Of Shadows and Swords (Chiarra)

"You don't hurt Lu, then why should I hate you?" He caught her sleeve when she was close, held on but didn't tug her closer. "You're growing on me."

"I didn't mean to hurt him the first time," she said softly, feeling him grab her sleeve. She leaned in closer, her stomach full of butterflies.

"I know." He said, shrugging, though he was admittedly still a bit bitter about that part. "Let's not talk about that anymore. It just upsets everyone." A little bit closer. If she came just a little bit closer, he could lean up and kiss her.

She nodded softly sighing. It was just a bit hard not to talk about it sometimes, because she felt so darn guilty. She knew it was best not to. "I'm sorry," she said softly, her head dipping a little lower in shame, which also was enough for him to lean up and kiss her.

Archer smiled faintly, wondering if she even knew what she'd done in putting her head down, and just tilted his head back enough to press his lips to hers. He almost wanted to tell her that standing was a bother, but that was much too forward for this girl, so just contented himself in that little kiss. Little things would be enough. Lucius was going to have his head.

Her eyes widened a bit in surprise when he kissed her, not really expecting him to do it in that moment, but then they closed and she was kissing him back, awkwardly, proof that he was her first kiss.

Archer reached up a hand to brush his fingers over her cheek and jaw, not holding onto her hair for fear of her thinking he would keep her in place. He guided her gently to the right angle and just kissed her, slowly and chastely. It was nice, for once, not to have anything expected of him.

Her skin tingled where his fingers brushed over it and she felt giddy inside, and that any moment she would be caught and punished for it, but she didn't care. This kiss was worth any punishment her parents would give her and the worse was being locked in her room for days. The thrill of doing something forbidden to her was amazing and yet...she found this kiss was more than that. Way more than that. She found she actually liked Archer, and when the kiss broke, she couldn't stop smiling and she was blushing.

((I've been awake much too long. Night!))

Archer sighed softly when she pulled away, just smirking a little and trying to decide whether to be giddy or tired. "You're all red." He said, trying also not to laugh so that he wouldn't injure himself like the last time. "It's cute."

((Okay then ^_^ Night ))

That just made her blush even more and she sat on the floor next to the bed. She was going to miss her bed tonight, but Archer needed it more with his hurt ribs.

Archer smiled a little when she moved away and just shifted a little so he could still see her. "You can still sleep here, you know." He said, just lacing his fingers together over his stomach and settling in. "We'd fit, and you're always trying to get Lu up here."

She just blushed a little and said, "I did give up on that though, and I offered for you too." She did get up and crawl onto the bed though, sitting up in it. "Does it still hurt?" she asked him.

Archer shrugged a little. "A little." He said, shifting a bit to better accommodate her and trying not to laugh. "We both know Lu was never going to let me sleep in the same bed as you."

She blushed a bit and couldn't help but smile. "Yeah," she said. "He probably won't let me sleep here tonight though."

((Sorry, had to make/eat lunch))

Archer shook his head. "No, I think it'll be fine. He doesn't want you to sleep on the floor, and I need a bed, so it'll be fine. Not like I can move at all like this." If he tried to even turn on his side it would probably hurt.

((It's okay ^_^ ))

"Would you like anything?" she asked. "Water?" They couldn't really have food right now, not until Lucius came back.

Archer started to shake his head, then changed his mind and nodded. "If you'd be so kind. You should drink something too. We did a lot of running."

She nodded and got up to get to cups of water, bringing one back to Archer and sitting back down on the bed and took a drink. "Where else have you traveled?" she asked, very curious.

Archer thought a little while, drinking quietly. "A lot of places. I never stayed long anywhere, just kept moving." He smiled a little. "I'd need a big map to show you all the places I've been, and honestly I might not remember half of them."

He laughed quietly, hands pressed to his stomach to stop it hurting, and only winced a little. "Not many i can tell without incriminating myself. Plausible deniability, all right, princess?"

She sighed softly. "Alright then. You don't have to call me princess you know," she said. "Probably safer if you didn't."

He smirked faintly. "It's not a title. Just a pet name. I've called commoners 'princess' before." It was fine. She wouldn't even be able to tell if he was teasing.

She opened her mouth to say something, but changed her mind and closed it again. She had no idea what to say to that, so she decided to change the subject. "Do you want to hear me play the song you taught me?" she asked him. "Or any other song?"

Archer consided and nodded, settling in a bit further so as to be able to rest while she played. "Play me your favorite song."

((Watching movies. Gonna go for a bit))
