Of Brick and Stone (open)

"Encouraging us?" Shotgun echoed with a grin. "That's a first." He pushed himself off of the wall and watched as the others filed out of the room, chattering among themselves. Shotgun scanned the room for Nate. "By the way, why was Nate talking to Crisis?" he asked.

Lila walked up to Trent as the room started to empty. "Rebels from District 6?" she asked. "Are you sure they can be trusted? Their king did just join with our enemy."

Aaly huffed, her previous smile being replaced by a light frown "I don't know. When I turned around he was already talking to her. That girl surely ticks me off and I'm dying to know how the heck did she found out about the microchip. Either way that b*****d has still got my cell and I'm sure that if I try to retrieve it again he will punch me in the face" She rubbed her know swollen up spot on her cheekbone "Damn it, I really hate him. Might as well start a fight again" She unfolded her arms.

Trent smirked at Lila "They can. We've got our ways to know who to trust. Don't worry Lila, we've already discarded those who we couldn't. What worries me is that not all of them are skilled on teamwork and combat skills. You know I'd like your help on this one right?" He crossed his arms at her, a smile on his lips and his brow raised.

"I thought you'd never ask," Lila said. She then smiled. "It's good to see you back in leader mode. They really needed that pep talk. I just hope that everyone's ready to take on the world."

Shotgun grinned. "You know, I have an idea on how we can get you cell back and teach Nate a lesson at the same time. C'mon," Shotgun said leading Aaly to the armory.

Trent rubbed the back of his neck "I'm sure of it. I'm counting on you then" He gave her a smile before walking out of the room. He was going to take District 1 and that was for sure. This time... This time he was not going to be a softie as Tydus was, he was going to become their worst nightmare.

"Oh, I'm starting to see you under a different light" She said with a grin as she followed him. Actually, she just wanted her cell back but if she could get her own back on Nate as well that would be awesome.

Lila was the last to leave the room. She sighed. "I guess this is where the real story begins," she said. Which meant, she better be getting to work.

Once in the armory shotgun punched in the code to open the door. He scanned through the guns till he found the one he was looking for. Shotgun smiled and picked up an long gun that looked like it could be a sniper. But unlike the sniper, this gun fired little spikes that delivered a type of poison into it's victim. Numbing out whichever body part it hit and immobilizing it instantly. After about an hour, the effect would ware off. Shotgun aimed the gun and pretended to shoot. "Let's go find Nate."

"Ok?" Aaly raised her eyebrow at Shotgun before smiling. She didn't really know what did her have in mind but as long as she would be able to teach Nate a lesson or two, she would badly go along with it. She absently also wondered how would the other Rebels from District 6 be. Well she would find out sooner or later that day, she just hoped things would go okay.

Shotgun led Aaly up around the building in search of Nate. He finally spotted him from the balcony of the second floor. Shotgun grinned. "Bingo." The rebel aimed his gun and waited for Nate to separate himself from his group of friends. Shotgun closed his right eye and and tilted his head slightly to the left.

Bang.

A spike left the gun and hit it's mark, the spot right above Nate's left ankle. Shotgun laughed as the boy fell. "C'mon," He said to Aaly grabbing her arm and leading her off the balcony. "Let's go see how our pray is fairing."

Nate felt a numbing feeling spreading through his body out of the blue and let out a noiseless gasp as he fell to the ground. What the heck? He gritted his teeth when he realized he was actually not able to move at all.

“Remind me not to ever get you angry” She exclaimed as she grinned at him.

(Sorry for the late reply. Had been busy with university exams :/ )

Shotgun made his way to where Nate lay, unable to move. He crouched down beside him, his gun resting on his shoulder. "What's wrong Nate?" he asked with a smirk. "Can't seem to get up?"

(Oh that's okay. I just got done with finals so I know the feeling ^-^)

Nate's eyes darted from Aaly's face to Shotgun's, he wanted to curse at them, to harm them in any way but he just couldn't move. However, one could see his surprise and despise on his eyes. He let out a soft exasperated exhalation.

