Of Brick and Stone (open)

Shotgun heard his name being yelled and whipped around. He frantically searched through the crowd and then found what he was looking for. "Aaliya," he sighed relived. And then louder "Aaliya!" He pushed through the crowd and when he had to force himself to not hug her right then and there. She was in pretty bad shape and he instantly grabbed her hand. "Wow Aaly, what have you gotten yourself in this time?"You look awful," He tried to make his face look calm but the fear was clear in his eyes.

"Are you riding with her?" the EMT asked lifting Aaly into the back of the ambulance.

"yes, I am." Shotgun said quickly never letting go of her hand. He turned to Aaly. "You're going to be fine. Just fine..." He kept repeating those words more telling it to himself then to her.

Aaly smiled weakly at his supposed to be joke. When she was placed into the back of an ambulance she couldn't be more grateful to him for being by her side. Having him there with her made her feel painfully relieved. She then felt her eye lids dropping as if her body was telling her 'It's alright. You can give in now' But she tried to fight it for a moment longer to say something.

"Thanos... Dead. Tydus and Trent?" She mumbled to him, though she somewhat knew that may not be of any sense to him. However, as soon as the last word came out she let herself go and everything went dark.

***One week later***

"The attack on District 1 has shocked the whole world. But there is some light on who could have committed this god forsaking crime, King Julian has reported that he some suspects and will be releasing their names and faces soon. As we suspected, they we're apart of the rebel group xiii and they are expected to be punished to the full extent of the law. Because of these soulless creatures 27 are dead and even more were injured. Districts have lost the rulers due to the bombing that took place during District 1's ball including both King Vergil and Queen Isis of District 9 and their unborn child. Queen Ada of District 6 lost her life only one day ago. And the president of FlyBird Samuel Damon. Our hearts go out to all of you. And to the rest of the members of xii who got away with this crime we say, 'you are not safe, and we will find you'..."

Crisis sat quietly in her room and watched the reporter on the new feed. She couldn't believe that the bombing happened a week ago, it felt like yesterday. She hadn't spoken much since then and her parents were keeping a close eye on her ever since she got home from the hospital four days ago days ago. She was rushed into surgery the second she arrived in at the ER and woke up two days later. Halo had filled her in on everything that had happened since the bombing and her parents visited her when they weren't at FlyBird. Crisis fell backwards onto her bed, she should had told someone the second she spotted Aaly, maybe then this could had been prevented.

"Crisis hurry up, you're not missing another day of school." Alice called from downstairs.

"I know mom," Crisis called back. She sat up and turned off the feeds.

Crisis stood up and went to her vanity. Her scars were healing up nicely. They were barely visible now and in a few more days they would be gone. Crisis shifted her eyes to her open window which was letting in warm breeze. It was good to be back home but she hated that her first time to the City in the Sky ended like that.

"An act of xiii huh?" she said to herself. Crisis wondered if Aaly and Shotgun were apart of the suspects. Good if they were! They hurt a lot of people a week ago and they deserved whatever they got.

"Crisis!"

"I know!" Crisis checked herself in the mirror one last time before heading out the door.

Jonathan turned off the news feed. The bombing was all anyone was talking about, and to tell the truth he was getting sick of it. Countless times reporters had requested to speak with him about his feelings on the bombing and countless times he had said no comment. His family had moved to their summer home while the palace was being rebuilt, and he hadn't been allowed outside since. District 1 went straight to lock down after the bombing, nobody in or out without being checked, and that meant that he hadn't seen Obsidian since he left her at the hospital when she awoke from surgery. They had been keeping in touch since then, Obsidian wasn't allowed out either, and she said that she was doing fine. Her leg healed up well, thanks to Aaliya's quick thinking. Where was Aaliya anyway? He knew that her godfather had died in the grand hall but he had no idea what had become of her. Jonathan had sent word for her but nothing came back. Jonathan closed his eyes, the indoors were getting to him, he wanted to leave. Jonathan opened his eyes again. Even more he wanted to know who his father had in their prison. This parents were being very hush hush about it all and every time Jonathan asked about information on the bombing he was shot down. The prince was getting annoyed, this always happened. Why was he always the last to know what went on in his own district?

