Jack chuckled softly and followed her to the couch pulling her close to him "You know when we go they'll probably still be there....I don't want you going out alone okay?" He murmured quietly to her

Max smiled softly at him "I'm good, how are you? You seem tense." She murmured sipping at her drink some

He frowned a little, shrugging "I mean.... It's been a little over 16 years since I last saw you... It's strange. You let your hair go back to ginger... Looks good." He smiled a little. On his way over he'd had every intention of telling her about Letty, but now he was face to face he couldn't do it. "You uh... you seeing anyone or married or anything?" He asked her curiously.

Carmen frowned some but nodded in agreement, wrapping her arms around him tightly, "Yes sir." She smiled, pecking his cheek and just sat happily snuggled up to him while she watched some TV, her fingers tracing shapes on the back of his hand while they waited for the pizza

Max gave a small nod "Yeah I get what you mean....it is a little nerve racking." She murmured blushing a light shade a pink when he complimented her "Thanks....got tired of keeping it dark." She said giving a small laugh before taking another sip of her drink nearly choking on it when he asked if she was married "Oh no...no um...no one has really ever captured my heart...since I left." She said mumbling the last part hoping he didn't hear

Jack cuddled with her contently as they watched TV. He got the pizza once it arrived and came back placing it on the table once it was paid for "So what do you think about maybe trying adoption?" He asked softly

She sighed quietly and looked over at him. “I don’t know. I don’t really... there can be so many problems that come with that... it’s not as simple as pick a kid and take it home.” She mumbled, rubbing her hands on her legs nervously before going in for the pizza.

He just nodded and sighed a little. “I was seeing someone... four years.... but we uh, we didn’t make it past the first time she saw me at the club.... she’s got full custody of our kids.” He muttered, leaning back playing with his lighter some. “Things haven’t changed much round here... angels little brother is prospecting for the club now, you remember EZ? You were in the same class I think” he muttered.

Jack frowned some and took her hand in his looking at her a bit saddened "Do you want kids sugar? Be honest with me now." He murmured noticing she kind of always dismissed trying any kind of way to have them since they found out they wouldnt be able to have their own

Max nodded and frowned some "You have kids? Do you see them ever?" She asked softly biting her lip gently as her mind briefly wandered to their little girl they had given up. She gave a soft sigh and smiled some "Oh yeah I remember him, we didn't talk much he was a jock." She said giving a small laugh "Never would have pegged him to join the club."

He frowned some shaking his head, " A boy and a girl.... I doubt they even remember me." He muttered sighing heavily and leaned back, "Yeah he uh... Their mom was killed, EZ went after the guy who he thinks did it... Shot a cop and killed him and ended up in prison, just got out." He muttered, "We would have been awful parents back then Max." He mumbled seeing the way she was looking, clearly thinking about their daughter.

She frowned some and swallowed a bit, "I don't know Jack... I used to want them." She mumbled. They'd been desperate and they'd been going at it like jack rabbits trying to get pregnant but when, after two years, there had still been nothing.... They went to a specialist and found there was likely never going to be any baby... Not for her at least. "I know you still want to be a father and I get it baby I do.... I just don't know that I want a child that isn't ours." She murmured to him. "Give me a month.... Give me a month to think about it a lot and I will give you my definite answer then." She told him, taking another slice of pizza.

Jack frowned softly but gave a small nod letting her hand go "Alright, I can do that." He murmured before he took a slice of pizza for himself

Max nodded some and bit her lip again before she finished off the rest of her drink "I know, I don't regret it. I just hope that wherever she is...she ended up with a nice loving family that gave her everything we couldn't." She explained softly

She finished eating and as always, moved to curl up against him, resting her head on his shoulder to continue watching their movie, only tonight she was asleep within a few minutes, having worn herself out with all the worrying she'd been doing about him and their future.

He nodded slowly. There was no way that he could tell her now and so he just carried on to other topics until he saw it was getting close to midnight "How long you gonna be in town for?" He asked her quietly. He'd been worried about the answer to that question from the moment he'd walked through the door

Jack ate only a few pieces before he went back to watching the movie. When he noticed her asleep he smiled and picked her up carrying her up to bed and tucking her in before he went downstairs to clean up and then head up to bed as well.