"Not feeling so powerful now, huh?" Aaly grinned as she intertwined her fingers before she kneeled down, retrieving her cell from his pocket "I believe this is mine"

(Yeah, it's truly exhausting v.v)

"Speechless," Shotgun noted. "Never thought I's see the day. But I'm sure we'll hear a mouth full when the poison wears off." Shotgun smirked as he patted Nate twine on the cheek. The look on the boys face was priceless. Shotgun stood. "Well, we got what we came for."

"See you later Nate" Aaly said with a smile as she dangled her cell from side to side before stuffing it in her pocket. Judging by his expression Aaly could tell for sure he would not let it slide so easily but hey, seeing that look on his face made it worth it. Then, as they fell silent for a moment a question came to Aaly's mind and she looked up at Shotgun "Hey, how do you think this new Rebels would be?" She had gone to many Districts since she got out from District 1, but now that she thought about it, she had rarely go to District 6

(Gah! Sorry again @.@ I finish semester this week and still trapped on finals T^T)

"Hmm," Shotgun thought about this as he led Aaly away from Nate. "I've head stories about District 6 but I've never been to that part of the world, so I'm not sure what's true and not. They're said to be ruthless, only looking out for themselves, so I'm not so sure how well these new rebels will fair on a team. And I heard that when their government resigned from the New World Order the whole place fell to hell. The people turned on the government, not sure why, and the whole district was pretty much run by small militia groups that fought for power. They also fought against the New Order as rebels. Well, that is until District 1 stepped in."

Shotgun stepped inside the base in search of the dining hall. He had skipped breakfast because of all the stress surrounding Trent and the execution. But now that everything had died down and he was feeling pretty good about their chances of defeating District 1, he had realized just how hungry he was. "I'm not sure what to make of the new rebels," Shotgun continued. "Can't say that I'm to trilled with newcomers stepping in, especially from a district that's now in bed with one. But if Trent thinks this is a good ides, I'm not going against it."

(No it's fine. Real life comes first heehee ^-^ )

Aaly sighed and looked to the floor as they walked " 'Let's hope for the best', is it?" She raked her hand through her hair absently. Without Tydus and all the ruckus going about District 1 and the execution Aaly felt as if they would have to start from scratch though she knew that really wasn't the case. She nibbled down on her bottom lip as she thought about things, she couldn't help thinking District 1 had something to do with the bombing after Trent himself suggested the possibility, then again, she do hated Jonathan, but she did think she used to know him better and so how could he be so cynical about everything? Was he really the kind of person who would bomb his own home with innocent people inside? Had he changed so much? He was part of the royal family he should have known about the plan.

She felt like an idiot as a twinge of disappointment made her pull a face, truth was that she had expected much more about him. Even though she was not sure about District 1 being involved in all of this, for her it kind of made sense, after all finding the 'culprits' have made King Julian a hero and that was something that was of benefit to them.

(I'm back!! Hurray finally finished semester!!!)

Shotgun's mind drifted to other thoughts. Though he wouldn't admit it out loud, he wasn't quite sure of Trent as a leader. Sure with both Tydus and Trent leading, things went by smoothly. Trent the bronze, Tydus the brains. But now with Trent's hot temper and no one to cool it down, he wondered how xii would fair. Shotgun grabbed a plate from the kitchen and started looking through the fridge and cabinets for something to eat. "You want something?" he asked Aaly turning to her, then he saw her face. "What's wrong?" he asked.

Obsidian stood under the the big shade tree of her front yard. From there she could see the two guards that watched the front gate of her palace at all times. Jonathan and Sebastian were talking to them, seeing if they could get the guards away from the gate long enough for Obsidian to slip out. Both her mom and dad left for the district meeting at FlyBird so this was the perfect time for her to go explore District 5 without having to be announced she rarely got to step outside her home without her parents so this was exciting.

The two boys started walking back towards the princess and Obsidian knew what had happened before they even said it.

"No luck," Jonathan said.

Obsidian sighed. "We should just wait till my parents come home."

