Kimi
Coffee Shop
Hands were shoved in the pockets of her shorts when she followed the group into the chic store. It was pretty busy even at this awkward time of day. The smell of roasted coffee beans was strong and made Kimi's nose twitch. She tried not to scowl at the bitter smell, but a clear frown on her face. Her face paled lightly at the mention of more food, a hand to her lips to keep it shut as her cheeks puffed. She didn't want to see what she just ate. "Nah, I think I'll wait outside." She declined Hasuna's offer and she spun on her heels, and swung open the door they just came through.

Relishing in the fresh air, she took in a few deep breaths to calm her still bloated stomach. The road the coffee shop was on didn't have many cars, she didn't know where else to go and she didn't want to go far anyway. So she plopped down on the kerb in front of the store. Her back towards the large glass window, her elbows on her knees and hands cupping her face as she watched life go by slowly. Literally.

Nagi
Kyoto, Coffee Shop, 3pm

At precisely 3:00pm, Nagi teleported in front of the coffee shop--Juki around his neck and Kinki in tow. As always, a gust of wind accompanied him.

Getting Kaname-kun out of bed and ready for the day (afternoon) had taken…a bit…longer than expected. It started with the wet rag, followed by the various ways in which Hiname-chan could force someone out of bed. Nagi was impressed by how creative the young girl could be. He knew it of course, having traveled with her for as long as he had, that Hiname-chan could be quite willful when she wanted to be. However, it was rare that she showed this side of her…at least when it had just been the two of them. It was somewhat entertaining to watch. Naturally, Kaname-kun wasn’t happy which resulted in…lots more cacophony. Yep. Cacophony. Let's just leave it at that.

In the end, Nagi resorted to calling their names so they could just get going.

Looking down at the gun in his grip, Nagi was aware of how rude it would be to walk into a meeting with another god carrying a weapon in hand. Perhaps he should buy a holster for his new divine instrument. It would certainly make carrying Kinki around a lot more convenient.

“Revert, Kana.”

Shifting his rucksack slightly, the green-haired god lifted his eyes to see a girl sitting at the kerb in front of the coffee shop. A regalia. However, she didn’t look like any of the ones Nagi knew Hasuna possessed. Yamaza. Boujouza. Goza. The goddess of hearth and home only had three yesterday...Nagi glanced at Kaname-kun.

“I know you don't want to be here, Kaname-kun. You don’t have to come with us into the coffee shop if don’t want to…” While it would’ve been nice to introduce Hasuna to his newest regalia, Nagi still recalled the events from yesterday. He didn’t feel the need to force unneeded trouble. Nagi wasn’t that type of god. Still, the sadness in the Travel God's voice was quite evident. “…but please stay close enough that you can at least hear my call in the event you are needed.”

That was his job, after all. There was no point in naming a weapon if Nagi was just going to leave him at home.

Fortunately, being a wind god meant that Nagi’s range was quite large. Freedom was something Nagi valued as a travel god. The freedom go where he wanted. To not be tied down to one place—one home. In that sense, Nagi felt he could connect with Noras who didn’t feel satisfied with just one god. Nagi should’ve been satisfied up in heaven. He had everything many gods wanted. A shrine. A home. A model regalia that was waiting for him. Nagi had spent many years building up what he currently had…only to toss it away because of one human.

At least, that was what many gods up in Heaven thought, given the legend he was most widely known for.

Nagi let them believe it because it was easier. If Hasuna listened to the grapevine, heard of him through the grapevine, then she probably thought the same. She was the goddess of the home, after all. Nagi doubted she could ever understand him. They were too different in the way they saw things. However, Nagi didn’t dislike her for that. The differences in people—gods, regalias, and humans alike—were what made them interesting to Nagi.

The things Kaname found interesting were probably different...and Nagi didn't often try to force his opinions on others. Except that one time with Ryuujin. A load of good that did him.

Huh. Maybe Kaname-kun is rubbing off on me.

Shaking his head, Nagi approached the bored looking regalia, smiled, and introduced himself--letting any negative thoughts flutter away. Thinking too much was one of his flaws--or so Harume had told him. “I’m Nagi, the god of Travel and Exploration. Would you happen to know if Lady Hasuna is inside?”

He could've just walked in and found out the answer for himself. It would certainly be more efficient. However, Nagi liked meeting people. Everyday spent in the nearshore was a day to see something new. To learn something new. To meet someone new.

Tetsukawa's Formal Emporium(Kyoto)

The female tightened her jaw at Ude's comment of the regalia knowing enough.
She had continued helping Inbu and simply smiled at the young boy half heartedly before beginning to look for Ude's outfit. She knew what he would wear she just had to find it in a color that would fit him.
While she thumbed through the layers of fabric she commented on Inbus statement.
"Just a book?, I think you both just haven't found your strength yet is all"
The young regalias words struck her hard as for a second she stopped her search the clear sign of hesitation clinging against her like pollen strewn about in the summer breeze as it found its way across the fields.
Hagaka continued her search for clothing as Ude stood and asked what she had in mind, but Inbus inquiry was already etched in her mind as she spoke the sadness that filled her tone was a mixture of feelings in its entirety. She cracked her false smile once more.

