Fantasy Opening Night (Open to all)

"I never thought I'd see the day when I would pick up a musical instrument and become something like this..." thought Jennifer as she helped unload the last of the equipment from the truck, panting hard as she worked up a sweat from having to move so many heavy objects around.

It had been three months since the initial introduction of The Desert Foxes, a multi species band that played in every genre it seemed, and a good month since they had been signed on with a record company. Tonight was the breaking point, it was either go big, or go home for them, and they weren't about to walk away after all this!

"Which song should we open with?" Jen asked as she sat down on the back of the truck, looking at the group as they gathered about to brainstorm. "I think we should open with Wake the Dragon, but I don't know if that is all too well known, not as well known as the Woman of Worlds" she laughed a bit in a nervous manner, before rubbing the back of her head, yeah she was nervous and it showed.

Dite merely shrugged and smiled as she fiddled with her outfit. "I think personally we should open with My Revolution" she said, before looking at the other members, seeing a few agreed with her. "I mean your voice is kind of strained at the moment, but it should be good by the time we go curtain up"

Jen sighed and nodded as she closed her eyes. "I suppose we could do that, but do you think they will like us? I mean we are not exactly the most normal genre of band out there..." she looked toward Dite before giving a perk of a brow, looking over the leafeon girl before snapping her fingers. "I have an idea!"

Nova stood in line out side the place where the concert was to be held. She held her ticket in her hand, and stepped up to the front of the line. She handed her ticket over the the woman in front of her, and was handed back the stub. She quickly stepped out of the line, and was about to go inside when she saw a curious looking boy glance over his shoulder, nerviously, then quickly walk around a corner, and dissapper. Following him around the corner, and then around another, she found herself face to face with the band, The Desert Foxes. Surprised, she went with her first instinct, to pull out her phone and get a picture. As soon as she hit the button with her finger, and the flash happened, she knew that it had been a bad idea. Hoping the band members hadn't noticed the bright flash, she desperately looked around for the boy she had followed back here. He was no where to be found. Nervous, she decided to just stay still, and pray the members didn't notice her.

Teo had been watching the member .her job was stressful enough .she wanted to be more comfortable while seeing the people going in and out of the building she had managed this concert and hopefully the band can make this a hit .so they can all get paid after this .two could care less about the money.but it paid the bills so she had to care more then she could ever ."god this is nerve racking "her ear kept twitching on how nervous she was becoming

"Tell me about it" said Jerry as he walked past Teo with a cup of coffee, just as he joined the conversation group that was the entirety of the band. They all seemed to be in a heated debate over which song to open with and which path to go down with the concert tonight... all very serious stuff to consider at the moment as he sipped his coffee, just listening for now as he watched the 'mother' of the band and the 'maple leaf' of the band basically butt heads over which was better: EDM or Rock. Personally he liked both.

"I say we open with a mix!" suggested Abney before jumping a bit when the two girls looked at him. "Or... I can just... go over there..?" he pointed over to the left before stepping a few steps in that direction. "Mama Jen is mad again... oh lord this is gonna be one world of a ride before the show..." he thought to himself as he remembered last time during practice that this happened.

"Ladies, ladies please, get your heads out of the oven and listen for a second..." said Rene in a consoling voice as she held up her hands in neutral stances. "We can have a mix, like Abney suggested, but we are here for two things: to have fun, and to make our fans happy. Lets enjoy ourselves and then kill eachother in Halo later, okay?"

"Sounds good to me..." said Jen before noticing a flash over in the darker area of the hall, before giving a wave. "Oh hey! We have a visitor!"

"A... visitor?" said a younger voice from the group, before the boy that she had noticed from before stepped from the van, surprisingly enough, it was one of the band members, one of the youngest too. "Who is it? One of the fans?" he asked curiously.

"Must be, she took a picture" said Jen with a soft chuckle. "I don't mind photos, but I don't think the stadium security would like it if she got caught back here..." she looked over toward Neps as he walked forward, before pointing at him. "Mind showing her back to the line? After she gets a good photo of us for keepsakes of course"

Jerry merely perked a brow before speaking. "So we give photos to sneaky fans then?" he asked before nodding a bit. "I like this idea... might make things interesting!"

Two was seriously freaking out ,she was getting hoy and walked over to the band before someone was speaking into her mic "alright ,yes..what you mean ..if the lighting isn't working fix it there on in an hour ..yes don..ya okay, thank you "everything was put on her shoulders for the time ,well every time when there is a concert

"Guys you need to set up your on in an hour .."she saw a young fan taking pictures of them while they posed .she wish that could be her but that wasn't her call at all ,she loves her job .just wished it was something like them .she smiled holding her clip board.close to her .

Nova saw that she had been noticed, and started freaking out a bit. If security found her back here, she would surely not be aloud to go and actually watch the concert. As they approached her, she started backing up. "Um...I was just.....there was a boy...uh, sorry, sorry. I-I'll be going now, sorry to, um, bother you." She turned, and walked away, quickly.

Jason, after slipping away from the wolf girl, had fallen back into the crowd. He weaved through the line, hoping to nab some unfourtene concert goers ticket. He finally found a promising looking chap, and slipped his hand into the pocket of the man. The man didn't notice, until Jason triumphantly pulled out the ticket. The man whirled around, grabbing for Jason as he ran away. In moments, the man was on top of him, literally, and they were rolling around in the dust. Not finding the ticket, the man picked Jason up, and literally threw him in to the side of the van, Jsona head smashing through a window. Jason desperately tried to pull his head out, but every time he tried to move, the broken glass cut his neck.

After the girl was gone the band had a good laugh before realizing the time, moving toward the stage now as they went to go prepare for the show, all talking about the events going on tonight and how things seemed to be getting interesting.

Jen stopped at the door and turned to the band manager to ask a question she had on her mind. "Hey boss, do you think we will be a hit like we have been on the independent market? I mean yeah we are big on the internet an such, but... do you think they'll love us on the stage just as much?"

meanwhile...

Whistles were heard as well as several footsteps running in the direction of the boy and his wouldbe attacker, several men in bright yellow and black shirts with the words 'SECURITY' across the front and back coming toward them, armed with tazers.

Jen nodded a bit, catching up with the rest of the group inside as they all began to get into their outfits and get ready for the show. Jen seemed to be the most rattled out of the entirety of the group as she watched the activity outside in the seating area where the fans had mostly gathered. It seemed like that the show was going to be quite the full house... a good sign, or possibly a bad one, she couldn't tell and hoped that things would go according to plan to everyones hopes and dreams.

After about ten minutes or so, the band was calmed down for the most part and on task and handling things quite well, the first song was decided on and the leads were decided on as well: Jennifer and Neppuu with their co-conspiracator song known as Lady of Worlds. The equipment was being tested one final time with a quick pre-warm up song which would probably get a few laughs out of whoever was listening.

The sound of an acoustic guitar would be heard coming from behind the curtain of the stage before the sound of Neppuu beginning to sing in a helium-induced voice along to the tune "Bam bada bam bam bam~ a duck walked up to a lemonade stand, and said to the man running the stand 'hey! got any grapes?' hmhmm..." he then stopped as the music stopped "Okay!" he squeaked out, laughing a bit at his own voice, which sounded ridiculous. "The mics work, don't worry folks, we're just doing some last minute awesomeness tests!"
