Of Shadows and Swords (Chiarra)

Archer shifted a little, biting back the "You" that wanted to come out, because this was not his usual flirting without meaning and he couldn't say that or she'd get upset. She was so fond of the truth though, and he was horrible at the truth, so he shrugged. "I don't know. . . I like jewels and other expensive trinkets? More of those would be nice." But also he wanted Lucius to be happy, wanted them to be able to see Aaric again, some time in the future - wanted them to have a future at all. All his wants coincided with his worries and he didn't want to tell her those.

She could tell there was something he wasn't saying. There was always something he wasn't saying. "Archer," she said so softly it was almost a whisper. She took his hand gently in hers and held it. Maybe someday he would open up to her. That was one thing she wanted. To know him completely, the good and bad parts about him. She wouldn't pressure him for it though, that wouldn't be right. He had to do it in his own time. She leaned in and gave him a soft kiss.

Archer didnt turn his head at his name, knowing it wasnt really meant to draw his attention, but when she moved closer in his peripheral he tilted his head back enough to meet her kiss easily. ". . . Why do I feel like you always see right through me?" He asked, his tone soft and with something almost mournful to it, though he didn't expect an answer. "I hate it when people do that." He added, but without any heat, or a request for her to stop. He knew she couldn't just turn it off.

She embraced him then, at his question. "I can see it in your eyes," she said. "You're face masks everything but..." she pulled away from him, looking him in the eyes. She reached up and touched his face softly. "You're eyes..." She leaned in for another kiss.

Archer tilted his head enough to let her get closer, let them kiss probably. "Then, maybe," he breathed between short kisses, eyes fluttering closed, "ill just keep them closed." He didn't need them for this. It was almost better without them.

Melody smiled as he spoke and rested her forehead against his for a bit. "Archer," she breathed as she kissed him then, gently and softly.
((Dishes so replies will be a bit slow))

He kept his eyes closed, just let the touch of her skin against his guide him when she rested her head against his, then kissed him again. "I'll tell Lucius tonight, all right?" He said softly once she'd pulled away again. "Then we won't have to sneak off anymore."

She smiled, happy at what he said. "Really?" she asked. "Thank you Archer." She blushed a bit when she remembered something and said, "And no, you don't just have to kiss me on the cheek when you do."

Archer smiled and laughed a little, butting his head gently against hers. "Once I tell him I will kiss you however I feel like."

She smiled back at him and said, "I would like that." She bit her lip a bit before she kissed him once more.

((I think she may like kissing a little too much loll))

((lol Bad, Melody. Bad.))

Archer chuckled lightly and let her kiss him again, then just turned his head a little aside. "Tell me something, since you've been asking me so many questions. Was I your first kiss?"

((Lol ^_^ ))

She blushed a bit and looked down. "My first willing one," she said. Edward had forced her to kiss him several times, for show in front of her parents and just so she knew perfectly well what he was capable of.

Archer made a face at that, but kissed her again to make up for it. "Then I can see why you keep wanting more." He smiled a little when she flushed. "Dont worry, I'm happy to erase those bad memories for you."

She blushed at his words and nodded at him, leaning against him slightly. Unfortunately, she didn't think she'd ever lose those bad memories.

Archer freed a hand to grab one of hers and hold on to it, running his thumb over her skin. "Don't get that face. We're gone from that place now. It's time to forget it."

She smiled softly and nodded, looking down at their hands before she looked up at him. "You make faces," she said in a soft tone.

Archer paused, surprised, then laughed softly. "I suppose I do. Sometimes expressions are more revealing than words. . . Also I tend to put my foot in my mouth when I speak so sometimes keeping quiet is best."

Melody smiled softly at him before just being quiet a moment, taking what he said as meaning that he wanted to stop talking about this. After a few moments more, she yawned and her eyes started to close from being so sleepy.

When her head started to loll against his shoulder, he shook his head and nudged her gently upright. "Come on," he said, standing and taking her hands to pull her up. "It's bed time for you, missy."

She smiled and chuckled some more as he spoke, but stood up with him to head back to their tent. It was getting pretty late. "When will you tell him tomorrow?" she asked as they walked, coming closer and closer to the tent.

Archer shook his head and led her into their tent for her to lay down. "Ill catch him outside when he comes back, and ill tell him tonight."

Melody sat down and nodded, smiling. "Thank you Archer," she said before laying down, sleep taking over the moment she did.

"This was nice," Natalie said, smiling and blushing. "I best be getting back though before it get's too late and master notices I'm gone."

Lucius smiled a little and nodded. "All right. I'll - I'll just see you in the morning then. Good night." He slipped away as she snuck back towards her own tent, and found Archer waiting for him outside their own. Their exchange was brief, Archer telling him that he and Melody were 'romantic' now, whatever that meant, and Lucius just rolling his eye and saying he'd known since he caught them kissing once, when they hadn't noticed. Archer felt sort of stupid about it, like he should've known beforehand, but that was that. At least now he didn't feel he needed to sneak around.