Halo stepped out of the shower. He was suppose to meet Crisis to walk to the train station together so he needed to hurry up. This was her first day back at school since the bombing and if he wasn't there with her then she would be upset, as she had told him over a dozen times. He still was surprised that she was going back so soon. He would had liked her to stay home longer but her parents insisted on her going back, she had already missed a whole week. Halo dropped his towel and started getting dressed in his work uniform. He had gone back to work three days after the bombing and everyone wanted to know what it was like being in the middle of that, frankly Halo was getting fed up with all the questions. Halo tied the arms of his jumpsuit loosely around his waist and slipped on his shoes, all while lost in thought. He wondered if Aaly and Shotgun were part of the rebels who were caught. Even more he wondered if what Shotgun said was true. He did look just as shocked as him when the bomb went off. But then if they didn't set off the bombs, who did?

Halo was still in his own mind that he almost didn't notice the man sitting on his couch as he was walking to the door. Halo stopped head. What the hell? Slowly, he turned around getting ready for a fight. Then stopped when he saw who it was."You."

"Me," the man said. "And if I recall, you still owe me a favor."

Obsidian sat at her kitchen table with her mother and father eating breakfast. But she wasn't eating. She was still upset that her parents weren't letting her leave the house. Yes, she wasn't allowed out unannounced, but now she couldn't even go out into the front yard or back garden. And what was worse, District 1 was still on lock down so she couldn't see Jonathan.

"Dearest," Queen Penelope said with a frown. "You haven't touched you food."

"I am not hungry," Obsidian said looking down. Her leg had healed up nicely. She would have to remember to thank Aaliya nest time she saw her, if she ever saw her.

"You haven't been hungry for the past few days," King Kannin said matching his wife's tone.

"Well maybe if I was not stuck in here all day I would have worked up an appetite," Obsidian said firmly looking from her mother to her father.

Penelope sighed. "We have been over this sweetheart--"

"I know, I know. It may be too dangerous." Obsidian huffed. "May I be excused?

Penelope opened her mouthed but was stopped by her husband. "Of course dearest."

Obsidian pulled back her chair and walked out of the kitchen, but not before hearing her parents fall into hushed whisperer. They had been doing that a lot lately and every time Obsidian asked them if something was wrong she would get dismissed. They were treating her like a child and she hated that. She was Nineteen and she deserved to know what was happening around her kingdom! Obsidian got to her room and shut the door behind her. Flopping on the bed she turned on the feeds where, surprise surprise, there was another report on the bombing. She wished it would all just go away. Obsidian did however sit up when the man said that they had found suspects on the bombing. Finally, now maybe everyone would start to feel safe again.

Click, clack, click, clack.

The sound of heels coming closer and closer echoed off the walls of the small white room. In the room sat King Julian's prisoners who had been strapped to the four chairs that lined the wall. Around their neck and wrist were cuffs that bound them to the chairs. In the center of the room was one table and one chair. The door to the white room slid open and in stepped the new president of FlyBird Noelle Damon. She looked at each of the prisoners one by one and smiled. Three of them were found trying to smuggle supplies out of District 1, thanks to her mole she was able to catch them, but the other one, now he was a prize. Noelle pulled the chair out from the table and sat. She placed her tablet on the table and started tapping keys on it. Finally, she looked up.

"Tydus," she cooed. "It been a while. Are you enjoying your stay here?"

Aaly turned off the news feed with an angry and worried look on her face. She let herself fall back on the silk bedspread with a frustrated sigh. After the bombing, District 1 had gone straight to lock down and they hadn’t been able to get out of there yet. She had been released from the hospital a few days ago; more like she had practically threatened with escaping from there if they didn’t discharge her. However, even now nor Shotgun or her had considered it wise to leave District 1 in such a rush but staying there much longer vexed her. She rolled on her bed a little, her face facing the pillow as she stopped.

Funny enough, they were staying at her old mansion at District 1. Because of her father security mechanism, it may seem ironic, but it was the safest place for them at the moment.

“Shotgun… Who do you think they caught?”