Max chatted with him for hours falling back into that familiar chemistry they had always had with one another "I'm actually living here for now. I got a job opportunity and have a exibition coming up as well."

She grumbled a little when she felt him move out of bed in the morning and woke up to see him opening the curtains. “No... jack come back to bed.” She mumbled reaching for him.

he smiled some and watched her “well then... I guess that I’ll be seeing you around here.... we should get going though before they kick us out.l he chuckled as the place was near empty by this point and he got up walking her to her car.

Jack woke up early that morning and yawned big. He got up and went to their big window in their room and pulled it open smiling at the scene of just trees from the forst that was behind their house. When he heard Carmen he chuckled lightly going to the bed and crawling in the hover above her "Mmmm come on sugar....time to get up." He whispered in her ear, his southern drawl thicker than normal due how groggy his voice still was.

Max gave a small nod and laughed lightly "Yeah that would be good." She said to him before paying for her things and leaving with him "It was good to see you Johnny...we should do this again." She said softly before she kissed his cheek gently and made her way back to her car. When she woke up the next morning she groaned lightly at the alarm clock quickly turning it off and sighing heavily knowing she needed to get to work.

Carmen smiled shaking her head and pulling him down to her. “Mmm.... you know you drive me crazy when your voice is like that?” She murmured, pulling his face to hers and kissing him softly. ”I think you should stay in bed.... have breakfast once you get to work.” She mumbled smiling at him some.

coco woke up early and groaned a little going to get some water and headed into the club after getting dressed, watching Chucky head in and out doing a delivery, shaking his head some. The dude was nuts but coco liked him well enough

Jack smirked some and pulled her close making sure she felt his morning wood "Mmm maybe what I want from breakfast is right here?" He said softly before kissing down her neck and soon making his way under the covers.

Max sighed heavily and made her way to city hall so she could start her work doing photography for the paper.

She grinned and tangled her fingers in his hair letting him carry on .... once she was definitely more awake she rolled over to sit up and smiled over at him. “Mmm, I love you Jack... more than I think you know but whatever happens, when we get to Cali.... I will support any decision you make.” She promised. “Within reason...” she murmured, leaning down and pecking his lips before getting up to get dressed.

he got bored several times during the day and, resting his luck, decided to fill those with texting Max. Seeing her last night had brought back every single feeling for her tenfold and to say he missed her now more than ever would be an understatement.

Jack smiled happily at her and panted softly giving a small laugh a kissing her back before he went to get ready for the day making his way to the station quick. He frowned more when he got in and found the town drunk in the cell giving a heavy sigh "What did he do think time?" He muttered to his cadet. This was about the highlight of his week and although he loved his job he sometimes did miss the action that occured in the DEA.

Max worked for most of the day texting Coco throughout smiling happily everytime he responded. Them talking again made her feeling come back like a huge wave and it made her beyond happy. She knew she should proberly be weary of this but she was falling all over again

Jason looked over at him and chuckled. “Best one yet. He was found down at the old folks home offering residents money if they would suck him off.” He snorted. “How's everything with the missus? Carol said she was out back crying yesterday at the salon, couldn't fuckin' wait to tell Laura when we ran into her at the grocery store." He muttered, rolling his eyes. The lady that ran all the church activities in town also seemed to have a way of being the town gossip and rumor starter.

He had just sent her another text when he heard Letty's voice and he looked up seeing her walking over with another girl, "What are you doing here? Leticia you can't be bringing random people to the club." He muttered, ushering her and her friend into the office but once she told him it was just cause they would be going to see a movie and she'd be home a bit later he relaxed, passing her some cash and sent her away with the girl again, sighing quietly. She looked more and more like her mother every day and until he'd seen max ysterday it had hurt every time he saw it

Max bit her lip some as she looked over his last text wanting to see him again. She quickly sent him a message asking if he would like to meet up again hoping he would say okay. She didn't have anyone here anymore and after years of being out of the dating scene having feelings for someone again really made her happy

Jack sighed heavily shaking his head some "We're moving to California for a bit...I've gotten an offer from the DEA to help with a case." He explained adjusting his stetson on his head "You'll be sheriff when I'm gone."