"I...didn't, Not originally..., but that is another story for another time...here Ude"
She finally managed to choke out as she grabbed the hakama and under robe as she faced him her face appearing as if she was about to break into tears. Not wanting him to say anything she shook her head to not bring it up and that she was alright. The last thing she wanted was for the regalia to regret a question he had asked.
"I am sure you will look very good in this, go ahead and try it...I will pay for these"
She breathed as she ensured Udeya had taken the expensive clothing from her hands.
"And Ude...i already have"
she whispered as she passed by speaking of how he had asked her to disregard what he had said earlier.
The nora walked to the counter and pointed out the clothing she wished to purchase. Producing a plastic card and swiping it as money was transferred from her allowance account as Kamatsu called it to the stores.
She turned and went back to the two males hoping to get a chance to see the both of them together dressed to impress.

"Okay you two, let me s....Ude we need to go"
The young womans face dropped all hint of leisure and sense of being carefree taking on a cold visage of serious intent.
Outside the shop another storm was beginning to form and so soon after the massive vents that had terrorised the city.
This one was no here near those in strength but regardless it would attract phantoms and Hagaka despite being strong even without a kami was exhausted from being up for the past two days and fighting none stop.

Kimi
Front of coffee shop
Black hair was all over Kimi's face as a sudden gust of wind appeared out of nowhere. She wasn't impressed, of course it couldn't be a nice gentle breeze. Her jaw clenched in irritation before she blew a lock away that was tickling her nose, only for it to fall back to the same position. Without a word, she brought her hands to the mop on her head and flung it all backwards- an unglamorous hair flip. Her fingers quickly got stuck midway thanks to the tangles, but shook it out, bringing it to the side to deal with it better.

She wasn't really paying attention to the chatter around her, the humans couldn't see her anyway, let alone talk about her. Her fingers were lazily pulling apart the knots in her hair when someone made himself known. Surprise and curiosity made her look up, raising a brow at the bright green haired god, Nagi, he introduced himself. 'Huh, another one.' Kimi thought nonchalantly, he was definitely different from what she pictured, then again her own goddess is pregnant, so she wasn't really sure what to expect anyway. "Ah, yeah. She's inside waiting for you mister." She stuck a thumb behind her shoulder, pointing to the coffee shop. Her purple eyes glanced at the dark haired boy, coming to the conclusion that he must be the god's regalia, before she spoke to Nagi again.

"Hey buddy, could you do me a favor and make it quick?"
Kimi asked, catching herself that she just referred to him in a friendly way. She wasn't sure if she could. Looking away nervously, she quickly spat out, "p-please."

Kokoro
Coffee Shop

"One peppermint white hot chocolate for... Kokoroza?"

The raven-haired girl in question raised her hand, but when the barista continued to look around for the woman he literally couldn't see Kokoro grumbled and walked over to take it from his hands, before returning to her seat. She had agreed to come along to the coffee shop without too much persuading, not wanting to be too far from her only remaining friend, but still wasn't ready to play nice with Hasuna and sit at the same table. So she had opted to sit at the seat closest to the window, not too far from the goddess, but where she could keep her eye on Kimi.

She spent the next quarter of an hour nursing her drink in silence, alternating her attention between the girl people-watching and the woman with her collection of children. Not for the first time since being claimed Kokoro wasn't sure how to feel about what she was watching. Despite being servants bound to her, the goddess treated her regalia like they were her own children. It was good to know that she wasn't been patronizing to Kokoro specifically, but she was using "her kids" to fight? That wasn't right.

Kokoro turned her eyes back to the window to find a man talking to Kimi. He was handsome, even with the odd hair color, but what really stood out to her was that he was talking to a spirit, something a normal person shouldn't be doing. Explanation: either this was another spirit or the god Hasuna was waiting for, the later option proving itself the answer when Kimi pointed him inside. "Hey lady." She called over to Hasuna and pointed out the window. "I think your hot date's here."

Kaname
Kyoto, Coffee Shop

Kana had never hated anyone as much as he hated dry paint. No, that was too tame of a nickname for her. Even stick-in-the-mud wouldn't do. He glared at her from within the void, or tried to, being a gun and all, and decided that Devil suited her more. She was a devil hiding behind the façade of a little girl.

All he wanted to do was sleep, but apparently that was too much to ask for. Kana turned away once he was a person again, glaring across the street. He couldn't make up his mind on whether he wanted to ignore her existence entirely, or glare at her until all life on earth came to an end. Because he knew she wouldn't apologize before then. He didn't acknowledge either Nagi or the regalia in front of them at first.

Though the idea of waiting out here and doing nothing but watching people walk by until he lost enough brain cells to be entertained by it sounded like the opposite of what he wanted to do. But sitting in a coffee shop listening to two gods talk didn't sound all that appealing either. Both options were dull, but one was just slightly less dull than the other.

"I'll go," he grumbled without turning around. "But only if we go to Hafuu Honten after we're done." Like most places in Kyoto, it was a restaurant that Kana had looked in from the outside.

Udeya
Tetsukawa's Formal Emporium / A Hospital In Kyoto
Ude stared at the clothes in his hands, his eyes wide. He couldn't take this. It was too expensive. It was probably worth more than all of his belongings combined. He was about to say as much when he felt her sadness, as strongly as if it was his own. Ude looked at her, but she didn't want him to ask, so he wouldn't.

She left before he could try to convince her to pick out something less expensive, so he accepted his fate with a soft sigh and went to change.

"I'm glad Hagaka convinced you to go," Inbu said when he came back out, sitting on a bench.

Ude felt uncomfortable as he looked at himself in the mirror. He looked like someone he wasn't. Someone more deserving of an outfit like this, someone worthy of shrines and followers. "I look like a god," he muttered, mostly to himself.