Her voice may have sounded neutral but she was concerned. They would surely be executed… Wasn’t there anything they could do? They were still at District 1 after all…

Tydus looked up at her, a serene and composed look on his face. His light-colored eyes didn’t reveal even a tiny hint of fear and the truth was he actually didn’t feel a bit of it. He did pity the other Rebels that were with him though, so young... It was a shame they would die so soon. He let out a sigh.

“Indeed it has, Miss Damon” He smiled as he leaned his ginger haired head back lightly “Would actually expect more about District 1 but it’s comfy enough”

(One question! Did xiii had anything to do with the bombing?)

Shotgun lay on the bed bedside Aaly, facing upwards. he had been keeping up with all the feeds and none of it looked good for xiii. but why should he be surprises by this? Of course they would blame them for this, they were rebels for crying out loud! But what really ticked shotgun off was that they had nothing to do with it... at least he didn't think so.

"It could be anyone," Shotgun closed his eyes. "So far the only rebels we know to still be alive and not in capture is us. But that may not be for long, I mean two people still know about our true identities. They could tell anyone about us at any moment and we'd be thrown in jail with the rest of them. I just wonder why they haven't... Good thing you're rich here though. At least we get to hide out in luxury." Shotgun grinned.

Noelle looked around the room. "I guess it is a bit small, but you wont be staying here for much longer. Have you been keeping up with the feeds?" she asked, then shook her head. "Dumb question, of course you haven't. Let me take the time to fill you in. You, all of you," she said looking from rebel to rebel. "Have been blamed with the crime of bombing of the District 1 place and killing 27 people. And of course, that means that each of you have to be executed. Because what type of government would this be if we let soulless creatures like you get away with a Heinous crime like that? You four may be able to save yourselves if you give up some information that can lead to the destruction of xiii. But I'm assuming you aren't going to give up any information?"

(Nope)

Aaly frowned a little and looked to her side, at him. She then pushed herself up with her arms lightly and took the pillow, hitting him right on the side of his head with it. She then crossed her legs and sighed, shaking her head

"I'm not rich here. I used to be. Besides, I don't like it... I really want to go back now" She complained softly and leaned her chin on the palm of her hand as her elbow laid on top of her thigh.

"I saw Trent at the ball. At most I think he's safe. Tydus.. I don't know, I think he must be with Trent. The only ones left are the others? The ones who were supposed to do the supplies thing part" She rubbed her chin lightly with her thumb.

"Say... Do you think we must do something about it?" She suggested, bitting her lower lip softly.

"Screw you, B**ch" One of the Rebels suddenly spat.

"Shh" Tydus exclaimed, his expression still as collected as ever "Now Kira, there's no need to get all worked up" He moved his head a little, though he was tied by the neck he tried to get into a more comfortable position. He then looked at her for a moment before speaking again "Miss Damon, why are you asking me a question you already know the answer of?" He asked with an almost smile. He didn't say anything about the bombing though.. simply because it was useless, would they even believe them? Of course not.

(Oh, 'kay ^^)

Shotgun laughed when Aaly hit him with the pillow. "I was just kidding." He paused to think at her question. "No one has contacted us, I don't know if that's because they're captured or because they don't know where we are. We should do something about it... but what can we do?" there was another pause. "Give me you're honest option Aaly, do you think Trent and Tydus could have done this without telling us?" he asked. "I know that this isn't Tydus's style, but Trent..."

"Such a mouth on such a young girl," Noelle said tapping her tablet. "We're going to have to fix that," she tapped her tablet again and a shock ran through Kira's cuffs into the girl.

"Kira!" another rebel yelled. "Stop it!"

Noelle giggled. She tapped her tablet once more and the shock stopped. "Just reminding you who has all the power here." Then to Tydus. "Because I wanted to see if I could turn one of you. I have done it before you know. But knowing you, I bet you already suspected that you had a traitor in your group. Just a little too late, hmm?"

Aaly shook her head without hesitating "I don't think so. Which leads me to think.. Who the hell did it?" She frowned and laid down again beside him, this time facing the ceiling. She didn't doubt Tydus and she knew he wouldn't do something so dangerous with them still inside. She would be biased to believe Trent would be capable of such a thing even if that led him to feel guilty afterwards if they didn't make it, but his face at the ball that day... Somehow it convinced her he was as confused and perplexed as her by the situation.

