Realistic or Modern OOC: Santa Monica Home for Boys and Girls [Reboot!]

Yeah he seems like a really nice guy.

And im only ten so feel free to ignore me but this kinda feels like a good time for Jack to kinda like push himself a little and open up a bit more to being around people a little more. Even if he mostly just does it for Asher and still kinda mostly only talks to Asher. But it feels like here he could at least try and get himself to enjoy the party a bit like i said even if its just to make Asher feel better or whatever but i dont know I’ve never written a story or anything. You dont need to listen to anything i say

Yea, he's a good kid. Jack's got a good heart. He's just way too shy and quiet and keeps to himself too much, and is way too stubborn about his reserved ways lol.

Also, just because you're ten doesn't mean what you say "doesn't matter" or has any less value then something say I'd say or Dawn would say or even your dad (although in your case, Kai has the final say in most matters as your father lol). My point is, your input is certainly valid and welcome.

And yes, stepping back for a moment as an outsider from the RP, I totally agree with you Liam. In keeping true to that way I am writing his character, I don't know if I will take it that route, but as a human being outside of this little RP world, I totally agree with you. Jack could at least make some effort to kind of get out there a little bit, even if it's just for his friend Asher.

Yes they certainly do, sometimes it's warranted sometimes it's not. But in this case, you have every to comment upon this story! In fact, I actually love that you're commenting about it and talking about the story! It's awesome to see you're reading it and following along with it.

And yea I see your line of thinking tho, but Jack is extremely stubborn and really introverted, so as of now, I don't see him going out of his way to do something like that. However, maybe further down in the future when his character is developed a little bit more, he might be inclined to do something like that. We shall see.

Ooo also I totally thought when dad had Nathan like leaning in for that hug. For a moment i thought he was gonna have Nathan try and kiss Felix. That would have been weird cause doesn’t seem like they are there yet but for some reason thats what i thought was gonna happen

Felix hasn't realised he likes boys, or Nathan yet so would be hyper confused, and possibly a little panicked.

Felix and Nathan's crush is going to be a lot slower burn. Felix needing a lot of time to figure it out and get warmed up to it.
Right now Nate is just his friend. Super-cool-awesome friend who came out and skated with him. But just a friend.

You know how you mentioned how you found your Dad and Pops relationship weird, not being exposed to it. Felix has a similar issue to overcome first with himself first.

Yeah i get it Felix seems a lot like me.
I get Felix doesn’t even really know those feelings could exist and that it would be a long time before they really both start to feel that way about each other. Thats why i though it was kinda weird when i thought they were going to kiss. But i think i just thought even tho it seems weird for it to happen now it still would have been really cute.

Pretty much yeah. Someone in this your case your Dad offers to run the story and come sup with an idea.
Then we make characters and just write about what they do, in this case just hanging out in this huge fictional orphanage / foster home. We just tell a story of what they say, what they say, do, ect.

I never actually liked writing in English class at school, but this imo is a lot more fun. we just write what we want as long as it makes sense. We try and tell a fun little story, try and have those awesome, exciting, sad, or cute moments with the other characters. Just bouncing ideas off eachother for what would be a cool story or for ideas.

Fun way to pass the time for us, and to pretend to be someone else. Like im my case I am nowhere near as athletic as Felix, or as good at skating but its really fun to write about someone who is! I get to pretend to have his skill. We also sometimes ofc feel very bad for our characters as well, like obv Felix and Jack both lost family recently which is heartbreaking but that's interesting to think and write out still.
