A small lore page has been added. As characters discover more about the phenomenon going on in their town, more will be written.

Do you mind if I add an Apple tree in front of Novss house? In putting a character there too?Nova... idk aside from that

I cannot do discord, sorryOn a very far side note, would anyone care for a Discord server?
Sounds like a wise way to keep the story going, AND keep interest! So I've been doing some thinking.
Because there's some interesting plot points that can come from our specific characters, I've been trying to think up an interesting way for the characters to gain back their powers/gear. Obviously things that would allow for leaving the town, aka the TARDIS, would still be left out, probably along with the Death Note's abilities, given how OP that can be without proper personal precaution. Of course, general weapons that are beyond modern day/wouldn't be reasonable for a small town are also banned. This is supposed to be survival horror, after all.
To counter this fact that certain items are still more or less banned, I've been thinking of implementing a system of random drops. That is, exploring the settings and landscapes will garner you fancy new gear from other fandoms. Of course, there's no guarantee that said items will be recognizable by all. The items will more or less randomly spawn off items from the fandoms the Eagle Pines residents are into. The longer the list on those character sheets, the wider the selection of items.
But that's all about gear. For the powers/abilities sections, I think that might be just a gain over time effect. The larger the rift becomes, the more the fandom characters' realities will start to leak through, the more power they regain. Given this rather drastic rule change, I reckon some of you will want to rethink/add characters. Keep in mind that characters like Goku and Superman are still going to be heavily nerfed, but the nerf's purpose is to maintain integrity to the game.
Of course, these are are all still thoughts, and before I implement the random drop/power regain mechanic, I'd like some feedback. (I also need to type of a list of viable gear to randomly drop before I fully implement it...)

I can roll with it either way. I'll admit, I was intrigued by the premise of fandom characters in a real world without their powers and gear, with a survival/horror element requiring that they solve problems with their moral character or brains or with each other. Adding in random fandom gear might offer some interesting options but you run the risk of making it too easy to survive casual monster encounters or whatever we'll be facing. That's even more so the case if we start having fandom characters running around able to knock trees over with a back hand or fly or whatever. There's also the potential risk of the D&D combat machine syndrome where the 'challenge' of the encounters amps up to pose a threat to the most combat capable character...which can quickly escalate things for characters who aren't combat machines to the point of running away or perishing.
If you feel adding that stuff in will make your game stronger or more fun, then by all means. Just think through the impact first.
Maybe I would take into consideration the fact that maybe people (who had superpowers) should be powered enough again that you can at least hold back whatever horror abominations come out during the survival-horror aspect, but not enough that you can curbstomp absolutely everything.Hmm, thank you for bringing up these points. Combat wasn't exactly going to be a thing in this rp - the basic idea behind most encounters is run or die. But I see that adding in gear and a slow power gain would defeat this idea. I'll admit the reasoning for adding in this mechanic was partly self-indulgent, mostly with Frisk's ability to SAVE and RELOAD and RESET, basically scrubbing their way along the timeline. Returning that ability would add a last-ditch way of basically starting over if the characters failed to survive. And of course, some random gadgets and gizmos might help with the whole survival aspect, but the idea of weaponizing non-weapon items simply didn't occur to me. The part that's horror is the very real risk of death, and adding an easy way out more or less removes the horror aspect.
I think I'll think on it more, but for now, I'll leave it as is. If major problems arise, I'll revisit this idea.

I got a good amount of characters to pump out, just dropping in some blatant comic-relief characters since there is a lot of serious ones (still got Deadpool to bring out who is most definetly comic relief).
Got some serious ones to bring, and on that question.
Noivian I am planning on bringing in Grand Admiral Thrawn, as per the Novel (which I absolutely loved) and just the canon and legends in general the Chiss species are known to have their vision be a small mix of infrared, and visible spectrum, would it be ok to retain his regular vision as is, or would I have to eliminate his infrared portion of his sight and replace it with his vision lying in only visible spectrum?
I'm largely assuming the Doctor is still operating with his Time Lord physiology. Given this incarnation's out of regenerations, about the only other thing it's good for is being somewhat psychic (with a head bonk) and having a bi-pulmonary cardiovascular system which isn't good for much beyond surviving vacuum and getting stabbed through (one of) his hearts. Oh, and his brain is ridiculous. If any of that's objectionable, let me know.
Exactly. In tired and on my phone, so I'm gonna change it. Please, anyone reading this, disregard my last post.Squad141
I feel the need to remind you that this rp takes place in a rather rural, heavily forested town. Not all houses are located in town center, and quite a few are a sizeable walking distance from any other sign of civilization. I should think that Callie's house is rather far from the town center, and has nothing but woods surrounding it for quite a while. Nova's house, for reference, is about half a mile from town center, and is located on a hillside surrounded in trees.
Welp, Rick and Morty is on that case, with interacting with the Doctor for... Obvious reasons... Now I need to fix my reply to Light and L, considering you just replied before me. And I am mashing the two characters together in the same post to multitask the same situation. I will have other fandom characters drop by to interact with others. It's funny that L and Light are here done by Squad141 because I was going to drop together two kickass characters with a pretty similar antagonistic relationship. And I might make a new RL character at some point with some other fandom interests.I'm restraining myself from making another character to interact with the Doctor... hnng.... and there's more fandom characters on the way.
