've edited the post so that Mack asks him if he can fight.

It depends. If a universe is in the middle of a story-arc you'd have to ask if it's okay but most universes you can just drop into.
