Totally. You know, I used to think roleplaying was really weird and I was like "ew I'm NEVER gonna do that, it's weird." Now look at me. I took it up in 2020, and I enjoyed it. I love it and it's an amazing way to relieve stress, and Lord knows I need it right now lol.

Honestly I realised I was writing a ton and was worried like... "Is this too much? Liam's still young, and barely started just showing some interest. Don't want to overwelm him..." so sorry if that's a little too much for you littlemedia ! I really enjoy doing this as you can prob tell. So I can write and write and write for hours if im not too tired.

Nah I think he can benefit from all of that if he does actually chose to one day take up writing or roleplaying or creating characters. I know they say less is more, but sometimes I think more can be better lol.

I got given my first phone when I was like 9, but it was ab old one just SMS and Calls.. And a game of snake. The old green-toned Nokia bricks - and I wasn't given much credit. Told to only use it for emergencies or if I was at a friends place and needed picking up. Nothing social.

Looking at other people's characters is a great way I know I often do to get inspiration. I might see someone talk about how their character say is part of a club or does a sport and ask myself. 'I wonder if my character likes any particular sports?'. Honestly having never done this before its a really good start. As is taking interests of your own like dying your hair and incorperating that.
Your characters shouldn't be just you, that typically doesn't work great to just write yourself. (You didnt though,) But giving your characters some interests of your own and stuff is not only fun, but also makes them easier to write about. Cus you know what your writing about then.



This is already a great addition. I think just figuring out more of their interests, even small things of what kinda things they like or dislike can add a lot. Do they like particular food, what kinda things do they spend their money on (food, games, sports, movies, they're broke and have nothing to spend, ect), do they have any really big fears?. Questions like those can help I find in adding a lot of extra depth to the character.
These things can be changed and added to in time though so they can be a thing you figure out as you go along.

Ah nice.

I remember I think it was when I was entering middle school, I got this old crappy iPhone 5c, but I thought it was the coolest thing ever at the time. It sucked and it had 10 GB of storage. It was an awful phone, but my parents told me it was only meant for texting and calling. I remember I think the iPhone 6 was the fancy brand new thing back when I first got my first phone lol.

I get why she has her concerns but at the same time if i said its okay that should be that and its none of her business.

My mom just thinks she gets to control how I raise my kid and thats just not the case.

I might not be old enough to really comment on it, and I'm certainly not a parent, but I agree with you. She absolutely cannot control the way you raise your kid. You are an adult and a parent, you should be able to raise your kid how you want to. It's not in her place to tell you how to run things.

But again, it's probably not in my place to say these things as an outsider, but that's just my little two cents.

Sorry about the little rant there i was just rather annoyed about the situation cause she just kept going even after i told her that i knew about and was okay with it and that i keep an eye on it.

Its a hard place where I really don't want to comment. My opinions are with you - its your decision as their parent if you think he's mature enough and this space is appropriate, and if you trust us. But yeah like Edric said, we're outsiders.
