Of Brick and Stone (open)

Aaly glanced at one little shop that was just a few blocks away from the building "Down there" She said as she pointed it over with her left hand "Just... Don't take many things with you from there" She added softly. If she didn't need to have the strength for the next day to keep an eye on those guys she wouldn't even think it twice before refusing to let anyone break into the pharmacy. She felt awful by doing so, but she needed it, she really did.

(Well I do wonder what happened with the others :/ )

(Lolz, I mean in the roleplay, it's nighttime)

"Be back before you know it," Halo said walking to the door that led to the stairwell. Once on the street, Halo made sure to take in all of his surroundings. He wanted to make sure that the hounds were no where to be found. If one of them caught up to him, then it would be game over. Gripping the knife, Halo made his way across the street. He noticed the dead bodies that littered the street, and he had to hold his breath as he got closer, the stench was so bad.

Halo made it to the pharmacy without running into any trouble.

"So far so good." he muttered. Walking around back, he kicked in the door. The cheep locks made it easy to get inside. Halo closed the door behind him and started looking through the shelves. The selection on meds were low and Halo recognized that a lot of the names on the bottle had been discontinued from the richer districts. Halo scanned through the bottles and picked up one that was labeled acetaminophen. Shaking the bottle he saw that it was already half empty. Halo pocketed the bottle and grabbed some aloe vera rub and bandages.

Halo was about to take his leave when he head the floor board creek under weight. He spun around and brought the knife up chest level.

"Who's there?" he called out.

There was a laugh.

"Show yourself now!" Halo called again.

"Okay, relax, I'm not going to hurt you, just wondering why you're stealing from here. I'm sure we need the meds more then you."

A young man stepped out from the shadows, he looked to be about Halo's age, maybe a bit older. Halo relaxed.

"I need them, someone's hurt."

The man grinned. "What, did your little girlfriend get hurt?"

"Are you going to try and stop me from leaving?"

There was a pause and Halo thought he would have to fight his way out. But then the man laughed again. Walking past Halo he grabbed a bottle of something.

"Here," he said taking Halo's hand and dropping something in it. "Now you owe me a favor." With that, he left.

Halo raised an eyebrow, what the hell just happened? He looked in his hand. A key?

"What the...?" Halo looked around one last time before leaving himself.

(I knooooow It makes me so sad :(

(lol ohhh)

The shop was running full time this time, and the lady carried around her whip like usually. Manuevering through all the customers and documents that were spread out against the floor, she brought food to those who had waited over an hour. Some asked for rooms, others asked to see the list of severents. Rushing through out the building, customers were being served and children were being sold.

Aaly watched him get out of the building and continued to do so until she couldn't see him anymore. She let out a soft laugh as she tried to wipe the sweat from her forehead. Who would have thought the guy would end up going out on the streets to go and take some meds for her while she stayed there wounded and sick? Could it get anymore ironic? She glanced over to Crisis, and there she had been complaining and being a bother a few minutes before... Aaly didn't actually thought she would really fall asleep as easily as that. Her first time she hadn't been able to do so until she actually fainted from lack of sleep, maybe the girl was braver than she actually gave her the credit of.

Aaly then looked back down at her 'bandaged' wound. It was a nicely done bandaging... Would that also be because of the fact that the guy had been born on District 8? Give that guy a good weapon and maybe he would be able to keep himself and his girlfriend alive. So those were the advantages of having been born on a poor District.. The guy also spoke about freedom before, she could see on his eyes that he had agreed with every one of her words and yet how could he be leading a life controlled like that? If she had gone from a process of being a happy and idiotic girl which was content with her life to being a Rebel had the guy gone through the same process but backwards?

(Hey goddess, I'm thinking about playing the district 5 princess. Do you want to be her new servant?)

Halo made it back on the roof without so much as a scratch. He had been lucky to only had run into that guy, who was he anyway?

"Hope you didn't miss me too much," Halo grinned walking over to Aaliya. He sat beside her and took out the pills. "You're going to have to swallow them dry, I couldn't find any water." He said holding out the white pills. "I also got some aloe vera, it'll help the cut heal faster."

Aaly just smiled at him sweetly, yep, she had lost it. It was as if being alone was something she didn't want to at that moment. She had been sick before while living at District 2, but had refused anyone's help, and that guy being so nice to her while she was feeling the most vulnerable made her feel gratitude deep inside her heart. She took the pills from his hand and swallowed them quickly, letting out a sigh "Thank you" She said in a soft voice.