Kira was left panting but would have still cursed again if it was not for Tydus meaningful look when she opened her mouth to swear.

Tydus shrugged "I always try not to distrust my comrades" Was the only thing he answered.

The man stood from the couch and walked towards Halo. "Nice place you got here," he said looking around. "Not too shabby for a street kid from District 8."

"You seem to know a lot about me," Halo said calmly.

The man nodded. "I like to know everything about the people I do business with."

"Do business with? Look, I thankful for the hoverbikes, but I never asked for your help."

"Ah, but you were sure quick to accept it when your life was in danger."

Halo let out a small laugh. This guy was pissing him off. "If you knew the raid was going to happen, why didn't you do anything to stop it?"

"Because," the man said simply. "It wouldn't have made a difference. And besides, I needed a favor."

"You could have just asked," Halo said.

"I could have, but then I would be the one owing you a favor. You see how this works?"

"Why me?" Halo asked.

"Why not you?" The man looked Halo over as if to size him up then stuck out his hand. "Alabaster."

Halo made no attempt to shake his hand. "Halo, but I'm sure you already knew that."

Alabaster smiled and dropped his hand. "Let's stop waiting time and get down to business shall we? During the bombing there were some microchips exchanged between rebels. I want just one of them, the one with the information on FlyBird. And you're going to get it for me."

"Why don't you just get it yourself?"

"Too risky. You have a direct link with those rebels. You have a better chance of getting it."

"And if I refuse?" Halo asked.

Alabaster's smile was confident. "You wont."

Halo frowned. Alabaster was right. He wanted to do this, but not because he felt he owed the man a favor, but because he wanted to know why he needed that information so badly."

"I should be taking my leave now," Alabaster said. "You have places to be"

Wait," Halo said suddenly, stopping him. "It's clear that you have planed this for a good time. So tell me, did you know about the bombing?"

An emotion flashed on Alabaster's face but was gone so quickly that Halo couldn't read what it was. "Now that is something that If I knew was happening, I would have done everything in my power to stop."

"Did the rebels have anything to do with it?"

"You've been watching the feeds, what do you think?"

"I'm asking you."

Alabaster paused. "It seems like something they would do... but I have my doubts."

With that the strange man turned and headed towards Halo's open window. Which Halo guessed was how he got into his seventh story apartment. Alabaster jumped out and handed on his hoverboard.

"I have a door," Halo called to him.

Alabaster nodded. "I see. three days from now, at the clock tower, ten o' clock. That's when I want my microchip."

"Then that means there's someone else. Someone so mad at District one that they would do anything to hurt them. Even if it meant hurting innocent people. Another rebel group maybe?" Shotgun sighed. "I hate not knowing what's going on. I hate that we have no idea where anybody is of how we can help them. And I hate sitting here and not going anything." Shotgun sat up in bed. "We need to do something Aaly. We can't keep hiding out her like scared children."

"Shame," Noelle said. "You may have foreseen this. The even bigger shame is that you don't want to switch sides Tydus. I could have used you hun, such skill gone to waist. But hey, since you'll be dead within the day I'd like to give you King Julian's thanks. So, thank you." she looked out over all the rebels. "Thank all of you."

Aaly stared at the ceiling for a moment before pushing herself up to a sitting position again and nodded "I know. Unfortunately, it seems it would only be the both of us as, we have confirmed, we cannot get in touch with the Rebel base" She jumped out of bed and crossed her arms right above her chest, walking slowly and in circles "Do you have anything in mind?"

The other rebels remained silent as they stared at her. They were soon to face death but on some rebels' face there was only hatred and on others just pure... resignation, none of them were afraid. Tydus just shrugged lightly at Noelle's words, not willing to say anything about it. He knew he would have to die sooner or later and that was a fate he accepted and to one point even embraced. This was his fight and he had died in the process but he had done something, the rest would be left on the future generation hands.

He did regretted the fact that he would leave Relena all alone though. She may have grown into a fine young woman which he would always be proud of but leaving her behind would always pain him and on his eyes she was still his little baby daughter. He would imagine her suffering when the execution would go public and he was sad about that. There were still those days he would imagine a world without all that nonsense and him and his family living out a normal and free life, a dream he had always been willing to give up his life to, a dream that would have to go on without him. He would miss Trent, his friend and his brother as well... But now everything would be on his hands and Tydus could just hope that his better judgement would not be clouded by his vengeance.

