Fantasy • SAKURA ACADEMY • main (Reboot)

Arcus smiled at the trick Raiven learned to do. He added his power to the ball causing the blue in his eyes to glow. "Raiven I grateful you shared the special thing with me." Arcus said as he let her power sink in watching the lightning ball with high interest. " Maybe one day you can teach me how to do that??" Arcus asked while blushing.

"I could try,  it took me the entire break"  Yawning she snuffed it out "They're really tiring". Leaning against Arcus she smiled again.  Her energy was slowly returning to her.

Looking around she sighed softly " We should get off the roof and unpack. I bet you haven't done it yet " She teased him gently

With a laugh, Kat started walking out of the auditorium and towards outside. "I already met my roommates. Clair and a deaf girl. I think her name is Luka I think." She replied. "So, lets show off our skills and then we can walk each other to our dorms to get ready." Kat smiled once they had gotten outside.

Holding up her palm she made a small water formation of a girl who was dancing. It was something that was hard to master when it came to an elemental. Concentrated power into life like things took Kat quite a while to get the hang of. However when she noticed Homura talk about flying she shook her head. "Finally mastered that or are you still falling on her face?" She asked jokingly knowing as well as being confident in her friend that he had achieved a new technique.

@GreyGremory

Homura looked surprised at Kats new ability "That's amazing, and no I'm not falling anymore.....at least not very much" he said as he flared up his hands and feet. He began to focus on flame intensity and his flames grew hotter and hotter "Alright now watch this" he said happily as he jumped up and willed his flames to burst forth, propelling him up into the air. He began to maneuver around the areas above Katalina with some difficulty but he was having a great time with it "Here watch this" he started generating a smoke trail and started flying in loops and patterns as if spelling a word. When he was done he slowed down and tried to land. His landing as usual was rough but he didnt break anything so he was okay with that "There....ow....my master piece" he said as he pointed to the sky to reveal a smoke trail message 'WelcomeBack' floating around in the sky until it began to fade "How's that for a fun technique" he smiled as he got up and patted himself off.

Clair was shocked to see Arcus bust her box , normally she didn't ever have to think twice about reinforcing her walls but apparently now she did. It was quite remarkable to see how powerful Arcus had become in just a small period of time however the tone he used along with his amalgamation of words made it seem as though he was above Clair in power. Surely she must have misheard , apparently not for shortly afterwards the boy decided to hit Clair with a bolt. The bolt of course sent her Hair flying and yes it stung quite a bit but Clair , well she just remained quiet , remained still.

Remaining still and quiet was all she could do to keep herself from exploding into a rage that would surly shake the very school itself. Not only had these two lied to her but they had also attacked her in broad daylight. Not one to rush to violence , in fact not one to use violence in any form , Clair had no other choice but to continue resisting the verbal onslaught.

Soon others arrived on scene to investigate and thankfully offered Clair some assistance with both her hair and her temper , if it weren't for Luka and Reno Clair would have quite possibly snapped. Soon after everything had died down Clair warped the space around herself in order to fix her appearance and well once that was done she offered her thanks and went about her way to make a written report directly to the principal.

Luka shrunk away from Clair,  unsure what to make of both her powers and her mood.  Signing something to herself she nodded. Enigma was the perfect name for Clair.  She turned to Reno and bid him farewell before leaving for her dorm room to do whatever unpacking she had left.

With amazement, Kat watched closely at Homura's new ability and she was impressed. Grant it she wasn't a fire user, but she definitely couldn't pull that off. Smiling, she looked back at Homura and clapped. "That was amazing. I love it."

Eyeing a nearby pond, she used her power to gather a large sphere of water that had unfortunately had some fish caught into it. Kat made a slicing motion with her hands and the fish fell through the sphere and into the body of water. She then moved the sphere towards her and then she made it split in half. Having two smaller spheres floating on both sides of her, she made them mold into replicas that looked exactly like her. The clones smirked at Homura while the original Kat looked at the clones then back at Homura. "How about that?" She asked then made them disappear into the ground.

