Fandom Odyssey of Power

It would take a higher power to pierce a planet's core but not to damage it? What I was thinking was how Vegeta was threatening to destroy Earth with his Galick Gun, but he most likely wouldn't be strong enough to pierce the core or outright destroy it, so he most likely meant push it out of its orbit far enough to gradually turn it into a simple space rock, which would, in most cases, destroy it.

The problem with moving the planet is that the planet has mass which must be taken into account. The power required to move a planet off its axis or out of its proper orbit, be it with your body or energy, will be significant thanks to the laws of physics. Just piercing the external crust and such of the planet doesn't require as much raw force so long as the blast is concentrated into a fine point.

Do you guys like Era's shiny new Post top?

”There is a stigma that men are more powerful than women, but I beg to differ. I’ll show you the power of a Saiyan who is also a woman!”

I noticed it when I was updating my sheet. It's pretty cool.
I try.

I'd recommend everyone make something like this, even if it's as simple as a single line, image, and quote. It'll help to announce your posts IC and easily see who's your reading as well as give everyone a reminder of just what this individual looks like.

Okay then!...

This is update number 7!! I've finally gotten to the point where someone is killed, and all of our characters now reel from the loss. The piece is now 6 1/2 minutes long, the longest piece I've ever composed, and I'm still not finished... Dear lord what am I doing? Lol!

But yes, the piece is now at the point where the next step is the one everyone's been waiting for... The snap, the power up, and the grand finale!

The piece is nearly finished, and with luck I'll have the final touches all finished by the middle of next week. I expect another minute and a half to two minutes out of this final section of the transformation, as it will be the most detailed part I can manage.

I hope you guys like it so far!

By the way @Trignome, are you a music major yourself or a graduate of a music major program?

@KingHink, @Sophileon, @Natevess, @Trignome, I went ahead and posted to push us forward.

Devil is in the details in my post. I have given Sophileon room to finish Tiw's fight if he wishes to do so.

For everyone else, banishment has ensued save for Teddy as her power is too low to be worth banishing or really even paying attention to unless something incredibly drastic happens for her power level. Sorry.

Alrighty... I need to reread and start jotting down injuries and make calculations for Fae before I can post.

Take your time.

I left it open so you can adjust your post however you need to.

Pffft. That's but a small problem for Teddy, for she has the power of 'travelling experience' under her belt. Observe how she is coincidentally gathering research material on some planet that one of her future comrades happens to land on. Since she won't sustain any critical wound in the recent battle, she has almost a 14 day head start on everyone else to get to a planet, get into trouble, and consequently power-up from the fights.

Being a medical practitioner is so useful, yo. Immediate treatment of wounds...yeah!

@Kyero Nah, nothing so impressive as that. I'm just your typical instrumentalist. (Who fancies herself a composer.)

Nice. We should definitely collaborate on something one of these days then. I'm always looking to compose something alongside someone else as I think it's an interesting and rewarding experience.

Anyway, just tread cautiously with the healing bit. Sustaining enough injury to power up and then actually having the physical capacity to heal yourself before something else comes along to rip your head off is more than a little risky. Teddy'll have to be careful.

What's the maximum range on a scouter?
Depends on the Scouter. If it's top of the line, it can read power levels all the way on the other side of a planet. But that's about it. It can't read power levels on different worlds.

Did the saiyan have any gear with then when they were banished?
I decided I'd just have a part of my new clothing, because, and I quote, "Those austs stole his armor!"

KingHink said:

They were all banished with a single Scouter, but not one that'd be top of the line. They're low class after all, and the King himself was in charge of overseeing the details so he gave them low end Scouters. Maximum power level they can read is 100,000, max range is only about 50 Ticks (50 miles), and they have a battery life of around 36 hours. So keep it off unless you need it is the thing to remember.

KingHink said:
Fair enough boss. Anything else we should know about this banishment?
You're all alone on a hostile alien world with nothing but your clothing and a Scouter (and your ship, which is out of fuel).

However, both your ship and Scouter still have access to their communication features, so our Saiyans will still be able to talk to one another if they attempt to do so. They just won't be able to reach one another until they find fuel sources to power their ships. Korvaiis and Urod will be able to help with that on my next post, giving the Saiyans a scavenger hunt of viable fuel sources given the planet's they're on.

One thing Urod managed to accomplish before allowing himself to be banished was sneaking a look at the King's plans, so he knows where they are and what kinds of sources are available. The search and refueling will take about a week IC, but we will be able to rejoin one another before long.

Alrighty. I got a rough draft of the planet Fae will be on. I will send you the concept via PM here in a little bit to see if you approve of it.

Meh. I will go ahead and say it here. Basically she will arrive in a planet completely taken over by flora. The planet is basically one big plant.

The planet was an advanced parasitic plant race that overstepped its bounds and fell prey to AI hijinks. To put it simply, since the explanation would be a little complex to convey over my phone, the AI is now basically plugged into the planet plant, and has practically become then planets brain and controls the plants. The AI, as per its original purprose as a gaming computer, has basically killed every one of the original inhabitants off by "playing" with them. Now it is basically just bored and entertains itself by acting out various NPCs.

Concept 2 is much less whacky, and more or less revolves around the plant race themselves and without the AI.

It really depends on how complicated I feel like getting with it on which one I can go with. And how big of a boost I need for Fae to catch up.

I change my mind. I think I'm going to have my planet's warriors be not!Warframes.
War frames?

That's actually a really cool idea. I like it.

Warframe is a sci-fi game, and it's relatively popular. It's free to play as well. The main characters are a race of creatures who were sealed into suits that enhance strange natural abilities they already had, called Warframes. For example, if a Tenno can create a strong gust of wind, that Tenno's Warframe would be able to create a moderately sized tornado.