"You're late," Crisis huffed hopping off the stoop which led to her apartment.

"Being on time is overrated," Halo said stopping in in front of her. "The weirdest thing happened to me when I was getting ready."

"Walk and talk," Crisis said pointing to the clock tower. "We're going to miss the train."

Crisis and Halo fell into step and started heading down the street.

"Are you sure you should be going back to school?" Halo asked.

"Yeah. It's been a week already and I can't stay home forever."

"That sounds like something your dad would say."

Crisis smiled and rolled her eyes. "That is what my dad said. But I agree, I have to go back sooner or later, so why not sooner? What happened when you were getting ready?"

"Oh right," Halo said almost forgetting. "Remember that guy who left us the bikes that day we had to escape from the raid?"

Crisis nodded. "Yeah, he could have just gave us a heads up. Would have helped us out a ton more."

"Yeah, well he showed up at my house today."

Crisis made a face. "He just showed up? Why'd you let him in?"

"No. He showed up in my house. Literally in my house."

Crisis stopped. "What the hell? How does he know where you live?"

Halo stopped too. "he said he knows everything about the people he does business with."

"What does that mean?"

"No idea. I do know that he wants me to get a microchip from xiii."

Crisis thought this over. "Why?"

Halo motioned with his head that they should keep walking and the two fall into step again.

"Here, I'll tell you everything he told me."

Shotgun thought carefully. A plan, they needed a plan. "I just wish there was a way to get in touch with Tydus or Trent. Or anyone for that matter." Shotgun ran a hand through his light brown hair. "Okay, I have something but you might not like it. As Aaliya up here you have a lot of connections. Why not use them to find out where the execution is going to happen and where the prisoners are. You use to be friends with the prince right? Ask him to hang out, see what information you can get out of him. He has to know something right?

Noelle smiled. "No talking huh? Well then I guess it's time for me to take my leave." She stood. "But because I'm in a good mood and you'll all be dead soon, I'll let you in on a little secret. I know you and your little group had nothing to do with the bombing. But that doesn't matter. Because of the bombing The whole world is in panic. They don't know what's happening, they keep asking themselves, 'will my district be next'? And most importantly, they all hate whoever planted the bombs. They hate you. Now more then ever the world needs a leader, a hero if you will. Someone to protect them from the big, bad, scary, xiii. And that's just what District 1 will be, a beacon of hope. How? By putting a fact to the rebels. Someone the world can hate. And that's where you four come in. you will be executed, one by one. And once the world sees that we will protect them from this evil. They will fall to our knees." The woman sighed dreamily. "Beautiful isn't it?"

Aaly made a face at his suggestion and stopped walking, staying still for a moment with a stiffened posture

"The Prince?" She turned her gaze to him, a deep frown on her face "Is that really the only possibility you can think of?"

She had to admit she had thought that as well. However, she had tried to discard it, she couldn't see herself acting yet again. She rubbed the back of her neck as she let out a sigh.

"You w***e! I hope you die!" Kira writhed on her chair as she somehow tried to break free and scratch that woman's pretty face with just her nails "Beautiful my a**! You will be the next! I swear to you!" She moved her legs violently as she twisted her wrists, trying to release them.

"Kira, stop it! That's just what she wants. We will see who will have the last laugh" A Rebel guy who was beside her exclaimed.

Another Rebel girl let out a mocking laugh.

"Those who believe themselves to be giants are always the ones who receive the biggest fall" She leaned her blonde long hair to the back, a relaxed look on her face.

Tyuds looked at his comrades and smiled sadly. If only they didn't have to die... He then turned his gaze to Noelle again.

"Things are not always meant to be taken for granted" Was the only thing he said. They had accepted the price that came with their decision. They had accepted to be feared and loathed. All of that they had welcomed if it meant they would be free. He knew more people would come to hate them if they were to be accused of such a crime but he also knew there were other benefits but on this one he would keep his mouth shut... District 1 was not invincible and even if they were to take the credit for that, they had proved it to the entire world.