@GreyGremory

Reno was glad that Luka doesn't find him all that intimidating, even though he's an elemental, elite, and not a very sociable person. When he arrived in his room to set up some of his stuff, he noticed a cloud of smoke out of one of the windows that read "Welcome back." Curious as to what was going on, he headed for the location, when he arrived he saw Kat, Homura, and a pair of clones that looked like Kat, right before they disappeared. Feeling like he owes them some of his time, he walks over to both Homura and Kat.

"I have to admit," he shouted at them. "That was some pretty impressive techniques. Glad to know that you all have been making some progress."

       I had finally reached the doors of the academy. Walking over there in my usual flamboyant manner, and knowing that I know nothing in English, I grabbed out my transfer documents. Before the reception could speak, I presented them.

        "You're the transfer student, eh? Can't speak a word in English, as it notes," the receptionist had said. She had given me my keys to my dorm, a translated map, and a book French-English dictionary, and other items that would be given to a new student of Sakura Academy. "Have a good one," she added before I left to unpack. Dortoir Cent-Six. I had then referenced to the map I held. My feet began to move in the right direction, as I had reached a dorm with a label, "106" and used my key to open the door. I saw that I was clearly not alone, and as a gentleman, I claimed an area that was not occupied. Knowing the rumours of how terrible English food is, I had brought in a spare set of French ingredients to last me the year, and snuck in compactable kitchenware for myself. I also began putting down my cabinet and unpacked my belongings. Soon everything was in order, my laptop, my headset, and even my own WiFi spot was set up there. For emergencies, of course. I began pondering what I should do, and I began getting to familiarise myself with my surroundings. I had read my map, and the auditorium was unusually circled. Was there a meeting there that I should attend? I let curiosity get the better of me, and I began my way there.

        As I got there, I had pushed open the door in a secretive manner, not drawing attention to myself. I helped myself to a seat, not that far off from the trio of Reno, Luka, and Homura. As I opened my favorite book,  "The Military Mastermind, Napoleon" and began to read it.

Luka failed to notice the new arrival as she passed by him. However, she did notice the coffee table as she fell over it, knocking her head on the floor. Luka wasn't usually one to cry but she'd already suffered enough today so she started to cry, holding her head in pain from its speedy collision with the floor. She slithered off the low table to the floor and sat there in a teary, tired heap. Tucking her other arm around her legs she retreated into herself.

As she was awaiting Homura's response she caught Reno's shout before he had came up to them. This made her smirk at the compliment, fueling her already confident ego. She turned to him and placed her hands on her hips, nodding towards him. "Alright Reno. Show us what you got. What is something new that you've mastered over the break?" She asked putting him on the spotlight and quite curious as to see what was going to happen.

@ShadowSaber331

"Well," he smirked. "Since you asked."

Reno encased his hand with icy aura and punched the ground hard, creating an ice pillar that propelled him into the air. He then fired off a beam of icy in front of the pillar, creating a ramp which he used to skate on. After a bit of skating, he jumped off the end of the ramp, and use his powers to turn the ice into water, forming it into a large sphere.  Seeing his target, Reno uses generates the same aura to propell himself into the water sphere, using it as a way to break his fall before exiting from the bottom of it.

'Now for the finale,' he thought as he raised the sphere over the school and froze it into an ice ball. Making sure it's out of range, he moves his arms outward, forcing the ice ball to softly disperse, creating a snow like effect over the school. Feeling proud of his show, he forms an ice sword, twirls it, and places it on his back (for visual reference, think Cloud's victory pose from Final Fantasy VII)

"Well, that's my trick," he said. "I can now turn ice into water and back into ice, which I say is useful in a fight to the death."

        I'd begin to observe what was going. I stared at the crying child, and I pitied her. "Une honte," I thought to myself. I had put away the book I was reading earlier and began to take out my French-English dictionary. I was careful to hide the fact it was my way of communicating with others as if it were natural, the book cover, title, text, and words began to change itself by the illusion I began to veil. The book cover read, "Mastering the Arts of Light and Shadow" and I began to "skim" through it. It seemed I was reading as fast as I could while pausing to take note on subjects that took interest to me. In reality, I was skimming to find the words Kat had said, and then translating it to French. Then I would make my response by 'skimming' once more and translating the words I would say into English. It was a hard task and took time. Although, I soon got used to it.

