It's been 3 centuries since nuclear warfare happened on Earth....The ones we loved....The ones we never knew....Almost all of them have gone to other worlds in seek of new life.....I am Alph Short.....I am one that has been left behind.....We are known as The Lost....However...Some were not as fortunate as us....Some were....Changed...Into freaks....Monsters....The Radiated are our enemy....They seek to destroy the little hope we have left....And therefore we kick and scream....All for the sake of survival.


~Chapter start: The Beginning of the End~

Al closed his diary and sighed as he stood up before leaving his room "It's a new day........"

 

[Grimmlock]

Zack was scavenging for readable books in a nearby building.

Al walked outside being blinded by the light "Holy....!"

 

[CelestialBunny]

Alexandrite was outside near the shops. She wants looking for someone that was alive, but had no luck. "Ugh! Another day with no one around." She said to herself. She went into the broken down supermarket and took whatever food hadn't gone bad. She also stopped by a clothes store and took some extra clothes.

 

[Grimmlock]

As Zach walked outside he caught a glimpse of Alex, "Is that a human...?" Zack usual,y liked being alone but he thought he should at least talk to her to let her know someone else was alive in these parts. So Zack ran to catch up to her.

As she kept looking around for any necessary supplies, she felt like there was someone behind her. She quickly turned around and pinned him on the ground. Her knee on his chest, "who are you? Are you a monster? I have a sword!" She threatened. Then she took a closer look at him and saw that he was a human, she hesitantly took her knee of him, letting him stand up and blushed. "I'm so sorry, you should run to someone unless they know you" She warned him with a friendly smirk. "I'm Alexandrite, who are you?" She asked smiling.

 

[Grimmlock]

Zack stood up brushing the dirt off of him. "This is why I stick with books" he murmured. "Besides a recent knee to the chest I'm doing pretty well. I was just around looking for books, what are you doing out here?"

 

[CelestialBunny]

"Looking for supplies" she responded. "You came out here just for book? Doesn't that seem weird?" She said while picking up the bags of clothes and food that she had dropped. "Plus, I don't live anywhere exactly so.. I don't really have anywhere to be but out here" she added.

 

[Grimmlock]

"Well I've got everything I really need, my sword and an extra change of clothes, I can always go hunting for food and water so the only thing left is entertainment, killing the radiated and reding books is good enough for me." He said. Zack held up his book showed her and put it back in his sack. He waved and started walking away, but suddenly stopped. "About your sleeping arrangement, there's a nice apartment still in tact at the end of the block. I think I left one of my canteens on the table next to the bed. I think you'll enjoy it!" He called as he started to turn around and walk away again.

 

[CelestialBunny]

"Ok thanks!" She said as he walked away. She decided to go check it out. "Why not?" She said to herself. She got her stuff, and walked to the end of the block. She entered and saw that it was a pretty good place. She dropped her stuff down, and sat on the couch in the living room. Glad that she took a drawing pad and paints, she began to draw.

Zack started to wander off when he relized that the sun would be setting soon. "Man, I can't believe I gave up my room for the night.... Well I guess I'll just have to find another place to stay" Zack said to himself. He walked for about another mile looking for a good place then he realized... "SHIT! I left my flashlight back at the apartment! Damn, now I have to go back... What a drag!" So he started sprinting toward Alex new home.

 

[Aero]

Bang! "Another Radiated dead." Mumbled a bored Paisley. She tallied up the amount of kills she did for the day pushing her glasses up. "Only five today, none Vivian. Disappointing." She said and stood up with a big stretch. Paisely packed up her things into her pastel blue butt pack and put her sniper on her back. She climbed down two ladders down to the ground noticing the sun was setting. "Perfect time for looting." She smiled and started walking down the street of the abandon city toward a candy store. Once at the candy store she grabbed a bag of lollipops and jawbreakers then placed them in her pocket. She left the candy store and continued her way down to the supermarket.

