Noah chuckled softly as he helped her to the living area to lay on the couch "Well thats good to hear after you saying I smelt like a sweaty pig last night." He said teasingly knowing that her sense of smell had been going haywire lately.

Max smiled some as she turned her attention to Erik once she put her phone down "Chicken nuggets huh? Well I think I can make those. Come here." She said opening her arms for him "Uncle Hvitserk said to give you a big hug."

She frowned. “Yeah well you should work on not smelling like that.” She grumbled, getting comfy as she could and just relaxed into his arms, letting him choose what they put in the tv, laying in silence with him for a while until she snuggled his arm a little closer, biting him a little hard.

He giggled and went over to give her a cuddle. “But I don’t want vegetables.” He told her with his best attempt at a serious face.

Noah yelped when she bit him looking at her with a confused look "What the hell? Uh you good there?" He asked as he watched her a bit "You hungry or something?"

Max hugged him tightly and raspberried his cheeks "No vegetables huh?! I think we need some carrots." She said with a small smile watching him a bit.

She shook her head, smiling at him, "You just looked tasty." She laughed, getting snuggled in a little more, grabbing a blanket to pull over them both relaxing under his touch when she felt his hand go to her bump. "She was restless all night long." She told him quietly.

He shook his head and giggled, trying to push her away "Nuh uh! No vegetables. Just nuggets." He giggled, wriggling to try and get down.

Noah smiled softly as he rubbed gentle circles on her bump "You keeping Momma up all night little one? You gotta let her sleep." He said gently smiling more when he felt her kick "She recognises my voice."

Max laughed lightly and put him down before going to start on food "You gotta have vegetables though, that way you can become big and strong like your uncles."

She smiled tiredly. “Doesn’t help that when I was sleeping I was having bad dreams.” She mumbled, “she does indeed. My father is already planning how much he will spoil her.” She rolled her eyes a little, starting to fall asleep for a nap while enjoying the last day of peace and quiet with Noah.

He shook his head. “Uncle sigurd not strong though. Uncle Bjorn say he pathetic and he a weasel.” He told her having overheard his uncle Bjorn on the latest get together

Noah smiled some as she fell asleep against him and looked over his phone trying to wrap his head around his new responsibilities.

Max frowned deeply and shot a look towards Erik "Do not say that Erik. Your uncles say things they shouldn't. Sigurd is strong in his own ways." She explained to him. Even if she wasn't the biggest fan of him, she didn't want her son to be ugly like that.

She slept for a few hours, and woke up to the sound of Noah talking to someone, laying super still and taking a minute to realise he was talking to her bump, feeling his hand rubbing circles gently

He frowned and crossed his little arms, not liking being told off, huffing and going to sit down away from her

Noah rubbed circles on her bump smiling softly. He had moved while she was sleeping, so now he was infront of her on the couch his lips pressing small light kisses to her bump as well. "I can't wait to meet you, you're going to be so loved little one. You'll be gorgeous like your momma, and I'll do everything to keep you safe. I promise you that." He said quietly not noticing Carmen waking up at all.

Max sighed and got on with making lunch for the both of them. Once it was ready she got his plate and called for him to come eat. She frowned though as he came back in still frowning "Whats the matter Erik? Talk to me."

She smiled tiredly and just slowly reached over to run her fingers through his hair. “You’re gonna be great.” She murmured, yawning a little and slowly stretching out. “I know you’ve been worrying about it… but you’re gonna be amazing. I just know it.” She promised him, reaching for him to help her up a little.

he frowned and just crossed his arms, staring at the floor. “Daddy wouldn’t tell me off.” He grumbled, kicking at the table leg a little.

Noah looked over at her and smiled softly letting a few tears fall "I really hope I do....." he whispered before moving to face her and kissed her gently "You have a good nap?"

Max sighed heavily and frowned a bit "Listen, I'm sorry I snipped at you. I just want you to be nice to your family okay? Your uncles work very hard and help us a lot okay?" She explained to him.

She nodded and smiled tiredly. “I’m finally starting to feel like shit with this and I’m so sleepy. All the time. You got a little hedgehog for a wife. Hibernating.” She smiled, sitting up a little and pushed the blanket off of her, pulling her sweater off and just sat there all messy hair and looking half asleep still. “I want pizza.” She told him frowning.

He frowned and kept kicking at the table, grumpy as anything now and staying that way for the rest of the evening.

Noah moved to stand up and stretched a bit as well "Pizza huh? I thought you wanted Takoyaki?" He teased before kissing her cheek "What kind do you want?"

She frowned a little and shook her head. “I want pizza now.” She grumbled, getting him to help her up, picking out what she wanted and went to shower while she waited for dinner to get there, enjoying their last quiet evening together before he was back at work.

Hvitserk met max outside the office the following morning and smiled some. “Thank you for bringing this. Everyone else is already inside. Just waiting on Carmen and Noah, how’s Erik about going to school now?”

Max smiled some as she hugged her brother in law "Good, he's loving it so far which is a plus. He's mad at me for getting onto him yesterday. Bjorn apparently said some rude things infront of him about Sigurd and now Erik is repeating them." She explained with a small shake of her head.

Noah smiled some as he got into the car with Carmen sighing some "I hope they don't give us too much shit. I can only move around so much right now." He murmured as he buckled up and their driver pulled off from the house.

