I had the small idea of when she got home she claimed she found him dead like last time but she killed him instead and faked devastation. I dunno if peter would be an ex or they just never met, but I have a confrontation idea for both possibilities

What if Mainframe had built this evil personality for Vera and used brain implants to try and take over her happy go lucky good guy personality but sometimes it glitches since the tech isn't yet fullproof and Vera's true personality just kind of springs out every now and then?