Inbu burst out laughing next to him, clutching his sides as he fell back on the bench. Though he stopped when Hagaka said they needed to go, and Ude noticed the storm. He went back to change, relieved that the storm gave him an excuse to be out of that outfit. "Come, Raiki," he said, holding his hand out for him.

He moved closer to Hagaka, ignoring Inbu grumbling about being able to walk, but wasn't sure what to do. He wouldn't call her, but could she keep up with him? Ude wasn't sure, and he didn't want to waste time asking, so he gave her the bags to hold and picked her up.

"I'll repay you for this," Ude said as he took to the rooftops. It was a little hard carrying both Hagaka and Raiki, but he managed. He only stopped once they were far enough away that phantoms wouldn't come after them, letting Hagaka down. It looked like they were near a hospital.

Nagi
Kyoto, Coffee Shop

Nagi blinked, not at the friendly way the female regalia made the request, but the nature of the request itself. It sounded like she was waiting on one of them, though Nagi knew it couldn’t be him since he didn’t know her. That meant the regalia was waiting for Hasuna. She was likely Hasuna’s regalia after all—a new one, judging by how unsure she appeared.

“It’ll also be up to Lady Hasuna how long this meetup lasts,” Nagi replied. Yesterday had been the first day they’d seen each other in years, since Nagi didn’t often attend Heaven’s gatherings, so there could be much said. Not to mention, it wasn’t completely up to him how long the friendly chat lasted. Conversation was a two-way street…and he hadn’t been the one to decide the meetup either. Nagi smiled at the regalia. “But I’ll certainly do my best. At the very least, I’ll take into consideration the fact that Lady Hasuna has a cute regalia waiting for her.”

The way the girl struggled to add the final word to the end of her request made him think of his own new regalia. It hadn’t been necessary. Nagi’s answer would’ve been the same either way. But it was adorable nonetheless. Then Kaname declared that he would join Nagi in the coffee shop and the Travel God’s grin widened. He hadn’t a clue where Hafuu Honten was, but he was confident he could find it. At the very least, Kaname-kun would know, since he’d been the one to suggest it.

Glancing at Kaname, Nagi nodded before entering the coffee shop with both his regalias. “Sure. We eat at Hafuu Honten after talking with Lady Hasuna. Then I’ll show you one of my wayside shrines.”

Don’t I get an opinion, Lord Nagi?

Do you have anything against the suggestion, Hiname-chan?

Well…no…but you shouldn’t have to barter with that idiot.

Why not?

Hiname let out a long, exasperated sigh that had Nagi chuckling. The smell of grounded coffee beans was a strong as he remembered. Nagi waved at the shop owner who he’d bought a large assortment of donuts from this morning. The man waved back. Nagi must’ve made quite the impression by doing that. However, unless he visited this coffee shop often, he doubted he would last long in the owner’s memory.

It took a second to locate Hasuna, who was sitting at one of the tables. There was another far shore resident present. A dark haired regalia…that Nagi assumed was Hasuna’s as well. Though he was confused as to why they were sitting in separate tables. Respectable distance, perhaps? Nagi didn’t mind if his regalias joined the conversation. There were times when regalias, with their different views, provided new insight that gods may miss.

“Sorry to keep you waiting, Lady Hasuna. This is Kaname—as a vessel Kinki.”

They’d met before, but that had been under a different name. Therefore, re-introductions were in order.

Tetsukawa's Formal Emporium/Hospital (Kyoto)

The Nora had expected the kami to teleport himself from harms way possibly to his nearby shrine if he had one in this area, it had been so long the female was no longer sure of how popular Udeya was regarded as kami went.
She had also expected to stay. In an effort to either buy them time or protect any innocents that may be converted, blighted or worse. Yet that is not how it went down as the man called Inbu to his vessel state the name Raiki ringing out almost reverberating from his lips. Then she was given the bags which calmed her steeled visage and honestly had surprised her.

"Ude surely you dont mean to.."
The girl was about to say that surely he had not meant to face the storm alone and with Raiki? But her words were cut short and replaced with a quick yelp of exasperation as she was lifted and told he would repay her.
She had no idea whether he meant for purchasing the clothes or for what he was doing as his arms slipped just underneath her knees at the edge of her thighs and around the upper portion of her back respectively.
She was being carried like a bride or like a princess in some fairy tale and the thought of how it must look caused her cheeks to burn red partially with embarrassment.

"Ude i can manage on my own you dont have to..."
She had started to halfheartedly protest his actions but they were in the air hopping along the rooftops and creating distance from the storm finally coming to rest near a hospital.
During their escape Hagaka had said nothing more besides tossing an apologetic look to the book that now stayed wedged uncomfortably between the Kami's arm and her body.
Upon touching down Ude released her and she quickly took a few steps back turning from him realizing she had actually enjoyed that more than she probably should have. After calming herself she turned back holding both bags in her hands by their twine handles she scanned the massive building they had touched down so close to. A faint smile appearing as she did so.
It was fate that brought her back to Ude and surely it had to be fate once more that returned her to the presence she felt once more in such a short time.

"Udeya....A Shinigami i know is here, I hope you are still well Azani"
Hagaka replied quietly more to herself than to the two men of the far shore that she accompanied.