He chuckled and nodded. “Sigurd is an asshole. No need to tell him off for knowing that already.” He told her, heading inside with her and out of the cold. “We’re having peace talks with another family today. The Skarsgards.” He told her “one of the brothers has been a problem in our asses for too long.” He muttered, shaking his head a little as they headed upstairs.

She shook her head and just squeezed his hand. “They’ll be fine. Plus I was pretty slow this morning too… I know I said I wanna go shopping for baby after this but maybe we should just come home. I don’t think I should be on my feet much today.” She mumbled.

Max felt her eyes widen a little when he mentioned the Skarsgards but immediately corrected her face "Oh? Ivar never mentioned them before." She said as they made their way up to the offices.

Noah smiled some as he held her hand and nodded "We can try again tomorrow. Or you can online shop." He said as he played with her fingers.

Hvitserk nodded and took her through to the meeting room, introducing her to the three older brothers before taking a seat with her. “Ubbe won’t be making it but once my sister is here we can start.” He told them.

She nodded slowly, rubbing at her face. “I have an appointment tomorrow anyway, talk to them about these dizzy spells.” She told him quietly, leaning back and just tried to relax until they arrived, heading inside with him, going straight up to the meeting room. “Sorry we’re late, someone wasn’t letting me keep my breakfast down.” She smiled, taking a seat, raising an eyebrow when she noticed max in the room as well, not saying anything though.

Max gave a small smile and shook all of their hands noticing Bill was nowhere to be found. "Do I really need to be in here?" She asked Hvitserk quietly. She'd never been really involved with meetings or the business fully, so she wondered why she needed to be there.

Noah walked in slowly and frowned a bit seeing Max there. She's given them both a heartfelt apology when he was out of the hospital, but he was still wanting his distance kept for the time being.

Bill had gone to use the restroom and finally returned to the meeting room, locking eyes with max immediately before dropping the contact and heading straight to sit down with his brother.

Carmen sat waiting quietly, fiddling with the pen in front of her until the last skarsgard made it into the room, catching the look between him and max and just tensed, giving Noah’s thigh a gentle squeeze and sighed as the meeting started, spending the whole time watching between the two of them and started realising he was the guy she’d been seeing.

Max sat up a bit as her eyes locked with Bill for a moment once he was in the room. She did her best to seem unphased during the meeting but her and Bill both kept stealing glances at one another throughout it. Once it was over she stood with Hvitserk ready to leave as soon as possible.

Noah helped Carmen up as the meeting ended and kissed the side of her head gently "You alright?" He asked quietly as he waited for everyone else to leave the room.

She nodded and frowned "Yeah.. Give me a second. I need to talk to Max but I'll see you in your office." She told him quietly, going to pull Max away from Hvitserk. "Hvitty you mind giving Noah a hand getting settled in the office?" She asked him, already pulling Max away from everyone "Walk with me." She told her frowning, heading out to where the vending machine was, punching her code in to get a drink, trying to look as nonchalant as possible while the Skarsgards were still in the building. "I'm happy for you that you are ready to move forward with your life Maxine but not him." She told her a little bluntly. "And don't bullshit me because I saw all of that. Bill is the reason that Noah is still struggling to move some days. Granted he was a hired hand but he still pulled the fucking trigger." She told her frowning. "So unless you want to be cut off from everything Ivar set up for the two of you then you will be done with him. Immediately." She warned her. She'd grown colder if it was even possible since the accident and especially with a baby on the way wasn't playing around with her family's safety

Bill sighed quietly as they walked out of there. He wasn't sure what he had expected but it wasn't that and now he felt a little blindsided by his own family, stood out in the hallway with Alex giving him a bollocking he couldn't help but look over to where Max was stood with the daughter of Ragnar he had shot. He couldn't hear their conversation but from the look on her face he could feel that things were ending for them before they'd even really begun and he just wanted to get out of there and go for a drink.

Max listened to Carmen and went a bit wide eyed "Wait hold on, he what? Carmen....shit Carmen I didn't know that I swear. We met in rehab and hit it off, but I didn't know he pulled the trigger. I didn't even know his family had issues with ours." She told her truthfully hoping she would actually believe her.

Alex frowned and snapped his fingers infront of his brother's face "Hey! Are you listening? Bill we really fucking need this to work right now." He explained

She frowned and bit her tongue for a moment before nodding "Fine. But now you do. So end it. Or I will." She told her seriously and went to find Noah, sighing quietly as she found him sat going over a few papers. "I need to go home puppy, I don't feel great." She told him quietly, "You gonna stay here?" She asked him quietly.

He turned and glared at him, smacking his hand away "Do that again I fucking dare you." He spat at him, "I know we do! You've told me enough!" He snapped, turning and walking away to head out, glancing over at Max and sighing quietly, planning to text her in the car.

Max frowned deeply as she went to find Hvitserk to ask if she was still needed. She gave a heavy sigh as she felt her phone buzz not even looking at it for the time being. "Hey Hvitty, you need me here anymore?"

Noah looked up when he saw Carmen come in and smiled some "Yeah I got a few things to do, shouldn't be more than a couple hours." He explained before getting up and kissing her gently "I love you beautiful."
