Oh man, this verbal sparring and suspicion is so good. Who is the cat and who is the mouse seems to shift fluidly, I love this kind of RP where the characters are played unknowing of key facts we've already got as players. So much fun! 😁

Agreed. And it's funny to me how Conrad tries to remain hidden for now, but has done just the thing to raise suspicion that he's more than he appears. even if, for now, only one character suspects, but it's probably the worst the character to have suspecting you of being more than a mortal, because she has a glimmer of more knowledge about other threats than the rest.

It was wildly ambitious of me to suggest I could update with guests and tight deadlines at work 😂. Once they leave and this release is done for sure I'll be back at it, but it turns out guests want to do things at night while visiting!

It's ok, we're having a blast talking amongst our characters. Well, I have a blast role-playing Droplets.

Haha, yes I agree with Red Shadow Claws! RP is going well, and we'll see how the story progresses when you've got time. Important to enjoy time with guests when you can. :)

Sorry, just reread an older post and realized Droplets is doing the read intentions. Somehow I missed that before. I'll get a post up addressing it.

Curious what Droplets will think when she learns his warform is a combination of human shape "man with sword" melded seamlessly with his spirit shape "man with shield." 😉😂

She's likely to be pissed. But she'll get over it. And will enjoy it if she learns he thought she was a Solar that fell into darkness.

Would be interesting to see what he would think when she learns Charms that are "out there" in terms of what Solars can do.

Yes, you're definitely waiting on me! Apologies, with this upcoming product release and travelling I haven't had much time to spare for this. I'd like to get back to it, but realistically can't post more than once a week until this release is done, which will be a few weeks yet at this rate. I have nothing scheduled for this weekend, so I'll be able to post.

I do have an idea I want to try afterwards. I work on LLM based agents, so I'm wondering if I can create a campaign support agent. It could help draft NPCs (coming up with culturally appropriate names and little personality/sensory details can take a lot of time, and so can making quick character stat blocks, and I think I could get it to suggest candidates for both), answer questions about things that happened in previous posts without me having to go search for them, keep track of events from previous scenes that should come back to influence a current scene, answer questions about the rules, etc etc. It could also help me draft posts from discord on the train to work without the benefit of a full keyboard. It think it would be a fun project.

Good to hear from you. I am still interested in this game, and I look forward to seeing what comes next!

I second that, real life can make it tough to post at times, especially when work gets crunchy. Absolutely still looking forward to more of this game when you've got time. :)

"I would love to go to the Underworld to see for myself as to what I have learned in both books and lessons at your feet. Mother, you can count me in."
Alright, catching up! Not to invalidate the excellent scene you all put together, but remember that bit when you chose a tight connection to the Underworld when crafting the city? The city has a shadowland market, with a special guild of ferrymen who can cross the river at the border of the shadowland and choose which side they come out on, day or night, for a small fee. For those of you who grew up in Ombrelune, you've all been to the Underworld, and are all familiar with the Underworld mirror of your city as if it were just another neighbourhood you can only reach by passing through one particular market. You've all gone shopping in the Coldfire Market and done business with ghostly merchants. You're familiar with ghosts entering the Creation side of your city by night to do business with mortals, and have crossed the bridge into the market during the day (when it's markedly less active, but there are still plenty of mortal and ghost-blooded traders there) when you can freely walk back across into Creation. The night markets on the Creation side of the river have some of the best food in the city for hungry mortal shoppers. The neighbhourhoods adjacent to the shadowland market by land are full of funerists, temples, and apothecaries making tinctures and salves out of Underworld ingredients.

Some small number of mortals choose to live on the Underworld side of the city, importing edible food for the living from the market, though this can have strange effects on them over the years. Many more visit to trade, meet with ghostly friends, peers, and lovers, or to participate in religious ceremonies, study at an academy, or attend a festival or cultural event.

For any character raised in Ombrelune you can consider yourself familiar with your corner of the Underworld and its workings to a degree almost unheard of in most parts of Creation, for good or ill.

Thanks to our generous ST, Droplets has now learned another Necromancy spell, and gained a new Survival Charm, that allows her to worsen weather conditions in an area (Survival + extra successes) miles in radius.
So, when we want to take care of those bandits outside the city, we can make the weather be bad for them.

I raised my Dodge to 5, added a Specialty to it to help me keep from getting skewered by a thrown spear again, and added the spell Hound of the Five Winds.

I am also seriously considering learning some Necromancy from my dearest mother. There are some very nice spells in that list.