Azani
Nospital

Azani had been called to a hospital once more and while others might feel uncomfortable in a place that was so close to the phantoms, filled with suffering and sorrow, but for Azani it was fine death was like that rarely did it come as a friend always it was a battle that humans would one day lose going down kicking and screaming even if they honestly wished to die. Modern medicine prevented so many from dying which only prolonged their suffering even when there was no true cure. Still she did not judge them it was the way of the living to fight against death all of life was a fight against it why should she expect them to just given in at any point or assume those around some woudl let them give up.

Azani had kept her distance from Sachi often sending her out of the room when she did her work not wanting to reveal that for all her talk of being some great evil being that snatched away life she actually only did it to those that were suffering and were ready to die she in the end was closer to a god of mercy but she couldn't accept being something so positive. Azani knew she had done wrong in the past, if killing a person could be a life sentence for a human then really what right did she have to be positive when she had killed humans , ad lead them to kill themselves before she had changed. there was no excuse for such things so Azani deserved to be seen as a villain after all who could really pardon a god for their crimes.

After exiting a room, having killed the man inside she found Sachi milling about and before she could say they were leaving she felt a presence, Ai, and another god had arrived. Azani's hand curled into a fist she had known she might one day see Ai with another god but still to have her so close yet so far away it was infuriating. Still she didn't display this rage hiding it deep down Ai was a nora this was normal it was the way of things, still she didn't like it. Azani accepted her place she would always be set apart from other gods and would always be the bad guy so she should accept that a nora might have to spend time with another. Still Azani did secretly not fully trust Sachi still and even feared that she might actually come to hate her when she learned anything about her kind. It was fair Azani had been the very kind of monster that was the bane of lost souls why should she be liked, but she already knew Ai didn't hate her for that.

" Sachi we should leave it seems that someone else has been called here " She said not wanting to confront ai and her current wielder and in truth trying simply to run away from any issues that might be caused after all nothign good could come from having a run in with a real god it was best to just leave.

Shizuya

Shizuya barely spared the other God a glance as they soared overhead for a brief moment. What they chose to do was really none of her concern. She smiled as Yuuken easily accepted her apology, and chuckled as he pointed at a ramen shop. He really was adorable.
"Of course! A good bowl of ramen is exactly what we need." Shizuya said cheerfully. That being said, she happily weaved through the various groups of people before entering the Ramen shop. She, obviously, assumed Yuuken was either directly behind or beside her. She chose a seat at the bar, and waited a moment before calling attention to herself and Yuuken.
"Excuse me." She called out to the chef who had walked by the two several times already. He seemed surprised after he saw them but quickly hid it, asking them what they wanted. Shizuya asked for a pretty standard bowl of ramen, as she didn't really want anything unusual. The chef nodded and turned his attention to Yuuken.

Why Nagi, there is no need to apologize, you are right on time. I see you have met Kimiza my new regalia. The pouty one over there is named Kokoroza. But that Is not why you are here. Nagi nodded. Straight to the point, then.

Glancing at Kokoroza for a brief moment, he set his backpack to the side and took the seat across from Hasuna, letting Kaname know he could sit wherever he wanted before answering the Hearth Goddess’s question.

“I’ve heard whispers that things have been pretty…rocky…in heaven—gods growing weaker, some of the shrined ones even disappearing…” Nagi opened his rucksack and pulled out a scroll—the binding ritual/wedding invitation. “Then there’s this. I guess I just wanted to hear things from your perspective. How bad are things up in Heaven? Do you think this change is necessary?”

Well, not so much change as reverting back to the old ways…or so Fuujin had put it. Not that his friend had ever gotten married.

Sachi
Kyoto, A Hospital

Sachi stopped her humming when Azani addressed her, looking up and tilting her head curiously. “Someone else? Why should we leave of someone else is here?”

Nonetheless, the little girl got up and moved to follow her goddess. She couldn’t really sense anything out of the ordinary. No shifting of the air. No sudden poem or sprinkles of sakura flowers. If it was a god that had showed up, it wasn’t a very showy one.

Residents of the far shore were either gods, phantoms, or regalias/spirits. If that "someone" was enough to drive Azani away, it was most likely a god. Though, she found it odd for Death to be scared of anything.

Flicking away a tiny phantom that flew near her ear, Sachi smiled, tucking her hair and placing her hands shyly behind her back.

“No matter. I’ll go wherever you do~”

Nagi was pretty worried from the looks of it. To be honest Hasuna was as well. Well heaven is in disarray, there have been gods disappearing and it's really shaking things up. People are scared. They say that it is because people no longer believe in the gods. But there just seems something fishy about this. As for the changes, I like them, though I probably should, being the goddess I am. Though I dislike the panic, and the belief that it will save the gods. Things are moving too fast, too many are doing the ceremony for the wrong reasons. She took a long sip of her drink. So how about you? What is happening in the near shore? I've been hearing rumours that storms like last night are becoming more common.

Kaname
Kyoto, Coffee Shop

Kana stopped short at the sight of the god that Nagi was meeting with.

It was the goddess from the day before. The one he'd yelled at before storming out of the coffee shop. He had been listening when Nagi talked about the meeting--kind of, not really--but it still took him by surprise. Luckily though, Hasuna didn't acknowledge him, and he followed Nagi to the table and plopped down in the seat next to him. He was in a slightly better mood, seeing as not only were they going to Hafuu Honten after, but Devil was still a necklace and he didn't have to hear her talk.

