Seeing as how he would be already an equipment trying to fight and/or defend the god he wouldn't be able to use abilities in his Shinki form like Boundary or Restraint. Anyways those abilities are for them in their human form as their method of defense since they are quite vulnerable in their human form.

I would have to disagree based on a large part of season 1 and the first episode of season 2 (with Yukine using boundary to moderate his moves).