"No problem," Halo said. He took her arm and started to take off the bandages. "This should numb the pain?" he asked rubbing the aloe on her wound.

"Hey do you know what this goes to?" Halo asked once he was finished re-wrapping the cut. He had taken out the key. Attached to it was a tag that read A119.

Aaly looked over at the key but she could barely focus on anything and make a real picture out of it was temporarily impossible, so she just decided to shake her head, not really sure if she really didn't knew it or she did. She closed her eyes after a moment, she was just worn out, knackered in fact and so she just gave in, finally falling asleep. Her entire left side of her body was already numb by now, so she couldn't feel the pain anymore, that was something she was actually pretty much grateful for. She would wake up early the next day, hopefully feeling much better than now, she had got a good immune system after all, rarely getting sick and when she did, getting better alarmingly quickly, she had often been told that, she wished for that to not be the exception.

Halo smiled when Aaliya finally fell asleep, she needed it. Halo yawned, he was pretty tired himself, but there would be no sleep for him tonight. He would have to stay up all night and be the lookout. Halo checked his cell, it was full of messages of peole asking where he was. Halo sighed, time for some damage control.

Aaly had some rough night, sometimes feeling she was too cold and sometimes too hot. She would hear faint whispers like sounds and wake up constantly through the night, however, falling asleep almost instantly. Her body was fighting with all it got the infection and that left her tired, weak and frail. At one point, she couldn't even make out a difference between reality and dream. She would have nightmares that would be just too vivid or just too blurry.

"No mommy, I didn't call you because I knew you were at work," Crisis said into her cell. It was seven AM and her mother had called a half hour ago sounding very upset. "I don't know why, we were just as surprised as you to hear that we got the pass." Crisis paused to listen to her mother. "We decided to go camping on the trail, I was going to tell you but... mom I'm coming back in two days... no I wont let this interfere with my studies... no it's just me an Halo... Mooommmmyyy I don't know why you're making a big deal out of this, we just wanted to see the trail on our day off."

Crisis sighed, she was listening to how upset her mother was that she didn't contact her before leaving when she noticed Aaliya tossing and turning in his sleep.

"Look mom, I have to go, Halo wants me to help him with breakfast... okay, I'll call you later." Crisis hung up and walked to Aaliy's side. Before leaving, Halo had given her the task of watching over the rebel. Crisis took the damp cloth off the girl's forehead and dipped it into some cool water which Halo had found. Returning it to her forehead, Crisis actually felt bad for Aaliya. She looked like she was in so much pain.

Occupation:Princess

District:5

Bio: Obsidian and her family genuinely care fore the people of District 5 and is beloved by all. She is rarely ever allowed to leave the palace and has been arranged to Prince Jonathan since she was eleven.
Obsidian sat on her bed and watched the new feeds on the success of the newly signed treaty. She hadn't been allowed in the room while during the meeting, and was happy that the feeds were keeping her up on what she had missed.

"Another district added to the order," she said proudly. Soon all the districts would sign and there would be no more lower districts. Everyone would be rich, and happy. Obsidian stood, she was still dressed in her nightgown and was waiting for the arrival of her dress. Today her new servant was being moved into the servant quarters. She was to be bringing Obsidian her dress once she was settled in. The princess smiled, she was excited to meet the girl.

TThe girl was carrying a purple box, shaped like arectangle. It had blue ribbons to seal the box so the item wouldn't fall out. She was some what happy about her new home, seening how she was bought only two hour ago. It was better then staying back at the shelter with the crazy old lady who always carried around a whip. SStooping at a mano with uge doors, she knocked several times waiting fo it to be opend.

The door swung open and in the frame stood Obsidian, all smiles and joy.

"Is that my dress?" she asked taking the box from the servant's hands. Obsidian placed the box on the be and started to untie the ribbon. "You can come in," Obsidian said to her. "What's you're name?"

(Yay! I'd like some more rebels, or you could be a noblemen from District 1 (But just so you know District 1 is the antaginist of the rp) Umm, you can be a friend of Crisis and Halo, or of Aaliy, or Jonathan... I'd love another boy but you can play as a girl if you want.)

(I'll jump in as a rebel!)

