That awkward moment when I mistakenly read Petal's post as

[QUOTE="colour petal]

"C'mon Saday, you don't wanna miss all the fun." Coryn winked at her, laughing. She chuckled not knowing what to say. With a steady pace she moved to meet the rest of them. All her rear was ready to use. Now I doubt there will be much action here, but it never hurt to be ready.

:D

id also like to add that i havent gotten an Alert from this OCC in awhile, hence i never did see this map. nor did i see any of this following conversation 'till just now. glad i could be of amusement.

I like to point out issues, however small, in entertaining ways. It's not a critical error what you and Petal are doing, but it does stab the mind and eyes to an extent. Also I am afraid you two will carry this onto Amaranth which would devastate what I have envisioned that game to be. Amaranth is even more case-sensitive, so to speak.

Your posting is more than fine, Contrition, it's just that you should be less trigger-happy when it comes to quoting. If you think about it you'll realize all those quotes are really redundant.

i'll give you the redundant point for the posts i start with quotes. but i end up working a lot of them into the middle of my posts as my character reacts to the situation, if its this devastating i'll try to stop quoting so much. sorry for the eye sores

Yes, sometimes you post quotes in the middle, however, the solutions displayed elaborately in the examples above demonstrate my point. It feels more natural, readable and literate to manage quoting in ways that explain you are quoting, rather than quote. Not to say you cannot quote when there's a real need for it.

I think I've already said this before, but one of the good ways to quote would be this:

Wolf

The commander stood up. "What do you mean, cake gone?"

---------------------------------------------------------------------

Lareo

What do you mean, cake gone?

"I don't know, sir. It's just... gone." reported O'Neill, disaster written all over his face.

You can quote text in italic, without bold, or perhaps with. It is not necessary to even color it. The thought itself, being repeated in italic is more than enough to emphasize and clarify what you are referring to. Again, you should not quote immediately after the post you are following up on.

Yeah I figured you would, but Petal is worrying me. I even think she's the one who infected you with this outrageous habit :P

actually im pretty sure i started it cause i kept seeing her do it lol. i know i got it off someone. cause this is basically the first forum thread RP ive done. like i told you before i joined this site my RP history was pretty much playing old school starcraft, and msn sessions with a friend and her forum members which she would transcribe to said forum. but i never actually went on that forum lol xD

also, i just made a post, and didnt even quote you :P lol

No wonder you couldn't open the lock, you were pushing imaginary buttons instead of spinning the rotary lock.

WAITWAITWAIT! You shot at a secure, armored case that was on a ship belonging to a player character that is presently in the group? Why, oh why did you think that was a good idea? There's a shitton of explosives and munitions stockpiles in there too, a single ricochet could set it off!

This reminds me of the minefield example way back in this very OOC...

Anyway, all I can officially say on the matter is that the metal case in question was stolen by Karnsk's crew upon raiding an Alliance vessel. It was part of the cargo, though a most peculiar and unusual one, and they didn't manage to open it yet. Initial attempts were unsuccessful, and later there was no time when they encountered the heavy cruiser that shot the Meatfucker down.

Rookie!? ROOKIE!? That's Major Rookie For you, mister-master Rustbucket! And you go right ahead! There's already so many people haunting me, that when you join in- We can throw a party!

Currently waiting on, erm, people who are due to post. It's action time, since you are apparently getting bored on Karnsk's pocket vessel.

Updated equipment for O'Neill and Tyder according to in game decisions.

Uhh, Contrition? What the hell gats are you talking about? The ones the size of a man on top of the ship, or the CIWS on the AAA?

i had meant to edit that before i left for work last night. sorry, edited now. been fighting a cold i guess my mind wasn't quite focused, sorry

i thought we had been ontop of the ship fiddling with the giant gun, i remembered we were in the hold with the vehicle, so i meant to edit it, similar concept though.

Hey Xen, my own question, we found the vehicle on the same level as we entered right? cause all that was said was "a while later" we found it
