Not Everything Is Perfect...(Val & Coedy)

Avery had to stop. She had tears in her eyes and it was getting hard to see. So finally, she did stop. After she could see, she realized where she was. Or at least, sort of. She saw Mr. Hyde in what must be his yard. She dried her tears again and wanted to start riding again.

Dane watched and then smiled a little more. "Good." He said, definitely noticing her arm around his shoulders. "Because I would hurt myself." Still, he got on the ground. Then he attempted the bridge. It wasn't half bad, but not as good as she was.

Sam looked up from his papers, he saw Avery and stood up. "Hey, Avery; are you alright?" He asked her as he walked up to her. He could see the tears in her eyes, and he knew that she could use a shoulder to lean on.

Haley knelt on the ground and put her hands on his back. She pushed up, and then smiled. "You need better form, and then we can talk." She giggled, and then removed her hands. She pushed him up, and then smiled a little. "What else do we do?" She asked him with a smirk.

Avery looked down. "I'm okay." She said quietly. "I just needed to get away." She didn't want to make him listen again, she hated relying on people. "It's nothing." She added. "I can handle it."

Dane smiled. "Yeah well, I have never really did gymnastics." He said. He fell back to the floor and sat up. "I don't know." He said, thinking about it. He was smiling wide. "I guess flexibility things aren't my forte."

"Avery, I am here as a friend, I'm like the girlfriend that you never had. You can tell me anything." Sam told her before he gave her a reassuring smile. He was there for her as a friend and as a teacher.

Haley smiled, "Splits." She told him, before she easily went down into the splits. She smirked and looked up at him. "Taada!" She winked and started to stand up again.

Avery looked down again. "Why do you care so much?" She asked him. "No one's cared before." She told him, gripping her handle bars tightly. "At least not this much."

Dane was about to say something until she did a split. His jaw just dropped. "Um, how about no?" He asked. "I can't sing soprano, but make me to a split and I might." He shook his head. "I definitely can't do that without injuring myself."

"Well I'm not like other people Avery." Sam told her before he placed a hand on her shoulder, he looked at her and then rubbed his eye. "I care because no one deserves to go through hard times without a friend by their side." He told her comfortingly.

Haley laughed, a huge smile grew on her face, "Oh poor Dane, he doesn't wanna sing for me." She smirked and then placed her hand on his shoulder. "Ok then, cartwheel." She told him before she did a simple cartwheel. "You're turn." She giggled and pushed him a little.

Avery continued to stare at the ground. "It doesn't matter." She said. "It's not going to help. At the end of the year, I'm moving and I'll be the new kid with no friends again." She hated having to think about it that way, but that's how it was.

Dane laughed a little. "Not really, not soprano anyway." He smiled as she did a cartwheel. Then he tried and fell. "Yeah, gymnastics isn't easy." He said, getting up again. "How the heck do you do this all the time?"

"What do you want to do?" Sam asked her, "Lets get your mind off of this sad stuff." He said before he looked over at her and then stretched his legs and arms around. He then waited to hear her answer with a smile on his lips.

Haley laid down and then smiled a little bit, "I just do it, I have a passion that leads me through my difficulties." She told him, as she took his hand and then pulled him down next to her. "Touch your toes." She said before she easily touched her hands to her feet.

Avery shrugged. "I don't know." She said. "Anything, I guess." She didn't really care what she did. Then she wondered why she would willingly hang out with her teacher.

Dane smiled more. "Oh, thank God." He said as he bent down and touched his toes. He tipped his head to the side and smiled at her. "I feel accomplished now. I can actually do this one."

"What is considered as anything?" Sam asked with a little chuckle. He had to admit, that it was a little weird that he was kind of getting along with his student. Sometimes he wished that he wasn't a teacher, but then he was glad that he was a teacher.

Haley smiled, "Good for you, now, get into a butterfly position. See if you can press your knees to the ground." She said, as she got into a butterfly, and easily pushed her knees to the ground. She looked at Dane as then pushed his hair behind his ear.

Avery looked up at him and shrugged again. "I don't know." She said. Even now, she was feeling a little better. Maybe friends were what she needed. Though she was sure that her own age would be what her dad preferred.

Dane smiled a little more. He got into the position and tried to push his knees to the ground. "Do you really do this all the time?" He asked. "It's hard. Not to mention uncomfortable." He couldn't do this very well.

Sam smiled, "Oh come on, there has to be something that you are dying to do?!" He asked with a warm smile. He hoped that she would feel comfortable around him, he was only three years older than she was, hopefully t wasnt too much of a gap.