Kana tapped a finger against the table as they talked about... whatever, glancing at the fruitcake calling to him in one of the display cases. He wondered if Hasuna would consider it rude if he left to get a slice. Or that he wasn't listening. He managed to sit still through their small talk for another minute before he stood up and abandoned Nagi, choosing to sit with the other regalia instead. What was her name again?

"Kokoroza, huh? That's a mouthful," he leaned forward, propping his chin on his hand. "What's she the goddess of?" he squinted at Hasuna. "Pregnancy? Childbirth? Children?"

Udeya
A Hospital In Kyoto
"It's dark in here," Raiki said at Hagaka's sorry look.

"She can't hear you, In," Ude muttered under his breath as Hagaka stepped away, shifting the book to a more comfortable position. He already felt awkward enough talking to someone no one else could hear, but it was worse when he knew Hagaka was listening in.

"What, really?"

Ignoring him, Ude turned back to Hagaka. "I should have asked your permission first. I won't do it again if you don't want me to," he said, then realized that her attention wasn't on him, but on the hospital across from them.

He moved closer to the edge when she mentioned a Shinigami being nearby, but he couldn't see her down below. His senses were dull, like a blade left out to rust and rot. He'd gone most of his life ignoring the feeling of far shore beings being nearby. He wouldn't have even known another god was around if Hagaka didn't point it out.

He searched the area again, but none of the people down below stood out to him, "If you want to go to her, you should," he looked back at Hagaka as he said it.

"Yeah, we'll wait for you to come back."

Ude blinked, "We will?"

"You won't go to the wedding if she doesn't, Ude, and she bought all those nice clothes for us," Raiki the guilt-tripping book pointed out.

Ude sighed, rubbing the back of his neck. "In says we'll wait for you, you know, until you're done," he gestured vaguely towards the hospital.

Nagi
Kyoto, Coffee Shop

Nagi smiled, glad to see that he and Hasuana was on the same page when it came to the ceremony. Even if the situation was dreary, it was nice to know he did have some gods on his side. Marriage for the wrong reasons. It was true that he thought the gods were rushing into things—especially when it came to ancient rituals that might do more harm than good.

“I’ll have to admit, I’ve spent the last few weeks up in the mountains…”

The Himalayas. Mountain climbing and taking pictures.

“But I have noticed the excessive gloom in the air, especially when I enter cities and towns were electricity is available. The wind spirits have been more agitated as of late. Even the mountain and river deities I’ve met are troubled. Pollution is increasing in their areas. It’s as if humans have stopped caring…”

I don’t think nature is much a priority for humans these days, Lord Nagi.

“I don’t know if there’s anything we can do about it either,” Nagi shrugged. “It’s the natural course of the world. As humans grow smarter, they become less dependent on gods. I think that’s a good thing—seeing humans stand up on their own and take their lives into their own hands.”

...Even if it means you might disappear forever, Lord Nagi?

Nagi’s finger wrapped around the orb dangling from his neck—a comforting gesture. He’d lived quite a long life. He wasn’t afraid of death. What he was afraid of was hurting those he’d grown to care for.

“Gods are born to serve a purpose. Once we’re no longer needed, it’s inevitable that we’ll fade. That’s the way it’s supposed to be. ” Meeting Hasuna’s eyes, Nagi spoke honestly. Words he would never dare say in the company Her majesty, or any of the other gods ancient gods in Heaven for fear of offending them. However, it was also something he felt the ones in Heaven needed to hear—something he’d noticed as he walked the near shore along with humans. “I think the Gods in Heaven have grown complacent. Looking down at the world from above, they’ve forgotten that it’s humans that gave them birth and humans that give them a reason for existing.”

She was surprised at the sheer disregard of self Nagi expressed. Perhaps it was because Nagi was an air spirit, he was so detached. Was he so nihilistic to think that his life didn't matter? Whatever the reason though, what he said was unacceptable. I ought to slap you! How could you say that! Are the gods just some tool to be used and tossed aside once the humans have no need for them? Are they simple slaves to human will? Am I not a person just like any other? How can you be so dismissive of the life you have? And the sheer nerve to tell me that I am complacent when it is the humans who have abandoned the gods, not the other way around! She took a deep breath of air before continuing. And I never not once forgot that it is the humans that allow me to continue my existence because I can NEVER FORGET! Or have you forgotten what it is like to be some no name God in constant fear of being forgotten! BECAUSE I NEVER HAVE! And I don't know about you but maybe the gloom in the air has more to do with humans rejecting the gods than you think! Come Girls, we'll let this nihilist vagabond move on.

Kokoro
Coffee Shop

Kokoro made a face when Hasuna introduced her, but it was gone almost as soon as it had appeared and she tipped an imaginary hat to Nagi before returning her attention to her drink. She continued to watch Kimi outside while listening to the conversation behind her. While she had no interest in hanging out with literal gods, she made it a point to never pass up an opportunity to learn something useful. It was what had kept her alive this long in the afterlife. She picked out that gods were disapearing, something about a ceramony being rushed, polution, and something about the gods' purpose. This caught her interest, but before she could hear the rest of that subject theboy who had come in with Nagi plopped down next to her and made a rude comment about her name.

Making another face, she turned to the boy. "It's just Kokoro. No 'za'. And at least I'm not named money."
She glanced back at the goddess before answering his actual question. "Don't know. Never asked. I'm guessing she's some kind of fertility go-"

"I ought to slap you! How could you say that! Are the gods just some tool to be used and tossed aside once the humans have no need for them? Are they simple slaves to human will? Am I not a person just like any other? How can you be so dismissive of the life you have? And I don't know about you but maybe the gloom in the air has more to do with humans rejecting the gods than you think! Come Girls, we'll let this nihilist vagabond move on."