"Hey if you have a better idea I'm all ears," Shotgun said. "but right now that 's the best I got. The only thing we have here is your reputation." Shotgun stopped to watch Aaly's face. "but if you're really not okay with it. I'll think up something else. Maybe there's something I'm missing."

Noelle goggled. "Oh Tydus, I'm going to miss our little chats. It was nice meeting all of you." she turned on her heels. "Enjoy you're last day huns." she called over her shoulder as the room door opened. She walked out and the door closed and locked.

"Wow," Crisis said.

"Yeah," Said Halo.

The two friends were at the train stop waiting for the next train to arrive.

"So what are you going to do?" Crisis asked.

Halo shrugged. "I think I'm going to get the microchip."

"Why?"

"I want to know what on it. What does he need to know about FlyBrid so badly?" Halo wondered out lout.

Crisis sighed. "How do you suppose you're going to get that chip? We have no idea where any rebel is."

"I don't know yet," Halo said. "I'll figure it out."

"Well it's a good thing we have three days."

"We?" Halo asked.

Crisis smiled. "Yeah, we. You didn't think I'd let you do this alone."

"I though you were done with my 'little adventures'," Halo mocked.

Crisis laughed. "Yeah well maybe I was lying."

"I don't" Aaly admitted. Each second they missed the worst it would be at the end. She sighed again and finally nodded. "Fine, I'll meet with him. But how do you suggest I contact him?"

When Noelle left Kira let out a frustrated yell "I hate her! I just hope Trent will kill her at the end!" She dropped her head back, fury evident on her eyes.

"Don't hope for that, Kira. Trent has already got plenty of deaths to deal with at the end" Tydus said softly. Now just wait. He closed his eyes as he looked up at the white ceiling. "Just wait.." He mumbled before falling silent.

"I would say just call him, but you lack a cell," Shotgun got off the bed and put on his jacket. "We're just going to have to use one of the street phones. Do you know the number his cell? Or at least the number to the palace?" Shotgun asked.

Noelle got into the unmarked hovercar that was waiting for her outside the prison. A District one guard opened the door for her and she slid in. She smiled at the man sitting across from her, he did not smile back.

"Okay, you got ever thing you wanted. Now give me what you promised. You said my family would have a safe place here in District 1 and we would be rich."

Noelle nodded. "I did say all of that. And your information was very helpful to me getting what I wanted."

"Then give me my money," the rebel -well ex-rebel now- said.

"Do you know how I feel about loose ends Mr. Kane?" Noelle asked.

"I know, you hate them," the ex-rebel said. "That's why I got rid of all of them."

Noelle shook her head. "No, not all of them." The new president of Flybird lifted her hand gun. "There's just one more."

"No! You promised! You--"

He didn't have time to finish his sentence before Noelle pulled the trigger.

Bang.

Noelle got out of the car as if nothing had just accord. "Clean this up," she said to the guard.

The guard nodded once and she walked to her own hovercar.

Aaly bit her lower lip before glancing out to the outside from the balcony of her room. She still liked it, it was still her very favorite spot on her house. She tried to scan her memory and recall it. How funny it was that before she knew it by heart and now it was extremely difficult for her to remember it. She unconsciously rubbed her chin softly with her thumb, a habit of hers she had got from her father, which those who know her knew that it meant she was thinking.

"Well... I think I do remember the one from the palace... But they're not living there anymore because it burnt down, right? Would it still be the same?" She raised her eyebrow as she looked back at him.

"Crap," Shotgun said faceplaming. "How could I forget a detail that big? This is why I'm a gunner and not a strategist. How do we contact a prince when we don't know his number...?" Shotgun snapped his fingers. "We walk up to his door step. No," Shotgun pointed to Aaly. "You walk up to his door step. Do you know where they're staying since the bombing?"

"That was on the feeds right? Something like their summer home or something like that?" She rubbed the back of her neck as she let herself fall back on the wall just beside her balcony, her back making a small thump like sound before it leaned against it. "If I'm not wrong I think I had been there a couple of times. It's just confusing" She admitted with a sigh.

She rubbed her temple for a second "You should come with me, you know?"

