I wanted to do Discord originally but I'm not sure everyone has it and/or uses it frequently enough...
Is there any opposed to using discord?

Well considering that all you need in order to get a discord account is an email, I don't really think that it's that difficult a requirement to meet, I mean you have to have an email to sign up to RPnation so they can easily sign up for discord as well.

*raises hand* What if there's this group of people that are trying restore the gods to their former glory, and in trying to do so, release phantoms/get themselves corrupted. They could be doing more harm to the world than good, and even get a smaller, fading god 'killed' trying to restore them.

Mm... oh and for the sake of plot things: unless anyone has a problem with it this will take place in the 2000s. Assume alternate earth Japan as the location, and westernization and foreign influence is abundant and is disrupting the old system of kami and shrine worship. People are relying increasingly on technology and science to solve their problems and the issue is that gods now seem obsolete. (We can also have foreign gods/goddesses come into play if anyone wants to play them! ...should be interesting)
Are we talking about the year 2000 or 2000s and above? As in pretty much current time.
Makes sense to me. Why would people pray to Nagi when they can use a gps? I imagine Nagi would be familiar with some foreign gods, since he's pretty much a world traveler. Spends more time in the near shore than with other gods. I don't particularly mind playing foreign gods, though I don't know what I'd be doing with them.

Problems in the near shore affect the far shore and vice versa. That's something to consider when making a plot I guess. I didn't join with very many expectations, so I can't say I'm particularly picky about which one we choose. Evil god. Evil human. Increase in phantoms. War between gods. War between humans. Marriage of Christianity into Japanese religion. Gods being forgotten due to lack of wishes. They all sound good to me. Just pick a problem/villain and run with it, though too much and you run the risk of making a mess. Nagi doesn't have a weapon, nor does he like combat, so his chances of jumping into a fight between gods is pretty low unless the balance of the nearshore/farshore is being toppled or something like that.
Dunno if there's anything I'd especially like to see...cute boding between gods and their regalias, I guess? That was the main attraction of Noragami for me. Yato and Yukine could've spent their days doing odd jobs for all I cared.
One thing that could be interesting to expand on are half phantoms like Hiyori. Or the discrimination against Noras. Aberrations that go against the natural order of things.

Probably low 2000s. Like maybe 2004 or 2006 or somewhere about there. Keep in mind it's an alternate earth, so we don't really have to be exact about tech and world events etc, although incorporating that would be good!
Kk, well there are all sorts of other deities out there in other religions. If they were brought into the mix it'd be pretty funny... and doesn't one of the wealth gods go to Hawaii or Florida or something on vacation? We could have other belief systems tour around japan LO

....Because I don't have Internet at home and use the Internet at school to get on here....and school Wifi doesn't like Discord....so I can only get on it when I'm at church...or other places....
I went over my dissent to a Discord in the interest check but I guess I was overruled >w>

Unfortunately I am a high school student which means I don't always have the time to go to a library because my mother has a life, too
Needless to say, any options you suggest are probably going to be less helpful than intended
Is it really so hard to accept that Discord is not the best solution to everything ;w;

Tbh, I'm not a frequent user of discord either. I lurk RPN because I like this site, but I'll probably need to be reminded to check on discord for this rp (no guarantees I'll be on at the same time). Instant messaging also means there'll be lots of chatting I'll have to read through to get a gist about what's plot-relevant and what's not.

Both forms of Discord and OOC should be fine. For those who want to use Discord can do so and also have conversations that are not related to plotting. Now when there are things being discussed about the plot and decisions have been made then perhaps we can keep an outline on the first post of the OOC? That way those who are not on Discord will be kept up on what has been said. Same goes for OOC. So we can keep like two tabs of notes on what has been plotted and/or suggested.