Kokoro stared wide-eyed at Hasuna, trying to wrap her head around the sudden outburst. When she realized that her ride was leaving without her she scrambled out of her seat to follow. "Whoa whoa whoa! That's it?" Kokoro tried to put herself in front of the goddess before she could get too far out the door. "You're leaving? You guys go through the trouble of setting this up, come out here, and the moment he says something you don't agree with you dip? No conversation? No civil debate? You're just running? I know I'm one to talk, but that's kind of a bitch move."

Azani
Kyoto Hospital

At least Sachi was cooperating on this part as the gods and Shinigami didn't have the best relationship more than once a god had slain one of her kin for being nearby. That was not why Azani wanted to leave she in truth didn't know if she could see Ai with another it was jealousy a deep rooted loathing of knowing someone that was yours was woth another and it was an emotion all to human for the supposed divine. Still part of Azani did wish to go see this previous owner to know just who would be wielding Ai like a parent seeking thier child's correct match even though Ai was by far her senior. She also did fear that Ai would tell her she was not going to return that in a way one person mattered more than the others one name was closer to her heart and that name was not Azani's. Still she might seek to return and running would only prolong it thanks to childish fear. Azani was a god not a child she could not run from something like this she was not s build with a crush. Azani had to face this head on if Ai was going to leave her then fine but if she was gone and likely never yo return then Azani would not let a name given by her taint Ai.

"Change of plans we are going to meet Ai I must ask her a few things" Azani said trying her best to sound detached and aloof playing again the distant unfeeling goddess of death but still there was done dread and sorrow in her tone she did not see this going well. Still good or not Azani had to know and started to walk to the roof.

Hasuna thought that maybe Koko was right. She didn't give Nagi the chance to explain himself, and maybe Hasuna was being a bit harsh. You don't understand Koko. You don't know what it's like to be reliant on the wishes of mortals for your very survival. We have to do anything asked of us just to survive. I am just one of the lucky gods, born to fulfill a good wish. There are other gods that are forced to commit terrible crimes and the worst atrocities to stay alive. Not through any fault of their own but because they must take what they get. So can you see why I am angry when he says he doesn't care if he disappears? She was sobbing now. Lets Go

Kimi
Coffee Shop
Kimi let out a big yawn, not bothering to cover her open mouth as she did. Bouncing up to her feet, she stretched a little before deciding to check how the little meet up was going. She turned round and caught Hasuna getting up abruptly through the shop's window, before Kokoro caught up with her. Her purple eyes flicked back towards the bright green-haired god, wondering what on earth had happened for Hasuna to do that. She hastily entered the shop, the bell by the door ringing and alerting the staff of a guest. The waitress was just about to say her usual welcome, but stop short as she didn't seem to see Kimi by the door.

She didn't manage to catch what Kokoro had said to the goddess, but got close enough to hear Hasuna's reply. Which she did not understand at all, but the tears that streamed down her face made her eyes widen. Kimi didn't know what to do or say in the situation to comfort her-- heck she didn't know what happened. But she was sure that Nagi had something to do with it. Without a word, she rested her hand on her friend's shoulder to let her know that she was here and slipped towards the other god. "When I asked you to make it quick, I didn't mean to make her cry." Her eyes were cold and seemed to turn to a darker shade as she stared into his green ones. "Better watch that mouth of yours, buddy."

Whether that was a warning or a not, Kimi couldn't help but feel angry at him. She didn't know if her mood was due to her relationship with Hasuna or some weird, cheesy "girl squad" reaction, seeing those tears didn't sit right with her.

Kaname
Kyoto, Coffee Shop

Kana raised an eyebrow at Kokoro. He was about to ask her if that was the best insult she had, but never got the chance. He glanced over when Hasuna raised her voice, then back at Kokoro when she left, her chair left wobbling in her wake. He only caught the end of Hasuna's speech, when she called Nagi a "nihilist vagabond" and demanded to leave with her regalia. And just like that, the meeting was over.

"Why did I wake up," Kana rolled his eyes as he stood up. He decided that Hafuu Honten wasn't enough. Not for what Devil put him through for a ten second meeting. He went to the front of the coffee shop and promptly ordered himself a slice of fruitcake and the most expensive drink on the menu.

It was a Java Chip Frappuccino in a trenta cup. He didn't know what trenta meant or what it entailed exactly, but dammit he was going to drink it. And Nagi was going to pay for it.

Kana took his fruitcake back to Nagi's table as he waited for the 2000 yen drink, pulling a chair closer and propping his feet on it. It didn't surprise him in the least to see that he reduced Hasuna to tears. It was mostly Devil Kana had this problem with, but there had been a few times when Nagi said something, oblivious to the way he would receive it. He took a bite of the fruitcake. Oh, it was so good. Wait, no, focus! Kana looked at the sobbing goddess again. That had been him the day before, except Devil had driven him out instead of Nagi.

Really, Nagi and Devil could probably manage to offend a street lamp without trying,
"Was this it? Or is there another god that you're supposed to meet, then offend within ten seconds?" he looked to Nagi, amused and irritated all at once.