"Or we can go over the back wall," Sebastian suggested.

Obsidian made a face. "that wall is fifteen feet high."

"Then lets get hover boards."

Obsidian and Jonathan exchanged a look but didn't say anything.

Sebastian raised his eyebrow. "You two do know how to ride a hover board... right?"

"Of course," Jonathan said at the same time Obsidian admitted, "No."

"Wow," Sebastian chuckled. "You two are hopeless."

"We have drivers," Jonathan defended. "Why would we need a hover board?"

Sebastian just shook his head. "Come on. I'll give you a quick lesson."

(Yayy \^o^/)

Aaly was napped back to reality by Shotgun's voice. She seemed rather confused at him, her eyes lowering to the plate on his hand. When had he picked it up? She frowned and rubbed her temple, she had lost trail of the situation again. She shook her head "Nothing. I'm just... Frustrated. I can't really believe Jonathan would have been able to place a bomb on his own home. What Trent said kept me thinking" She let out an exasperated exhalation "Stupid, huh?" Really, how much of an idiot could she be! After what that stupid prince had done to them how could she really believe in him.

(Shoot! Took long again sorry T^T Have been busy with some things. Becoming an adult sucks DX)

Shotgun stopped to think this through. He hadn't giving much thought to what Trent had said. It wouldn't make sense that the royals would destroy their own home, and risk having any casualties. On top of that, Shotgun liked the idea of another rebel group going against the government. But thinking about it now, it could make sense. The king and queen did look torn up about it. Heck, the prince looked torn up about it. But that could very well just be an act. The bombing did help District one come out as a savor, and the king did handle the situation very well, and quickly too.

"You know, I hadn't really giving much thought to District 1 being responsible for the bombing. But now that you mention it... I think that corrupt family, including its prince, is capable of anything. I just can't figure out why they would do it. Sure they get the glory of being the ones who brought the 'bad guys' to justice, but they're already the richest and most respected district. On top of that, in bombing killed off a few of their most powerful allies. The king and queen of District 9 is dead because of it, and now the kingdom is being ruled by a thirteen year old. What good did that do?" Shotgun went to work on making a sandwich. "Maybe I'm missing something." But what was it? "You use to be among the corrupt Aaly. Why would you plant a bomb in your own home?"

Jonathan and Sebastian sat on the bench of the gardens in the back yard of Obsidian's palace. There they waited for her to return with the hover boards they would be using to plan their escape from her home. Obsidian was taking her time retrieving the boards, not surprising, so the old friends decided to have a chat about politics. The debate was getting heated when the two boys saw the red headed princess coming towards them with three boards in hand. They stood, exchanging a look. In the eight years that Jonathan had known Obsidian, he had never, ever, seen her in anything but a dress. Not a skirt, not pants, a dress. He believed that that was the only thing she had in her wardrobe. But now here she came, in white cotton shorts and a red tee.

“What?” Obsidian asked noticing their looks.

“You own a pair of shorts?” Sebastian asked mirroring Jonathan’s thoughts.

“Of course,” Obsidian said like it should have been obvious.

“It’s just, you don’t wear shorts.” Jonathan said.

“Well I prefer not to wear them, but I cannot very well wear a dress on a hover board.” Obsidian said, then looked worried. “Why? Do you not like them?”

“No, it's not that. I'm just surprised,” Jonathan said quickly.

“Let’s just get started with the lesson before your parents come home,” Sebastian said taking the boards from Obsidian and laying them on the ground.

(Oh it's cool. Are you getting ready for college?)

