Nation Building Ogigia in Flames

If my sheet is accepted, Athyrium will probably be hated by most nations because they practice slavery. And they don't really recognize other races who live there unless they have documents or are on official business.

I think not. What else does that land do other than the slave trade to make us hate it so much?

Though Corvago does not actively practice slavery, business is business. As long as you pay you can get away with almost anything.

I'm pretty sure that will be true for at least my kingdom. Slavery is something that the Royals, especially Aaru, hates more than war.

More or less my kind of thinking. If we need extra laborers we can just buy these individuals who are seen as 'objects' that can be purchased.

I can confirm one nation does slavery better than u

Since other races have no status there, they generally have a bad time. Plus I'm thinking the Church scriptures will list them outside of the so-called "chosen people". Maybe not as far as saying they're cursed but it just gives the Athyrians a reason to dislike them.

@LeviathanL

Good to know! This could be the beginning of a profitable relationship.

@The Suspicious Eye

Definitely sounds like we will be seeing each other on the battlefield at some point.

@NeoLeaf

Same as Leviathan.

@Atom

Was that supposed to be a jab at the U.S.?

Er... no. I'm from the US. Would not make a jab.

I've got a nation in my inbox with a 7 mil slave pop.

Sylvara doesn't practice slavery, but doesn't look down on it. As long as no Elves are a part of it, of course.

It also gives my nation another reason to hate the mongrels in @The Suspicious Eye's nation, since they hate slavery! :D

@The Suspicious Eye's nation, since they hate slavery! :D
Yay hate! xD

Aaru really hates slavery, like a lot. She has a very hot temper and that is seriously one of her triggers. She is like Rionah scary... but way more violent @Atom

Eh... Looks like the only way to contact other nations is through the Athyrian Republic. That will lead to the discovery of Corvago who might in turn get more connections through via trade with the other nations - pretty giood. Kingdom of Sylvara and Rhianthriel are Coastal somewhere on Atom's map but if one of them is close to me as a landlocked nation then I believe I could bother them with my caravans and what not.

Nice none the less.

@Atom
Rionah was a kitten, so jay for that.

Finally done ;3;

I'm sorry @Atom for being so late, I've suddenly had a lot less time on my hands recently...

Anyways! Time to get some of dem relationships going >:3 *Cracks knuckles*
Lol, you just didn't know her plans. Her plans were scary.
man, i never saw her do anything but cry at lost lives and angry spirits. (my memory may be schewed since her plans severely messed up my own)

@Atom Do we have control in what goes on within our nations/city states?

I want to introduce some of the local wildlife onto the field for people who dare tread upon my nation's lands. Reptilians that hunt in packs ( call them raptors if need be ), grotesque herbivores and of course giant sandworms ( like in masseffect3 ).
