Also Hollywood magic. While there is the Thunk and, depending on the wound there can be the Gargling of blood, the gargle is no different to a gun but Bows do not 'Twang' if they are not being used like a musical instrument and a arrow should not whistle.

HEY. A Crossbow Bolt would pierce Combat armour. I mean yes. They aint going to do ANYTHING to PA but most guns don't do much.

Unless they are using Ceramics, which I don't believe they are, it looks like a Kevlar alternate, then the Bolts will pierce pretty far

I JUST DID RESEARCH SAVAGE, AND GUESS WHAT I FOUND OUT? The soft under armor, or, Kevlar like stuff, is under ceramic plates also reinforced with Kevlar like stuff. So there!

It mentioned soft armor. You can't hit the noncloth looking bits and pierce it. I also dug up this.