Zack was running to the hotel at top speed, but as he looked down the rows to his left he saw some girl in a bunny sweatshirt leaving a candy store... He thought he was going insane. But just as he was about to look forward, he tripped on a fallen light post. As he was falling caught himself,f and turned it into a summer salut. But that didn't prevent the damage done to his shin. He pulled up his pant leg and did his first aid to look for broken bones. Lucky for him it was just a bad bruise.. But he couldn't stand or much less walk. He thought to himself and finally came to the conclusion that it could 't be that bad to call for help. "Hey!!! Don't shoot! I'm human! But do u think u could help me up!" He shouted down the street.

 

[Aero]

Paisley saw movement in front of her and on instinct pulled her sniper out looking through scope. She closed in at a boy tripping then summer saulting onto the ground. Paisley blinked and looked away from the scope. She looked at the boy who was now shouting at her not to kill him. Paisley cautiously walked toward the boy her sniper still in position to kill. As she got closerer she stopped about five feet away from the boy. "What's your name? What happen?" She asked dropping her sniper a little to get a better veiw. 'He doesn't seem radiated.' She thought her eyes narrowed through her glasses. @Grimmlock

 

[Grimmlock]

"Hey, not a lot of time chat. Name's Zack, just had a really stupid accident. Sorry for the inconvenience but it's almost night time and I have to grab my flashlight. I was wondering if you could help me dress my wound. I can give you water, but I have to hurry!" He said trying fit that all in a few short sentences. "Here, I'm gonna pull out my first aid kit..." Zack set it on the ground and opened it trying not to alarm her. "I just need you to hold the bandages and left me up. Will you help?"

 

[Aero]

Paisley listen to what Zack had to say. Once he was finished Paisley nodded slowly and put her sniper away. She opened his first aid kit and pulled out the bandages. "Okay so now I just lift you up right?" She asked not totally sure how to help this Zack guy out or lift him. @Grimmlock

 

[Grimmlock]

"Yeah" Zack said as he held out his hand, "Just pull me up and I'll lean against the wall and apply the bandages."

 

[Aero]

Paisley nodded and took his hand pulling him up gently the bandages in her other hand. She held his hand until he leaned against the wall.

 

[Grimmlock]

Zack winced in pain. He then took the bandages from Paisley and wrapped them around his shin. "Thanks, I'm gonna make my way toward the end of the block for my flashlight. But u might want to get somewhere high... I Don't know if you know but the radiated REALLY like the dark." Zack warned her. He then tried to limp to the house but after 3 steps he fell again "Damn it!" Zack struggled to stand up again. "Ugh, this might take awhile" he said to himself.

 

[Aero]

Paisely nodded as if to say you're welcome. "I know I'm going to head back up to my roof soon." She said and started to walk away till she heard him cuss under his breath. Paisely turned around and watched him struggle a bit. "Um, do you need help or something?" She asked walking up beside him tilting her head a bit. @Grimmlock

 

[Grimmlock]

Zack tried to hide the pain on his face. "N-no I'll be fine, take care of yourself. Watch out for those stupid jumping Radiated". The sun was almost down so he got his sword ready. Zack gave a wave back and he started limping on down the road.

 

[Aero]

Paisly watched him limp his way to his destination. 'A stubborn one.' She thought and waved back before heading to a ladder that leads up to roof. She continued to roof jump following Zach to make sure the stubborn swords man doesn't kill himself.

Zack didn't notice Paisley. He kept his guard up with his sword getting ready for hordes of Raidated to emerge from strange places. A few minutes later the first 1 appeared

 

[Aero]

Once Paisley saw the first Radiated to appear she got her sniper ready but did not shoot. "Let's see what you got Zack." She mumbled her finger on the trigger ready to fire.


Vivian was walking around her tail dragging on the ground behind her. 'Shut up shut up!' Her human side thought. 'Just accept it Vivian you're a Radiated monster now.' Her monsterous side thought.