Aaly pulled a face when he commented on her belonging to the corrupt once. She sighed, however, before tapping her chin with her index finger softly "Actually.. If I were District 1 king I would just do it for how it would make me look like worldwide. Come on, you've got have to accept it. People think of him as a hero while they think of us as a threat. I like the idea of thinking about the possible existence of another Rebel group as well. But.. It just keeps haunting me the possibility that it had all been planned beforehand by District 1 itself" She raked her hand through her hair "I don't know. Thinking about it makes me feel frustrated. How could they be so cynical?" An exasperated exhalation escaped her lips "I don't know anymore. Even if I used to be among the corrupt I can proudly say that my parents were not like that at least"

(Yeah.. And it's killing me! I'm going overseas to study and have to do a lot of things before I go x_x)

"Okay," Shotgun said. "Let's say that there isn't another rebel group. Lets say that Julian did plan all of this. None of it matters because we don't have proof. It's just our word against his, and no one is going to side with us. To the world we're just terrorist who destroyed the District 1 palace and murdered innocent people."

(Oh cool, I wish I could study abroad. What country are you going to?)

"I know" Aaly said with a long sigh "I'm aware of that. I told you, what bothers me about all of this, is not really what everyone thinks. It's inevitable, we can't change it. Instead, I think we will have to start making use of it somehow, to twist their words to our benefit. It's just that people do change quite a lot, huh? I was blind back there but..." Aaly looked aside, at every people who were over there, just to realize how little did she actually knew about some of them "... But I do believed that even though he was a District 1 prince, he was not like that" She looked puzzled and even more vexed. It seemed that seeing Jonathan after so long had stirred something within her. She had just stopped caring, she had convinced herself to hate him. But.. Heck he had been her friend! Her best friend! How could he allow such a thing going on in his own home? His fiancee that been there as well! Even for her, killing innocent people to achieve a goal was low.

(Mexico ^^ Will be starting all over again my career over there)

"You really still have faith in him?" Shotgun asked, a bit surprised. "He did leave us with our hands tied to die. I think he's capable of anything. And that includes bombing his own home. The kids a good actor though, I'll give him that..." If they could risk bombing their own home, what else would they do. Shotgun had a feeling he was about to find out.

It took the three much longer than expected to get off the palace grounds and onto the path towards Market. But with Jonathan and Obsidian flying at speeds around 5mph, it was to be expected. Sebastian looked over his shoulder at his two friends and laughed, shaking his head. He knew he should cut them some slack, hey did just learn how to fly fifteen minuets ago, but it was still amusing watching then struggle to keep their balance. Sebastian could fly circles around them (which he did).

"Wow, at this rate we'll make it to Market around sundown." he teased, showing off by flying backwards in front of them.

"Haha, you're so very funny," Jonathan said not amused.

Sebastian grinned. "I think I am too."

"I am having fun," Obsidian chimed in. "This is so exciting, I have never been out of the palace without my parent's permission before."

"Uh oh," Sebastian said. "I think we're a bad influence on the princess."

Jonathan finally let a smile grace his lips. "A little adventure is good for the soul."

"Well let just make sure this adventure gets me home before my parents." Obsidian said.

You could always count on market to be packed, even at 10am. The place was filled for a mile in every direction with shops and vendors trying to sell the latest trends. It was one of the hottest shopping spots around. But Jonathan guessed that that was a good thing. With everyone so focused on what they were buying, the three of them should go unnoticed. Which was good because three people walking together with hoods pulled low on their faces looked pretty suspicious.

"Wow," Obsidian exclaimed. "So many shops! Where should we start?"

"Where ever you want," Jonathan said.

Obsidian turned on her heels and headed straight for a shop that had dresses hanging in the window.

(That's cool, I've never been out of the us :( (( Are you going to be going there alone? That's scary.)

"Well that was because he felt betrayed, I do not believe him to be that kind of guy. He could had even kill us" She said with a frown. However, she blinked. She had defended him on reflex. She nibbled down on her bottom lip before shaking her head "Maybe you're right. No.. You surely are" She made a face before sighing "I'm gonna grab a bottle of water"

(I guess, I'll miss my home country tho :/ Oh no. My parents live over there, I'm leaving my country because my dad got transferred)

Shotgun raised an eyebrow. She did not just defend the guy who had his servants beat the crap out of them. Was she having a change of heart? No, of course not. How stupid was he for even thinking that? But they did use to be friends, close friends. So maybe... a ping of jealousy shot though him. Shotgun couldn't believe this, how could he jealous of that spoiled brat? Shotgun pushed the thought from his mind, this was becoming stupid. He opened his mouth, about to say something, but then closed it again. Instead Shotgun decided to change the subject. "I wonder what Trent is thinking. It would be nice to know what his next move will be."

