Meanwhile, my writing is all over the place though. Sometimes it's some short ahh piece of crap I cooked up in two minutes, other times it's some long ahh piece of crap I cooked up in two days. Consistency... I need that...

As for the roleplay, yeah, there are some interesting directions here so far. If you want, you can make another character for the second group too.

That's a good idea. Alternatively, perhaps before the day of the attack, the Black Dogs send a small detachment of troops to sneakily place some explosives—and on the way they meet Smoke (suspiciously) lurking about

whichever- mybe yours; depends if we want Smoke to question their orders/leaders yet

I think either way would be interesting, but for the character arc it might be better to have them start doubting later on. Maybe Smoke is perceived as “compromised” and some killers are sent after them.