Nagi
Kyoto, Coffee Shop

Nagi was surprised by Hasuana’s emotional outburst, though, if he thought about it again, he really shouldn’t be. Eyes widening, the Travel God took in the accusations, letting his gaze followed Hasuna as she made it to the door only to be blocked by Kokoroza. Then she burst into tears. The guilt clawed in before he could help himself. It wasn’t his intention to reduce the Goddess of Home and Hearth to tears—on his behalf no less. He really hadn’t expected her to care so much.

Meeting gazes with the regalia called Kimiza, Nagi nodded without saying anything. The regalia was protective her Goddess. It was a normal response. Praiseworthy even. Then Kana dropped back into his table with a slice of fruit cake.

You can always trust him to make light of a situation.

A smile threatened to emerge, but it was easily contained by the heaviness that still hung in the air. “Apparently.” Nagi replied to Kaname. He had no intention of going after Hasuna and forcing her to listen to him. He’d already done enough damage. Besides, it was probably better to let her cool off than further escalate the situation—since he was a god prone to honesty. Careless at times too. Nagi sighed. He wasn’t good at dealing with these sorts of things. “I hadn’t meant to offend her, but I can’t take back my words either…”

Mistakes made in life couldn’t be undone. They could be forgiven, but not undone, and will always be remembered. As they should. Once Hasuna and her regalias were gone, Nagi spoke again. “Revert, Hina”

In a brief flash of light, a pigtailed girl took the seat Hasuna left. She fiddled with her thumbs, not seeming to know what to do with the awkwardness.

“Do you think I’m a nihilist?”

“…Sometimes.”

Nagi knew his regalias deserved an explanation. Hasuna did to, but he wouldn’t force her to listen when she didn’t want to. Nagi generally didn’t force anyone to do anything. Least of all gods. “I don’t mean to be. I have no desire to leave either you or Kaname-kun alone. I have every intention of living however long I am able to the fullest. It’s just…I’ve long ago accepted my role as a god.”

Every god probably questioned it at one point. What their purpose was. How long they would continue to exist in the memories of humans. Whether they were simple wish-fulfillers meant to be used and discarded by humans. The recent problems only pulled up a scab that had been a long time festering. Meeting eyes with both Kaname and Hiname, Nagi said plainly.

“I am a god. One who wields regalias to bring hope to humans. I want to be worthy of that title. But, more than that, I love this world and the humans in it.” Regalias had died for his love. For his beliefs. He had no intention of letting their deaths be in vain. Kaname-kun needed to know what he was getting into. Nagi had stalled long enough. Every god worked differently. Did things their own way. Understood their duties differently. If his regalias were going to follow him, they needed to know where he stood. Nagi wanted them to think for themselves. He wanted to hear their thoughts. “If more phantoms are being born, it’s because humans are suffering. Even with all the technology they have, everything they’ve created, gloom is still born from their hearts—they just don’t know it. Perhaps it’s true that humans have abandoned the gods. But, looking at it another way, it’s possible that gods haven’t been doing enough to touch the lives of humans.”

Why did humans feel the need to build technology compared to a hundreds of years ago? The answer seemed obvious to Nagi. They still had needs to be fulfilled and gods weren’t enough. As the population of humans grew, the number of gods couldn’t keep up, and every wish couldn’t be granted. Thus humans stopped wishing. This was both good and bad.

“Rather than wait up in Heaven for prayers, or trying to force longevity with spells and rituals, I believe gods need to go to the root of the problem.” Nagi glanced up as a waiter brought Kaname’s order…a 13 shot venti soy hazelnut vanilla cinnamon white mocha and caramel. He raised an eyebrow, but didn’t comment. “If gods want more faith, they have to do what they can to be worthy of that faith. That's how I see it. I don’t know if it’s because I wasn’t born in Japan that I think differently..." Nagi sighed again. "Anyway, we’ll leave for Hafuu Honten after you finish your drink. Even if the meeting is over, the day is still young and there's still much to do.”

“Hafuu Honten? Whatever happened to gods needing to do more to touch the lives of humans?”

Nagi smiled. “I already said I intend to enjoy life to its fullest Hiname-chan.”

He’d find a way to apologize to Hasuna. Later. Possibly a letter with a full explanation, since Nagi seemed terrible at communicating his thoughts verbally. However, such difficult problems were best dealt with later.

Sachi
Kyoto, A Hospital

Sachi stopped short. Did Azani say Ai? Was Ai already back? Did that mean their temporary contract would be over and that Sachi would be released? The regalia bit her lip. No. Not yet. Still, Sachi couldn’t keep her confidence from wavering slightly as she followed Azani.

Sachi shook her head. No, no, no, no. A regalia’s strength was in their confidence. Ai was a Nora. Just a Nora. There was no way that Azani would choose Ai over her. Repeating those words made Sachi in her mind feel better as she slipped the mask back on her face. No matter what happened she wouldn’t waver. She would prove she was the better regalia.

Finally regaining her composure, Sachi was able to study her goddess. More specifically, she remembered the dread and sorrow in Azani’s tone as they arrived at the roof of the hospital building.

“It’ll be alright, Azani.” Sachi said comfortingly, even if she didn’t really have a clue how the relationship between Ai and Azani was. Did Azani actually distrust her Nora? If that’s the case, it was better for her. And Azani. Noras weren’t trustworthy. They had many names and there was no knowing where their true loyalty lay. They were scum, disliked by many gods. They treated the names they were given by gods like nothing.