         Finally, after a few minutes of "speed reading," I would then state what I would have to say. "Cool tricks... you have there... Reno... I... assume?" I slowly said, as if it were an obnoxious manner, but I was really trying to enunciate the words correctly. "...How... ego...tist...ical of you, and I assume, others as well. Being a bit, over...the...top... If you had to ask me," I'd slowly say towards Reno. As I detested his look, his unkempt attire made me very uncomfortable, and how he had performed his 'spectacle' made me uneasy. To top it all off, the act of commenting on his mannerisms, I had to fly through many pages. Back and forth, as if there was a gust of wind moving the pages, but the gust of wind has yet to choose the direction it wishes to flow. I would put down my book and fold my arms as if I was a boss watching his workers and managers perform their duties. I had regretted some of the words I would say, as it was done in an ungentlemanly manner. As my slow voice, my body language makes it seem like I was a rich snob from a rival academy. However, a little healthy rivalry and competition never hurt a person.

Luka stood up, slightly off balance because of her headache and lack of hearing. Staggering over to Reno she tugged gently on his sleeve to attract his attention. When he looked over at her she mimed bumping her head for him before showing him the large and obvious bruise that was forming. Luka wobbled a bit on her feet, not entirely used to having to deal with a headache and her deafness while stood up.  She then gave Reno a look that asked him to help her out.

@ShadowSaber331

Reno looked at him with confusion from what this person has just said, which sounded like he was mocking him, or at least trying to because of how he said his words. He was focused on figuring him out, until he felt a small tug on his sleeve, when he turned, he noticed Luka next to him. Luka was miming something, which he interpreted as her accidentally bumping her head against something, that proved to be true when he noticed a bruise. When she was finished, she was staggering slightly, seeing that she was struggling to keep her balance, Reno held onto her, hoping that he could help her stay on her feet.

"Hey, it's okay Luka," he told her softly. "I'll take you to the nurse's office, she might have something for that bruise."

All this guy was doing was skimming through a book called "Mastering the Arts of Light and Shadow," but seeing as he was skimming through the book and how he spoke, he figured it was something else.

"You must have heard my name from one of the students," he said. "Yeah, my skills are pretty cool, but even I know that there's still a lot to learn. Anyway, you must be the new transfer student I read about, judging from the slight french accent when you was trying to speak english."

He looked at the book he was reading, which read as "Mastering the Arts of Light and Shadow." When he put that and the knowledge of his french sounding english, it hit him like a ton of bricks. Shadow elementals are known to change what can be seen, figuring that his theory might be true with this one, he spoke out to him.

"You're reading a french-english dictionary, aren't you?"

Luka leant against him, glad that he'd understood her miming. Miming wasn't her strongest talent. Hopefully, the nurse would be able to help her out. She made sure she had her pad of paper just in case the nurse didn't understand sign language.  She didn't trust herself to write properly however.

Kat

Seeing the performance by Reno. Kat smirked and waited till he was finished. "Show off." She commented before someone unfamiliar spoke up to Reno.

Turning towards him and listening to that him and Reno were saying, Kat glared. Not only was he new, but he seemed to be acting high and mighty. "As I recall," she spat, "you're in this school too which means you still have a lot to learn as well. Don't get high and mighty just because you're not from here. You have a lot of nerve judging people you don't know."

Kat folded her arms and walked to stand ahead of Reno in defense. Having no filter had gotten her in fights, but it didn't stop her from owning up to her word. However, she wasn't seeking a fight at the moment but merely standing up for her friend.