Haley nodded, "Everyday, three hours in the morning, two after school." She told him with a chuckle. She stood up and did a quick back bend walk over, she looked over at him a dn yawned. "So, you wanna head out, or stay while I goof off?" Se asked with a giggle.

Avery shrugged. "I haven't paid attention to what there is to do here." She said. "I never really do." She added. "What do you usually do?"

Dane smiled more. "That's dedication." He said. "Though I'm always doing some kind of sport too, so I get it." Then he stood up. "I think I'll stay. I like watching you."

Sam shrugged, "Read, cook, and hike." He told her as he sat in the grass, and then looked up at Avery. "Care to join me?" He asked he with a. Soft smile.

Haley blushed, and took her place on the beam, and began her routine. After her back flip, and landed on the mat where she started her floor routine again. She finished, and walked to the bars. She did her flips, and when she landed, she lost her footing, and landed on her back. "F*k."

Avery got off her bike and put the kickstand down. "You hike?" She asked. "I haven't gone hiking in forever." She sat next him on the ground.

Dane watched her start going again. She really was something else. When she fell, he stood up. "You okay?" He asked.

Sam nodded, "Yep, there are a bunch of hills and a cliffs around here that I go on a few times." He explained with a little smile. "Would you like to go hiking?" He asked her curiously.

Haley rolled off of the mat, she rubbed her forehead. "Yeah, I'm fine. Don't worry about it." She told him, as she stood up. She gave him a thumbs up, then began the bars again. She landed, and then walked off of the mat, and to the trampoline. She did her front handsprings, and a triple backflip into the foam pit.

Avery smiled a little bit. "Hell yes!" She said with a huge smile. She couldn't remember the last time she got this excited over hiking, but now she needed it. It was what she needed to not think about the move. "I'd love that!"

Dane nodded a little when she said she was okay. He watched as she did it again. She was really good. He kind of regretted not talking to her sooner. She really is kind of cute. He thought as she flipped.

Sam laughed, he stood up, and walked into his garage. He grabbed a few things and then walked out. "Here's some shoes." He said as he handed her a pair of hiking shoes.

Haley finished her floor routine with splits. She laid down on the mats, she looked over at Dane and then yawned. "Wanna join?" she asked as she wiped the sweat off of her forehead.

Avery watched him go and then she stood up. She shook her head at the book. "Thanks, but these shoes are good enough." She said. They were sturdy sneakers that she'd taken a liking to. "They've been through hell and back, I think they can handle a hike." She smiled a little bit.

Dane got up and sat next to her. "I still think you're really good." He said. "Maybe you could teach me a thing or two sometime?" He suggested. He thought it would be awesome to spend more time with her.

Sam nodded, he then laughed a little bit, an stood up at his full height. "You almost ready to go?" he asked as he put his sunglasses on, and then yawned a little. He was tired, so he really did need to go on a hike.

Haley looked up at him, she smiled a little, then slowly slid her hand under his hand. "Now? Or later?" she asked him before she moved, so her head leaned against his leg, like a neck-head rest.

Avery smiled and nodded again. She noticed how tall he was, he was at least head and shoulders taller than her. "I'm set." She said as he yawned. "You tired or something?"

Dane smiled widely and she took his hand. Then she leaned on him and he felt his heart flutter a little. He was starting to think that he liked her. "You think you could teach me something now?" He asked.

Sam nodded, he began to walk with a little laugh. "Nah, just ready for our hike." He told head he started to walk down the street.

Haley turned over, and nodded. "Yes." She said, before she sat up. She slowly stood up, and pulled him closer to her. "Watch." She said before she did a back bend. She kicked up, and then stood up next to Dane with a smile.

Avery left her bike in his yard, she figured she could get it later. Then she started to walk with him. She was really excited for this. "Thank you." She said, looking up at him.

Dane smiled more. He moved closer when she pulled him and stepped back when she started. Then he smiled a little. "That might take some, a lot, of practice."

Sam only smiled and patted her shoulder, "Youre welcome." He told her, as he began to climb the steep hill, also called his street. He looked over at Avery, and then back up at the sidewalk. He was very glad that she was going hiking with him.

Haley smiled softly, "Don't worry, I'll help you." She told him before she placed a hand on his back, and then the other on his stomach. She looked at him, and the. Took her hand off of his stomach. She moved her hands above his head, and smiled kindly. "Follow your hands, all the way down." She told him, as she slowly rubbed his back.

Avery smiled again. She had to take larger steps to keep up with him, but it wasn't much effort. Even though the move was still in the back of her head, it would probably be there from that point on. She'd get used to it.

Dane nodded a little. He tried to do what she said, but he fell on his back. "Ow." He muttered. "You know, the mats don't help much." He said, getting up to try it again. He wasn't going to give up until he got at least this part.