It was time to explain some things to her regalia. And they also needed to find a good enough outfit for the wedding. When they got home she looked through the sewing room to find some fabric, doing housework always made her feel better. You need some nice clothes for the wedding girls, and even if you decide not to go you'll still need some for other special occasions. Which one do you like? She held up two lengths of cloth, one was red decorated with pink cherry blossoms, the other was turquoise with gold leaf. She continued holding up lengths of cloth until they both found some they liked. At the same time she explained some things about the gods. The Gods are born from the wishes of humans you see. When a human has a strong enough wish, it creates a God. And these gods are kept alive, and sustained for as long as people remember this God, and so long as they make wishes of these gods. I was created from the wish of a young widower, whose wife was lost in childbirth, and so he wished for someone to help him take care of his children and to provide a home for them. That is what I do, I help Grant wishes that turn a house into a home. Some wishes are simple to grant, others are harder. But all of them you must Grant, or you will disappear. Although Major gods like me have more leeway because we have so many worshippers. Though that can easily change. She worked rapidly, transforming the bolts of cloth into beautiful and stylish dress clothing. But I really shouldn't have gotten so angry at Nagi, and I don't mean to come off as though I don't care about humans, I care quite a lot for them because everyone deserves a good home. It's just that I get a bit testy when someone is so careless about themselves, I suppose Nagi may have a point that if the gods disappear it means the humans will have no more need of us. But the fact that we are still here means that we aren't through yet, and I certainly am not done. I don't think I'll be done for quite a while.

the Day of the Wedding

You arrive at the designated location the Ceremony will take place in. It's decked out with floral bouquets and elegant flower arrangements. Obviously, they had decided to mimic the wedding ceremony of mortals. Although the atmosphere is on the surface bright and cheery, full of congratulations and politeness, you can't help but notice that beyond that thin veneer is an undercurrent of tension caused by the breaking of tradition. It's a bit ironic.

Perhaps you're excited about this day, and you believe that to be able to see the Ceremonial Rite take place is a cause for celebration. Or perhaps you could care less and are only wondering how good the food will be and why is this outfit so darn uncomfortable?! Wherever you fit in this spectrum, you are ushered by some maidens to mingle with the crowd after they have inspected your invitation.
1523999411547.png

Security is tight today-- perhaps your hosts are worried there will be violence?-- as you can clearly see an orderly row of sword-bearing guards standing on the perimeter. It's a bit contrary to the mood they were going for: not too formal and stiff, elegance without being too starched.

In front of you there is a beautiful arrangement of blossoming branches with paper tags tied here and there. Each is a well wish for the couple, and a placard bids you to write a wish of good fortune to the kami and affix it to a branch. There are long strips of fine rice paper provided as well as calligraphy brushes.

Several gods are surrounding a table to the side of the room which is covered by platters of decadent food. There is a short queue in the back of the spacious room where guests are dropping off their gifts.

You are shocked to hear murmurs that Izanagi might also be in attendance.

The "bride" and "groom" are not yet present. Guests are generally mixing and mingling.

Ame
Location: Takamagahara

"....No Azani....I won't"

The words reverberated through the Nora's mind as she began getting dressed, slipping into the kimono she had worn long ago and even now the fabric had not faded. She fastened the waist and smoothed out the creases before doing her hair and looking over herself in the mirror. With a smile she exited out to the pair before her.

"Alright i am all done, how do i look?"

Hagaka questioned stepping closer to Ude and Inbu for the transportation to Takamagahara and the site of the wedding ceremony.

On that rooftop the Shinigami had asked again if she would want to be released and it hurt to see the young goddess to be so forward about the question when she had already given her the choice before hand. She replayed the remainder of the conversation. How Ai was glad that she had found another regalia to help her, a strong if not emotional one although she tried hard not to show it. That even though she had said regalia it changed nothing between their own bond and that she would keep the name Ai until Azani herself decided to relinquish it.

She also had apologized saying that Ude and Inbu had still required her assistance and that it would be a little longer until they could meet again.
With that and a bow she had left to return to Ude although her hands clenched the bags she held tightly in reluctance to do so.

Time had passed since then and Hagaka used the time wisely resting up after going days without sleep and fighting phantoms continuously. Being with Ude and Inbu gave the Nora time to relax and mend although she did begin training the young regalia as best she could between sleep and running errands.

They had been working on borderlines up until yesterday and Hagaka was rather impressed with his progress but warned of the appropriate times to use such a skill.
Shaking her head as the images faded from her sight she cleared her throat and looked to the two men.

"You both look great...Are we ready to go?"

She asked pushing down whatever else had begun to linger in her thoughts before light encompassed them all and they reappeared at the steps of the weddings establishment.

Hagaka's hair blew slightly against the rush of air that followed with their teleportation and she quickly fixed her bangs to hide the name over her left brow. She had done her best to hide every name she could the only visible one now showing was Azanis which was placed on the dorsum of her left hand.

It was not out of fear of others knowing she was Nora but rather to respect the audience of the ceremony and to not ruin the festivities or cause a scene.
The female just hoped he....would not be in attendance..

The guards which were all high level regalia that belonged to heaven were armed and ready for a fight if one broke out. It was strange to see such a display.
Would a god actually attempt to disturb such proceedings? To do so would bring every power known to the far shore down on them.
Hagaka turned to the boys as she was asked for the invitation.

"Inbu..if you would be so kind"

She replied before stepping back to allow the boy to hand it over and allow them through.