Jason nodded some frowning, "Wow... Big dog leagues again... You ready to get back into that cut throat world?" He asked him, leaning back and putting his hands behind his head, frowning when a call came through about someone calling for the cops to get down to the salon for an unruly client who was refusing to leave. "Usuallly she just texts you doesn't she?" He frowned, getting up though and heading down there with him, cutting their conversation short.

He glanced down at his phone and smiled some, going to check that Bishop didn't have any jobs for him before agreeing that he could se her any time, heading home after that to just lounge around there instead. With no Angel around for the moment he was bored out of his mind.

Max came up to the old house biting her lip hard but smiling happily seeing his bike there. He hadn't moved in all those years. She walked up and knocked on the door laughing lightly when she saw him open the door "Hey....sorry I just...I couldn't wait." She said pushing some hair behind her ear blushing lightly

Jack frowned checking phone and getting worried when he didn't see a text. He sighed heavily and got into the car driving off to the salon quickly rushing in when he saw the men acting like a maniac from the front window "Sir what seems to be the problem?"

The guy turned around looking at the cops and glared at them, "This fucking bitch! I know ink when I see it! She's a long way from home isn't she?" He spat, pointing at Carmen. She'd bent over while sweeping up some hair, her shirt had ridden up and her Mayans ink had been on full display. Carmen herself was stood behind the counter looking worried as she was wringing her hands "You on some kind of set up?! You spying on me for your Mayans?! I can't believe they let whores like you into this town." He was just passing through but the jacket he'd left on the hooks at the front had Samcro Nomad all over it.

He looked at her half awake from having been taking a nap but nodded some and walked outside, grabbing his keys and kutte, "Why don't we go get some lunch?" He suggested, heading to his car rather than the bike. He was relaxed around her, but putting her on the back of his bike was a step he wasn't ready to take with her just yet

Max gave a small nod smiling softly amd getting in the car with him "You know, I never did tell you that the longer hair looks good on you." She said smiling more at him "I would've thought you would be at the clubhouse all day."

Jack frowned some seeing how worried Carmen looked. He shook his head some and stood infront of the man making sure he couldn't see Carmen "We all have past lives, she is doing no wrong and is a good citizen here in our town. Now I'm going to have to kindly ask you to leave and go find another town to get your hair cut in."

Carmen watched the man carefully, seeing he was weighing up his options before grunting and getting out of there, only relaxing once she heard the bike roaring off into the distance "I had no idea he was a Sons. I didn't see his jacket til he was yelling at me." She muttered, instantly relaxing when she felt JAck's hands on her waist. He always knew how to ground her and get her to calm "I really gotta get that shit off my back." She sighed quietly.

He smiled some at her shaking his head, "No... Doesn't work like that.... only gotta work when I get told to, don't have anything til tomorrow afternoon... plus when it's just me I don't wanna hang around the scrap yard.' He muttered, "How's your aunt these days?" He asked her curiously and parked up outside the pizza place just outside of town

Max frowned softly shaking her head some "Coco I know you were at her funeral....I saw you there off in the back...after Aaron died she lost herself drowned in booze." She murmured sighing heavily "I don't have any family left." She said shrugging a bit "I'm okay though, I've put my grief and demons to rest." She said rambling a bit

Jack went straight over to her and looked at her worriedly placing her hands on her hips "Its gonna be alright." He murmured giving a small chuckle "Yeah that could be helpful." He teased

She frowned, holding onto him for a moment, "You better get back to work, I'm only on half day anyway, I'll stop by with lunch later okay?" She murmured, pecking his cheek and walked back over to her station to get all tidied up from that guy throwing stuff everywhere.

He frwned some shaking his head "No I wasn't... I didn't know, I'm sorry." He told her, reaching over and squeezing her hand, "Hey... Let this be a fresh start." He smiled at her some, getting out and going in to get a table with her

Max gave a soft smile and nodded softly squeezing his hand as well "Yeah, a fresh start." She murmured happily before getting out and going inside with him "So how have things been here? Whats happened?"

Jack nodded softly and kissed her gently before he left and went back to work sighing softly shaking his head some