Name: Anna Smith

Looks:
Tattooed_Girl_by_Barbi_Munster.jpg

Occupation: Rebel

Bio: Anna's family used to be part of District 1. As she went through her teenage years, she slowly began to cover herself in tattoos - her very own sign of rebellion that she could hide under clothes. Once she was of age, and able to decide to leave, she left and moved to join the rebels. Her sense of justice outweighed her desire for comfort, and she joined the fight against her own class, and finally, uncovered her tattoos because she no longer had to hide her rebellion.

Aaly blinked when she felt the wet cloth on her forehead, closing them again for a moment when she felt the sunlight falling on her eyes. She didn't feel completely recovered but she felt much better now. She still felt the stinging feeling on her arm but she could cope with it, at least, it felt much less painful than the day before. She slowly opened her eyes again and was actually surprised to see Crisis by her side. So it was already morning... Aaly kinda wanted to stay still for a little more but she had something to do "What time is it?" She asked as she looked over at Crisis.

(Cool, jump in where you wish)

"It's seven," Crisis answered sending a message to Halo that Aaliya was awake. She was looking better and Crisis was relived. "How do you feel?" she asked. She sure looked better than Crisis. With matted hair, smudged makeup, and a tattered uniform, Crisis looked how she felt, like crap.

Anna wandered through District Two with the swagger of someone who knew what she wanted. Of course, she didn't really know what she wanted, except for a place to sleep for the night. Her apartment had been ransacked the night before, and her back up hideout was too risky to go near. She had taken to the streets in an attempt for find some more rebels who would, hopefully, give her some shelter and some coffee.

Her tactic to do this, was to walk into the various shops along the streets, hoping to find some sign of hope.

"Fine" She said as she stood up slowly, taking a deep breath and loving the mild breeze that she felt on her face. She raised her eyebrow at Crisis, she really did looked bad. Aaly didn't really know if it was because she had gone soft or because she felt gratitude towards her and Halo for taking care of her but she really decided that she wanted to help them to get back to their District, finally feeling pretty bad because them ending up being there was really her fault.

"Where is your boyfri... I mean, Halo? We have to get going right now to search for someone that can help us to get you back to District 5. However, we have to get you a change of clothes, you know.. Not to stand out" She walked back to the center of the roof and took the bag she had brought with her the last night. She took out a bread loaf and split it into two pieces "Want one?" She asked as she held out the piece to her.

Halo walked the streets of District 2 with his head down; around his body and covering his head was a cloak that he had taken from a fabric stand when the owner wasn't watching. He couldn't risk anyone recognizing him from the night before and starting trouble. Halo's cell buzzed and he checked it to see a new message from Crisis.

Aaliya's awake, looking better.

Halo smiled and sent a message back.

Okay, I'm on my way back.

He hit send and put the cell back under his cloak. He had gone out to look for some breakfast, but also to see if he could find out where that key led. That guy from the pharmacy had been on his mind all last night.

"He went out to look for some breakfast. He also muttered something about a key? Umm, I don't really know." Crisis's cell buzzed and she checked it.

"Oh, this is him now, he says he's coming back." Crisis dropped her cell back in her bag and was excited to see the bread. She had never been so happy to see food in her life, with her not eating for the whole day before and all.

"Yeah, I'm starving," she said walking over and taking the bread. Crisis bit into the bread and frowned, she almost spat it out. "It's stale," she complained.

Aaly raised her eyebrow as she took a bite of it, it really didn't taste so good and that surprised her "Strange.. I bought it on your District. Hope it's only this one. You can try another one if you want to" She said as she kept on eating her piece of bread. She walked over to the edge of the rooftop, looking down at the streets, they were crowded by now, she guessed she could go and talk to some 'important' people she knew and try to see if they could find a way to help her send them back. Unfortunately, she couldn't go and ask Tydus for help nor Trent, the first one didn't really want to risk his people to send two strangers home, even less on the weekend, and the last one.. Well the last one didn't really cared for them nor wanted to get involved.

"Should we wait for Halo to come back to get going then?" She asked as she looked back at her, tilting her head a little. She wondered if Crisis preferred to wait for him or if she preferred to start looking for someone to help them and talk with him via cellphone.. Though it was not really recomendable to take it out on the streets.

"No, it's fine I guess," Crisis sighed. She had been messaging Halo as Aaliya was talking to her. "Let's go, I'm tired of being up here, and the sun is killing me. Besides, we can meet up with Halo down on the street. He says he's looking for something anyway." Crisis pulled her bad over her head and onto her shoulder. "Do you have any idea of a way to get back to my district?" she asked.