"I don't think that would be a good idea. I'm suppose to be a servant remember? It's be strange me hanging around you. Besides, I've seen they way His Highness treats his servants, he just begging to get punched." Shotgun smiled at the thought. "But I'll be close at all times. You know, we should really take this time to pick up some cells," Shotgun suggested.

"Well you can always say you're my servant. I sponsored you, remember? Besides, I'm not that bad of a mistress when you get to know me" She added with a grin which soon withered "Though... Maybe you're right. I don't know. It gets on my nerves to go there alone but if they happen to catch me maybe it's better to be on my own after all, then you would at least be able to get away" She then nodded at his suggestion "Yeah, you're right. It will at least help us to keep in touch"

"Ah man Aaly why'd you go and say that? Now I have to go. But I warn you. If I punch the prince in the face, that's on you." Shotgun turned on his heels. "Lead the way Young Mistress," Shotgun said in what he assumed was a servant's accent. "I have no idea how to get a cell in this district."

Aaly blinked and chuckled at Shotgun's pretended way of speaking, smiling gratefully at him "I would be thankful if you actually gave him one punch or two" She joked as she walked to her room's door "First, we need money. Come on, my loyal servant" She smiled as she turned her face back at him before stepping out of the room and walking down the second floor's hall.

Shotgun laughed at the 'loyal servant comment. "And how are we going to get this money?" he asked following her down the hall.

Aaly reached some big wooden gates at the end of the hall and stopped in front of it. She caressed the wood softly and right before her a screen appeared, scanning her eye. The screen vanished as there was a faint sound coming from within the wooden gates before they opened to the inside, welcoming them.

"We have it already" She said with a soft nostalgic smile as she stepped into her father's study.

It was big and well... impressive. The walls were exquisitely decorated by her mother. Tall and long shelves circled the room as they held as much books as one could ever imagine. At the end of the room, at the left, there was another wooden door much more smaller that the ones that led to that place. Right on the middle there was big desk which had behind it a pretty red leather couch, those two were impeccable. The same applied to to the other two leather couches that were on some parts of the study.

Two huge windows as big as the gates raised right behind the desk and couch. Those led to yet another marvelous sight of District 1. Aaly stopped to look at that place that had been like a sanctuary for her and her father before taking a deep breath and walking to the desk, placing herself in front of it right on the place the couch was.

She tapped the center of it three times and another screen materialized in front of her. She started to write some things on it as she tapped on certain icons that appeared as she did so. Soon, another little screen came out from the bigger one and placed itself in front of her eye, scanning it yet again before it retreated back to the screen.

"Papa is happy to have you visiting me, Blythe" Was heard all over the room before the screen vanished and the desk started to seemingly open. Aaly's eyes flashed with an uncertain emotion as she heard her dad's voice again, he really did worried a lot to let her feel lonely if he was not there.

From the center of the desk there was a circle like thing left on top of it. It was like a contact lens... No, more like it was really a contact lens. She picked it up and softly she put it on her right eye, blinking a couple of times after she did so. Only rich Districts had this kind of tech and way of paying, once again Aashan's invention, it had even been one of her Dad's first inventions. Really her Dad made such strange things. She turned to Shotgun and smiled as she shrugged.

"Dot codes. Dad invented this way of paying so that it would be more... practical and easy to carry huge amounts of money. It only accepts those of one family to use it though, you cannot lend it to others that do not carry your surname, that's also the main reason it mixes with the PIC of the person. If I'm not wrong I think that in the past things like that existed but like in cards... They were called credit cards or something like that"

Shotgun looked around the study. It was impressive. For the first time ever Shotgun realized how hard it must have been for Aaly to give all of this up. And how angry she must have been to do so. Shotgun watched as Aaly worked. He smiled, he loved watching her. The thought of telling her how he really felt flashed through his mind but he shook it away. This wasn't the time nor place. Besides, he didn't have the guts.

When The mans voice sounded through the room, Shotgun looked around and then back at Aaly in time to catch her face change. Again he wondered what she mush had felt when she lost everything.

"Cool," Shotgun said coming back to reality. "Now we have cash and a plan. I say we're doing pretty good without our fearless leaders."