        I was impressed that even an unruly character, as it seemed to me, like Reno... code decode my illusions. I may have perhaps underestimated, but I did my best to rationalize it. As I had picked a poor title to put for my book. "L'ennuyeux a un peu de bon sens." I stated. With a change of mind, the illusion began to slip away. Its true cover began to be revealed, "Francais vers l'Anglias" it said. I had once more began to build up a sentence that I was going to say into English. Calmly, I had flipped through the pages, and it did take a few seconds, if not minutes to find the words I wished to say. "I find it... in...ter...est...ing, h...ow... you... put... t...wo... and two to...ge...th...er... Mak...ing... m...y... ill...us....ions.... as if... th...ey... ne...ver... had ex...is...ted," I had commended him. "My n...ame... is, Raphael Moreau. I come from... the... pre...stig...ous... and hon...or...ab...le academy of," I paused, trying to think how I would say a French name in English. I gave up, and said, "Notre Dame a Paris,"  I stated in my French tongue. My hands grew tired, and I put my book down to rest my hand, and I awaited his response.

@ShadowSaber331

Homura was starting to get a little angry with the new students comments "How about you stop insulting us and show us what you can do" he hated when his friends were picked on even if it didn't seem like it "If someone like you thinks they are so much better how about you show us and then maybe I'll take back my anger" he started raisin his voice a little higher as he flickered blue flames from his hands hair and eyes. He walked toward the person and stopped maybe 3ft away "My name is Homura, people call me the Flame Lord, I'm an elite at this academy and unlike my friends I won't take insults so lightly" he kept his flames up and glared the man down "You being a student here gives no right to belittle us even if you do can be from over seas" he wouldn't stand for some exchange students need to insult anyone who didn't deserve it.

"Arrogance begets doom Raph," said Reno. "Which I find dishonorable myself."

Reno looked towards Luka, and wondered if fighting him would be a good idea with a human inside the battlefield. He wanted to beat this arrogant bastard to the ground, but not without putting her in harm's way. She was one of the few humans that looked past his status as an elite, and as an elemental.

"As much as I want to fight you," he continued. "I'll have to put that on hold, I have to take Luka back to her dorm first."

Reno escorts Luka to her dorm, while figuring out a plan, which he has. His plan was to ask Clair for a bit of help because he didn't want to put Luka in danger, and that fighting a Shadow elemental would prove to be difficult since they can make illusions, which could throw him off-balance. When they arrived at Luka's dorm, he knocks on it loud enough for anyone inside to hear.

"Hey Clair, you in there, we got two problems," he shouted. "First off, Luka kinda hit her head against a table and needs to be rushed to the nurse's office...as for why I can't do that myself, that's also problem two. We got a transfer student here that...somehow picked a fight with us, and as much as I want to fight him, I couldn't risk accidentally hurting Luka in the process."

         I stared at the people who opposed me. Interesting at how the react to my greeting. Clearly, the English aren't fond of people evaluating others. As, in France, people take insults and criticism as a way to improve, a way to move forward, a way to make someone better. Although, their threats seemed to me... as fake ones. Homura may be some sort of 'elite' member in the school. However, I hold a different weapon at my disposal. I had been reminded I was representing France, and if anyone had the audacity perform any harm or threat towards me, the French Authority will... 'be forced to respond', as my presence there was a diplomatic one. I was to set an example, to set the bar I had always raised among the students back in Paris. I took out a piece of paper, a government document from France, I recited what it said, "If any attempt of violence, oppression, or discrimination against any government-backed exchanged student, such as or not limited to the exchange student, Raphael Moreau, who is representing the Republic of France in this diplomatic mission of evaluating the processes and tactics the United Kingdom use to tutor elementals, there shall be dire consequences," I finished reading my statement of diplomatic immunity. I was forced to memorize this statement, in the case if I may be infringed in any manner. I smiled, but of course, I wasn't going to let my shield make me cower in fear. I began taking out my French-English dictionary to translate my words. "If you de...mand.... a sh..ow... Who... am I to re...je...ct... such a proposal?" I asked. I had noticed my English had begun to improve as I learned simple words like, "if" or "you", or "who" and I added it to the long list of words I keep in the back of my brain. "Pl...ease... do not... an...sw...er... that qes...tion," I said, standing up.