Alabaster was beginning to wonder if getting Halo to pick up the micro-chips for him was such a good idea. He had been with those rebels in District 2 so Alabaster just assumed that they knew each other. But now a full day and a half had passed and no word on the chips. Sure, there was still a day and a half left of the time that he had given Halo, but Alabaster had never been a patient person. Sadly, he hadn't gotten the boy's number so he had no way of contacting him to see how he was coming along. He could have paid him another visit but Alabaster just didn't feel like it. Maybe he should have just gotten the chips himself, but that could be too risky. Sure it had been eight years since he left home, and he did look different, but he couldn't risk being recognized. Alabaster sighed. He would just have to wait. Alabaster moved to the bed. He was staying in a cheep hotel on the poorer side of District 5. Not of the most fanciest places he stayed, but he liked to keep a low profile whenever he came back home. Alabaster laid on his bed, picking up the tablet and opening up the chat he was having with a friend of his. Apparently she had new information on Districts 1, 6, and 9. Alabaster flipped to the end of the chat reading over what he had read a dozen times. According to her findings District 6 had come into the New World order one week after District 9 had announced that it wanted to resign from the Order, of course none of this wasn't public information. Alabaster narrowed his eyes. Funny how both the king and queen of District 9 died in the bombing. Alabaster deleted the chat and fell backwards on his bed. Things were starting to come into view.

Lux was back in District 1. With every member of his family away he felt he could do as he pleased. Not that he didn't do that anyway, but having them out of the picture made it easier. The crown prince was sitting at the desk of his room But his attention wasn't on he computer in front of him. It was on District 2. I was time for the rebels to disappear. But matters like this had to be done delicately. He wanted to avoid a war, but he was starting to think that a war was what it was coming down to. On the other hand, he could just bomb the whole place clear off the map. That would be the easiest rout. And it would send a message to anyone who planned to oppose him in the future. Lux's thoughts shifted away from the Rebel District. And onto his parents. A smile slipped onto his lips. It was about time for them to step out of the picture.

(You can always visit. And it might be exciting seeing a new country, and how other people live ^-^ And at least you're not alone :) )

Aaly felt strangely relieved by the change of subject and after she took a sip of her bottle of water, she tilted her head to the side a little "The only thing we know is the thing with the District 6 rebels" She brushed her fingertips against the bottle before a small smile bloomed on her face "Want to try and ask Relena about it? Maybe we can get her to talk" She looked at Shotgun with a slightly playful glimmer on her eyes. Trent had told them he had discussed things over with her and with Derrick. Now Derrick was fine, but Aaly had much more confidence on getting information from her friend than from him.

(I suppose you're right on that one. Ok! I'll try my very best then! *^* And BTW Lux is really evil! O.o )

Shotgun nodded, finishing up his food. He swallowed hard before he spoke, "Good idea, if we're going to get information out of anyone, it's her. You know where she is?"

The man who sat in the highest point of the clock tower had done this many times, but still he felt a buzzing feeling in the pit of his stomach. He wasn't nervous about failing, the man was skilled and had been doing this for years. He never failed a mission. No, the thing that made him nervous was who he was killing. The Julian and Lucinda, the king and queen of District 1. When he had first got the call and the female voice told him who needed to be 'taken care of' the man just assumed it was a rebel and that she couldn't afford his fee. But the next day fifteen million dollars was transferred into his account form an anonymous source. There was a message left for him stating that the other half would be transferred when the job was done. The man shook his head. He didn't know who he was dealing with, but as long as he got his money, he didn't care. The man opened his laptop and started running a proxy network. He had very clear instructions to make this look like an accident. The man checked the time. His eyes locked onto the FlyBird building, he had a perfect view from here. Soon his job would be complete.

(I know, isn't he great <333 lolz)