          With a wave of a hand, I created an illusion only the surrounding people who paid any attention to me could possibly see. The walls began to tear themselves down, the chairs disappeared into air, leaving the people who still remain seating during this illusion on the floor. The floor itself began to paint itself black. In a few moments, the world had turned itself into darkness. Then, everyone's vision changed, and we would be 'hovering' above a scene. Even the cell phones that people carried had changed effects. The date no longer read the present one, and instead stated, "July 14, 1790"  Bastille Day.

         Cries of men and women could be heard, as the scene below me and the Englishmen had shown peasants invading the Bastille Fortress. They were waving the modern French Tri-Color. The booming of the defending cannons could be heard, and the cries and anguishes of those impacted and the smell of freshly spilled blood had been omitted. Even though the revolutionaries had faced staggering losses, the had put the Bastille Fortress to the torch. They had accomplished what they came for and began a republic that would make its mark on history forever. A French Tri-Color was planted on the spot, to commemorate the day. It left a tear in my eye. I had released the illusion, and then we would come back to reality. I would then sit back down, and begin to listen to the reactions of what had happened. In my stupor, I had added, "Vive la revolution. Vive la revolution..." as I reminincsed the actions it took to give birth to the country I called home.

And game over. Adrian always lost when it comes to level 9 but hey, it was the second to the last level anyway. He threw his game to the side and groaned. He was bored again. Welp. He guessed it was about time to get off his lazy bum. Adrian slowly got up and stretched out a bit, now it was time to see how much the school changed. Because Adrian sure did learn some new tricks over the holidays not to mention he grew a bit and got his hair dyed again but this time a sky blue. Unlike the marine blue he did last year. But that was enough about his changes. Time to go out an re-explore. Adrian exited his dorm room and walked the halls, humming Circus as he did so. It was nice to be alone but where was the praise? Or his fellow elites who he consider his friends? Oh well, Adrian always finds a way to find them. He just had the luck.

Clair Had been working on her report when she heard quite a loud shout at the door , the voice of course belonged to Reno and his speech was quite worrying. If a human student was rushed to the nurses office on day one there would definitely be uproar within the staffroom later this evening , uproar focused on the choices made by both Clair and the principal. What a pain.

However Clair would have to deal with that problem when it arised for now Luka's health was her top priority. Therefore Clair answered the door quite quickly and confronted the party that stood before her "How exactly did she hit her head ? Was it a legitimate accident or was it forced ? I can't have a human being wounded this early on , it will set a bad example...... the other students will capitalise on it !"

Moving quickly to inspect the girl Clair quickly realised the accident wasn't to bad and with time Luka would heal just fine. Moving then to take Luka by the hand ,Clair let out a soft sigh and smiled "This is going to be fine , its just a scratch. Let's get you to your bed , you should feel better after a long rest".

Before escorting the girl Clair quickly focused her attention to the other two students present , now remembering the second 'problem' Reno had mentioned. The transfer student wanted to fight , this transfer student wanted to fight.... " Reno , your not to fight this student , this student can only be engaged in official school fights. If you really want to fight him fill out a form and bring it to me latter , failure to comply will result in serious repercussions. Understood ?"

@XxCharColexX @Eternal Dragonchild @ShadowSaber331

Luka nodded and took Clair's hand, giving her a soft smile before waving goodbye to Reno.

Bed sounded good right now,  especially with her headache.  She'd eat later.

Slowly she made her way to her bed,  making certain to avoid the table and climbed under the sheets, snuggling down.

"Actually, there's also another reason why I'm not fighting him," he added. "He's a Shadow elemental from France, meaning he could screw around with me and I wouldn't even know it."

He did recall his time before school, where his father showed him a few tricks to look out for when dealing with Shadow elementals, him being one himself. He took those lessons to heart and trained with him to get used to fighting them. This one though, he could be trouble if this went on any longer than it should, and with the other two elites down there and with a few other students with them...oh crap.

"Anyway," he continued. "He basically acted all high and mighty, I think, not really sure with his broken as hell english and how he said it, and Kat and Homura didn't like how smug he was, We need to get down there before things get out of hand, and knowing Shadow elementals and those two, it's gonna be hell on earth...or at least in a small room."
